Not a warm welcome. Felt like we were intruding on a staff meeting. The waiter referred to my party as guys when clearly 2 of us were ladies. I asked the waiter not to address us in that manor. 3/4 of an hour later when the food came he did it again. Other restaurants are available locally.

The food here isn’t good. The mixed platters are flavourless, they use tinned mushrooms in many dishes, which taste like rubber, and I can’t quite put my finger on it, but the meat doesn’t taste fresh at all. These guys definitely need a new chef ASAP. I won’t be returning. Additionally, the prices are extortionate for the portion size and quality. I don’t mind paying more if the quality is there, but it just isn’t.

Neither child nor allergy friendly. No highchairs and no allergen menu, despite the latter being a legal requirement. Not a very welcoming or accommodating atmosphere. We had to leave before ordering as the staff wanted us to trust that they knew what was in their dishes, rather than providing the legally required allergen information. Very disappointing.

We came for family dinner and really enjoyed ourselves. It was very quiet. The staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The service was prompt and all the food was delicious. The restaurant has a nice ambience about it. Portions were a good size. Overall, very positive.

Being from the midlands we are very well versed in the ways of good quality Indian food, unfortunately this wasn't. Our suspicions were first aroused when approaching the restaurant there was no smell, staff were very pleasant as was the atmosphere, it's a shame the food didn't follow suit. We ordered starters & mains, the starters were out within 2 minutes, just thought they were well prepared. For my main I ordered a Lamb Biryani, this should have taken some time, again was out before we knew it, what could be going on! My suspicion is that this is the Indian version of Paellador in Spain, pre packed frozen Paella for tourists, not unpleasant but Anglicized and bland.

We eat a lot of curry and usually get it from Akash. The last order we got was terrible We had 6 different dishes, and none of them had any taste at all. The Biriani rice was like eating boiled rice, and we had to chuck the onion Bhajees away as they were raw and not cooked. The whole meal was a total disappointment. I shall be going back to Ali's who never disappoint.
