Prob one of the nicest curry house in the Wirral !

Amazing!. So much choice on vegan menu, and even made a vegan korma, on request, which was gorgeous!!

I first came to this restaurant 16 years ago when I lived close by. I was passing through today and decided it would be lovely to go there again as I had loved it first time round. Wow, it’s even better now. Genuine Keralan cuisine which reminded me of the food I had enjoyed on my couple of visits to Kerala. You have to eat here. It’s amazing!

The food is excellent, generous portions and great prices. The service was fast and friendly. Three of us went for the third time and tried kerala porotta with chicken fry and malabar chicken curry , lamb biriyani and mango shake . They all were excellent and delicious especially the porotta . Highly recommended and trustworthy .

We had an amazing dinner here. Visited to celebrate my friends birthday. Got to experience best authentic kerala foods in Uk. Staffs were fantastic. We odered chatti chor, pothichoru, kerala parotta and lamb mapas. Chatti chor and kerala parotta is a must try. Will visit again.

Food wasn't meant for mallus, asked for a glass of water and didn't even bother to give one! Understaffed!! Wouldn't recommend it to fellow South Indians !! Not for us! Not spicy not tasty just some cooked food items

First visit to this gem of a restaurant and we will be back. Great atmosphere, wonderful staff and excellent food. Can’t praise it highly enough.

Quite decent. Good food, friendly staff. Only downside is a bit long waiting time but luckily we were not in rush :P

This visit was Kerala Kitchen at it's best. Food was delicious, we asked for starters to be served alongside our mains, everything was piping hot, potato bonda was just divine and the porota bread, mm mm mm lovely. Would highly recommend

Have been here several times and the food is always amazing, Went for Vishu sadhya and it was amazing, ended up eating far too much because of how tasty it was. I highly recommend them

Service was okay but this was the worst tasting Indian meal we have had ever. Onion bhajis were soggy, but the curries - good lord, what did they put in them. Vile.

Had food from the authentic section at the back of the menu, food was excellent, there is nothing around like it. You have a really good mix of standard Indian cuisine and some real authentic ones. We'll worth a try

The menu is a bit long but the food is 🔥🔥. The atmosphere was cozy and great, the service was excellent. The price is pocket friendly. I would recommend it for all the people who would like south Indian food. You can check out this place at least once.

As someone who was brought up on Indian food I can tell you that this is the most authentic Indian restaurant on the wirral and I've been to many. The food is outstanding, you can tell everything is made from scratch and I've never had a bad meal here and I've eaten here a lot!! The staff are super friendly, helpful, welcoming and can't do enough for you. The only thing that could be improved is the atmosphere as it lacks natural light although there is a big window at the front of the restaurant the blinds are always shut. If the restaurant had natural light and lighter colours in the restaurant it would make it a better experience for guests.

On re-locating back to Wirral we were trying out the local takeaways. Kerala Kitchen is head and shoulders above everything else we've tried. I would go as far as to say that I had the best takeaway curry that I've ever had in over 60 years from Kerala Kitchen. Beautifully cooked, ready on time and just so immaculate inside too. Will be back soon!

Delicious food, and very nice staff. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

The food was pretty good, not amazing, but perfectly fine. The problem was the amount of meat. I got a fish curry which contained only 4 really small pieces of fish. The dish consisted mostly of veg and sauce. It was nice though. Also, the naan bread was fresh, but very thin and therefore crispy/crunchy. I'd much prefer my naan to be soft and fluffy. Guys who work there are really nice, very friendly.

It was a great experience to have a nice dinner in the banana leaves with authentic kerala cuisine at Kerala Kitchen today. If someone wants to enjoy the real taste of South Indian food at Merseyside this will be the right choice. Definitely value for money 🥰

Fantastic, tasty food went just before Christmas and Staff were incredible too.

Overall it was an excellent experience to have food from there and the taste of food was really tasty as it resemblance the Indian food

We are regulars and so other than saying south Indian delights of dosa and other vegetarian delights for our friends they also put up with tyrant tots antics family friendly

Went for the first time tonight after finding out they had vegan menu - our new Indian favourite 10000% The staff are all absolutely lovely, the food is 10/10, my boyfriend said the best Indian food he’s ever eaten! Can tell all the food is fresh and not swimming in oil like other Indians. Honestly amazing thank you - we will not be going anywhere else!

Went here for the first time, was expecting it to be quite by being Sunday hence we walked in without prior booking. it was fully packed on arrival, waited 10 minutes for our table and had a bit of long Waite for our food to arrive but we were made comfortable and looked after well while having our drinks and startes by the polite staff. Food very tasty like home cooked. The palm tree in the middle has given an added bonus to the beautiful ambiance Definitely will come back soon

Fantastic atmosphere, food and service is second to none. Our second time here with family, we travelled far for the authentic food. Vast menu to choose from and we tried different items from last time and thoroughly enjoyed. Will be back soon.

Hi, I went to this restaurant today evening with my family. I had to wait with my family for nearly 1 hour. Very slow service. Might be different for others but from my experience, very bad service. I don’t recommend this place to anyone else. Other people who came in after us, got served even the waiters asked them ‘do you want anything else?’. It was almost like they wanted to slow the service down for us. Like they wanted to serve their natives, not us.

Perfect spicy and balanced hot quotient. Will go again!!

It has been a long time since I came here from Kerala, so I was missing home food. That's how I came to Kerala Kitchen. Amazing food.I would recommend Kerala Kitchen to everyone who wants to eat authentic Kerala food.

Went here for the very first time after craving for homely food for long time. We found this place through an instagram recommendation of authentic Kerala food. The decors itself given us the real Kerala vibes. We were greeted by a very pleasant staff, the place were almost full even though it was midweek. We have selected all different dishes as a group to share and try including beef coconut fry, Kerala Porotta , Malabar chicken curry, Nan breads, chattichoru, fish pollichathu chicken fried rice and nilgiri Lamb. We found all items very authentic, freshly made and tasty. Beef coconut fry and fish pollichathu is a must try items and which took me back to Kerala. Kerala Porotta is very crispy and fluffy and Nan breads very soft. We all thoroughly enjoyed the ambience food and service. Will be back soon to try masala dosa and other items on the menu. Glad we found this place. Will recommend this to anyone looking for authentic South Indian taste.

Came here due to the awards that it has won but if that is "the best Indian on the Wirral" then there are some serious problems. Worst Indian by a country mile. Made of point of traveling here for a birthday meal and arrived just before our table reservation. Even though there were only two other tables dining at the same time, it took a good 15 minutes to even get a drink ordered..then another 10 minutes for the drinks to come. At this point we ordered our meal (the menu options printed are very limited but you can ask for other things..weird). Starter arrived 20 minutes later.. tasty and had so much potential to make the evening worth while..however, after finishing the starters it took way to long for the plates to be cleared up and we both had empty glasses at this point. From sitting down to recieving our main meal it took just over 1.5 hours which is just unacceptable. When the food arrived the curry had 5 small chunks of chicken in it and the sauce tasted like that of chipshop curry sauce..the rice was bland and the naan bread could've been used as a Frisbee. I didn't bother eating mine. My husband ate his but wasn't overly happy with it, though his naan was considerably nicer. Was more focused on getting out and picking something up on the way home. They seem to have a lot of orders placed for take away or delivery which is great for them as a business but you can tell that this is what they prioritise over their dine in guests.

First time here in 10 years following such positive reviews and awards. Couldn't have been more disappointed. Terrible service (long waits to order, for drinks to arrive and food to be served). When it was it didn't come at the same time. Some of the dishes were not available (eg tandoori chicken). Beef starter very poor. It's a shame because some of the dishes were nice We were spoken to towards the end to explain that they had catered a wedding today causing the delays but notwithstanding this we were still charged full price without any reduction. Evening spoiled, very poor experience.

This is REAL Keralan cuisine. Truly original Indian regional food, I promise you won't find these flavours and special taste experiences anywhere else. This is the hidden gem of all Indian restaurants in the North West, people should be flocking from many many miles around to experience the sensation. Great menu, fair prices, perfect meats and fish and vegetables, wonderful friendly helpful service and the story of the Kerala food is ready to be unfolded to you if you chat with the staff. Can't wait to return here. Brilliant. Update - we returned here mid September, more fabulous food, and talks with the amazing friendly staff team. And also we learned a lot more about traditional Keralan food. And then a while lot more Again, when the superb Kerala authentic food menu was reviewed in detail. It's in the menu. Hidden in plain sight! ;0))

Fantastic. Very rare I leave any review but I had too with this place. Food staff price all ten out of ten.

Very tasty food but it was cold by the time we got it home. Didn't have a microwave at the time to warm it up. May try again another day.

Service Great, Wine very Resonably priced, Unfortunatly the food was not up to par with frozen vegetables instead of fresh thus lacking the crunch, also spice was provided with the use of powder rather than chillies.

Food was good, but was overcharged on the drinks, should have checked the bill before I paid it.!!

My favourite restaurant by far. Proper South Indian dishes as well as the usual B.I.R. food. Excellent experience every time. That's why we go 🙂

5 members of my family had a sit in meal last night the food was fantastic always is however when we got the bill there was a £1.50 charge per person for bringing our own alcohol into the restaurant even though 2 of us were drinking non alcoholic drinks after saying Iwas not prepared to pay it they deleted it from the bill ..please check your bill for hidden extras ...we will not be eating there again

Really attentive Waiter, food was good and paced well also good value for money.you can take your own drinks but £1.50 corkage per person.

The best Indian we’ve had on the Wirral. Unlike most other Indian places, they do South Indian food as well and done very well. We’ve tried both a takeaway and a sit in. The food at the sit in was definitely more fresh and delicious however taking off one star as service was very slow. Best thing is the amazing vegan menu! Facilities wise - would be good if they had baby changing table but otherwise amazing food with ample vegan choices :)

Came here for the first time me and my wife order the same thing from every Indian, butter chicken and chicken jalfrrezi and I would give them both a 9/10 for taste and value and the service is really good would recommend

I ordered some vegetarian food from Kerala Kitchen. The Masala Dosa filling had a awful taste and the chilli paneer tasted nothing like what it should do, I couldn't even finish the food. This is not what they serve in India I can guarantee you this. How they can call this South Indian food is an absolute disgrace. Not authentic at all. This is served up purely for the local man who is unaware of real South Indian food. Avoid.

They have a vegan menu or section called Vegan Fusion. We ordered a few things and it was so tasty and we really enjoyed it. We will definitely be coming back. We ordered online which was easy and we picked up the food, we parked directly outside , they ask you to ring when you arrive so they can deliver it to you outside and they delivered it to our car. Staff member is spoke to was nice.

two days ago was the first time we came to that magnificent restaurant. But It is definitely not the last. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the attentive service, with the magnificent cuisine and booze and with the decent cost. We will absolutely go back there again.

Fabulous, authentic South indian cuisine! Clean and lovely staff!

Went for a for a meal with the family this evening. The service was absolutely terrible. On numerous occasions the staff left our table to answer the phone for phone orders. I find this unacceptable seeing we had bothered our backside to come in to the place. No new cutlery for our main was asked to use starter cutlery, felt like reheated bhajis, currys was tiny and tastless and didn't taste right, not one of us enjoyed it and when we mentioned it all we got was a sorry all that is is lip service. Tried to pay bill and again phone come first. Been to many Curry houses on the wirral this has to be the worst for service.

We love Kerala Kitchen- it’s our local Indian restaurant and, as always, the friendliness of staff was delightful, they were as accommodating as ever, and the food was lovely! It’s great value here, especially on this special Indian version of Harvest Festival. The family team had surpassed themselves with a fantastic banquet, all dressed up in traditional costume and only too happy to explain the theme and each specially prepared dish! My only improvement request here is for the room temperature to be warmer as I’m always cold- but then I do like to be toasty and they always accommodate my request to close doors! A fantastic vegan menu available too!

This is the best Indian restaurant in the North-West! It serves authentic Southern Indian dishes and classic curries, all are fantastic. I have eaten here for many years and also collected many takeaways and never had any problems. The food is always hot and delicious and the team always very friendly. I can’t recommend this place highly enough, thank you Kerala Kitchen.

Don't mind the quirky decor the staff were nice but the food wasn't great. The chicken was tough in both our meals and really nothing special . The masala dosa's were authentic would not go back..

Saturday 29th of August 2020 I placed an order online collection for the following: Chicken Korma, Pilau Rice, Onion Baji's, Popadoms, Nann Bread, and Chips. When order was ready I drove off home back to Moreton, not far from the Mill House Tesco's, maybe 4-5 Minute drive max. Once in my road I got a phone call off the woman who works at Kerala Kitchen saying they forgot to put my Nann Bread in the bag and can I drive back? I replied yes am on my way, I said I would like fresh chips, and also Onion Baji's (starter) as these are more likely not to be hot and possibly just warm by the time I drive back to the restaurant and back home for a second time, as that would be a total of 12-15 Minutes Driving. I never asked for a new main or rice as these should be hot still in the plastic containers and specially with hot korma sauce over the chicken. I was abit annoyed, as they should of offered to deliver the food to my address as it was their mistake. Once back in Kerala Kitchen Young man in his mid 20 appologises, asked if I lived far, I said no only in Moreton 4-5 minutes away. Woman then appologises past me the food. Got home, and my Nann Bread you would think was hot was freezing cold and not replaced. Onion Baji's was cold, not.even warm. My Korma was cold not warm and the rice. Only thing that was hot was the chips. Swollowed a bit of each as I was testing it, as was my partner. I was fuming I spent £27 on cold food we did not want to eat, and messed about with, we ended up.binning it as it was all cold and ruined our meal at home. So I wanted my money back, phoned asked to speak to the manager, the older male who worked in the kitchen said he was the manager, I explained it all to him, he would not refund me, he was being rude and cutting over me on the phone and saying it's my fault I live so far away and the food was hot once I left the resturant. I tried ro explain it's cold due to you forgetting to put some of my order in the bag and asking me.to come back. I explained I don't live far and that's not the reason it's cold, as I live in Moreton 4 minutes away. So my partner took over tried to explain to the manager, again he was being rude cutting over my partner. So my partner asked to speak to the woman. She would not let my parter speak, and said no refund it's your fault you live far away and she hung up on my partner. Never going back again, I no this review will not stop people going in, but just be mindful when taking order out, they will not go above and beyond like most restuarants would if complaining. They are rude, and a disgrace. They did not refund me, and the food was cold and does not stay hot for long. They cut you when talking/explaining which is a pet hate. During the night, I actually had stomach pains, The next day in work on Sunday, my stomach was in bits, I had to use the toilet many times and felt sick. Sunday night, I was in bed early and slept right through due to being Ill. This is all down to bad quality food not being hot and cooked properly. 1 star is for the young male in his mid 20's, he seemed the only person who works in Kerala Kitchen with mannors.

No nice welcome to the restaurant from staff. Had to ask them to put some background music on as all you could hear is chefs music in kitchen. upstairs toilets are disgusting was a per of shorts or trousers left on window ledge looked wet. Got wrong food delivered to table had to wait 5 minutes for a tikka sauce while 3x chicken tikka hot plates left on table to add sauce. Also staff putting there fingers though there hair to keep there hair up out of eyes then serving food to tables is wrong lost count how many time he done it. I wanted to say something but my partner told me to leave it. Will not be returning.

We were ignored for 20 minutes even though they weren't busy. Then they thought they can serve starter with mains. When we asked for it to be served earlier popadums were stale and by this time it was already an hour. We should have left but food was tasty in the past so thought it might make up for the wait. Food was cold, order was incomplete, and not tasty either. Such a shame.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful evening here this week after being recommended by my parent's who also went there a few days ago.The staff were polite , humble and professional and the food was excellent.It was not oily and heavy like many curries in the UK. My husband has travelled in India for work and was really impressed by the genuine and high quality dishes. We enjoyed a few different starters as well as rice and naan and chapatis. My husband also had dosa with curried potatoes which was fabulous. The curries could possibly have a bit more meat in, but flavours were lovely. The restaurant is clean and we got served very quickly.We will definitely return very soon.

A first since shielding from March, tea out, a belated anniversary meal in fact. We booked a table for early evening at Kerala Kitchen and I can't believe we haven't been there before. It was absolutely delicious and is just a very short walk from home so no designated driver required but there is parking availableoutside if you'relucky or nearby. Social distancing was dealt with really well and staff serving all wore masks etc. The food was piping hot and so fresh and flavourful, we will definitely be back. We shared poppadoms and delicious chutneys with our drinks, then Eri Pori chicken served with fresh side salad and a hint of coconut dressing. I had lamb pepper fry for my main which was so delicious and had the perfect amount of spice for me. I then just had to have a mango kulfi to finish and it did not disappoint, it was really good. Kerala Kitchen are registered for the 'eat out to help out' scheme so August would be a great time to visit as you save up to £10 per person on your bill.

We hadn't been before and fancied trying somewhere new. Good social distancing, and helpful staff. The chicken balti was delicious and definitely in my top 3 favourites. You can take your own alcohol but there is a £2 corkage per person.

Owned and run by people from Kerala, this restaurant gives an authentic taste of this area of India plus. The place is welcoming, the staff are friendly and attentive making you feel 'at home'. So much choice which arrives on hot dishes and plates very tasty and good portions

Indistinct curries, just different colours, mine didn't have any heat in it for a Madras. Expensive for what it was.

Came here after a recommendation from a friend but was a bit disappointed. Had some difficulty communicating with the waiter and he seemed like he wasn’t confident with what he was doing. Most food was OK, albeit too expensive for what it was. One member of our party wasn’t happy with meal and complained. However, it was not taken off our bill. Not really a fan of the decoration for valentines. Won’t be returning unfortunately. Bit of a shame.

Used to be a regular before moving out of country - thought it would be nice to revisit as we're back in the UK for Christmas. Unfortunately, it was absolutely awful. Can only describe the service as that you would expect from Manuel at Fawlty Towers - no experience! Slips, trips and spills could have resulted in someone being seriously hurt. My starter, chicken chat, was still refrigerated and had to be sent back. Thought the main course would be a saving grace, but i was wrong again.... All-in-all, terrible dining experience; i started to wonder if i was somehow caught up in the middle of a Quinton Tarantino movie - bizarre!

Returned having previously loved the cuisine?OMG seriously having a bad night dis jointed service before we decide to leave what was served was tasty but not a full service eg main no rice poor excuse, we have left more than less full so so sad little cost for poor representation. So sorry lovely taster not happy to recommend.
