The best restaurants serving Indian food in Wakefield Yorkshire and The Humber

Saturday night solo dining wasn't a disappointment. A very busy restaurant with good 👍 helpful staff. Chicken Jalfrezi rice nan all fab. Nice selection on pickle tray too. Cash only or bank transfer . Don't take cards.

We used to come here almost every week, since Alis Lounge opened we have probably been here 30 times (if not more) and in the past 6 months it has been very hit or miss on the food and the service. We most recently came on Saturday and the food was not good, however we had come 2 weeks previous and it was lovely. Its a shame as this used to be our favourite indian but now we are reluctant to come as we dont know what we will get.

Been going to the Royal Spice over 20 years , firstly at Darton and now at Wakefield , can honestly say been elsewhere but nothing compares to the Royal Spice , take a bow guys 👏👏👏👏

Great food, I can particularly recommend the Shashlik, a huge amount beautiful chunks of chicken.

Absolutely terrible do not go here at all. We came on many different occasions from a different city , first time they didn’t have the dish we wanted even though it was only one in the afternoon, second time we even rang and said please save us two of these dishes and they still didn’t have it . Very disappointing

Only had takeaway but we regularly order from here as they’re the best curries in our area and we’ve tried quite a few, good portion size , fresh , hot and good quality chicken in there food.

Excellent food and customer service. The menu isn't extensive but adequate. Like eating quality restaurant food but at home.

Superb , meat karahi best I’ve ever had , sizzler starter for 2 was excellent, great food service & value , 5 stars……………..

Come here all the time for family meals. The best curries I’ve eaten here. Food is absolutely delicious every time we come, never disappointed. Yummy food always and good price.

On a quiet Thursday evening we enjoyed our Lamb Methi and Chicken Tikka Biryani. Great pickle tray and perfectly crisp poppadoms. Great food, good value for money. The restaurant is licensed. Cobra is available on draught and they make a good cup of tea too. Despite what one of the previous post says, there’s nothing wrong with the toilets.

Wow the food was to die for the restaurant was lively the staff are very well presented and polite I would recommend this place to anyone plenty of parking only 1 mins from the motorway

So I'm not one to really leave reviews but this is a must I asked for a chicken balti slightly hot it's came so hot I was crying trying to eat it. I returned to the shop with my food and I wanted a curry not so hot I've ate vindaloo and shall but this was something else so as I stood in the shop waiting for my next food to be prepared I pulled a hair from my mouth that was half way down my throat for the last 10 minutes of driving to the shop and it was 150mm long grey hair, it was Identical to the owners beard I no longer use this shop and will never do this will haunt me for the rest of my life

Excellent experience with even better staff, The food was amazing and we couldn't of asked for anything more.
