Millennium Tandoori in Wirral

Food is ok, but their timing is atrocious. If they tell you your takeaway will be ready in 30 mins you can comfortably add another 20 mins. Regularly !! Fine if you like hanging around staring out the window. Explanation or apology, no !!

I ordered lamb chops starter and korma main with peshwari naan The lamb chops were awful. None of the meat was edible due to being hard and gristly. The main was tasteless and the Peshawari naan had zero coconut. Used to come here a lot but I’m going to swerve it for a while. Such a shame.

The last few times we have been disappointed with the quality of the food. Tonight it was okay but small portions and very expensive for what we got. Delivery was an argument that blamed us for their mistakes. It’s the last time we order from here after good service and food in the past. Last 3/4 times of poor food is enough for us to now give up on the Millenium :(

Always fabulous food which is consistent.

We had a chicken tikka masala and a chicken bhuna. The most bland tasteless curry I've ever had..do not recommend

Update - This had been my go to takeaway for years and was consistently great ( see earlier review) Unfortunately, my last 3 orders have been no better than average and especially disappointing given the formerly high standards. Ordered 3 mains and 3 sides. All delicious. The wait for delivery is lengthy, but you just need to factor that in before you order and, 9 times out of 10, the food meets with my high expectations and is worth the wait.

Couldn’t believe the recent reviews for what was in my opinion the best Indian takeaway in the area so my wife and I ordered our favourite dishes usually cooked to perfection.Sadly I have to totally agree with the recent negative comments.My medium spiced dhansak actually contained no spice,had no flavour and was just a bland mushy sauce covering a handful of small chicken pieces and one pineapple slice.On closing my eyes I had no idea I was eating a curry.Absolutely dreadful and won’t be returning here again unless things change to how it used to be.

This has always been the best Indian takeaway around for miles but this is now the second time I've been and have had a poor meal. I ordered a meal and asked for it to be vindaloo level of hotness,what I received had zero heat whatsoever and lacked any discernable spices.In fact I've had hotter crisps,put that together with a lot of grease and it made for a poor meal. Maybe chefs have changed but it'll be a long time before I go back there.

Absolutely shocking service would not bother. Sent the wrong stuff asked for money back they say no we will give u money of the nxt time

I don't think I've ever had occasion before to simply throw away an Indian takeaway meal without eating it but the meals that were recently delivered to me were so bad that's exactly what I did. My wife had a chicken madras that actually tasted of nothing. I'm not quite sure how that is even possible! My chicken pathia was like pieces of cardboard in a tomato gloop and the keema naan was a soggy mess. I have had meals from here before that were really quite good but based on this recent offering I won't be in any hurry to order from here again.

all of the food is really good and delivery is quick and always on time, the place has stood the test of time and the staff are always happy and friendly

Murg Taj epic dish spot on, got one which was too spicy for me they remade dish less hot for me no extra cost and free popodoms what a sevice. Update:-kept getting food poisoning 4/5 last time used and the murg taj dish kept changing! Don’t eat from here anymore, inconsistent dish’s and food poisoning!

Have ordered from them on and off for years and years. Won’t any more. Delivery times have become ridiculous (1hr50). Bhajis and other starters are good but main courses average at best. Last time I ordered a lamb biryani, I’d requested medium heat, they made it madras hot (and hot madras at that!). I could hardly eat it. Also proudly written on box ‘no omelette’. Why? I didn’t say no omelette during on line order? I’ll try somewhere else next time or, by far better, make my own curry at home

You can't beat this Indian takeaway, delivery is always on time, very friendly staff, and the food is out of this world, highly recommended

I don't complain ever but this was so tasteless won't curry I've ever had.

Had meal for 1 last night costing £12.99 all food was cold. Poppadoms we’re soft and mixed meat was chewy. This is the 1st time I’ve ordered from here and I won’t be ordering again. Very dissatisfied 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾

Decided to try Millennium Tandoori in Heswall and was not disappointed. The Curries were excellent. Pre ordered Online and opted for Delivery. The food arrived without delay and Piping Hot. Very impressed and will be ordering from there again

A wide ranging menu, food quality is consistently high.

Order was a bit late as they were insanely busy but the food was worth waiting for. All meals were delicious (as ever) and piping hot. We’ve never been disappointed with their food even when trying a new dish. Been going there for several years and I’ll be going there for several more. A***

The food is fine but don't expect it to arrive on time, normally an hour late, this has happened a few times now so won't be going back

Sorry but I have to compliment the MT yet again. Worked out that we've been on average once every 3 weeks for 22 years!! Every time it's been superb without fail. Can't say any more than that. Plus the staff are always so pleasant too.

Very tasty food, great vegetarian selection! I often find some takeaways have limited options for vegetarians or they just taste a bit bland, every meal I've had from here has been excellent.

The Millenium tandoori has an incredible range of curries, rices & breads. As a vegetarian, I am normally limited to my options, however the Millenium gave me many! I usually go for a korma, as I’m not a fan of spice, however I decided to try the Mixed Vegetable Garlic Curry and it was incredible! A nice medium spice and fragrant flavours! Will definitely be returning & recommend everyone to try!🙌🏻

We've been getting our takeaways and deliveries from the Millennium for the last few years and have always enjoyed the food. The Onion Bhajis are incredible - crisp and full of flavour and we've enjoyed a wide range of curries of which our favourite is the Passandra. Staff always friendly and happy to cope with any special dietary requests such as gluten and dairy free if you ask. Recommended +++

We have had an Indian takeaway nearly every week from Millennium and have never been disappointed. Staff are friendly. Food is excellent quality. Ordered at 5 for collection at 7 and ready on time. We had chicken silsilla x2, peshwari naan and pilau rice costing £17.66. Please support local businesses. Can highly recommend Millennium.

After a 2 hour wait for delivery, we decided to drive to collect. When we arrived they said it would be another hour wait. Food was ready in 30 mins but the food was awful, sauce was bland, chips where over cooked, rice was hard and the chicken is not good quality. It was all just tasteless. Won't be ordering from here again.

Order a Takeaway, theres long wait for food, don't mind waiting but tell me it's going to be 1 hour or 1hour 15mins not 30 mins and with this Covid19 it's not safe to be hanging around in waiting area.Plus Curry's are becoming inconsistent one day tasty food and next two three orders are bad and this has been happening since early 2019, but our loyalty is being tested to the brink of non-existent.Think it's time for a new Chef

I ordered the Murgi Taj and a keema rice with a few popadoms and chutneys and i have say it was amazing. Great job from these guys. The staff are really freindly to boot. Highly recommend this takeaway.

Waited an hour for our food which we collected and were told 30mins. They have a policy where they only start cooking your food once you arrive and pay. The chicken was awful quality that bad I thought it was raw. Stick to Heswall tandoori. Never again for us

First time visitor yesterday and have to say it was the best curry we have ever had! We opted for collection and it was ready when we walked through the door. Very clean, professional, cannot fault it!

Yes, me again. Just had to say again how brilliant the Millennium Tandoori is after another great meal last night. Now under the first class management of Saeed - a fantastically efficient yet extremely friendly head. If you're not sure what to order off the menu, rest easy - it's ALL superb, every dish. Only thing to check with them and on the menu, is whether you like your curries mild, medium or hot. Recommended it over and over and everyone has been ecstatic and become regulars. 5* and great value.

Please, I bef you do not order from this takeaway for delivery! They lie and lie again about how long you will wait...and wait...and wait...and wait. I would rather go elsewhere if the wait was so long but they assume once the order is in they have you!! NEVER EVER AGAIN. Utterly disgraceful...as for the food?? Well who knows!

Have a weekly takeaway and always order same thing, chicken tikka Balti, Jalfrezi hot... asked for recommendation and tried the Murgh Taj, wow it was an amazing tasty dish....best take away/delivery in the area....

My friends had the butter chicken cheese and Sylheti Gosth equally as delicious, order on a Saturday night and was pritty quick considering we’re in greasby, will most defiantly be order again next week found my new favourite keep up yhd good work 👍

Friend recommended this place the best Indian on the Wirral by a country mile won’t order from any where else now, food is amazing and reasonably priced always quick and piping hot which is good going considering it coming to West Kirby from Heswall the naga is a must try (not for the faint hearted tho very )highly recommend!

We had a chicken shashlik with madras sauce, a mixed kebab starter & a chicken tandoori main last night. The shashlik was the best takeaway I’ve ever had & the girls loved their meals too. Just one thing, you missed out my chilli naan, lads

Great meal last night from millennium. Mixed kebab starter was lovely and freshly cooked. Main meals of chicken bhuna and jalfrazi full of flavour the jalfrazi having just the right amount of heat. Credit to the chefs last night, best takeaway curry we've had for a long time, cheers, Ian and di.

We have been coming here over 10 years but over the last two years the service has been awful. We always ring our order through and ask what time it will be ready, and we pay when we pick it up.

when ordered online at 5.45pm wait time for delivery was 60 mins, quickly changed to 75 mins, at 7.15 called millennium to be told it would be there in 10 minutes, 30 mins later STILL not arrived! How can a business run on lies!!!!!

Tried Millennium as my usual was closed. I now have a new favourite. Large tasty portions. Delivered on time and nice and hot.

Best indian take away I have used always very high quality and you can see the food being cooked. Used it for 10 years and never been disappointed. The starters are fantastic especially the chicken tikka.

Ordered this evening online everything seemed faultless there delivery time was within 75 mins ... ok its Sunday we can wait ... 20 mins after due delivery we phoned up to check where our order was and a rude man stated it would be half a hour when we asked why we had no response we asked for a refund and the rude man put the phone down, we rang again to be told the manger wasn't available to refund the money but we could have 20% discount ... we stated that we wish to cancel our order and again the phone was put down ... with this we drove to the shop and asked to talk to the manager he said that that was him , after we challenged him to why on two occasions he'd hung up on us, he stated that he'd been busy the food was ready and we could have it for free !!! I don't think so after poor customer service and hearing that other customers where waiting for there food there is no way I would ever recommend this rude unprofessional incompetent Indian

The Millennium Tandori has the advantage of a good website and food can be ordered and collected or delivered at a time of the customers choosing. We have never been disappointed with the quality of their meals.

Recuerdo que el milenio celebrando su primer aniversario de calle en 1999 y celebrado recientemente sus 18 con su oferta especial de 3 días. Aunque estaban muy ocupados durante este período, el servicio fue excelente, como siempre, y el cordero y el pollo Tikka Tikka Sagwalla Pathia estaban cocinados a la perfección!

If I'm going to get a takeaway I go the Millennium. End of story. Great value, great service and most importantly great food. It competes with any and all Indians I've ever been to!!!

Fab food - they cook it in an open kitchen so you can watch. Friendly staff and quick service - never had to wait long. The food is very good all except for the nan bread which can be rather dry and hard. Doesn't put us off though, we are regulars and will continue to be.

We visited the Millennium as our usual take-away was closed. Food was OK, but the service was terrible. We were told our order would be ready in 20 mins - 45 minutes later, we were still waiting. The waiting area was heaving with similarly-disgruntled customers. We won't be returning in a hurry.

Our regular Indian take away. Excellent Indian food, especially for a take away. Would prefer over a number of Indian restaurants. Particularly favourites include the Chicken Chili Masala, extra hot chicken tikka masala and fab onion bhajis but also many other really good dishes. Good reliable delivery service to the local area.

Indian food often loses something between the restaurant and home, I don't know how Millennium do it but the quality of their food is excellent, great value and helpful staff.

Ordered from here a few times.Cannot fault the place.The staff are very friendly,approachable and professional.The food is always fresh,tasty and made to your requirements.If there isn't a particular dish on the menu the chef is happy to make it for you no problem.The price is reasonable and cheaper than the competitors in the area but the quality and high standards in the food don't falter.Everything is cooked in an open kitchen.Very clean and organised.Staff are always dressed smart and always greet you when you come in.I sometimes collect my order or have it delivered.Delivery is really quick and the food is always piping hot.Best curry house in the Wirral definitely recommend.A firm favourite in my household.

So decided to give them another try, and I'm more than happy to say the food was excellent, a little spicy....but then I'm not complaining, I love spicy ! But a massive improvement and I'm so glad that we can use our local Indian takeaway with confidence again !!!Will done !

Just a quick review to say we had a takeaway from here a while ago, but it was almost too hot to eat. By a way it was the hottest curry we've had. I can only assume it was a blip, but the 'medium' was almost too hot to eat and I couldn't even touch the 'hot' one. I think the taste was OK but really could hardly tell......

This our favourite Indian takeaway but not only for the quality of the food. When we order we do it online via their app. The process is brilliant, the interactive menu even allows you to enter your special requests. You can then pay by the method of your choice. I always use PayPal and never had a problem, all you do then is select your delivery time and wait for the doorbell to ring. Excellent service.

Beautifully fresh food, no oils overtaking the food. Generous portions and very tasty. Best Indian meal we have had by a long way. Will be visiting again.
