Food and staff are absolutely amazing here. We went out for a family meal with 2 children that are quite fussy with food. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. The staff litterally couldnt do enough for us. Highly recommended 👌

The food is always amazing and there is so much to choose from. I have something different every time and have never been disappointed. The meal deal is such good value. There are not many places where you can get 4 courses for less than £15 these days. Bring your own alcohol also saves on cost. The restaurant decor is lovely and the staff are always friendly and helpful.

Go here regularly for the buffet or meal deal offer. It used to be £11.95pp but has been increased now. Good menu options.

Service here is appalling...forgot about us...forgot mains so we we were waiting for things to be cooked whilst others food was getting cold...forgot sides had to wait again ..nann bread was rock hard and not fresh ..forgot glasses so had to ask after 20 mins for someone to bring some........1 and a half hours wait for mains when's it wasn't busy and then couldn't get it righ so had to wait longer...think it's time we started going other places for food.

This place has been in decline from when the mystery award posters was put up 10 years ago. I won't be using again but better around the corner.

The waiter that served us was so lovely made us feel really welcome, he made a great meal a great experience. We opted for 11.95 banquet excellent value! Poppadoms pickle tray, starter and any main with a side and ice cream tea or coffee afterwards.. we couldn't manage the ice cream we were stuffed.. but the whole meal was spot on.. definitely will be returning. FYI its cash only and byo booze.. there's a little shop next door that sells wines and beers.

Absolutely splendid service, catered for nearly 40 adults and received no complaints whatsoever. I was accompanied by some large appetites but the all were very happy with the food/service

We had a buffet in this restaurant and it was lovely. We tried differetn starters like onion and cauliflower bhajis, small salad bar, there was also lemon, and never-ending corriander yoghurt which was delicious! Also, there was chicken wings in nice spicy sauce with onions, lamb, beef and chicken kebabs, freshly made naans, chicken karahi curry, chicken badami and curry with lamb and spinach, 2 types of potatoes which were lush. Service was very friendly, attentive and helpful. Prices are amazing and variety of food is very nice. Also Their menu ala carte is huge with so many curry varieties that allows you to order something that will make your tastes buds happy. Some of the curries in menu i have not heard before! So every time you can order something different. There is also Thursday buffet as well as 5 course buffet and mega buffet on sunday to thursday as well.

The food is always amazing however we usually get take aways from Red Chilli and quite often it take a lot longer than expected and I usually have to call up to see where the food is. Quite often I feel like the order hasn't even been made. It's such a shame because we've always enjoyed the food.

We had a decent meal on the whole. I would say the onion bhajis are not as good as when Kamal worked here. The chicken sylheti was good but the portion size was not generous. Alarm bells rang when I went to pay and I was told they had stopped taking card payments!! I know cash is king but what sort of establishment doesn't take card these days? I ended up going to the cash machine down the road. For this reason I will not be returning.

£10.99 buffet, it was alright nothing special, it consisted of 3 curries and 2 rice's and a special. There was 3 starters wing, mixed kebab and onion bajis there was also naan bread. The selection for it being a buffet was lacking, id of liked more selection, bring your own beer so its not bad cause you save in that aspect. They was struggling to keep stocked up on the food available, nothing amazing just seemed standard. experience was Meh but not bad.

Amazing! The best prawn puri i've ever had. Followed by the best curry i've ever had! (Bone-in lamb curry, chefs recipe) i was sucking the marrow out the bones. Served up with a pillowy cheese and garlic nan. Met the lovely Chef abdul as well, who was very graceful. You have to eat here!

Have always raved about Red Chilli 2 but was disappointed last night. We went for the feast night but ended up leaving before ice cream/tea & coffee. The service was not great, they were more concerned with deliveries and the food was a bit of a let down. We were told kids feast was half adults price but it turned out to be £8 not £6, still a good deal but not good when you are told incorrect information. Seems the place has gone down hill a bit.

Having read the other reviews of Red Chilli 2 I can only ask if I actually dined in the same establishment. The attention from the staff was practically nonexistent and rushed, with little care given to our waiting times. We arrived at 8pm and waited close to 30 minutes to receive our first drinks order. We had to ask two or three times for most of the order to arrive, and when it did there were two or three of the same drink arriving. Having finally got our drinks, we then had to ask them for menus. We finally got our order taken just before 8.45. This was an experience in itself, with many of us having to correct the waiter as he repeated our order back to us in a very quick voice. When our food finally arrived around 9.20 many of us were waiting 10 minutes extra to receive our food while the rest of our party ate. Again, we had to chase up another drinks order. This was something we had to do routinely. When the main course arrived around 9.50, close to two hours since we arrived, the staff were shambolic. Quickly calling out orders in such a manner than people didn’t hear what was being said, only for the staff to take the dish away before anyone could reply. When my own food arrived, the rice was cold. I asked for it to be replaced, only for the staff to microwave the rice to the point it was too hot to eat and the dish too hot to touch. I know this was the case as the dish was covered in rice from when I had first tipped it onto my plate prior to sending it back. While the food was good, the staff were a disaster and I certainly wouldn’t recommend Red Chilli 2 to anyone on the basis of their service. It doesn’t take much to pay attention to a table, but for these staff, it clearly is.

i love this restaurant but am sad to say it wont be the same without the man that is abdul :~( the place will not be the same again for us

Took my step daughter there last night. We both had lovely meals. Staff are very helpful. I’d recommend the restaurant if you’re in town. Nip next door to Fernandes if you like. A good pint afterwards

Annual cricket club curry night buffet, was once again excellent. Tasty , fresh and hot food, and friendly service from all the staff. Couldn’t fault it.

Visit the Red Chilli every couple of months to meet up with friends. Always given a warm welcome by the staff and the food is amazing never disappointed.

Visited this restaurant Sunday evening.Choice of Buffet or Main Menu. We opted for the Buffet with lots of Tasty Dishes. On our return to Wakefield we will definitely be back. Great food,lovely staff couldn’t ask for more.

Had a beer or too and popped in for a curry. I had Chicken Tikka Bhuna Garlic, mixed rice ( peas and keema) with a garlic naan. Plenty of chicken and very good flavours, would recommend it to anyone.

We have been here a few times & it has been excellent. We moved away & have just visited again. Pleased to say it is still top notch. We had the buffet tonight & it was mouth watering, delicious It has been exceptional every time.The staff are lovely too.Try it.... you will love it

cant beat it recommend mixed starter and chicken karahi or narga takari. my mates and I regularly go for a curry in leeds n wakey and they said it was the best they had been to.

Good choice of starters, the onion bhajis and samosas were particularly good.Four tasty curries, chicken balti, saag aloo plus a lamb one and another chicken one the names of which escape me. My first visit here for at least 10 years. Will return.

We ordered a feast from Chilli 2. Our group consisted of vegans, veggies and meat eaters. All were catered for, with some delicious food. There is so much choice on the menu that you are really spoiled. The food was delivered on time and piping hot. I would highly recommend this as a great takeaway. Next time I'll be eating in the restaurant to see how that compares.

There take away menu is vast plenty to choose from, its so easy to order online, delivery is prompt and the food is pipping hot. One of the best curries I have eaten out of India.

Having been a satisfied customer for some 15 years my visit was nothing short of a car crash. Saturday night restaurant one third full so a quick feed and home was just the ticket. An hour later post poppadum no main meal so asked for my order to be packed to take home. Miraculously my order appeared in 2 minutes so I asked again to have that packed again. The manager I spoke to was frustrated about the kitchen turnaround and he said he's told them to be quicker. When paying the attitude of the staff member taking payment was disgraceful. No interest in listening to my complaint, passive aggression, patronising, no eye contact and staggeringly unprofessional. That chap may not give a jot that a 15 year customer will not re visit. He excuse was they were busy with takeaway and delivery. I can only assume that is the priority over and above the restaurant punter. My advice to anyone visiting the Red Chilli 2 is dont as your dining experience is secondary to the takeaway customer. Will never go to the restaurant again as at the very least I expect professional and courteous service.

Since first visiting Red Chilli nearly 4 years ago it very quickly became our favourite local curry house. Staff are always friendly and happy to discuss dishes and make recommendations based on previous choices. They do some really nice starters with the royal mixed kebab a particular favourite and the onion bahji is always amazing. The large garlic naan is always well loaded and nice and crispy and just about does 2 of us! The curries are different class especially the naga takari which is by far the best curry I have had anywhere. Prices are reasonable and it’s always a good atmosphere regardless of how full they are. Fantastic curry house!

Haven't been here for a while until this evening. I won't leave it as long before next visit. The meal was great. I wish I could eat it all over again.

Fantastic takeaway no different to eating in the restaurant. We ordered 4 dishes in total each one had outstanding flavours. Ordered through their website delivery time was average. Food was piping hot. We will definitely be ordering again,

I ordered a take away from Red Chili 2 this evening, normally they have been really nice, time keeping has never been great but the food has been great.When I ordered the food a handy count down clock started saying my food would be 60mins, this came and went around 1 hour 35 mins later my food arrived, the app said it was still cooking but hey at least it had arrived. I ordered a Chicken Tikka Makani.The food was not very warm whenI opened it I’m honestly not sure if it was chicken or turkey that had been cooked as it was so dry and stringy and quite hard to chew. In short it wasn’t nice, so to sum it up it took ages, it wasn’t warm and it wasn’t nice. I don’t think I will be going back.

Visited this restaurant with work colleagues for a Christmas get together. Was greeted immediately and served drinks, but that was where the service ended. Had to wait an hour for our starter, then a further hour for our mains (which was then wrong and one of our group had to wait longer as the rest of us tucked in). Food was nice but nothing spectacular. Called the day before and was told we could use meerkat meals, however, when we tried to use it, it was refused by the waiter who told us they no longer accepted it, despite it remaining in the app. Will not return and definitely don’t recommend!!!!!!

I've eaten here multiple times and never been disappointed, I pick things at random from the menu as I know I'll enjoy it no matter what, staff are always friendly wether getting take away or a sit down meal

Despite the restaurant being empty a party of seven was given a booth and a table for four pushed closer but not together. This made conversation with the whole party difficult. I fail to understand why we were not all seated at one table. After saying this the food was delicious. The only issue I had with the food was the butterfly prawns. The starter was nearly £5 and for this we got two prawns coated in a thick breadcrumb that resembled the orange crumb from a tube not even fresh breadcrumbs it was thick gloopy and frankly horrible. Everything else was great the staff were attentive maybe overly so at times but understandable as we were the only ones there. I would recommend this restaurant but definitely avoid the butterfly prawns. The little shots of sherry and baileys at the end of the meal was a nice touch. The new decor is great too but toilets could have done with a fresher smell.

We visited the Red Chilli as they were participating in the Meercat offer of two meals for one as we had two coupons to use, we rang to reserve a table and asked if we could use the two coupons and were told there would be no problem

Wow! Great food and excellent service. Best chicken Ceylon I've ever had! We will certainly return when we are back in Wakefield.

Very polite and we were greated on entry. The place is quite modern looking and pleasant inside despite looking a bit dated outside. This may change with all the council upgrades going on.

Amazing choice on menu with the usual indian favourites but also with a few other more unusual ones. Naan breads are to die for!

We have a lads reunion every few months and always seem to end up in here. The food is really tasty. Four of us ate here last time and had a good variety of dishes, everyone said that theirs was good. A few beers and too many popadums to do the food justice though. Next time just get one each !!

Still my favourite curry in Wakefield, just has the edge on other places. Best pickle tray and king prawn tikka I’ve come across.

We are frequent visitors here. We think it serves the best Indian food in town. Staff are always friendly and welcoming, the food always consistently great. Just love eating here. Looking forward to my next visit here.

There were four of us out for a few beers and something to eat. We dropped in here about 9.15pm and it was quiet. I always worry when a restaurant is not busy but we carried on anyway as it was raining outside.

Went midweek for sons 21st. Lovely meal. Food hot and cooked to liking. Rose wine definitely recommend. Bit disappointing only do the buffet on set nights but definitely recommend this place

Lovely welcome and absolute fantastic host. I personally don't like curry, but I had a mixed grill which was fabulous. I really enjoyed the night and all our friends did too. Really good food choices and tasty. Great beer too.

Had the chicken Achari. Very good size portion and up to the usual excellent standard. Was not very busy on the Sunday Evening I attended.

Visited Saturday night with friends, we have been many times and the food never disappoints. Service is excellent, the staff are so friendly, helpful and eager to please. The décor is lovely. Really can't fault the place.

If you want a nice curry delivered in a reasonable time give lalas a call, ordered a curry and was told my food would be with me within the hour, 3 hours later and I’m still waiting! Nice one red chilli!!

Recientemente remodelado, el rojo es siempre un favorito Chili firme cuando nos visita de Wakefield. Algunos nuevos platos que no vemos en casa. Siempre una cálida bienvenida y un personal de Arosh tomarán tiempo para charlar y nunca tienes la sensación de prisa y la comida siempre es casera a un alto nivel.

Pedimos una última noche para llevar. Decía "60 Minutos", que llegó después de 1 hora 20 minutos.

Its been a long time since I ate here but the food was still the good quality and the service was excellent, they have added a buffet selection since i was last there but we opted for something off the menu.

Tried Red Chilli 2 for a Saturday night Takeaway on the recommendation of friends. Having been told when placing the order it would be ready in 30 minutes, it was finally handed over after 1 hour and 15 minutes! The apologies and gratis bottle of wine (£4 retail) were accepted in the appeasing spirit they were apparently intended; however, the sentiment was completely lost when, on arriving home and unpacking my order, I discovered that the £4.60 King Prawn Butterfly starter equated to 2 medium sized (and I am being generous) prawns and that on checking I had been overcharged in excess of £2. In the spirit of fairness, the King Prawn Purees were generous and tasty and overall the food was of a better than average standard. However at £46 for 4 starters 2 main courses, 2 rice, 2 nan and 5 popadoms with pickle tray it was overpriced (even allowing for the overcharge). Ultimately, understand Saturday nights are busy and that timings do occasionally slip, but 45 miins extra is a too much!

Nice experience with a good range of meals to choose from. Staff were, as usual, friendly and efficient.

We visited the Red Chilli early on New Years Eve, as we have done for a number of years. The restaurant was very busy, but despite not booking, the staff were able to prepare a table for us. The restaurant is not particularly large and there are quite a few tables, so it is somewhat cramped. When busy, it is not a restaurant that would lend itself to being intimate. Service is on the whole okay. Quick to take orders for drinks, however it did take time for them to be delivered to the table. The selection of drinks is good for a curry house.The menu is comprehensive with the usual selection of traditional curry dishes (Korma, Jalfrezi etc). however my recommendation is to go for the speciality dishes, for which there are quite a few. The garlic naan can have too much garlic on for my liking so end up scraping quite a bit of garlic off before eating.I find that having poppadoms, starter and main course is too much to eat. We now stick with a starter and main course with a shared rice and large garlic naan bread which is just right. Should you have any leftovers, the staff are more than happy to prepare a doggy bag.I find that the food here has the right blend of flavour and heat, leading to a very tasty meal that can be savoured, rather than a dish that is hot for the sake of being hot.Pricewise, it is not the cheapest curry house in the area, however you get what you pay for which is a very good quality meal with decent cuts of meat/seafood with a portion size that will fill you up.

Visited NYE with 2 other couples so six of us in total.As you can imagine the place was very busy inside and under pressure with takeouts too, but as ever the service was exceptional as was the food.We all had starters, poddadoms , mains, rice and the drinks were flowing. Waiter was very attentive and despite being busy was happy to suggest a wait between courses.Can honestly say this is the best Indian my wife and I have ever been too for consistent excellence in food and the service is always second to none. This place feels like going round to a friends house it is so chilled out and friendly.Forget the rest and try the best, you won't be disappointed .Thanks guys, Andy.

Phoned up for a take-away New Years eve got told a time to pick it up, I went to pick it up and had to wait an additional 45 minutes making my wait for food 90 minutes that's double what I got told. Now I know it was New years eve and they were busy, but to have to wait in their restaurant 45 minutes without any explanation about why it was taking so long, no apology and not even offered a drink. I am not complaining about their food there is not many better just about their customer service and about how they treat their take-away customers. Don't know if I will use them again

we arrived just before 6pm on a friday. not a single person in the restaurant, nearly walked out but so glad we didnt. staff were really attentive but not over bearing. and now to the food. it was delicious. the starter we had is probably the nicest we have ever eaten. it was the mixed meat sharer. the main was equally as nice - garlic chicken tikka bhuna. the naan bread aas massive!!! 2 of us all in cost less than 40 quid for starters mains and drinks. well worth a visit!!!

To be honest, this is somewhere we have been going for years and I've never thought to write a review! The food is excellent and they are always happy to change things for you if you have a certain diet (or are maybe just a bit fussy!) Many of the staff have been there for years which I like but even if it's your first visit they'll give you a warm and friendly welcome. It's not huge and impersonal like some of the local Indian restaurants. The staff will nearly all pass your table at some point to check everything is OK or to see if you need more drinks. I honestly cannot find fault with this place and they maintain the same high standards year after year. Definitely a family favourite and a great place to catch up with friends as it's not too noisy!

Me and my friends ordered a curry last night to be delivered. I ordered saag gosht. I asked for it hot (when I do this places normally just ignore me). Red chilli 2 listened and it was one of the nicest curries I have had in such a long time. A lot of curry house takeaways can be really oily but this wasn't. All of my friends agreed that their curries were amazing. I will 100% be ordering from red chilli 2 again.
