Just wanted to say how much we loved the ambiance at your restaurant, it was so inviting! The food was delicious and the staff were absolutely fantastic, Truly made our evening so special.

Had three takeaways now and tried three different curry’s , madras , pathia , vindaloo and mrs had the butter chicken . All very good currys and mushroom rice is splendid too my go to Indian now .

We had a fantastic Indian meal on Christmas Day this year at our favourite local Indian restaurant! Great atmosphere and fantastic food as always at Dil Tandoori- our first Christmas eating away from home and I would highly recommend! In over 10 years the food has always been great but not this time. Ordered two different curries - the chicken in both was tough and dry and so heavily salted it was pretty much inedible. Very disappointed.....

We have used the TIL Tandori for many years and never been disappointed. Perfectly presented, fresh flavoursome food. Would never consider any where else. Once you have your first order, you doubt you go else where, perfect thank you.

I have ordered from dill tandoori a lot of times and every time it has been lovely food,we always enjoy it up untill tonight,i am so disappointed the food was very bland with hardly any tase,it's a lot of money for something we didn't enjoy,so disappointed we won't be ordering again 😢

Although the food was amazing, my delivery Driver Aftab was amazing, I sent him to the wrong address 🤦‍♀️ but he came to the right address with no problems at all! He was very polite and was dressed so immaculate.

Very nice! However I spent over £80 and still didn't get a free bottle of coke :( very expensive so I won't be ordering from here to often.

We went on a very quiet weekday night, food top notch & service excellent. Like the idea you have to take your own alcohol.

The Dil has been our Indian restaurant for years but jeeeez has the prices gone up, may have to rethink our go to Indian ?

Was expecting our delivery an hour ago! Said it was on its way 45 minutes ago but still no sign. Tried calling the restaurant 3 times and left a voicemail. No call back and no delivery

Sadly the Dil seems to be under new ownership and the prices have gone sky high. Yes you can still bring your own alcohol, but having eaten at this restaurant for more years than I can remember, I don’t think I will be returning any time soon. The food was ok, although portions seemed stingy. The service was lacklustre, not very welcoming.

Why has my same order from December gone up by £12

Usually one of our favourite takeaways to use but considering the price has sky-rocketed, the quality has dropped, the kebabs were old and dry, the chicken was tough, we usually get free poppadoms thrown in and considering we spent over £50 I thought we might with this order, didn't happen, a shame as the food used to be quality

Awful. Bland curries, hardly any meat and the meat that is there is full of gristle. My lamb bhuna was like a thick paste and no flavour. Hardly any meat in the keema naan bread. Also left out a curry from the order, which they did send out fairly quick. Honestly the worst curry I've ever had I'm sorry. Won't be ordering from again.

Ordered from here tonight until I got told the price £40.25 for two curries two nans 1 rice & two bhajis. Couldn’t cancel quick enough even after being told they can apply a one off £10 discount. Never again

Delivered 1hr 10mins late (in total 2h 10mins after order placed). Order placed at 19:23, ETA was originally 20:10-20:20, was happy with that being prime time Saturday evening. But the delivery time kept moving back, after chasing multiple times and asking for money back our order arrived. Food was nice but cold, but we had gone well past the point of hunger by time it arrived. Disappointed.

Food was great but it was a bit noisy you couldn't realy chat at the table. You take your own alcohol.

I've added the photos of what we ordered and tbh it was poor all round. There was no flavour in the Rogan Josh (pictured 1st) the Vindaloo had 5 pieces of meat and the rest was potatoes. The Sag had no depth of flavour, and the Dahl tasted dusty all in all we won't be going back . The only thing I could taste was the rice which was home made with a star anise and toasted cardamom. I think the photos tell the story watery Rogan no fresh herbs or chilli the tomatoes that were so finely chopped they were unrecognisable , just all round disappointed. The only thing I liked was the way they checked I received all that was ordered. Other than that I was surprised it was even busy .

Food portions have got smaller, i e the meat food quality is not the same as usual. Maybe a new cook

Only half my order delivered in an hour and a half of my order when i can walk it in 5/6 mins , Never again ,£25 for half an order , Not even a free mint sauce or veg salad.

The food is great but portions are really small all sauces and not enough meat the containers are even smaller not really happy the money we paid for the food we got been having take out from the dill for years because food is great but it’s not good value for money not like it used to be used to fill very full but now we don’t and used to have food over the portions are really small think I will try somewhere else now such a shame.

I ordered food from here on Monday from Deliveroo, and have awful stomach pain and digestive issues now, 24 hours on. Not ordering from here again, not worth harming your digestive system this bad!!!

I must say very good food it's a modern Indian restaurant so bit noisy only small thing prices in menu differ to those on the bill bit dearer about a pound on each item but their prices are cheap.will be back and bring your own drink.

Had to ring the restaurant to find out what had happened to my order, they weren't very helpful or understanding, the food was delivered 35 minutes past the expected time, I understand a little bit late with some updates but I didn't receive any, it was only till I contacted just eat to send me a text message I received some information, upon delivery driver was very rude and food was cold

I ordered a chicken curry the other night and it was absolutely terrible it was just full of coconut.. and the chicken tikka starter was very burnt. I will not be ordering from this restaurant again the food is bad.

Lovely food, great portions, reasonably priced. The meat was succulent and tender and the salad was fresher than at some places.

Was not very hot in temperature, my wife had the tandoori king prawn masala dish at £14.50 and there were only 5 prawns in the dish so not very impressed with that, I had the chicken jalfrezi which was good.

First delivery didn’t have full order, had to request for this to be delivered again and received this after another half hour wait. Food was great though.

Our first time ordering here and will definitely order again. Food was delicious not like all the other Indian takeaways in Basildon. We generally don’t order Indian takeaways from around here as they are always greasy and just not enjoyable but we decided to give this place a try and I’m so pleased we did. Will definitely be ordering again.

Its a favourite that a friend shared with us. The food is so tasty. Me and the wife definitely recommend it. We come here whenever we get the chance

Had a fantastic takeaway 2weeks ago and thought we would order again. Order arrived late and was cold. One of the dishes was burnt. We will try again, maybe it was because its a bank holiday.

I must say had this for years and normally have some left over smaller portions and the chefs special we always have only had one prawn very disappointed so sorry not happy will not be having a Indian takeout again so disappointed also didn’t get the free bottle of coke with order this has happened a few times now

All the years we have been too the Dil, Never had a bad meal/take away but last weekend food was not good, no flavour, no spice ect ect just not good paratah burnt. Really disappointed 😞

Very clean, good service. Food was average. Small venue with no heating or music. Also be prepared they have no drinks licence which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Only leaving 3 stars due to nearly an hour & half wait for delivery but apart from that, lovely food, will order again just hope next order doesn’t take that long for delivery.

Have been to the Dil dozens of times and multiple takeaways but last night may be the last. Waited 2 and a half hours for meals to arrive and then only 5 out of 6 turned up. The sixth one arrived as the other five finished. No apology, no reduction. Shameful and very disappointing. Another table of 12 walked out after 2 hours because no food was delivered

Very disappointing, we order from the Dil regularly and although the food is delicious the delivery time was a joke! We ordered at 6pm and it came at half 8!!!!! The food was also a little cold this time so really disappointed with this order.

Recently moved to the area, 6th curry house I have tried and this is 100% the best. My search is now over and won’t be going elsewhere … 10/10
