The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

Went to the raj last night and it was exactly what we wanted. The welcome was friendly. The staff were attentive but not rushing to get you out. In fact we probably sat chatting for too long after the meal but weren’t made to feel like it mattered. The food was fresh, looked good and tasted better. I chatted to several other groups in the restaurant and they all loved the raj.

40+ booked.food pre ordered so that meals could be served together. Arrived 7.30. starter at 9.00. left at 11.00 with no sign of my main course coming. Owner should have cancelled booking as obviously no staff on the day.

We had the most amazing time at Periwala yesterday evening. We were celebrating my son’s birthday and the staff were so accommodating with the cake I had and they gifted my son a box of chocolates which he loved, it was so kind. The staff were amazing, the food was delicious and I cannot fault it! This was our second time visiting Periwala and we look forward to many more!

Takeaway took over an hour to arrive. The food was nice and had good vegetarian options but it was not good value for money. Won't be ordering from here again.

First time ordering home delivery. Used to eat in the restaurant when it was open, which was good. Home delivery is very basic. No complimentary poppadoms. My meat was very dry and overcooked. The meal was edible, but nothing special. Won't bother again.

I rate this takeaway as 1 of the best in a 10 mile radius . Growing up and going to school in Rusholme Manchester around around the curry mile and spending a lot of time both working and holidaying in INDIA,i feel i can class myself as a connoisseur when it comes to knowing the diffrence between an excellent curry and a poor run of the mill one.

Went for a family meal with a toddler. We ordered the both the chicken and veggie momos and crispy aubergine, which was lovely, to start. The momos were water logged and not really what I would call monos but chicken kebabs in momo wraps. The mains were ridiculously chilli. To the point where all 4 adults were unable to eat much of the food. My dad eats green chilli's with every meal and even he found the food chilli. We ordered the chicken, lamb pots and aa veg biriyani, which was also ridiculously spicey. We ordered mild veg rice which the veg was burnt. Such a shame that the food was inedible.

I was randomly looking for somewhere to buy dinner from when I moved to the area 4 weeks ago and discovered this beautiful place with delicious food. I have been a fan since then and recommend that everyone that come to Benfleet.

I recently ordered a takeaway from Saffron, and had an unforgettable experience. I ordered the Sylheti Lamb Korai, and it was absolutely amazing. The lamb was cooked to perfection ,tender and packed with flavour - every bite was a delight. I also tried the chicken tikka, which was incredibly soft and cooked just right. It had the perfect balance of spice, not too mild but with enough to make it exciting. The overall experience was fantastic - from the quality of food to the delivery service. I highly recommend Saffron to anyone looking for authentic flavourful Indian dishes. I can't wait to return! 👍

Fantastic food and service. Especially loved the manchurian as a main course. The vindaloo with jafal heat is amazing if you love spice like me. Good prices.
