Won a free meal.Must say with the extra’s paid for ,it was a really lovely meal.Will definitely go again.My friend & I had a great meal.She had been before but I hadn’t.Was a great experience

Good food but absolutely awful staff and manager. Wrote down sagbahji instead of sagpaneer so called up then said we weren’t getting it since it wasn’t on the order that they misheard. They then passed the phone onto the manager or another worker and got told to go down there right now and he was going to set my house on fire. If I could upload a video of the recording I would but I can only add photos. Make sure you talk very very clear over the phone or they will mess up your order and won’t give you the correct food. Be very aware of the staff and manager of this place. Absolutely awful

I’ve been to most Indian restaurants in the area and this is by far the best in town and in the south east. We have been numerous times now and every visit is just as good (if not better) than our first. It’s hard to believe the previous review as the hygiene in here is OUTSTANDING! The service is excellent, nothing is ever too much trouble and most importantly the food is incredible! Thanks Masala Lounge, can’t wait for our experience!! :-)

Chicken was raw, I’ve not left the toilet since being there. Throwing up, saw a rat run through the restaurant at one point. Absolutely disgusting, unhygienic this is by far the scummiest curry house around. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, rude staff and terrible food. Filthy restaurant full of dead bugs on the window-sill.

Food was delicious recommend naan bread crunchy outside and soft inside just perfect. Good value for money and curries delicious

I don't normally leave reviews but this time i had to. This by far was The best Indian meal we have ever had.

One of the worst curries iv ever had. Curry was bland , no favour , onion bhajis portion was small. Tables around us were complaining as well. Don’t go here

First time visit to this restaurant, really disappointed in the food and the subsequent dealings with restaurant on feedback given. This is the worst curry I have ever had, the butter chicken was in a thin sauce, the chicken was not very fresh tasting either! Lack of presentation of the food - poor quality overall. We won’t be returning………

Had a meal here and the chicken was really bad and chewy ! When asked if ok they said they would give me plain chicken! I refused as didn’t want pain chicken, at the end I said that meal what’s not good and told me I had left 1 piece of chicken! But had actually left all of the chicken, was really rude and asking other customers if their chicken was ok when they hadn’t had any chicken !!!! I would definitely not go back here !! Rude !!!!!!!

Gents toilets. Needs a proper deep clean. Cobwebs and dirty dusty pipes. Trays of uncovered condiments left nearby. Hey guys, if we the customers can see the poor state of your public bathroom areas, food left (in the corridor, poppudom stuff) uncovered outside then our confidence in you kitchen hygenie leaves a lot to be desired. If you can't keep clean bathrooms, folk will question your kitchen.

Not one to usually leave reviews, but I feel Masala lounge deserves a 5 star. We’ve eaten here multiple times and also taken friends. Its been consistently very good, the service is good, the standard is good and it’s very fairly priced.

we have been ordering from here for years. the last few months, the food and service has gone down hill. Everytime we order, we ask for my husbands food to be in a separate bag as his curry is really spicy and leaks everywhere. the last 3 times this hasn't happened. last night it exploded all over my rice, naan, and the bajis. these were then not consumable as I can't eat spice. to top if off, I ordered a vegetable korma and got a vegetable dansak. we called to have it amended and was told "it's fine, it's vegetable, there's no meat, you can eat it." it is very different on the spice level as apose to the korma I ordered they then got a korma out to me which the vegetables were not cooked through and it was very runny. we requested a refund from just eat and they have refused it, even with photographic evidence to prove my food was contaminated.

Superb restaurant, recently refurbished, looks fantastic. Food excellent, great portions, hot fresh food, service great and lovely atmosphere. Nice small restaurant so booking advisable. Delicious chicken korma, pilau rice and peshwari naan. My favourite. Probably the best traditional indian I've had in Sussex! Be back soon. Nb had a delivery from here too, excellent!

A little gem hidden away in a quiet part of Sussex. Recently refurbished and looks amazing. Food is cooked to perfection. Staff are always so friendly and accommodating. Definitely worth a visit, but failing that they deliver as well.

What a little gem of an Indian Restaurant and Takeaway. As only visiting one night & being a Saturday decided on a rare dine in curry. Staff very friendly, great service. Food was delicious. Garlic Naan bread, onion Bhajis x 2, plain pilau rice, vegetable pilau rice, chicken Xacuti, chicken Dharjiling Special, so very tasty & plenty of chicken. Staff very friendly, not over bearing. Although not particularly busy in the restaurant, takeaway was popular. If it was my local, I’d visit or order regularly. Definitely worth it. .

Went for banquet night special. Lovely food, good choice, generous portions. Chicken tikka chaat puri, Chicken tikka masala, saag aloo, yummy. Naan and rice light and tasty. Excellent attentive service as always. Really enjoyed. Definitely going again.

One of the worst experiences in a long time. DO NOT HAVE A CURRY HERE! There are lots of places locally that provide better food, better customer service! We did not like the food. Sorry it was not nice and we like curry! Besides our poor food experience, they would not agree to any return on our cost. Unbelievable .. so our recommendation is DONT GO THERE.

Ordered takeaway. Picked up and returned home to find wrong order been given. Eventually got correct order 40 minutes later, missing one meal which never came. Daughter had to go without dinner. £50+ spent on cold meal for 2. Resturant unhelpful. Never eat there again, shocking

Food wasn’t overly great and the delivery driver was very rude and complained he had no change when he knew we was paying cash, so I didn’t end up with no change because he was throwing his hands around in the air, first time trying after being recommended and will not be going back. With rude staff like that you’ll end up with no business.

We had an amazing meal and come here frequently too - by far our favourite Indian restaurant in the area. Friendly staff, great food and reasonably priced. We come here all the time and are consistently very happy with it so don’t really understand the negative reviews on here. Shame.

Toooooo spicy. I notice this restaurant has very good reviews and very bad. Unfortunately we went on a bad night. The staff were completely uninterested in offering a good service. The worst thing was that the food was too spicy really unpleasant to eat. When I mentioned it to the server he argued with me. Sorry we won’t be back just too 🥵 and 🌶 for us.

now i have to update my review..had a takeaway last night and it was the worst one i have had.horrible chicken with no taste,smallest tasteless onion bhaji's.. i dont know if they have changed owners but you really need to up your game or you will have more loyal customers like me going somewhere else..i have been a customer from the day Raz opened up..not anymore....i have better things to spend £26 on than rubbish food..

Having stood in the cold waiting for delivery40 mins late no call.onion bhaji smaller than a stuffing ball dansak runny no taste and chicken strange smell hard and tasteless guess after many years using here last night was the last time have had a couple of strange tastes before but this was the last straw

First visit to Masala lounge following an abandoned visit to a nearby restaurant, it was clearly meant to be as this was such a good discovery. Really nice clean and classy decor with plenty of room between tables, friendly and welcoming staff and a really good menu. The food was exceptional, we look forward to revisiting and working our way through the menu

Friendly helpful staff, food was lovely.

Took well over an hr to arrive despite being about 200yrds away. Price was wrong, wasn't given a total when ordering and was charged extra for an item that was swapped but never informed. No salad or sauce included at £30 plus order. Very bland greedy service. I don't rate this place at all. Clearly customer service isn't at the top of their priorities. Maximum cost with minimum results. Disappointing regarding this was the 1st Indian meal I've had in 4yrs. I think I'll stick to Chinese. Much better value. Not even a slice of lemon with the bhajis which tasted bland.

Very nice meal, in pleasant surroundings with good distancing between tables and friendly staff who wore masks, making it feel a safe experience as well. I was very happy to have chosen to have my first eat in Friday night curry here in the week lockdown finished. A very popular eating locale, with every table occupied by the time we came to leave and takeaways constantly going for delivery or being collected at the same time. The Prawn Passanda and the Peshawari Nans were particularly tasty.

I know we ordered takeaway on probably the busiest night of the year (NYE) but I didnt expect to wait this long and not be able to contact the restaurant or them respond in any way. When I went on just eat to order it said 35-50 minutes for delivery (6pm), by the time i ordered it said expected at 7.30pm. At 8 no food so tried to call but always engaged. Went on their facebook page and they said they had turned off their phones but could be contacted via messenger so sent them a message. 8.30 still no food and ne reply to my message so another one sent also went onto just eat and they supposedly got in touch with the resaurant who adjusted the delivery time to 9.10pm. 9.30 still no food and no reply to messages. went back on to just eat and had the option to ask for a partial refund due to the delay and they said Masala lounge would get back to me. By doing this the option to cancel the order disappeared. It is now 10.35, and as i write this it has just arrived. During the evening I have been on various facebook pages talking to others that have also ordered from here and many are experiencing the same although i know of at least one person who ordered an hour later than me and it arrived and hour and a half ago! There is no way I will order from here again, I understand NYE is busy but 4 and a half hours is ridiculous, if you cant get orders out in a decent time dont take them!

Had a lovely meal here tonight 28/10/30 with my wife and granddaughter and her boyfriend.Second time of eating here and it was up to the same standard as last time food was excellent and service prompt and friendly and welcoming .WELL DONE TO ALL AT MASALA LOUNGE

I don't like to heap too much praise on one place but, this was without a doubt the best curry I've had in years. I was a little put off at first, when I saw the banquet night didn't offer as many courses as certain restaurants near me. However, the quality of the starter, main course and rice soon made me forget that. Even the staff were friendly and enthusiastic. The only negative thing I can say is that there wasn't enough rice for me. I will order two next time. :)

Excellent food in an unassuming curry house - this place should not be that good. Keema Aloo and Chicken Nagah particularly noteworthy.

Take away ordered over the counter. Got home. Received incorrect dish. Called and told it was my fault as I ordered the dish. I absolutely didn’t. Took it back and was snatched out of my hand without a word. Bought the correct dish home and wasn’t even cooked / finished as it usually is.I’m sorry but I wouldn’t return now and it was my absolute favorite.

The food is just the best! I dont mind waiting a bit when eating in as all the food is made fresh to order and you can tell! its a cut above the rest when it comes to quality! I've been coming here for a few years now and food is spot on every time(especially thr lamb!)

Recommended by friends -not our closest but wanted to try. Excellent food & great selection of specials to try if you are like us & always order the same thing!. Friendly delivery service by James and everything was piping hot. Really impressed and would definitely use again and highly recommend.

Great food so long as you’re not wanting good service and are not hungry. Having booked, table was not ready when we arrived. They didn’t want to take our food order until they’d done drinks and poppadums - clearly a stalling tactic. We waited over an hour and a quarter for our meal - while watching bags of takeaways go out. The kitchen is clearly overstretched. This is the second time this has happened - on the previous occasion, people who had arrived after us walked out due to poor service - we did wait patiently. We were given a discount on that occasion.But we will or be so patient again. We will not be returning.

Went to the Masala last night with my granddaughter and her boyfriend and had a superb meal. Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful and service was second to none. Food tasty and served in a pleasant manner. Well done Masala Lounge !

First visit since lockdown, brilliant as always, nice to be able to sit down and enjoy the restaurant again rather then just have takeaway. Will be returning regularly again now. Food still great portions great overall, favourite place to eat out. The staff are now firm friends.

Brilliant menu great service and a quick takeaway

After a few beers next door at the Standard P alehouse, the meal here was very pleasant. To be fair, the good company was the bonus, I can't remember what I ate or drank, but it was a good night out.

Just felt like an inconvenience to telephone take away customers. Long wait. Toilets dirty, mens' had no toilet paper. One waiter dealing with everything. No conversation...left wine bottle in bucket without ice. Did not pour it!!! I wanted to leave but husband made me try food. It was good and hot but everything else about this place spoilt the dining experience. Would only recommend a take away!!! 😢

Great service, best in Littlehampton - Worthing area.

Been with 2 different couples last few weeks. First time, the food was outstandingly good despite the fact it was really busy on a Tuesday night.Second visit was last night (Friday 8th), not so busy but food still very good and served on hot plates.Bit of confusion over the ‘house wine’. I was convinced last time I ordered house dry it was fine but was told next time that only medium dry available? Whatever, the wine was still nice.Bit of feedback: overhead lights are very bright so doesn’t give cosy ambience; maybe dim the lights for evening service?

We have used the restaurant several times now for delivery's. Excellent service on the phone and very good consistent standard of food.. The xacuti is well worth a try. Looking forward to eating at the restaurant.

Received our takeaway meal last night, delivery man was very rude, literally no words spoken, apart from stating price. Unwrapping food was disappointed with the amount of oils that had spilled over in the bag which seeped into other items, thankfully the food was acceptable

use this place to eat in or takeaway quite often once or twice a week for the past 5 years cannot fault it.food is very good, service good. nice people.

We have just had the Banquet Meal deal, which consisted of a starter each, a main meal each, a side dish, a Peshawari naan, and vegetable rice. Good portion sizes and as we are not big eaters a Doggy bag to bring home so another meal tomorrow night.Lovely flavours and served hot on well warmed plates.The decor was a little tired and dated and could be a bit more cheerful, but the staff were attentive and friendly and very helpful.The toilets could do with a lick of paint, and a bit of decoration, but that is just me being picky!

Service was ok. Got a little annoyed with the waiter, leaning over the table instead of just walking round. Popadoms came out quickly as did the starters. Then a very long wait for the mains. My wife and I both had king prawns in our (different) dishes, both were very over cooked.

Forgot a dish,all the food tasted of salt.2nd worst Indian I have had.they are meant to take taste card but don't. Only positive was I liked the dishes the food came in.
