Spice Regency in Newark and Sherwood

Ordered for the first time last night for a birthday party and everyone was very pleased with the food. All of it was delicious and delivered warm, fast and with a smile! We will definitely order from here again. 5 stars!

Very tasty food, the guy on the counter is also very friendly and gives very good suggestions.

Easily the best South Asian takeaway in the area! I regularly order from here and can confirm that a wide variety of their dishes are always delicious, fresh & authentic (highly recommend, especially to fellow Desi people looking for proper cultural food.) They are very accomodating when adding notes for additions/general changes to your order, and the portion sizes are generous. I would personally advise trying the Lamb Biryani, with raita and the mixed pickle.

If I could leave 0 stars I would, Horrible place, tried to call the police on me because I couldn’t pick up my order in time due to road works. The worst part is is that they made me pick it up when I wasn’t even the one ordering the food!! I would totally understand if I actually ordered the food but I didn’t and I tried to tell them and they weren’t understanding thee situation so I will update if they take action for this mistake that could have easily been sorted if they listened!!

Had our first takeaway from Spice Regency,all we can say is SIMPLY THE BEST,tried other well known Indian Takeaways and NOTHING compares too the Spice Regency,everything from service,quality and Flavours are a TASTE SENSATION.Thank you so much SPICE REGENCY.

Great Indian takeaway decent portions and order ready on time. It is fairly close if you are staying at Centerparcs.

This is our preferred choice of local Indian takeaway, the food is always satisfactory. There is a great choice of dishes available on the menu.

We were slightly concerned about ordering food here because of some of the poor reviews. Glad we went ahead because it was delicious. Couldn't find fault with anything.

We just had a takeaway from Spice Regency after almost not ordering because of some of the reviews on here, we do not understand them because the meal we have just had was absolutely delicious, could not fault it, we collected and the staff were lovely too and we will certainly order again

Absolutely poor organisation! Told me a 40 minute wait and then I arrived at the 40 minute mark and then after 15 minutes got told my order would still be another 10 minutes! No apology from any staff member and completely unacceptable!

It was late and cold and not nice at all

New to area thought we would try the food here as good reviews. Lovely take away meal, only reason it's not 5* was because they got our order wrong and we didn't have time to go back, and the lamb dish they gave us (should have been chicken madras) was extremely salty.

Ordered chicken tika and got lamb, I ordered chick tika madras’s and I got lamb and the madras was tasteless. Popadoms we could bend and the fries was cold and all 2 hours late. Waste of time calling to sort out as they did nothing. Over £50 and all went in the bin. Avoid Avoid Avoid

From calling to place our order, collecting the takeaway to eating the food, this was a very good experience. Polite staff, food prepared and ready for collection at the time stated, very tasty and piping hot food. We had Tandoori Mixed Grill and Chicken Tikka Madras, Rice and Nan, food was amazing 😀👏

Ordered ay 18:30 arrived at 20:30.......Rang a few times to be told its coming. I only live 3 miles away, Never again, Food cold and now in foil so you cannot simply reheat in the microwave .When I rang to complain I was ringing for over 10 mins to get answer. The response was not really that bothered. ... avoid avoid avoid avoid and never get food from them ever. Shame really because they use to be good !!!! Waste of money as mine went in the bin !!

I was impressed by how quickly spice regency was able to prepare our meal on a busy Saturday night. We ordered our food 40 minutes before I went to pick it up, and upon arrival at the shop, I only had to wait 5 minutes for the food to come out. When I got our meal home, everything was nicely labelled, which made it easy to serve out. The food itself was very nice, and the portion sizes were good. I think we will likely use this curry house again in the future.

Stayed at nearby Center Parcs but heard the on-site Indian restaurant wasn’t great so looked on Google Maps and spotted this place. It was a short drive. Takeaway itself is small and you can’t see the kitchen, but the food was excellent and the guy on the desk was really friendly. Not that that matters but I left with a positive impression.

A decent curry at a very reasonable price. Would go again.

Decided to have takeaway spice regency was recommended however the food was awful , all we could taste was salt salt and more salt the chicken was brown when cut , the nam bread was rock hard needless to say we will not be returning.

Love the chicken tikka masala and the butter chicken. Keep up the good work guys!

The meal was first class .Would defo recommend this place 👌. The food was piping hot and very tasty . We travelled from Shirwbrook to collect and was still hot when we got home .

3rd time ordering take away and 3rd time extremely happy. Great food that is well cooked and tasty with excellent portion sizes. Customer service is fantastic and delivery has always arrived at the time they said. Our new favourite take away.

So far, I have had 3 preordered delicious meals delivered for which I have phoned in my payment. The service has been good and the delivery prompt. I have tried to create my own vegetable Thalis of 3 different dishes and have tried a number of vegetarian dishes, all of which I have enjoyed. I have reined in my choices as the side dishes are quite substantial if you have a starter, chutneys and Nan, as I first did. There are still a number of dishes to try though Saag Paneer is definitely my favourite so far.

I've had several curries from here and always been perfect. The last 1 was the best curry I've had. 100% recommended!!

The chips and the Tandoori mixed grill was cold and the naan bread was very small .

I have now pre-ordered delicious meals 3 times . All my orders have been from the veggie &vegan menu. The choice has been good and I have enjoyed the dishes. The website is easy to access and navigate. I have pre-ordered online, paid by phone and had my orders delivered promptly. I have created my own vegetarian Thalis and each time I have had a different combination. My favourites are Saag Paneer, Saag Bhaji and Brinjal Bhaji, though there are other dishes still to try.

Used this takeaway whilst on holiday at Sherwood pines, food was very tasty, good menu and new dishes I haven’t tried before (keema rice and special mixed balti) nice to be able to buy small portions of the sauce for dipping naans in (although the naans weren’t great is the only criticism), Will visit again next time we’re staying at pines 👍🏻

Mixed bag really, curry was great. Chips lovely taste but very soggy and so was the naan bread. Late with the pick up order even though pre ordered 2 hrs before.

First take away last night did not disappoint, only issue which was a fault of my own (baby brain.. I ordered a large pickle tray and forgot to order poppadoms lol!! The chilli panneer and hotmeat starters are highly recommended!!

This was meant to be a generous portion of food £14 for 2 cubes of chicken a burned shrivelled lamb kofta and 2 prawns . The curry come cold . Never again

We were staying in a cabin at Forest Holidays in Sheerwood Forest. This was one of the best Indian meals I've ever had. Really good and delivered directly to the cabin. Highly recommended.

Really nice food. We had a lamb biryani and chicken tikka rogan. Both really good flavour. Easy to order via website online and went to collect - only a short drive from Forest Holidays wood cabins where we were staying. Takeaway reception looked nice a clean and the young man who greeted us was really pleasant.

Great customer service from the guy on the front desk. Food was lovely. Good value. Raita best ever had, special rice perfect, chicken Mircha hot korma was fabulous. Onion Bhaji, butter tikka masala and Pathia all lovely. French fries cooked nicely.

Again another delicious Indian, food hot fresh and full of flavour also large portions delivery driver very friendly and polite also shop staff friendly and polite would not go anywhere else now.

The so called manager awrve us for our takeaway collection although he then continued to do deliveries so doubt he was the real manager. We paid then realised could have had 25% off being new customers when we questioned he would not r3fumd the difference and was extremely rude saying why would we help you save money...absolutely shocking and very arogant and rude. Food nice bit price and service awful..over charged us by 10 pound as well asnot giving the new customer discount.

Had a good few curries from here, and all have been exceptional, tasty curries, great naan breads, nothing bad to say, its refreshing to have quality food all the time, delivery top.notch too. I recommend you to try if you haven't yet.

Best tasting Indian takeaway in our area and the most reliable. They come at the predicted time or before and the food is always hot.

Firstly, the driver that delivered was very honest. Accidentally I overpaid which he instantly pointed out,so nice to see there are some genuine people out there. Our order arrived well within the time stated. We received everything we ordered and it was amazing. Tasty, fresh with just the right amount of spice. Obviously cooked with a lot of care and skill. We will definitely be ordering again and we would highly recommend Regency Spice.

Ordered some food tonight absolutely amazing I've never been a big fan of Indian food but my god we travel from meden vale to clipstone and its well worth it so many flavours not to sweet or sickly wish I took a photo of before and after of our plates completely demolished definitely coming back friendly staff and very reasonably priced thank you

Guy on front desk was polite and welcoming food was 15 to 20 mins guy brought it out to car and we had 15 mins drive back to camp site food was then left until we put sides on awning still piping hot full of flavours popadoms were fresh and crispy wife loved hers always a winner keeping her happy 1st time using a very nice take away would definitely recommend

Usually order from here and haven’t had a bad takeaway yet, just had the Chicken Garlic Chilli and it was brilliant. Ask the people who take calls are helpful and service is always good, (25 minutes tonight for delivery) definitely recommend.

We spent £50 on a meal to share with my partner and mother in law. I went to collect it and I was amazed that I saved £5 just because I collected it. Got the meal home and I was missing a chicken pakora. Rang them up, it was here in 5 minutes. The food was hot, tasty and full of flavour. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The staff we helpful, polite and professional.-
