The best indian restaurant in the area, by far. We ordered garlic chicken, saag bahji and pilau rice. It was all very good, and good sized portions. Ready for collection in 15 minutes. Thanks.

Food was awful. Chicken tikka was just lumps of tasteless boiled chicken. No smell or flavour. Naan was sponge, sag aloo mush tasted of sweaty onions and the tikka masala had no flavour at all. Worst Indian we’ve had in ages. Most of it ended up in the bin What has happened to Akash????

Super restaurant. 6 of us and all enjoyed our meals. Not over priced, friendly service. Will definitely be back. My Husband has been looking for a chicken saah madras hot to mstcj his favourite from a restaurant that closed down ad in the last few years, this came closest.

Wouldn't waste my time. Waiters are rude. They left one person in our group without their good told them to be patient. Then at the end tried to charge us for something we didn't have. Told my mother who is 65 she didn't understand and basically was stupid when she asked a question about the bill. Would avoid.

Made a reservation online for for four of us. On arrival head waiter stroppily informs us that we should have phoned in our booking as 'we have a problem with online' as though it was our fault. Twice we had to ask for drinks without being offered, and had to ask for poppadoms too. Waiters ignoring us as other tables who arrived received their main courses long before we did. Waiting well over 30 mins for our main courses despite asking twice why they didn't arrive and no apology for this when our food eventually did arrive. Then they have the nerve to add a 10% non-discretionary charge for non-existent 'service'. Food was ok but swimming in sauce. No wonder this place was half empty on a Friday night when we left. An abysmal experience and we won't be going back.

4/10 this is an exceptionally average restaurant. Service is poor and the price was ridiculous - food itself was dripping in oil and was microwaved. Base curry sauce bland and we paid 7.50 for a pint I actually couldn’t believe that they feel that they could charge this. A lot of empty seats at the restaurant for a reason, London is super competitive for a curry so please save yourself time and don’t go. Also charging £30 for 10 popadoms and sauces for 6 people is daylight robbery. Don’t go.

If you are drunk eat there, if not don't. The food belongs to 1980s. Menu far too long to offer fresh food. Microwave v busy - it was within siteline of my seat. Food colouring used so liberally I though the Raita should be checked for radio activity. All food dripping in sauces. Service poor until we asked for bill. Won't be returning - would rather get take away from M&S or preferably cook my own. At least I'd know whatis in it.

Had three popadoms missing called them said they would bring them round soon as possible as driver very busy that was at 6.24pm now it’s 9.09pm still not got them will not order from here again they just lost a regular customer.

Food was okay. Was late for the second time. Delivery driver told us not to order from them again as they don't deliver to SW6. Take the post code OFF if you don't deliver. Don't be rude to your customers

Had a selection of curries including some veggie sides! Food was delicious and the staff were really accommodating for vegetarians and nut allergies! Plus you can’t beat great service and friendly staff. Can’t recommend Akash more you won’t regret it

Been using Akash for many years for take away and delivery. Never usually a problem however on a Sunday night I turned away my order that eventually turned up 90 mins after I ordered it. Was told it would be 50 mins. 4 times the restaurant told me it was on the way.

We were a family of 5 and the only customers during our visit in that evening۔ We ordered a selection of starters، and for the high price، the portion sizes were tiny۔ The food was bland and individual meat pieces very small and not well marinated or spiced۔ Salad was from a packet۔ The waiter was not friendly at all۔ I have been to Indian restaurants all over the UK and this was the worst I had in terms of taste، value and overall experience۔ Please avoid۔

Would never usually eat an Indian in this area as most the other restaurants are bang average but partner was adamant she wanted a curry. Worst thing is she is clueless on Indian food but went along knowing a cobra and curry gravy still beats 50% of what’s out there. The mint sauce had a bit of chilli & yoghurt in it which made the poppadum starter great. Onions, Pickle and Chutney were decent too. Lamb Balti didn’t have much taste and the pieces were lower quality. I struggle with curries in London, I think you just have to take the hit and go somewhere like Brigadiers where you get what you pay for.

The food is average. Chicken tikka tasted of nothing. The gobhi bhaji had more oil than any other ingredients in it! We were refused to order more naans as they had too many take away orders so came out half full. Take away business in these times is important I understand but at the same time if you have put tables in the restaurant please serve your customers too!

Delicious food that tastes fresh. Lamb Pasanda with their Pea Pilau rice was incredible. Really enjoyed a dinner here with my partner last week. As it was raining, we were pleased that we could eat inside while social distancing to enjoy a lovely meal.

We stopped ordering from this place due to the arrogance of the order taker and because they kept getting the dishes wrong and were very rude when a complaint was made. After a few years we decided to order from then again having a hankering for a particular dish. What a mistake. Needless to say, the dish we wanted was not delivered and was mistakenly replaced with something different. That dish was a chicken dish of such poor quality one was left concerned about the age and freshness of the chicken used, which was dry and at best, reheated. Raising this with the staff brought nothing but derision and an accusation that it was our fault rather than there's. Whilst offered a replacement, that was not an acceptable solution to us as the food was so poor and of questionable freshness. When this was raised I was told that they had never had a complaint in the 25 years they had been open. Not entirely accurate as we had cause to complain previously and, the second review on TripAdvisor from a few months ago, is exactly the same as ours. After an abject refusal to refund the cost of the incorrect dish and the indledible starter I was told that this was not an option. One assumes that they have a cash flow issue (as was once told to me by the boss) hence they appear to re-cylcle such old meat. Having asked to speak to the boss, I was told that he was away until next month which possibly explains such poor and low standards This was awful food, terrible customer service, rude and I sulking to me as a customer. Avoid this outlet.

We’ve eaten in at Akash Tandoori and ordered a takeaway. The curries and naan breads are so fresh and the onion bhajis are delicious. If you’re in Clapham, we highly recommend ordering food from this place or going for dinner post lockdown!

So can’t fault the food, it was really tasty but unfortunately it was delivered an hour late and came almost cold. Totally get it was busy and demand was high, just would have liked a more realistic delivery date than having to chase and then it arrive so late and cold.

I live down the road so have ordered from Akash a lot in the past. Last 5 orders they have brought the wrong food every time. When informing them of this they have been very rude (telling me they can't do anything about it and can only have me store credit and not refund). Very dissapointed!

So disappointed..first time I ordered the pakora had amazing flavour and was not soggy at all...tasted fresh and batter was crispy with moist chicken. So I ordered twice more, but each time after the pakora was dripping in grease and so soggy so after 2 more chances will not be ordering again. Arrived very late, despite the usual ‘it’s already on its way’ call. Missing two dishes. Expensive Prawn curry had lots of sauce but only 4 tiny prawns. Very disappointing.

Delivery came 2.45 hours after I had ordered, kept calling the restaurant and was told the driver would be there. I had to call the actual delivery driver and send him my location because he apparently couldn’t find my address. I didn’t receive a call from them to advise they couldn’t find me I had to chase them. I don’t believe they couldn’t find my address. The food was good. “It arrived warm” suspicious since they couldn’t find me for 2 hours. Lamb was tough

Food was 5 mins over the expected time which is not too bad. Food was cold however which is never nice ordering out. And the chicken in the curry was scarce, just filled with load of sauce. I don’t think it’s worth the money, when I know other Indians charge less, get more with food delivered hot, tasty and on time. I must say there was great flavour in the chicken and lamb dish. The rice had a metallic taste.

We were a party of 13 people and everyone enjoy the meal, the service and the ambiance. Our food was very tasty and full of flavors.

Fuimos a cenar con 4 amigos. La comida servida era promedio y más cara que en locales locales similares, pero podríamos haber pasado esto por alto si no fuera por el atroz servicio al cliente. Aunque el restaurante estaba prácticamente vacío, nos apuraron a comer y la factura se produjo mientras uno de nosotros todavía estaba comiendo el plato principal. ¡La razón de esto se hizo evidente cuando nos pidieron que abandonáramos nuestra mesa ya que era necesaria para otra persona! Esto parecía extraño ya que el restaurante estaba prácticamente vacío, pero realmente no nos dieron ninguna advertencia o elección. Cuando cuestionamos cortésmente el cargo por servicio agregado a nuestra factura, a la luz de la falta de servicio prestado, el camarero nos dijo que era obligatorio pagar. Se volvió cada vez más agresivo cuando explicamos que nos sentíamos muy apurados y comenzamos a gritarle a dos de nuestro grupo, ¡uno de los cuales está muy embarazada! Además, ¡desconfíe de pedir que se cumplan los requisitos dietéticos, ya que los platos alternativos se cargan como el artículo más caro del menú! Muy decepcionado con el servicio al cliente recibido de Akash esta semana. Después de revisar el sitio web, hice un pedido por teléfono y me dijeron que sería 20 más que el precio cotizado en línea. Had to send a main back because it was the wrong one but quick response and right one sent with no issues raised. Also delivered very quickly in correction of the mistakes. Food hot and very tasty. Best lamb tikka masala I’ve had.

the food was nice do not get me wrong taste wise but by the time it got to me it was stone cold only the rice had any heat had the put the rest in the microwave to heat up not the best 12.65 I’ve ever spent

Parrilla mixta seca, pedimos dos platos de gambas, uno se supone que son gambas kari gigantes, pero desafortunadamente tenemos gambas congeladas. . Ambos platos de langostinos fueron impactantes y de muy baja calidad de consistencia. . Están cobrando por langostinos frescos, pero están sirviendo gambas congeladas. . . chocante. . El arroz pillaf estaba seco. .Se lo contamos a uno de los camareros pero él no entiende nada e insiste en que sean buenos platos. Incluso le dijimos al gerente lo mismo con respecto a la calidad de los platos, pero no muestra ningún cuidado.Mi opinión están muy por detrás en la calidad de la comida india. . Deben aceptar las críticas para poder mejorar en el futuro.Hemos comido en muchos lugares y muchos restaurantes indios, pero ése es simplemente SHOCKING.

Extensive menu, reasonably priced. Excellent food, some of the dishes were completely new to me. I tried a couple (marinated lamb, as a starter less than £5). Was very good. And one of the house speciality Nepalese dishes for my main course, which was also very good.

Garlic naan was cold which made it not enjoyable at all. The coke I ordered was warm which also made it not enjoyable.
