Enjoyed the Sunday buffet. 2 starters, pilau rice and naan, 3 main dishes and a side dish. Very reasonably priced and food cooked fresh and 'topped up' regularly. Been twice and will be going again soon.

Booked a table for 3 online at short notice. On arrival received a warm welcome. The staff are very attentive in fact I’d say they were superb and some of the best out there! We are from the West Midlands and know a good curry when we taste one and the food here didn’t disappoint. Would we return…? It’s a big fat yes

Finally got around to trying the Sunday night buffet at this establishment. And it wasn’t half-bad if the truth be told. But be warned they only take cash for the buffet. Starter choice of onion bhaji and tandoori chicken was good.Portion size was generous and both were nicely spiced. For the main there was a choice of 3 curries, the lamb was my favourite with the green chilli chicken coming a close second.In addition there was a potato Aloo which complemented the other dishes nicely. There were the obligatory rice and nan bread both of which were well cooked and well seasoned. The choice on offer wasn’t that large compared to other Indian buffets I’ve been to,but was just the job on a Sunday evening to soak up the weekend’s excesses. Service was fine and flexible,they managed to squeeze me in at the last minute without a booking. At just under £20 with a large soft drink,the price was fairly reasonable,nowhere is cheap cheap to eat out these days I find. X

Freshly cooked food to a very high standard. We had a lovely meal and would highly recommend a visit. The staff were courteous and helpful and there were no delays between courses.

Great food excellent service.....,

Onion Bhaji under cooked in the middle and stodgy, over cooked on the outside. Sag Paneer had cheddar in it. I specifically asked them not to use cheddar. All food was luke warm and poor quality and ingredients. Photos show what I ordered and what I left. 20 minutes after and I feel physically sick. They're relying on tourists to survive. Overall a bad experience. BTW my partner is a chef.

One, if not the best Madras lamb curries I have ever eaten.Absolutely fabulous.Was made very welcome.The staff are top notch.Was with my wife and when we are in this area again we will definitely come here again.Excellent food and service.👍👍

Lovely food, great size portions, well priced, friendly staff. Mixed Indian Summer starter was lovely, meat was so tender. Curry was really tasty and large portion. Portion of rice was on the small side but nan bread was lovely. Would definitely visit again.

Walked in as there were no free spaces in the seafood restaurant at the harbour. Now I'm sure that this is a top quality Indian - Bangladesh food restaurant. Special biryani (mixture of 2 meats and prawns) and special tawa ( mixture of 2 meats and prawns) were so tasty, so dishes were returned completely empty! Been eating Indian food in east Midlands, but here was really special. Finger licking dishes!

Popped in after visiting another Indian where we were asked to wait 10-15 minutes for a seat. Staff were very friendly, helpful and the food was fresh and on point.

Lovely restaurant we accidentally discovered. The food was excellently cooked with lots of flavour and the waiter assisted us in making the right choice for the slightly fussy member of our group. He also gave us the choice of Indian hot or English hot for one particular hot dish we were trying, which was funny but also useful. The toilets were decent although the hand drier had seen better days. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

To start with we had to wait a few minutes to be hosted. Futgermore, Please be aware of ordering when flavouring and adjusting the dish you may wish to enjoy! In addition. When ordeing for food. I asked if they could sereve us jera rice. A simple addition to rice they had on menu. He simply refused, no we don't . I then asked, if the could give us chilly added to garlic and corridor nan. When the nan arrived with chilles simply added on! Not infused in the nan. The Bombay Aloo, was awful, though looked prity, but no real taste , and it swimed in oil..lol The so called Tlaka Dal...we asked for fresh talka on it. It came, OMG, so very plain and no taste, yet looked deceivingly taste! In my 53 years, in UK, this was by far the worst experience , as an Indian I have had in a Bangladeshi restaurant! To that end, I wish, indhiside , walked out Prakash

Ordered food for collection. Very slow service, had to wait an extra 30mins to get our food. Food was ok.

We ordered from here last night and soooo glad we did. The best curry I've had down here in years! The lamb was melt in your mouth. Everything was amazing. The tikka masala sauce was so tasty. We used to eat here regularly in the restaurant and order from here when we first moved down years ago. Don't even know why we stopped, but so glad we have come back.

Wonderful traditional Bangladeshi curry houses. We went there twice during our week long stay in Newquay. Had the best Phal in my life. Not on the menu, you have to ask for it!

We normally go to Maharaja but was refused a table as they were too busy. Thankfully we found Indian Summer and the wonderful Andre. Fantastic food, service and ambience, this is our new number 1 Indian restaurant in Newquay. Highly recommended.

Home delivery chicken ticka masala and korma. Like a mouth full of sugar. I wasted my money. Not sure if under new management but why sugar like cheap white sugar. We couldn't finish it has to throw it away. Any chance of a refund would be great. Don't order from here. I can cook better myself. Huge lumps of meat. Why? Disgusting.

Hi friends I am proper Indian and citizen of Hyderabad we have ordered a veg biryani and a chicken tikka biryani and the taste was worst we had in our life very disgusting it’s not a proper Indian biryani at all we have wasted all our money buy getting biryani at all we have no words to say how worst it was and please I request Indian or British or any Europe ppl anywhere from world please don’t ever go to this restaurant to taste Indian food as a Indians we ordered and tasted the disgusting taste of biryani ever had Recommend all people don’t ever go to this restaurant for tasting Indian food

AVOID - unreliable!!! Ordered on Just Eat, but cancelled after nearly 45 mins!! Why advertise when postcode has been entered!!!

Instead of my usual "eat in" at this establishment I decided to have a takeaway from this excellent restaurant. I ordered the Harri Mirchi Murgi which was absolutely delicious. Being described in the menu as a very hot tasty dish and that's exactly what it was, absolutely perfect, so If spicy food is your thing, I can highly recommend you to try this dish.

Wow, so, I’ve been using Indian Summer Newquay since it opened. The food was amazing and I would recommend as the best Indian food in Newquay. That has changed, I ordered my favourites and I couldn’t be more disappointed, on both mains, the chicken tasted like it had been microwaved, it was like rubber, tough as old boots, it cost in total £27, I’d of been better off getting a ready meal from the co-op! So disappointed The picture below was the ‘Chargrilled chicken tikka before it went in the bin.

I can say only about take away. Thanks for serving for ther order made at 10.46 PM. I can't say authentic Indian taste. As I am an Indian, honestly love any Indian flavors.

In reply to your response to my husbands review, the options on the buffet is good value however the only thing hot was the plate. Unfortunately we don't enjoy cold food from a restaurant, buffet or not and I suggest you check your fridge as the cobra was luke warm and again unpleasant . We made this booking when travelling down on Saturday and have looked forward to it all day but it wasnt good at all. Strangely all the locals we've spoken to have said that they wouldn't recommend your restaurant to any visitors as your standards have dropped in recent months

Called in today at 6 pm for their buffet which starts at 530 there was 4 curry dishes, a rice, naan bread and onion bhaji. Everything was stone cold, sauce was watery and it was inedible. The cobra lager was warm, unfortunately couldn't eat anything so only paid for the drinks. There is nothing biased about this review as a first time customer having cold food from a buffet is not acceptable you had two other couples in when we came in if they aren't prepared to tell the truth about your buffet that's up to them

A fantastic meal of very tasty Indian cuisine, great to see a restaurant so busy on a Tuesday night, has to be the greatest recommendation for a restaurant ever.

First time trying an Indian meal and it was an okay experience here at Indian summer in newquay. We were warmly received without booking prior. We were given a table and handed out the menu. The environment was neat. We ordered coca cola and it wasn't cold. It was like they were managing ice. We asked for more ice and like 6pieces was given to us😅, I'll attach the picture. The man who served us the coca cola was also not very pleasant. Anyways, someone else served our meal and he was better. We ordered biryani chicken with rice, south Indian chilli chicken with rice and naan bread. The biryani came with a sauce. I didn't try it but my husband said it tasted nice. The meal tasted okay esp the biryani. The naan bread did get really oily as it began to cool so we couldn't finish it also i felt the chilli chicken could have been more hot in terms of chilli. We were disappointed in that because that was one of the reasons why we ordered it. Maybe we should have told them we wanted it really hot. We had an issue with the chicken in the chilli chicken looking pink and we asked if that was right and it was explained that it was the seasoning that made it that way. If you cut the chicken through, it was actually obvious that it was cooked through. Overall I'll say it was a 7/10 experience. I also think the Coca-Cola was overpriced for something that we saw them pour out from a big coke plastic bottle.

Ordered a couple of meals from here 2 nights ago,and I must say they were absolutely lovely, cooked to perfection really tasty! One of the best curries my self and my wife have ever had..and we've been curry lovers for years. If you enjoy a decent curry that is good value for money.. give this takeaway/restaurant a try!! 5 stars.

Went for the Sunday buffet if you can call it that! Was unedible. Raw chicken pretty much. No flavour or disgusting flavour. Wouldn't feed it my dog! Place was pretty much empty. Tandoori chicken horrendous, charged us £3 for dips that were also vile. If it wasn't in the highstreet of newquay it would never survive! What a scam. How can they call this Indian food. More like cay shi***

Do not expect an Indian Taste, the food is very blend, without salt, vegetables in the curry will be big in pieces. I personally didn’t liked the food and quality even 1% would not suggest if looking for an Indian food.

Ordered a delivery take away on a Wednesday evening. Food arrived before scheduled time. Pleasantly surprised at the flavour and quality of food. Lamb Tikka balti and South Indian Chilli Chicken and 2x Naans, Pilau rice were excellent considering it was take away. 5 stars! 👍

Refused the buffet to solo person. I went there for the sunday buffet, was told on the phone it was between 5.15 and 7.15pm. When I was there, the person at the counter told me it was cash payment for buffet and card payment only for ordering menu items. when asked why they wont accept card for buffet, they said its their policy. It seemed quite strange as, if they have the card reading machine, why wont they accept it for buffet.. this could have been specified on the phone as i asked for a single person.. wonder if this had something to do with the fact that it was for a solo person of colour?!

Visited late on a Sunday...as a walk in...welcomed and very well looked after by very attentive staff. Food from the menu was excellent, hot and very tasty.

Order mutter paneer: paneer was missing aloo gobi : no salt Bangali fish curry: again potato was missing mushroom rice: was good but no salt cheese naan: very good garlic naan : very nice Tandoori chicken was very good Price is normal

Really couldn't fault this at all. Having walked past it a few times somewhat put off by the large menu board outside, we gave it a go having been recommended to do so by local friends. We have tried the other Indian restaurants in Newquay and while there were generally pretty good, Indian Summer has become an immediate favourite. Warm welcome, restaurant has a nice layout (better than one may think from the road view). Could not fault the service, hearty portions and a decent menu. Most importantly the food was beautifully cooked, flavoursome and well spiced. Will definitely return.

We came for the Sunday buffet. It was a little quiet but it was a stormy night in January so what do you expect. We were welcomed and sat in a lovely alcove and shown the drinks menu. We were expecting the drinks to be expensive as they sometimes are in these sorts of places but were pleasantly surprised. A rattler was only £3.95, the same as most reasonable pubs. The tandoori chicken was tender and the onion bhajis were some of the best I've had. The curries were flavorful with tender chicken and lamb. A bargain at £13.95. I would 100% recommend 👌

Was recomended by a local Friend & Trip Advisor reviews. Wouldn't listen to either again 🙄 Originally booked to eat in at 5.30pm as knew NY Eve would be busy. Storms changed it to a takeaway delivery. Was told couldn't pick a time as too busy for delivery so would be by 6pm. Good job I rang at 5 to order. They turned up late at 6.40pm. Mixed starter was pathetic! £5.10 omg I could get a better one from Asda for far less. Included 2 hard pieces of lamb & no tikka. Worst starter I have had anywhere in the UK & I eat alot of Currys. The Curries.... Tikka Massala, specifically asked for minimal coconut & medium. Came cold, bland, very mild and so much coconut it actually crunched in your mouth. 4 large pieces of chicken in one & 5 in the other, both went in the bin within a few mouthful's. The Rogan was bland as. The Garlic naan...asked for extra garlic had NO garlic on at all and were the size of a side plate!! The Roti was even more of a joke an came in a plastic bag so was soggy an no bigger than a tea plate 😳 Frozen Chips. Plain rice when asked for Pilau. The prawn puri was a joke. Again a soggy wrap that came yet again in a plastic bag. Not sure what the prawns actually were as they were like a mangled octopus 🤢 I have written this review straightaway as we are so disapointed that this cost us so much and was the worst Indian we have ever had 😡 We specifically ordered it asap they opened knowing they would be too busy later on to perfect a delivery... sadly seems that happened within the first hour of them opening! They also did not answer my message on their FB page yesterday about whether you could take your own alcohol tonight as it is not the buffet menu when they say you can't... mmm funny that. Trying to discourage peeps to know you can?? So you pay for theres! Finally, Cash only?? Again very suspicious that a restaurant don't accept a card payment especially as they are so expensive and in this day & age. If it wasn't NY Eve we would have taken it all back. AVOID and try somewhere else 👌

The food is really bad, service is hell wait and play games until someone bother to come at your tables, waiter are really rude! Very unprofessional,worst service,less quantity and bad quality of food comparing to real Indian restaurant,they are just using Indian cuisine word but they don't even stand near to authentic Indian food. Food was not fully cooked,very spicy and oily,no one is available to take order when you want to order something,we wanted to order 7 chapati but their chef and waiters said that we can only give 5 chapati we cannot cook 7 chapati as we can't spend another 3 hours cooking chapati 🤣🤣. Wow I have to say this is one of the best Indians I've been too. Not only is the service impeccable and they check in, meet your needs, the food is so fresh and divine. Fast service, friendly atmosphere, I really enjoyed having my birthday dinner here!!! the food is served hot, and tatses absolutely divine, thank you so much!! Yum yum!!

Great selection and really tasty food. I went for the green masala as you don't always see it on the menu at other places and it was fantastic. I will definitely be ordering from here again when I'm in the area
