The staff were very polite and the food was very good. We were the only table there, so we could not judge the atmosphere. It was remarkably hot in there, and it could do with some air con. Will go back.

Great food but we picked the wrong night to visit as all the staff were watching the football!! Choose your date to visit wisely!!

I’ve been coming here for a few years, and this is, by far, my favorite Indian restaurant in Basingstoke. The staff is friendly, the food is excellent, and the restaurant is often quiet, which I appreciate. The takeaway is also great, but as far as I know, you still have to collect the food yourself, which might be inconvenient for some.

Have ordered food here a few times and it's up there with the best I've had over 20 odd years. Went in for the first time last weekend and the staff were so lovely, friendly and efficient, and really liked the decor and feel of the place. Also love the easy parking, and full menu (and chocolate mints!).

Popped in to order a spur of the moment takeaway. Haven't been here for years, but the food was really lovely. Interior is a bit tired and shabby looking. Staff were friendly and helpful

Great food, but the restaurant is very quiet. The staff tend to chat to customers they know and leave people who have not been to their restaurant alone, felt a bit unwelcome. Not at all attentive.

First time ordering and I'll be ordering again. I had a tikka masala, it was pure heaven, tastes as how exactly it's meant to taste, a little spice, but not too spicy, the ones I've had before at other places were so mild, but not this one - just right! My daughter had the biryani and she said it's the best she has ever had, the rest of the family even agreed it was so so good. We have had countless different Indian takeaways and I must say, this place is far far the best I've had. Definitely coming back for more next time we all fancy an Indian takeaway!

Updated Jan 2023: Visited again with some friends, was slightly concerned about the recent negative reviews but safe to say it was still excellent food and we all enjoyed our meals. Price wise, still reasonable compared to a few others but worth it none the less. Previous 2019: From the outside, the place looks a bit worn down...to put it nicely...BUT it's made up for by the great food and friendly staff! First time here and was more than happy with the quality of the food, the portion size and cost. I'd be happy to return again!

Absolutely rubbish they must have a new chef again worst meal I've ever had . I would not recommend this place . The problem with this restaurant is when they get a good chef they have no idea how to keep them . I've never eaten at a restaurant because of the restaurant it's always been because of the food and its all about the chef not the management. This Restaurant has no idea about good food . Save your money. The only people happy to eat at this restaurant are people who have no idea what good food should taste like . 0 out of 10 for food unbelievable awful.

Nice food in the restaurant but was charged £8.50 for 2 glasses of warm bottled lemonade!!! also 2 poppadoms came to £3.60! Need to sort their prices out. Will go elsewhere next time as drinks prices are far too much!

Tried this place purely for somewhere different. The staff were polite and the food was OK. It would have been nice to see some Paneer dishes offered as main courses, rather than just vegetables. I personally would not like to be in this restaurant when it is full, as it is not that big for the amount of tables and chairs that they have. Possibly could do with a bit of modernisation. But, as I said, it was OK and plenty of parking.

Good food however charged us 8.50 for two orange juices - what a rip off, because they are quiet - I recommend tuli or towers great food without ripping customers off on drinks!

Celebrated my son's 23rd birthday here last night. First class meal and the service was second to none. I don't normally leave reviews but these guys really deserve a positive shout. This has been my go to Indian restaurant since the 1980's and I don't intend changing any time soon!

Best food in Basingstoke by far flavour heat and atmosphere 10 out of 10 ,but the food is out of this world. I would recommend this place to anyone. Those who know me yo need to taste this place

Went for a family meal Friday evening, the food was amazing, the service was spot on. Staff very friendly. Kodoo Duck I requested to be mild and they tried that just for me. Highly recommended. If you’re looking for a delicious Indian meal look no further. 10/10 love it!!!

Absolutely delicious!!! Our first time going to Chineham Indian Cuisine this evening and we went in to have a drink whilst we waited for our order. The staff were so lovely and welcoming, and let us finish our drinks before bringing out our takeaway order. Got home and the food was piping hot and so flavourful. We won't be going anywhere else for an Indian dish now! Thank you, team!

I have been visiting this restaurant for about 20 years and the food is always excellent. Went for a meal last week and it is sad that covid is affecting business so much that there was only us and one other family on a Saturday evening although takeaway and delivery business seemed busy. Would have given 5 stars but feel a little agrieved by the charge of over £15 on the bill for drinks (2 bottles of water) and 4 poppadoms. Maybe i am being unjust in challenging their need to make ends meet in these difficult times but personally i would rather see higher prices upfront than a stealth charge on unlisted menu items.

Dropped in for a cheeky curry, chicken pathia (L) and a chicken Dhansak (R). Both good portions and we'll prepared. The pathia was red hot, in a good way. Whilst the Dhansak was so so. I did have a keema naan aswell which was spot on. Verdict: Recommended 😎

Average food, good service, decent prices. The food is not Indian cuisine, more Bangladeshi than anything else. Nonetheless, it's okay considering the prices they charge. The decor is still stuck in the mid 70's and can do with a tidy up. I'd order from here again but only because this place is the best out of a bad bunch. No complaints about the service.

Good food - friendly service - bit slow at busy times

Service was lacklustre, waiters drifting around like they was bored. Food was very average both in presentation but mostly in taste. Chose a dessert that arrived frozen solid, I chipped at it mockingly with my spoon to the waiter who just stared at me momentarily then walked off. I had to call him back to have it removed. Overall quite disappointed.

Absolutely disgusting service! Ordered a prawn dish and got some fake chicken pieces instead! It was a pulp type white meat that was undeniable chicken meat. Told management and instead of trying to fix the problem, he said the meat was prawns! Unbelievable! I said I don’t mind paying for this dish, but you have to charge me for chicken dish instead of prawns. The management even brought out his chef and he too said it was prawns (after some debate in his native language)! I even question if the chef is an illegal immigrant. Anyway the decor is old and dirty, stinks like someone’s done a number too! You have to mask out the smell by getting yourself drunk. The carpets are like old rags and your shoes feels like superglued onto the floor. Totally disgusting place, management and food! If I can give zero star, I would!
