Saltash tandoori have made some of the best curries I have ever had there food is always good and consistent, which if difficult to find nowadays, the food is always good there customer service is even better, and they make a point of getting to know there customer and are always striving to do better couldn't recommend more

Amazing food and service, I truly we are so lucky to have this restaurant in saltash. This is my go to take away or eat out treat.

Staff very welcoming, food ready for my collection time. I had biryani which was very good, but the veg curry accompanying had far too much tomato in. Wouldn’t order this again for that reason, though I would try other dishes.

Ordered online to be delivered, excellent meal lots of sauce and plenty of meat. Ordered Passanda, kurma and tikka Massala all very tasty. Would definitely recommend

Have not visited here for several years due to poor quality and service. Decided to try again a week or so ago. Well what a change! Excellent friendly service. Menu is smaller, but enter for it. Food is of very good quality, full of flavour and good value. Restaurant atmosphere really good. Would recommend and will be going back again.

Nearly 2hrs from order, food arrived cold (had to put it in the microwave cold, not just warm) Chicken chaat was odd, not how I've ever had it before without any bread/wraps. Two medium dishes were tasty, but very very mild. For the cost/wait, overall disappointing

Visited today, always consistently good food. Very attentive and helpful. Was quite noisy tonight with a few kids wandering around but not the restaurants fault at all. Really enjoyed it and will always be back. Only one negative comment… would like more of a gap between courses, always feels a little rushed.

Got a takeaway for 5. Significantly more sauce that meats, especially in the lamb madras Taste was very good but not expensive for mainly sauce.

Been a few times now, always early and on my own. Regardless I was made very welcome by the very friendly staff. Menu is well constructed and uncluttered with some 'signature' dishes as well as the favourites. Service was on point and the food was delicious. I like quite hot spices and this was skilfully achieved without sacrificing flavour. A gem of a find and is definitely 'on my list' Give it a try!

Stunning as always. Bhajis had a great flavour and not greasy, coconut rice was lovely and the naga chicken was awesome. Not just the usual plain chicken-very tasty! Paid 90p for spicy pappadum, was expecting more than 1 in the packet but got a free bottle of beer because they were busy so can’t complain. Best Indian in saltash!

I was really looking forward to my new year’s meal,food was nice but nothing special. Portion size on some of the items ordered was a little smaller than expected. Over all not bad but I’ll be looking else where for my next order.

Arrived after expected time. Curry got the rest cold Curry oily Bread dry and cold. Almost burnt tasting! Awful! Not eaten!

My first visit to Saltash Tandoori.... oh my goodness!!! Amazing food, great service and well priced. My chicken Tikka Masala was absolutely incredible. Probably the best I've ever had. Thank you!!! We will be back very soon.

Poor quality dal. They say they're an Indian restaurant but they don't even have lassi on the menu. Overattentive waiters, interrupting conversations in our group. Leaning into food and dropping their clothes into food.

Honestly the best service. Attentiveness and personal touch for a special occasion even for a delivery for lots of people . Communication and planning was so easy and the food was excellent. Beautiful Food, Very Talkative and Friendly Staff, held a nice conversation about the Middle East with one of the Floor Staff and he suggested some really nice Traditional Dishes that didn't dissapoint.

Nestling in the heart of the town this restaurant offers great service and a warm welcome. The menu though not extensive has all the ilc favorites as well as some signature dishes. I had five chops go start and ghetto were dreadful! No meat on them whatsoever and I thought I should complain but everyone was so nice. I didn’t . My main was a tried and tested favorite chicken biryani with a side dish of mushrooms. This was ok, not great but Ok

Nice place but let down lately but poor management. Takeaway order not processed via just eat and last night out 9 person family meal had not been booked despite emailing them and getting an automated response. Shame

Food turned up cold. Onion bhaji’s oily and fell apart. Chips tasted like they had been cooked days ago. Sauce to the madras was the consistency of water. This used to be an amazing curry house but I will never order here again

This was without contradiction the worst curry I have ever had in fifty years of eating them both in India and the UK. The vegetable biryani had no vegetables other than peas and onions, normally you would have expected a selection of seasonal veg, the sauce was watery and tastless, its the first time that I have had to ask for seasoning. All but one of the party(6) meals were at best bland. Every restaurant can have the odd blip, but clearly there is a problem in the kitchen.

Best Indian in the area, and possibly the whole of Plymouth. Really fresh and tasty, with some more interesting specials for those that want more than a korma

Really good curry. Very fresh ingredients and spice level just right. I wanted extra heat and that’s what I got admittedly I nearly needed the fire brigade to jose my mouth out but it was really tasty!!

Went for the first time tonight for the Banquet night. The banquet was great value for money and the food was excellent ( and we are fussy ) good range of drinks - nice coffee to finish the meal which was a lovely bonus - the service was friendly and professional and will definitely be back. If you are not Tom saltash (we are not ) there is a car park 2 mins walk so great if you are bringing the car

Best Indian takeaway in town, on my last order they forgot the poppadom's I had ordered but it was no big deal, I considered the money we paid a tip. I left a note on my newest order just so it didn't happen again and they gave us extra for missing it last time.

Although we had eaten at this restaurant previously and the food was excellent, we had an awful takeaway 3 weeks later! I had a balti tandoori with only 3 pieces of meat and a rancid sauce that tasted off!! We left a comment on their website but never received a reply. Very disappointed and will not be ordering another takeaway again. It has put us off returning to dine in their restaurant again 😫

The great thing about these guys is that they’re open on a Monday. The restaurant uses real tablecloths and service is really very good. The food is good here and exactly what you would expect from a British Indian restaurant

I think perhaps i should start by stating that on the occasion we visited (for takeaway) all persons eating were vegetarian; I appreciate that some places still struggle to provide good veggie fodder if they're used to meat majority dishes. On the plus: Staff were friendly, Prices reasonable, Poppadoms and rice all good. No one felt ill after eating it On the down side: The curries we had were poor quality. Sadly, neither of the different dishes we were given had any depth of flavour in the sauce or ingredients. Best description would be that it tasted like a bag of mixed frozen veg stirred into a thin gravy and then a chilli thrown in. We would have had a much better quality dinner from a supermarket microwave ready meal. Indeed we've had a few; M&S curries are head and shoulders better than what we had here and 1/2 the price. Somehow this outlet is managing to get over 4* here, so perhaps it's only the vegetarian curries that are not very good? Or perhaps it was the chef's night off? Unfortunately, next time we'll head over the bridge for one of Plymouths many excellent curry houses, as the 5 mins drive is worth it.

Just one issue ..... The tikka massala sauce was bumpy/gritty and not smooth and creamy, although it was eadible ot was disappointing. Delivery in good time. Good portion size.

Lamb was chewy and hard, rice was undercooked so was hard and very very oily!!! Such a shame

Visited this place a couple of times recently for take away/collection and have been really pleased with the service from the staff, super helpful on the phone and when go to the shop to collect. The food is also really good, would highly recommend visiting or getting a take away from Saltash Tandoori.

Best Indian in Plymouth,saltash area. Highly recommend.

Best place for food in this area BUT I would advise that management to allow customers to use the WiFi because this restaurant is in a deadspot where there is NO RECEPTION and if you want to call or communicate with anyone, then this place is a no go. I understand they do not want customers to use their WiFi SSID but there are ways that they can extend it and have a separate password and SSID for customers and staff members.

This was the worst Indian, I’ve had in my life. Not been to the Tandoori for a few years. Used to be great. Menu changed. Much less choice on the veg side. Just mixed vegetables, carrots peas green beans, I think, and potato/ spinach. I ordered mixed veg in a madras. The sauce was clearly added later, as my friend had the Rogan Josh mixed veg. Looked identical apart from the sauce. Next to me a Chicken Madras had been ordered. Quess what? Exactly the same Madras slosh that I had on my veg. Dahl: flavourless/bland. What happened to the delicious Aubergine dish, the okra stir fry and spiced cauliflower? I won’t be back, I’m afraid Oh, on the positive side I did enjoy the popadom

AVOID! Vindaloo could’ve been given to my 1 year old. Hardly any sauces in any of the curries. Chips were burnt and inedible. £50 worth of food went in the bin. After ringing the restaurant, only thing they would do is offer 20% off next time; this is already offered on walk in collections anyway so no reimbursement whatsoever. WILL NOT BE RETURNING!!

Very quiet on a Monday. Pleasant place, decent food if unexciting, reasonable cost. Staff varied from very pleasant to dour.

Ridiculous! Ordered and waited over an hour for our food and one curry missing. We phoned immediately and they said it would be on the way soon. Waited an hour for my starving dad to eat (the rest of his food totally freezing by now) eventually we went down to the restaurant to demand a refund and they refused and only then started cooking it… but we told you an hour ago it was missing!!! So 3 whole hours after ordering he still hasn’t eaten! No money off or anything! No effs given!

Food hasn't turned up and cannot get through to restaurant!!

Having just moved back to Saltash I thought I'd try this place out, as it's closer to home than the places in Plymouth I'd usually order from. Ordered a take away online, ordering was straight forward and there is £5 off your first order when you register. All good so far. Collected the food at the allocated time, it was ready to go. Got home and took everything out of the bag. Two onion dips were missing and there was mango chutney in place of the red sauce. The dips were little larger than a mini Petri dish. Disappointing but not the end of the world. The samosas were small and there were only two of them - should there have been more? Certainly not worth £4. The tikka meat was good, though, and the poppadums themselves were fresh and crispy. On to the main course. Pilau rice was clumpy, seemingly prepared in advance and reheated to send out. The main dishes were amongst the most flavourless Indian dishes we've ever tasted. The Bhuna is described in the website as 'thoroughly garnished' and 'one of the most tasteful dishes' - both completely false descriptions. As too was the website's claim that the dish was medium spiced. I've had spicier Kormas! The Rogan Josh was equally disappointing, improved slightly with a huge dose of chilli flakes from the spice cupboard at home. Perhaps the chef's special dishes may be better? No, not really. The Hatkara chicken was devoid of spice, tasting of tinned tomatoes with a hint of lemon. Truly disappointing. To round off the order, the naan breads were average. In conclusion, very disappointing. As you may be able to tell from my review, we shan't be trying them again. In fact I'm tempted to request a refund. Had we been served those dishes whilst sat in the restaurant, we wouldn't have been taking the credit card out of the pocket At least we had some cold Leffe to provide some flavour!

Good place, great food but they won't provide you Wi-Fi as it's for their staff only. And I find that a shame cos their restaurant is in a dead zone and can't get any signal at all, so it would be wise to let people use the Wi-Fi.

Fabulous food and very friendly staff.

We booked this restaurant a week in advance and arrived on time. Although the restaurant was half full we were asked to wait 5 minutes whilst our table was made. Having got seated a short while later, after 10 minutes we had to ask to get some drinks and standard poppadoms order. In this time we noticed that the table cloth was stained too. Though the staff were friendly, it seemed a distinct lack of them. Eventually we ordered and the time for the food to arrive was fine. Most of the people had left by the time we were finishing our food which was very nice, but it felt like you had to make the first move for anything, rather than someone coming to the table. As I say, food quality was good, it was the lack of staff, slow service and a dirty tablecloth didn't want me to rush back.

Came here as a last minute thing after my sister(who lives local) had rated the place. And it was amazing. My husband likes to think himself a curry expert and he said best curry he ever tasted

Excellent service and food. I would highly recommend the garlic chilli chicken and chicken jalfrezi. They were able to accommodate for a large group of eight adults and several children at short notice. Jameel was a fantastic waiter and we had great discussions with him about touring the area. If we are ever back in the area and want halal food, we'll definitely come back again!

Excellent tasty restaurant in Saltash, Cornwall that serves Halal meat! The dishes are genuine, indigenous, no holds barred, offering a real spicy flavor the way it's meant to. The staff are highly courteous & helpful, even offer their local knowledge of Cornwall sightseeing to the weary traveler. There is a free car park right in front (well you have to turn right through) which makes this an irresistible dining choice in Saltash & nearby locations. Highly recommended.

Ordered a delivery, turned up perfectly on time. Food tasted amazing. Naans were perfect. Poppadoms were so nice fresh. The whole family loved it. Will definitely be ordering again, soon.

The traffic was heavy so I'm not too bothered about the lateness. I called the restaurant and they were polite and honest. This is the 2nd time we've ordered from them and we can't fault the food. It's more authentic and full of flavour. You can actually see and taste the herbs and spices. The menu is much better than most as it's smaller and more appealing. Also they don't rely on food colouring and too much ghee just traditional authentic Indian flavours. We will be using them again and we can highly recommend.

Being vegan and ordering takeaway can sometimes feel like a gamble. STR are extremely clear as to what is what is not vegan. If you're vegan, I recommend here.
