Brilliant restaurant and also takeaway, the food is amazing and they will adjust heat levels to each dish to however spicy is good. Massive portions and the best thing though is it isn’t greasy or heavy

We go there regularly. Rashid is a great cook and Ali is a great organiser of the restaurant. The quality of the meals is outstanding. If you like prawns with a kick, try the ' Gingra Sassoon" Outstanding!!

We order takeaway from here every couple of weeks because nothing in the Bramhall or surrounding areas compares. We find the online ordering system very easy to use. Would 100% recommend to anyone local.

Came for new years eve meal with my partner. Food was absolutely amazing , meat was so tender full of flavour. 10/10 service will definitely be returning. Highly recommend.

I walked in to order a takeout. Place was super busy with sit downs and with one waiter looking a little stressed. He asked what I wanted, then immediately went back to put menus on a table before returning to write down my order. When it came to pay, I tapped contactless but turned out the payment machine wasn’t working (due to internet connectivity). I was asked if I had cash - I said I didn’t. The waiter said he was very busy as though that was my fault. He kept asking if I had cash. In the end I left after cancelling my order. He didn’t seem bothered and I got no apology. Not a great service. Not sure how the rest of the sit-in restaurants customers were going to pay later on with no working card machine!

A real favourite of mine when I am in the Bramhall area. Very affordable prices and excellent food. It's basic inside but you can bring your own booze which helps to keep costs down - there is a CoOp store next door with a good selection of drink. Strongly recommended.

This place is great - both for dining in and takeaway -+great food and all piping hot and what we expected for each dish. Lovely staff too - will become more of a regular from here on in - recommend the fish pakora and the targa dhal!

Food is fantastic and the staff are great. We go as a family and always have a fantastic time, especially as it’s a BYO. My personal favourites are the spicy liver starter and the afgani boti kebab main course. But there again I’ve tried many items from the menu over the years and they’ve all been really good. Highly recommended.

My husband ,myself ,family & friends have been regular diners at The Spice Room on Dairyground Bramhall for many years .It is so amazingly consistent regarding high quality ,delicious food and excellent service.High level of hygiene too.The staff are very polite,friendly professional & if asked will suggest a different dish to try. Last night 3 of us dined & we had a fantastic meal - onion bargees ,lamb chops to start followed by chicken tikka masala ,lamb& chicken sizzler with pilau rice & garlic naan.An amazing meal and good value for money- we wouldn’t go anywhere else for an Indian meal in the Bramhall area .

Excellent food the bhaji are amazing. Have an early bird special aswell for under 15quid some evenings so great value. Staff friendly aswell and always sort you out a great curry. Bring your own alcohol with a coop next door aswell. Top place!!

Nothing wrong with the food but the concept wasn’t as you’d expect… went to pay the bill for a party of friends and guess what the card machine inky works intermittently and could I go to the cash point at the coop next door… erm no so ok but if I paid on their card machine there would be a service charge… for a switch card… sorry but no… won’t rush back food was ok but tax free living… nice work if you can get it but… it’s not the way we live

My wife and I dined in the Spice Room over the weekend. I had heard good things about the restaurant from a neighbour. Unfortunately it in no way lived up to its expectations! That had to be one of the most disappointing curries I’ve ever had in my life! The taste in our dishes was VERY bland and nothing seemed fresh. Nothing. It reminded me of a cheap take away curry from the 1980s! I imagine they still give out those trays with salad with their takeaways! Honestly, very disappointed with the taste. There are many more better tasting options for Indian food in the area. As for the restaurant itself, the ambience was okay although a little dingy and dark feeling. The outside of the building was grubby and stained though. It wouldn’t take much to keep on top of that. The server asked for us to pay with cash which I found strange but thankfully there was a cash machine just outside. I don’t make a habit of leaving negative reviews but I can’t recommend this one to anybody.

Fantastic food ..... service when collecting really good ... they understand the words customer service even during covid and follow covid distancing etc really well Food is very nice and would now following two visits keep using Would certainly recommend

Sometimes when you eat good food, you think about it so much that it appears in your dreams. This was the case for me and your lamb chops, which you can order as a starter. They are EXCELLENT. The naan appears in my dreams sometimes too, but not as frequently as these delicious lamb chops. I could eat maybe twenty of them. The starter comes with 3 pcs - i recommend ordering so that your party have at least two, otherwise you will be fighting to the death over these. The slightly more expensive (still very cheap) mixed starter is also very good. I am already hallucinating about eating the lamb chops again. THANK YOU.

Last week I received a menu through the door so I thought I would try a spice room takeaway on Saturday eve. I ordered the spicy liver. Brinjal bhaji. Jingra Sarsoon and Khasi Ko Bhutuwa with lamb. All was very tasty and I would be tempted to order from you again apart from one fundamental issue. All dishes were excessively swimming in oil. The main dishes in particular. So much so that when though i drained the majority of oil off dishes that each bite, onions. Peppers, lamb etc...were still oozing and saturated in oil, which made for an unpleasant experience. I do not usually complain but in this instance I thought I would let you know of my experience. I felt that yet another £30 has been thrown away! Spice room owners; please respond if you would be so kind, thanks.

Just enjoyed a January 21 takeaway- spicy liver, mixed starter, jalfrezi, bhuna, rice and naan - and it was fabulous. We both enjoyed the meal SO much - thank you to all the staff. Love the set up for order and collect as well, simple, Covid-19 friendly , on time and freshly made. Love the food. Best in Bramhall.

Absolutely beautiful food, brilliant service and nice atmosphere. Felt very secure with the Covid-19 measures they had in place. Warm welcome received and the ‘eat out to help out’ scheme was an added bonus. Can’t remember having a more tasty curry ever. Would definitely return.

Well, after imposed lockdown, the restaurant is back open. Before I get onto the food, as far as Covid-19 safety is concerned, having written a risk assessment for my employer, they are doing a sterling job making sure cleanliness is front and centre of all that they do. Table spacing, cleanliness of tables, as well as availability of hand sanitiser is all being dealt with in line with government guidelines. Staff have clearly been trained in respect of Covid-19 with handling of food, cutlery and crockery being kept to a minimum. All staff are masked / utilising PPE. We felt the environment was both welcoming, as usual, but vitally SAFE with reference to the current pandemic. So, the food was excellent, Prawn Puri followed by chicken tikka jalfreize. Great portions served with their usual understated style. A great place to visit and treat yourself ...... Also, bring your own alcohol (the Co-op is next door) or soft drinks available if required. We will be back next week, if we can get in !!!!

The food and service at the Spice Room is always excellent. We've eaten here many time, and had several takeaway meals over the last few months. We look forward to returning to the restaurant very soon. Both the restaurant and takeaway menus are very good value for money, and it's also BYO which is great.

Been here a few times. It’s tucked away unfortunately so doesn’t often get that busy but it’s worth visiting if you can be bothered to look. Delicious food, does a special offer on 3 courses before 7 pm. Also I find it very cosy, and welcoming staff on hand. Need to bring your own alcohol but you can buy from the neighbouring supermarket

We have been to this popular restaurant a number of times. Friendly staff, bring your own beer/wine. The food is excellent , onion bajiis and veg somosas to die for. Crisp, hot, great flavour, freshly made. Miles away from some of the drab offerings we have had at other indian restaurants. Sizzling tandoori chicken, beautifully cooked. We had an excellent prawn dish also. Too much for us they bagged up what we had left .Anither meal to come. Great stuff.

Nice little restaurant with a good menu catering for all tastes and choices. Good range of vegetarian and piscatarian food. Great value early bird menu. No alcohol available on site but you can bring your own and they do not charge corkage. Highly recommended

The food was excellent as always but took a long time to come. The soft drinks didn’t arrive both times we ordered them and had to remind the waiters. I appreciate it was father’s day but a long night with children on a school night

Excellent food once again and you take your own alcohol which is always a bonus. Only criticism is that it does get hot.

The staff squeezed us in at short notice on a Saturday night. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff and was very impressed with the quality of the food. 4 adults and 2 children ate and dinner was reasonably priced. Would highly recommend

What a superb meal 6 of us enjoyed on our visit from Spain .Taken by our family we were very impressed with the excellent food super friendly staff and the great ambience of this place. The restaurant is not licenced but on the up side there is a good well priced co op next door where we bought an excellent chardonnay and 2 for 1 peronis fabulous selection in a well stocked display fridge.The place was buzzing on an early evening and its wise to reserve your table at the weekend.Shared starters are a speciality as are the great tandoori dishes.None of us could fault the food taste or presentation at The Spice room We had travelled from Alicante on a short family visit and we will certainly return when we visit the UK again Excellent !!

Lovely food. They struggle to understand that we want to continue eating poppadoms with our meal. But they are lovely. If recommend them. They don't hurry you either. Bring your own booze.

This place is just amazing. The food is delicious and unlike bombay to mumbai stuff for the kids. Freindly staff and if your not into curry you can some english classics like fish fingers.

The place is perfect for everyone. First of all, as you would except, they do lovely curries for a reasonable price. Also you can bring any drinks you like there; you don't have to pay for them. Also, if curry isn't your thing, you can have some brilliant English classics.

The best in the area in our opinion. The food is great and as you can take your own alcohol it is excellent value too.

All the usual Indian dishes are here and all cooked with care. There's nothing unusual about it but the quality is good and the staff friendly and the veggie choice good

Lovely place, spotless, friendly, great food, BYO, we get takeaways and have eaten in and every time it is super. We had the sunday afternoon deal and what value that was tremendous. Almost don't want to advertise this place to make it too busy.

Not enjoyable waiting for over 2 hrs for meal to be served after booking an early table with hungry 3 and 5 yr olds. When it did arrive it was cold. It was as if the food was cooked but left in the kitchen until we enquired how long it would be. Not particularly busy just complete chaos. Will not be going again.

Having recently moved back to the area it's a constant delight to go here and it be full every time - I remember the days when it just used to be a few regulars - now though all has changed.Great food, attentive Staff and the midweek and Sunday deal seriously can't be beaten. Don't forget to take your own beer or wine (if that's your thing) and you'll be all set for a great meal and night out.

We've had a few takeaways from the Spice Room and they are always excellent. We buy a bottle of wine from the Coop nearby and have a glass or two while we wait for the food to be freshly prepared. All of the food is good, but the prawn puri is one of the best I have had anywhere. It comes with the mixed starter, which is all excellent. Every bit of the starter is really tasty, and beautifully prepared. One time we were there, there had been some plumbing and building work going on in the kitchen. The two people who had been doing the work came and sat with us whilst we were waiting for our meal - they were also waiting for their takeaway to take home - quite a recommendation from people who have seen all sides of the restaurant? All the staff we have met are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, and we have not found fault with any dish, and we've now had quite a selection. Well worth trying - we've never been disappointed.

We ate here early doors, before going to a party on Friday night. The staff are super friendly.You take your own alcohol, which you can buy from the coop next door.We chose poppadums and chutneys to start.3 X chicken tikka and boiled rice for mains and 1 x chicken madras plus two chapatjis.The food at this restaurant is consistently good. The tikka is flavoursome and juicy.Highly recommended!

Lovely Indian restaurant tucked away in the middle of an estate serving fantastic traditional Indian food - they dont serve alcohol but there Is a small co-op next door where you can purchase and take with you - no corkage charge. The good is so fresh and tasty and the staff are very helpful - altering the spices to suit you taste. Been back twice and love love love the food. Highly recommend

Friday evening booked a table for 7.30 The table was there but after ordering we waited 1hr 30min fir service. By way of apology we were given an extra bowl of boiled rice. Tandoori Chicken leg was raw in the middle - was sent back to the kitchen where one chef was cooking. Did not leave a tip.

Great food at a great price. Three courses just over £10 adults just over £6 kids at weekends take your own beer or wine. The only thing you have to buy other than food is kids soft drinks A+

There has been an Indian restaurant in this location for donkey's years, but this was our first time at Spice Room--eating Indian our last night with family is a tradition. We were delighted with the changes. Very good food, huge menu and plenty of help choosing from our server. Everyone liked everything and there was plenty to try. Hope they stay as we would definitely go again.

Excellent service, staff are friendly, and make you feel comfortable. Food is lovely, I wasnt a big curry fan before, but spice room has official convinced me! 'Bring your own drink' is also a bonus as you can take whatever you want to compliment the meal and also not have to spend money on an overpriced drink, like many other restaraunts do. Overall, Spice room is tasty and the best curry place to go in Bramhall.

We had a lovely meal. The staff were attentive and helpful as usual and the food was very nice. Everything was very good as it has been on previous visits. Reasonably priced. I like that we take our own alcohol so you are not "ripped off" as in other restaurants.I was very surprised to read that the Hygiene Rating was only 1!We had no ill effects.

We have been to the Spice Room a few times and enjoyed the food but having had a look at their local authority hygiene ratings will wait till they improve before revisiting

Booked for 6 people for Christmas Day. 3 were having traditional, 3 were having Indian. It made a relaxing treat to wander round to this restaurant. No food preparation, no washing up! The Indian food was lovely. The traditional turkey dinner was "ok".....although to be fair we were given a take out box of turkey for our cats! Take your own alcohol as it is not licensed. Extremely reasonably priced for Christmas Day

Went on my way home from work last week for a takeaway, went in nobody there to great you. waited at the bar for a minute for the waiter to appear and totally ignore me because somebody he new walked in.

Had a excellent meal at this restaurant. I was greeted by a lovey small, bearded man who was very welcoming. The food was of the highest standard, couldn't recommend this place enough. ... but if it doesn't take your fancy, there's a Chinese next door.

Was looking forward to my takeaway from here as previous meals had been excellent . Ordered for four and took the food home . First off the Pompadoms were either stale or not cooked enough , no crunch and you could see the uncooked parts straight away. The naan was really doughy and thick .The main courses were good and enjoyable .
