Great Indian Restaurant in Billingshurst. Great atmosphere in an old village building full of character. The food is good from an extensive menu. All dishes are labelled with allergy advice. Highly recommended

This has now become our favourite local takeaway. Food is wonderful, amazing flavours with a healthy kick of spice. A lot hotter than other curry houses in the area but it compliments the flavours wonderfully. Friendly staff and management, easy parking and great atmosphere inside. Highly recommended.

This was the first time we’ve been to the Blue India, it was the BEST Indian food we’ve ever had, the atmosphere & staff was exceptional, will definitely be going back, also was able to take my left overs back home !!!

If you like sugar then it’s the place for you, korma and tikka masala tasted like a dessert was too sweet.

The food is usually good but the last couple of times we’ve been it’s not been up to standard and definitely the service. It took ages for our drinks and especially the food. Everyone had to wait ages for food and we had to keep asking for drinks as the staff were not available. The phone was ringing constantly for takeaways and people who were seated were given a poor quality of service.

I came into the restaurant for my friends 19th birthday. The atmosphere was great, warm cosy and comfortable. The food was delectable, best I’ve had in a while. The staff were fantastic, very kind and helpful. I truly recommend!

Nice Indian restaurant with a good selection of dishes available. The food was delicious and hot. Drinks were very expensive but most restaurants tend to overcharge. Glad we experienced this charming restaurant. Would definitely recommend.

We took an American friend here for a proper curry experience and it couldn’t have been better. First of all the atmosphere is lovely, very cosy on a cold winter night. Then the servers are all great, very friendly and helpful, even down to the young Bangladeshi guy who cleared the table (doing his Masters in E London, lovely fella). And the food? Absolutely top notch. Each dish was excellent. An all round great evening out.

So we use Blue India weekly and we think the food is excellent. However, for the last five weeks consecutively the take away order has been wrong. Either a dish or two missing or someone else's order. It's seems a bit chaotic as the food is lovely. Please get organised!!

I went with family for an early birthday meal. We arrived for 6.15pm and as soon as all were present ordered drinks and poppadums. The latter arrived after a little while but the drinks took some time and an Irish coffee around 40 minutes. After 7pm our food order was taken which started arriving from 7.45 - 8.00pm. We eventually left at 9.00pm. The whole process took much of the evening and was very slow. It is understood that management has changed including the chef it seems as the food wasn't up to the standard of many years. As for the desserts there are now hardly any offered although we were informed a new menu is coming soon. Overall none of us were impressed and we won't be returning to this restaurant anytime soon.

Very slow disorganised service, Meals when they eventually arrived were well presented but meat quite tough. 1 round of drinks, poppadoms and a main course took 3 hours.

Went here last night with friends had a great meal. Service was wonderful lovely staff my daughter has severe allergies so it is sometimes hard to find the suitable food for her to eat the waiter was great told us what would be ok.. he recommended the best dish for her and it was delicious he even came to check she was ok with it. Only a minute away from where I live and I cant bring myself to try any other of the curry restaurants nearby because these guys are so good. I am always so happy after ordering with them and if there are any issues they’re always so quick and helpful to revolve (nothing major). Staff are friendly, helpful and always provide a nice atmosphere. I’m always trying to sneak a meal from these guys at any given opportunity whether that’s a birthday meal, work dinner or just a cheeky takeaway. Not to forget that their food is top tier

We ordered a Take away here yesterday which my husband ordered online! I picked up on route home & I picked up takeaway menu . Whilst waiting for food, I noticed it CLEARLY shows Phone number, Followed by email address & under neath 10% off all takeaway’s off when you spend £20 . I queried this & asked if they had taken off the 10% from the bill having spent £30+ . Manager came out & advised this was only applicable on telephone orders. I again queried as No Where does it say this. But clearly states 10% off all pick up orders. Advised that they would not be getting my business again & have notified Trading Standards for misrepresentation. Oh & popadoms are the smallest I have ever seen

This was my first time ordering take out. They will never get our business again. Their food was decent, however, we do not like their misleading business practices. I submitted and paid for a £33 online order. My wife stopped in to pick it up. While waiting for the order, she noticed on the front of the take away menu it states "10% OFF on order over £20.00 (collection only)". My wife asked to receive the discount and they said no because it is for telephone orders only. There is nothing on the menu that says that. Even after she spoke to a manager, they still refused to honor what they had advertised. In addition to no longer receiving any more future business from us, we will be reporting them to Trading Standards.

Fantastic Takeaway. Delicious food best in village

Up there in top 10 curry houses that I’ve been to in the UK. Had the Railway Lamb which was amazing, have also tried various house and classic curries which have always been spot on.

Went here with the in-laws the other week and was very impressed. The flavour of each dish we had was fantastic! We had the lamb biryani, railway lamb, chicken chaat, garlic naan and a special that I can'r remember the name of. Highly recommend, will definitely return :)

Good food, great service and good pricing, especially for pickup - one minor issue was when we got home we realised we didn’t have some of the order, a quick dash down and it was prepared in minutes - small issue but quickly resolved

I had the food first in this restaurant. I asked for mineral water but they didn’t had it. So they offered me tap water. It was so dirty I didn’t realise it and took a sip from it. When I told the manager that the water you served was dirty and undrinkable. He said go complain where the water is coming. He was rude and kept on arguing with me on that point where I had to leave. Worst experience I ever had.

Our party had booked early on a Sunday evening and we waited ages to be asked for drinks and when we finally ordered the drinks it took ages for them to arrive and only a few other tables in so not overwhelmed but seemed the telephone took priority and was very busy. We were asked if we were ready to order but as none of us were offered a menu this again caused a delay and the very nervous sweat girl took our order and we sat and waited for the starters but when ordering drinks to the resident staff he totally forgot it all and it was down to the takeaway delivery staff to rally around and sort out drinks and help deliver the food and they literally saved the evening from being a total disaster. The food was brilliant and very enjoyable and full of flavour but organisation that evening was a headless chicken act, waiters walking past finished tables empty handed and clueless when it came to customer service. The background music was pop classics which was a first for me as it is normally tranquil Indian music but it was different. The takeaway side seems to be priority which is a shame as it should be an even balance and thanks girls and delivery ladies again you bailed them out of the brown stuff

Had a family takeaway for 3 that cost nigh on £60. One starter being an Onion Bhaji came with no mint/yoghurt sauce or salad as is normal. The Biryani tasted different and was supplied with a trickle of sauce with vegetables despite putting something in the notes requesting a madras sauce. Rest of the meal was ok. Use this place a lot but maybe time to give one of the others a go. Not the usual standard I would say. Delivery was as advised at around an hour.

Such a crying shame! Moved into Billingshurst July 22 & have been going here regularly since, we’ve used the one with our friends in Crawley for years too! Was always good. However the last two months (we didn’t throw in the towel straight away!) It’s really gone downhill, we was aware of new faces/management etc. but Alas the food & service really has declined. So tonight was hoping, I just ordered a simple madras, it was nothing like? Imagine a pretty tasteless watery dhansak with no lentils, that was it, almost tomato based colour & flavour all so wrong? So after my starter, the waitress actually took my dirty cutlery off my starter plate and put it back on the table cloth! So my wife finished hers and she put both sets on her plate to see what happened? So they then left the starter plate with both lots of used cutlery on our table and then served our mains! Yes you guessed it, we had to ask for clean cutlery! Really disappointing food and quality of service unfortunately dying, hey ho that was our last go. Such a shame! Oh ps, overcharged is to for large bottled cobra when ordered small & said that’s all we had after just bringing opened without asking :-/ when I questioned he just shrugged 🤷‍♂️🤨🍛 😖☹️

After being let down by a pub on the same street, the staff at Blue india were so helpful. We were a party of 10 on Monday 10th April & we were greeted with a warm welcome. We ordered drinks and our food and all we can say is wow, a lovely Indian was had. It was busy with online orders and phone calls & we waited a little while for the food but it was well worth it. Keep up the fantastic work, and the warm welcome blue india thank you from the travellers from Wiltshire & Chester.

No no no the food was absolutely awful blandness no flavour just spice heat and the guy on the phone siad our meal would be 50mins well he was here in 10 which makes me think reheating differently 😕 for the money we paid was a absolute rip off the quality of food terrible 😢 the only dish had flavor was the poppadoms even the mint sauce u bland very disappointed 😞

I visited blue India on Friday night to collect my order, they had it all ready when I arrived and staff we all very polite, friendly and had a smile on there face. Exceptional service that you can't find at many other places nower days. Moreover the quality of the food continued to amaze me. I had the tandoori salmon dish which impressed me the most due it being excellent value for money and exceptional quality and taste, not to mention the generous portion size. I will be back soon !

The Blue India of Billingshurst is very amazing. The best part of it is the customer service. My food was delivered by James. He is very friendly, polite, happy and always has a smile on his face. The food arrived hot and it was really delicious.

We have eaten at Blue India a number of times and never been disappointed with the fantastic menu choices and quality of all the dishes. The staff are always great too with special mention to Bailey who knows everything about all of the dishes and I heard her giving excellent advice to other diners. She has apparently worked there for 4 years-and this is reflected in her knowledge. She is a great asset to this lovely restaurant, which is housed in a very old beamed building on historic Billingshurst high street. Highly recommended

We ordered from Blue India for delivery to our campsite. Food was piping hot. It was value for money and incredibly tasty. Will definitely order again.

Food was good, but unfortunately the service was slow and poor. After almost 90 minutes we had only been served drinks and poppadoms. Its a shame, as this used to be a good establishment, but if you go on a Saturday night, be prepared to wait. Unfortunately I doubt we'll be returning anytime soon.

me and my family decided to eat at blue india on Saturday we had a table booked for 7pm, when we arrived the staff were all attentive and welcoming they sat us at our table and took our drinks order which was brought out promptly, the drinks are fairly priced and very good. The food was amazing and the presentation really made it, especially with the sizzling Juliet, there is a lot of choice on the menu and all for vegetarians, the atmosphere is good and you can tell all the staff really enjoy their job! best curry house around will definitely be returning!!

Decided to give Blue India a try, as we live in Billingshurst, it's always had a bad name in the past, but I read they had new owners and things had improved, we booked a table for Friday night for 7.30 for myself and my husband. We were greeted by a young girl and taken to our table, we had poppadoms for our starter, they were OK, we ordered our main, it took at least 45mins to get to out table, despite the fact there were only 3 other people in there, a man on his own, and a man with what looked like his son, the food wasn't good, very salty, we had garlic chilli chicken, and rice, the rice had the texture that it had been previously frozen and re heated, the curry was extremely salty and not much flavour other than salt and chilli, we also had bombay potatoes, they were nothing special, all in all not a good meal, we asked for our bill, that came quick enough, then there was another 15mins wait for them to bring the card machine to us, there was nothing nice about our meal, we weren't asked is our meal OK, would we like anymore drinks, or a desert, we paid our bill and left, the plates and dishes were still on the table, we won't be going back.

Hands down the best curryhouse in Billingshurst area. Staff are friendly and outgoing only delivering only the best customer service. I have become a regular and still find myself excited for a Friday night curry, moreover the price is reasonable for such delicious food. Would highly reccomend!

I don't have any photos which is shame because the food looked just as amazing as it tasted! My partner and I have only recently moved to the area and a good curry is one of our indulgences so were keen to try it out - so glad we did. First of all the restaurant was incredibly clean and tidy. We were greated my Chloe as we came in who had a massive smile and made us feel so welcome. Talulah then came and took our order for food and double check we had everything correct (we ordered a lot... got to try a bit of everything!). Between Chloe, Talulah (I'm really sorry if I'm spelling that wrong by the way) and Bailey we had the most amazing service we've experienced at a restaurant. The food of course was absolutely amazing! The Sag Aloo is something to definitely write home about and the Mushroom Bahji was utterly incredible to name just a couple of dishes. For me though service is the most important thing at a restaurant, if you know the staff are looking after you then you know they're looking after everything else too and it was clear to us that we were being very looked after! We ordered a couple of extra beers (who has a curry without beer?) and Anthony came and told us that one wasn't as cold as they wanted it to be so he put it in the freezer for us for a little bit just to help cool it down - just another example of the excellent service! A special mention has to be given to Chloe - she was absolutely wonderful and took the time to have a little chat with us and made sure we had everything we needed. Genuinely one of the best restaurants we've been to let alone just for curry. If you're in the area and fancy a curry - you absolutely must check this place out! We will certainly be going back despite living locally and being able to pick up for a collection, dining in is definitely going to be our preference.

We’ve been coming to this Indian for very many years but it feels it’s gradually getting worse and I’m pretty sure today was our last visit. Very disappointing service, rice with no flavour not even a pinch of salt.. it has taken 40mins( 3 tables in) to bring out 2 pathetic starters. Very average too. So going from great to ok to don’t bother as there are better places to eat in the village we say thank you blue India and goodbye . Tried to rip us of with the bill at the end too, staff that’s young and can’t be bothered.

Sad to say we went here as it is our favourite local Indian takeaway, well that was until our last visit. There seems to be a lot of younger people working there who seem to spend a lot of time hanging out behind bar on their phones and chatting like it's a youth club. We have been here many many times before and I'm sorry to say this will be our last. The food is nowhere near the standards that it once was, it was bland and quite frankly unappealing. The restaurant was unusually quiet considering we were in there at 7 on a Saturday and it was completely empty only us. Me and my partner were given cold plates and when j questioned it the young lad told me that was because we had our son with us and they didn't want him to burn his hands, I understand this but why can't me and my partner get hot plates along with the bad food bad atmosphere and bad service this is one place that I will not be returning to.

Visited last evening with a family group of 15. We couldn't have been made more welcome and received excellent service and great food. Each course was served to all of us at same time, quite an achievement. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.
