The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

The food arrived earlier than expected but the food was bland. 8 didnt know it was possible to use spices and still end up with a tasteless dish, its amazing really.

On arrival we were greeted in a friendly manner and enjoyed good food but felt it was well over priced and portions were very small To our shock and amazement a bottle of prosecco was £50 so we drank 2 bottles of Cobra at an alarming £18!!!! After aproaching the manager regarding his drink prices he became arguementative and defensive about his overheads ...... not our issue Would not recommend a visit here due to pricing and portion size.

Best curry we've had in a long time! Will definitely order again soon.

The menu offers a good choice and we were not disappointed with our food. We felt the service was a bit offhand - the young waiter who 'greeted' us seemed pretty disinterested, although one who served the table was more pleasant. The portion size was good and the food well presented and tasty and we enjoyed our meal.

5/5 every time. Wish I could rate higher - both eat in and takeaway always exceeds expectations. Always a thank you to the amazing staff for perfect food and service! Couldn't recommend more

The food is absolutely amazing and so delicious 😋 will defiantly be coming back for more! First time ordering for a takeaway and it's just so good. Delivery driver very polite, friendly and respectful, price is good and you get a lot for two people, good communication with the receptionist, very patient and friendly. The staff treated us like we were pests to them and needed to get in and out asap the room was disgusting we went in while the buffet was on and the buffet was through different doors into the pub! The food was cold and nearly always empty pots! Small room very short doors I am 5’7 and nearly hit my head! Would not recommend. We had to order separate food for me due to me being vegetarian as the options on the buffet consisted of “fried potato” so I had to pay for the buffet and a separate meal. The place was not well kept and dying flowers were on all the tables. Photos attached are of the female bathroom! Was an absolute state the toilet seat had dirt all over it… yet again would not recommend to anyone. It wasn’t cheap either!

Have visited a few times however left unimpressed this time. Restaurant was cold, which the tables both sides of us agreed (coats remaining worn). Waiter unable to turn heating up. Food arrived fairly quickly but disappointed by lack of meat and excess onions. Gave feedback to waiter and subsequently the owner who showed no interest and said it was the best in the area for value.

I dine in, collect takeaway and have delivery from The Lemon Grass. The people are friendly and professional, their food is spot on and delivery is very quick. They can prepare food to my individual taste. Always a pleasant experience so I rate them 5 stars across the board.

Tried Ali’s for the first on Monday, I thought it was the best Indian i had ever eaten!. And looked forward all week to my next Night off work and my next order!. I ordered exactly the same meal. Absolutely swimming in grease! And The rice was just the same and tasted terrible. Must of been a different chef on tonight. Because Tuesday’s meal was just amazing. I’m sorry but it was such a big disappointment. The lot was thrown into the bin.

We stayed nearby and only booked when we got here. We were really looked after, the service was excellent and the food amazing, so much choice and all really tasty. We left feeling stuffed but happy. Shame we live 2 hours away but to be honest it is worth the trip

This place is amazing! The food was rich in flavor and cooked to perfection. The staff was polite and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The warm decor and cozy ambiance made it a delightful dining experience!
