Had a lovely Chicken Tandoori Madras from here last week. Perfectly cooked just the way I like it

Food was amazing, portions amazing…let’s just say I’ve found our Indian restaurant/take away going forward. We had the Naga chicken and prawn madras and both were …amazing!

I usually buy my Indian from here but won't be buying again. The well done chicken request was bouncy and undercooked. The tikka masala was bright red and tasted like tomato soup. The pilau rice was pink rather than multi coloured and tasted terrible. A complete waste of £40. I called up to co.plai. and was told sorry about that. No offer of replacement or refund. Worst food ever!!

Probably the worst Indian food I have ever had. Ordered on deliveroo, but when the food turned up it was absolutely awful. Not sure how they are getting away with their chicken tikka masala - it is nothing like it should be and extremely sweet! Absolutely horrible.

Lovely Indian takeaway food. The wraps and Naanwich meal deals are great, and the paneer tikka options are a good alternative if you don’t eat meat. You can order via website or app which makes it really easy and also offers loyalty points. 10/10 no hesitation to recommend. 🥘😋

Today (15 May) I ordered a takeaway dinner with a drink and when the delivery arrived, the drink was missing. I called Eastern to mention my drink didn't come and the man who answered gave an exasperated sigh (no apology) and said they can give me credit. I said I would like my drink please and he tried to convince me not to request it, saying it would take 30-40 minutes to arrive. I said in that case I would rather receive a refund. I received another exasperated sigh and was told that they would drop off the cash. I said I would rather have an electronic payment. He said he would call me back in 10-15 minutes and I said I would rather do it now. He then asked for my long card number. I said excuse me, why do you need my long card number if you are issuing a refund, surely you need my account number and sort code. I said the payment was made through PayPal anyway. He said he would call me back in 10-15 minutes again and by this point it was clear that I wasn't going to get my refund and he just wanted to get away, so I gave up on trying. Terribly rude service, acted like I was in the wrong and an inconvenience and possibly an attempt to steal more money from me? Be warned - I am never ordering from here again. I wonder if they don't add the drinks on purpose to get more money from people and hope that they just don't bother reporting it because it's £1.30...

Ordered chicken tikka wrap, it was sweet and with with no flavours. Feeling like puking after eating. So, if you like eating sweet chicken tikka, only then order it.

Worst food ever .. no where close to Indian food . We ordered paneer tikka masala and was shocked to see it , was full of red colour and very sweet . Chana masala was tasteless … when called to complain , they did not take any responsibility… Absolutely awful food .. I recommend others please don’t order from Eastern tandoori

Been trying to find a decent Indian around Horsham and this is hands down the best. The food is so tasty! We ordered a lamb tikka Briyani, chicken Baba 97, and a garlic naan. The Briyani and curry were both really good. The garlic naan was nice but was cold (the others were all still warm so unsure why the naan got cold). The only reason I didn’t give a 5* is because we ordered around 1850 and was supposed to be delivered at 2000 but it arrived around 2030. However it was a Saturday evening so understandable. The only other thing though was the website showed our order had been complete and delivered but we hadn’t received our food (we didn’t for another 10-15mins) so we got abit worried it was delivered to the wrong address. As we called the restaurant, the driver showed up and we were told it updates automatically on the phone- just a heads up for people ordering in. Will defo order again! Really really good food!

Normally I order to them when I like to order any Indian curry. I praised about their curry to my other friends aswell but this time they let me down. I ordered prawn Briyani which was full of turmeric smell and less salt. No taste at all.lamb curry was not as taste as it was before. Their customer service was not professional when I have given them feedback about my order. Definitely I will think twice for next time order.

I have been ordering from the eastern now for years. Fantastic food and i absolutely love the kancha which is there hottest curry. Best dish I've ever tried. Keep up the good work.

Had a great takeaway from Eastern Tandoori last night. Ordered through just eat but to be honest I'd go direct to them! Much more choice than on just eat. My wife had the veg jalfrezi which was packed full of veg and heat!! Very nice. Sag aloo was also delicious. My chicken dansak was good but not quite as spicy as I like. Definitely order again. And miles better than Horsham Tandoori (we've had undercooked food from them before!).

This is our favourite Indian restaurant! We have been going here for about a year. Never once’s had a problem.

What a shame, local to me, but food very non descriptive and loaded with salt, had 4 different dishes 3 tasted the same that being overriding salt flavour.

Always first class quality, they never let you down. Tried others but still go back after many years.

called to ask if I could change one of the set menu dishes slightly, was told was fine, but despite being happy to pay the 50p price difference, they insisted that it needs to be £1.75 more... don't get the logic?

This evening ordered from eastern tandoori. My madras had no flavour. There was no heat/spice to it. The texture and consistency looked curdled and seperated. A basic jar sauce from tesco would have trumped this meal. To be fair these guys are usually reliable and my go-to, but today the experience was awful. Time to try another restaurant.

I relocated to Horsham from the East Midlands in summer 2020. Since moving, I have eaten at 3 local establishments and eaten delivered takeaways from another. I popped in to Eastern last night, after reading their Sussex takeaway “award” in the window: I ordered my choice and collected it some 30 minutes later. I can’t remember how well I enjoyed the meal last night (had some beer), but I can write with authority how much I have enjoyed the reheated leftovers this lunch time; this takeaway was by far the tastiest I have eaten since moving to Horsham, on a par with my favourite Spondon (Derby) restaurant that I have previously reviewed.

Just had another excellent takeaway meal from Eastern Tandoori. We have been using them since they first opened and have never been disappointed. Their customer service isn't to be faulted - polite and helpful. Highly recommend..

Best curry in Horsham. Tried Eastern for the first time on Saturday. Our takeaway was really tasty , very good portion size & with no layer of nasty oil on top as you usually get. All the others in town don’t come close to this one at the moment & you can see the whole family are involved in the operation . Be back very soon

Enjoyed a delicious family takeaway from Eastern Tandoori. Speedy delivery, but most importantly each dish was spot on. The Lamb Tikka Naga is an absolute winner!

so we placed our order via the app at 6pm. Got an email at 6:05pm to say our order will be delivered around 7:20pm. Lovely. We spent approx £110 on food to be delivered for 4 adults and 4 children to celebrate a friends birthday. I quickly realised I had forgot to add poppadoms on to the order, so I called them and asked if they can add some in, given I had spent over £100 I didn't think this would be too much of a problem. Most Indian takeaways give you free poppadoms anyway when you order. So food came approx 7:40pm. There were some really lovely food, the butter chicken, garlic rice etc The chicken tikka massalla was quite strange. It was a very dark red, extremely sweet (more so than normal) but had a weird bitter aftertaste. So this didnt get eaten much. Came to look for the poppadoms and they had given us 3 poppadoms. How do you divide 3 by 8 People? I thought this was extremely tight of them. Considering they cost them pence to make. You would surely look at the fact that we had ordered over £100 worth of food that there would be a few people eating. So to summarise, don't order the CTM it isn't nice, but the rest of the food was nice. But to be honest I won't return to eat here and I will stick with my usual place. At least I know that if i were to spend that much again with my usual they would have given me more than just a few poppadoms as well as some other stuff most likely.

Ordered - Chicken Tikka Naga Biryani, some steamed rice, vegetable curry and cheese fries. The food was great and had all the right spices. The fries were a bit cold when they reached us but were tasty. Recommend this place if you wish to have a nice Indian meal.

I am baffled by some of the less than satisfactory reviews on here. I have been eating here for many years and the food varies from excellent to exquisite. I have never had anything negative to say about them - decent hard-working people who serve first-rate food. What more can you ask?

This place is my preferable site. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to this restaurant. everytime I want to go to a superb dinner, this place comes first to my mind. best and many types of food and a large menu.professional team, and agreeable mood. And very important, the expence is honest. I suggest this restaurant with no hesitation.

They do a really good chicken pathia which hits the spot. Medium hot with plenty of flavour. Portions are generous and service is good. Prices are reasonable. This is my favourite Horsham Indian takeaway.

Fantastic food. My partner and I are vegan and found it great having an Indian takeaway where the food is clearly marked vegan on the menu. The food arrived quicker than expected and was delicious. Always a great curry from Eastern Tandoori . The Bhuna , Madras and Karahi are our favourites with Lamb Tikka or King Prawn. Great value for money and always keeps us happy. Ordered online as I really didn’t want to go out this evening, and they offer free delivery. The ordering process was easy, and the prices were reasonable. The food arrived a good half an hour before the estimated delivery time which was excellent! However once it arrived, I was incredibly disappointed. The Pasanda was completely flavourless, as was the Peshwari Naan. The Onion Bhajis were okay, and fortunately they came with sauce which I used to add some taste to the curry. Based on this meal, I won’t order from here again. Very disappointing.

The food is here is absolutely lovely! The best dishes to get here which I recommend, is the Jal frezi as it has all the spices put in it and has an outstanding flavour to it! Highly recommend this place!

Ordered Makhani, a serving of Korma sauce turned up. Ordered Paratha asked are they stuffed ,replied they are but arrived unstuffed. Rang to complain but woman laughed and spoke in background mocking us. Very poor service and our friends ended up with no food

Worst take away we have ever had, almost 2 hours for delivery, cold food, wrong order. We gave up waiting and ordered from a more reputable take away wont be using this take away again.

Easy to order on app & delivery was on time. That was as good as it got, can’t say how disappointed we were. Chose this company as it seemed to rate well. Chicken tikka masala was not creamy or spicy at all, just tasted like a flavoured tomato sauce. Chicken korma was a flavourless orange coloured sauce, no nice creamy coconut flavours. Peshwari nam had no fruit or coconut in. Threw most of it away and wasted £27. Would not order from this company again as flavours were not to my liking.

My family and I have been ordering Indian food from here for over 10 years. It is honestly the best in town- we've tried all the other places in Horsham and no one else can make a better Korma/ Tikka/ Madras/ Naan... etc.. than here! Recently the prices have shot up which is a shame and seems to be a little bit greedy on behalf of the owners, but I'll let it slide as the food is great (also they got rid of £5 off when you collect!). The staff have always been friendly and as I've said the food is great- worth a try at least but I would not be surprised if you became a ten year devoted customer. By the way this isn't an eat in restaurant- it is only takeaway.

We regularly order takeaway (mostly on Friday nights) from Eastern Tandoori and always enjoy it. Quality is really good and food always tastes fresh. But the thing we like the most is it tastes like "real" Indian food not some processed Indian takeaway food. Highly recommend it.

AlWays have enjoyed Easterns meals and has never failed to deliver good quality taste. Good value for money and excellent efficient service. Easy to use App and swift delivery.

We are regulars at this place. They deliver to us nearly once a week. We rely on their service, value for money and their epic food! Please try the Railway Lamb and the King Prawn Danask! These are our favourites! We believe this is restaurant quality food at takeaway prices and we have never been wrong in our experience! Their App is so easy to use and you can pay on line, so no fumbling for cash on the doorstep! So easy and always a great experience. They obviously have a really good and reliable chef! I’m so tired by trying to find decent curry takeout in Horsham. there is no such a place! Today’s simple menu: Chicken madras- never had so tarty lemony/ vinegary perhaps, madras in my life. 1 out of 5 Rice- kinda ok 3 out of 5 Popodums- STINKS HORRIBLY Perhaps it was cooked last year, or in last years oil. Impossible to eat! -10 out of 10 Why do you treat your customers like this. If, only if I was eating in- I’d send back the outrageous food! Never again 😩

The food is great and they also accommodate special requests such as extra spicy. Their Chicken Tikka Dansak is amazing as well as their Sag Paneer.

I have always used Eastern Tandoori for an Indian take away. They have a large selection, and their service/delivery is always correct and prompt.

Having tried most curry houses in Horsham, eastern tandoori is by far the best. Only downside can sometimes be the slow delivery times during peak hours, but the food is worth the wait.

My partner and I were new to Horsham and both loved a good takeaway curry. We drove past Eastern one day and decided to give it a go and order a takeaway. The food is always really good the brilliant value for money. I recommend it to all my friends and none have been disappointed. Definitely give it a try!

I don’t want to rate this lowest star. Because the staff was polite and the food arrived in super quick time! (Almost too quick if I’m honest! 10 mins approx)... Masala sauce = pls see picture. It’s more like tomato sauce. Honestly. I think the chef could do with throwing in some of those spices for that reason you say to yourself “let’s order an Indian takeaway” where is the spice??? Are Horsham folk too shy for the spices? mmm?.. The chicken Tikka - standard. Gordon Ramsey would not be happy. Nor am I. Give the kitchen chef a waking up call. Lots of watery juice in the tin never makes me think “yes! I’m glad I ordered that” Dahl - think I ordered this by accident?... my wife didn’t recognise it either?... it was basically like a sauce. She thought it should have more substance. Naan Bread - look. I love my Naans. I loved my Nan too. But now they’re both dead to me. This naan was not bubbly fresh and crispy but soft. It was average. Not the worst. Not the best. By far. All in all. Try a few more places and let me know what place is better than this.

I had a take-away delivered from here last night. It took over an hour to be delivered. I had a Sheek Kebab which was stone cold, a Lamb Curry which was luke-warm, a cold, underdone Cheese Naan Bread, and 2 stale Popadoms. I've used this place many times over the years, and it's never been fantastic, but this was the worst ever. I'm now done with this place. I shall stick to Darchini in the future!

We always order online and now through the app. They've been consistently good and fast. Probably order more than we should! Great deals on Tues & Wed.

I have been used Eastern Tandori for about five years now. Excellent quality, not the best ive had but consistently good. Delivery is normaly about 30m to a hour, however if you are booking on a friday or Saturday night get in early or can be up to a 2 hour wait, but this is just a sign of a good quality restaurant!

Top Horsham place for food and with affordable prices

Ordered two curries and one rice at 7 was told an hour max wait, 8.15 I then rung and was told 3 minutes ,8.30 rung and told on the way, 8.40 rung and said driver was on phone as we speak ,door bell went and driver knew nothing mm make your own mind up. Best to collect your order .why couldn't they just be honest and say it's busy and were running behind would of gone done better then waiting .

I used to consider this the best Indian takeaway in Horsham but standards seem to have slipped. Just lately their lamb is tough and chewy and a veggie curry seems to consist of frozen mixed veg. Flavours still good though. Would still recommend though and they deliver.

we have used this takeaway for 23 years- and in that time it has always been very good; quick delivery, good standard of food , and family run -chicken shashlik /tarka dhall and garlic chillie chicken all excellent.And they will cook a dish not listed if you ask - give it a try - far better than some of the award winning - ha - indian takeaways.

Authentic Indian cuisine,excellent taste and fantastic service

Quick delivery and given free sag aloo. Sadly the dishes were all pretty flavourless except for salt...basically tasted like chicken in a salty sauce, no curry flavour at all. The dishes were all quite cool when they arrived. Quite disappointed and couldn't finish due to the saltiness! £20 not well spent.
