We had a beautiful meal on Sunday evening. We brought friends visiting from Canada, and we were all very impressed with the quality of the food, the friendly service, and the value for money of the Sunday special banquet. Can't believe how quiet it was - they deserve a lot more custom

We enjoyed everything we had ordered. It was fresh and flavourful and we would definitely recommend Ali’s Lounge for a delicious meal.

This is now our Go-to curry place, always consistently high quality and speedy delivery. Requested chicken karahi Asian style hot and they nailed it, was one of the best I’ve had.

The food was delicious,had several starters & curries& were all fabulous. The service was friendly & fast as usual. Give it a go,you won’t be disappointed

We've been coming back to ordering from Ali's Lounge since moving from Crofton years ago. The customer service has always been great, Mo was always an absolute joy and we do miss him. All the staff are genuinely lovely, the delivery drivers are always so polite and always on time. The food is so much better than what is available to us now locally! I do miss the saag paneer which isnt on the menu now, I used to ask for that with channa (chickpeas) and feel a bit healthier ordering it 😄 But the paneer masala is lovely. My husband always orders fish balti and I always have to pinch some as it's so nice too. So glad they deliver to Ackworth, we'd miss them a lot of they didn't. Much love to Mo's friends and family. He was a really good man and looked after us so much, inviting our children to his own family parties when it was Crofton Indian when they were small. Theyre both late teenagers now but still remember how fun it was! Definitely highly recommended. Really lovely people and great food, what more could you ask for ❤️ Thanks for looking after us, Ali's Lounge!

Arrived well packed & hot. Very tasty.

My 1st time trying this place & I'm really impressed. I agree with a previous reviewer, who warned that the jalfrezi is considerably spicier than anywhere else. It tastes amazing though & the veg all seemed fresh, rather than frozen.

We used to come here almost every week, since Alis Lounge opened we have probably been here 30 times (if not more) and in the past 6 months it has been very hit or miss on the food and the service. We most recently came on Saturday and the food was not good, however we had come 2 weeks previous and it was lovely. Its a shame as this used to be our favourite indian but now we are reluctant to come as we dont know what we will get.

Was over an hour late and still had items missing won’t be returning

Food was lovely (with the exception of the tinned mushrooms in the mushroom rice), but I shouldn't have had to chase up our order 30 mins after it was due. Communicate with your customers please.

I have ordered from here many times but no more tonight chicken tika masala was OK but the lamb jalfrasi was what can only be described as more like vindaloo and inedible went in the bin after choking on the heat of it a waste of 25 quid

Food was bland, mushy and oily. For example the chicken pakora was nice but had not been fried long enough so the batter was mush. I’m rating two stars as it could’ve just been a bad night and they were very nice on the phone concerning allergens

Shocking worst I’ve ever had late all split in bag king prawns still got tails on complained to restaurant and they said sorry extremely busy not good enough !!!!

I picked up my order on Saturday night and when i got home and started to dish up the meal we noticed an issue with the main. We phoned up the restaurant and explained the problem and that we were unable to eat it. Within 30 minutes we had a knock at our door as they had sent out a complete replacement order (not just the main) which was over and above what was expected. Highly recommend, food is great quality and the staff are very friendly and welcoming upon entering the restaurant.

Unfortunately on this occasion we both found our meal disappointing. The lamb in the korma was dry and fatty. The garlic nan was dry and was plain, I had ordered a garlic nan. The korma was very thin. Not a pleasant meal at all.

First time I've had a curry with banana in it! Absolutely delicious. Lamb Kashmiri, special rice and peshwari nan bread. I prefer things with flavour but not the heat so this was perfect, especially as I love bananas as well. Complements to the chef.

All I can say is this is the worst Indian restaurant I have ever been to. The floor (carpet) was dirty and full of food. The onion bhaji starter was cooked on the outside and raw in the middle. We ordered three different curries and had all the same paste colour taste in all of them. Definitely do not waste your money here!! We spent over £100 !!!!

Food and service is always second to none. Just quality at very reasonable prices. I've only put 4* for atmosphere as its usually early when we go so quiet. But on the odd occasion we've gone later and the place is busier the atmosphere is good.

We've knocked one star off the delivery time as our order was delayed twice but we were updated by the Just Eat app and they did deliver before the end of the third time slot. Food quality we've also knocked off a star as our order was lukewarm at best. However, not a major issue as we heated everything up, just a bit disappointing. Negatives over we have really enjoyed our food. The Tandoori Mixed Kebab and Onion Bhajis were excellent, we loved the flavours. We also really enjoyed the Chicken Tikka Saag Wala, the Nawabi Khana and Pilau Rice. Again, the flavours were excellent. The Ayaan Nan was also good and a nice change from our usual choice of a Garlic Nan.

Wow, this is the hidden gem of Wakefield, thuis has to be the best meal I have had in a long time, and what a warm welcome, nothing was to much bother, going the extra mile with my wife's vegans requests

Really lovely food, the only downfall was mint sauce was way too watered down so 4 stars given instead of 5. Hopefully after reading this review you won’t water it down as much or at all again… please don’t it let your food down. ☺️

Definitely the best Indian in the area. But what was fantastic, we ordered a collection but due to a car crash outside the restaurant we couldn't collect. We called the restaurant and they managed to send a driver quickly to us. Brilliant service and food

The lamb was a bit on the tough side and needs some sort of sauce with it but on the plus side the flavour is amazing and the yogurt sauce wasn't nice the best way to describe it is it curtains poping candy it was 2 fizzy I don't know if it's supposed to be like this but it was nasty

Most of our order went in the bin. Very greasy. Biryani sauce was tasteless and full of oil. Lamb tikka was tough as boots. Almost £35 down the drain

We had a lovely meal in Alis last night. Fantastic, flavoursome and plentiful food. Very friendly waiters , willing to help. My only criticism is the restaurant looks basic but it was very clean, clean toilets with toiletries available. The food and price more than makes up for the " cafe" look. I will go back next time Im in the area and would recommend.

A previous reviewer titled this ‘the best Indian in Wakefield’ which is a stretch if I’m being completely honest - however it is a decent place, and the few times I’ve ordered from here it’s been pretty consistent and decent. Jalfrezi was good, not great and the accompanying Nan breads, rice and onion bhajis were also good. I’m a bit of a curry connoisseur, and have been to most traditional Indian restaurants in Yorkshire, and this is up there with the ‘good but not great’ gang
