This is a great curry house. It was the first in LB when we visited. Over the years we have moved around but are firmly back.

What lovely (takeaway) meal we had yesterday. We have missed our Saturday takeaways due to cost cutting, M&S Indians are great but not quite the same. Anyway due to a new menu appearing through the letterbox we were impressed by the dishes available, some very interesting ones there for sure! So we decided it was time to order. Well, I collected and the food was amazing. Really really tasty! Cant wait to make another order. Well done New Spice Lounge. Btw Spice lounge with previous owners, was the first meal we had here the day we moved to LB in 1984! Been an irregulat user since.

Brilliant service and excellent food all for a good price. The servers were polite and attentive and the food was absolutely delicious the entire group enjoyed the meal.

This place is the best curry house in Leighton hands down. I've lived here over 15 years. Takeaway and restaurant five stars. Friendly family owned. Brilliant service, great value for money.

I visit Leighton Buzzard a few times a year, every time we visit we always go to this restaurant. The food is always good, The staff always helpful and always having a laugh and joke with you. The value for money is excellent and good portion sizes. It’s generally busy in here so booking is advisable. Lots of the local people go here. We will be visiting again in a few months and needless to say will be going back for curry . Good job guys keep up the good work.

The food here is absolutely amazing our second visit better than our first although that was also amazing. The staff are so lovely and can’t do enough for you. When I looked on here as I’m a massive trip advisor fan, and was shocked to see the negative reviews, which made me suspicious as these people have only made one review so are not trusted to make an honest review, but more out to try & ruin business. Honestly don’t focus on the negative reviews as I truly feel they are false. My review is from the heart and it’s a great restaurant, with great food and staff. Thank you new Spice lounge for another amazing experience whenever we visit Leighton Buzzard. Will back in a few months.

I’d heard great reviews from friends, but this was my first visit. The food was super delicious, the staff were really attentive, I’ll be back for sure. 100% recommend. And Jay the owner is such a sweetheart 🥰 Thanks for a lovely evening ❤️

Lovely unique dishes, full of flavour, great service!

This was probably the worst curry I’ve ever had . Waited nearly 2 hours for railway lamb and got 3 lamb chops as tough as an old wellie with about 3 bites of meat in total . Drinks weren’t even quick either . We’ve had the Holiday from hell

Just enjoyed a lovely meal at the New Spice Lounge. Pleasantly busy but the service was good and we didn't have to wait too long for our food. I strongly recommend the Tawa (chicken or lamb!) - not too hot, but nicely spiced. A great restaurant, with good food and friendly and attentive staff.

Afraid to say I have recently visited this restaurant and left extremely unhappy. The food was ok, however the customer service was extremely poor! Was made to feel very uncomfortable. Never have been made to feel like this in a restruant and certainly wouldn’t expect it from any establishment. Won’t be attending again.

Left a Google review and he assumed he know where I was from ? Bit of a threat there food was terrible and staff are rude I’ve screenshotted his lovely reply and will be taking it further

Was in here the other night with friends and family the staff was been very rude to several customers the service was absolutely appaling, honest opinion I’ve had better food from local takeaway and it’s a third or the price of avoid this place and it’s ill mannered bad mouthed staff at all costs !!!

Just had the best meal at New Spice Lounge. I cant recommend this restaurant enough. The staff are wonderful and the food is always excellent. We have experienced dine in and take away and have never been disaplointed.

I had king prawns and they was a bad smell off them I sent them back they give me a curry I had food poisoning for 3 straight and the stath was not one bit friendly

We went to new spice lounge in Leighton buzzard and customer skills was horrendous and we wasn’t aloud to dine as my friend who was gay and staffed seemed to be homophobic would stay miles clear of this place at all cost

Myself and my partner have been coming here for years, and we have never been disappointed. I have tried the majority of dishes on the menu and each one is as good as the next. The service is always fantastic.

I ordered a range of dishes including 2 pilau rices. I received 1 steamed rice instead of the 2 x pilau. When I called to explain the mistake, the guy on the phone was very polite and said they would send a replacement pilau. However when the delivery guy arrived he asked me to pay extra! Not the customer service I would have expected when the mistake was theirs. When I called back to ask for an explanation, he said I needed to pay, but why when they had already admitted their mistake (he never said I needed to pay for their error)? Very poor for my first and last order. Poor customer experience.

We were visiting LB to see family during the day, so decided to stay the night. After a few drinks we decided on a curry and found ourselves in The New Spice Lounge. It was extremely busy and we were grateful to get a table, they seated us and immediately gave us menus and a drink. The service was impeccable with a great atmosphere. The food was outstanding and impressive as we are always cautious about eating curry in different area and environment. My husband had chicken, naga balti & I had chicken naga jalfrezi & was delicious. An absolute must try and a shame it’s 2hrs from us as we would definitely be regulars. Thank you The New Spice for looking after us so well.

Worst experience ever I found hair in my food and I was vomiting all night. I think I had food poisoning food was also freezing. Will never go there again

This place was recommended and I wish I hadn’t listened, on arrival the restaurant was cold and we had to wear our coats. The waiter was grumpy and unfriendly. Took ages to take our order and the food took nearly an hour to arrive. Some of the dishes were bland and lacked seasoning. Not even a goodbye on departure.

Have to say massively disappointing takeaway tonight. Used this restaurant a few times and it’s always been fine but tonight the poppadoms were so stale they were inedible and clearly been cooked a long time ago! The chicken in the main dish tasted rubbery and cheap. Not pleasant and won’t be rushing back anytime soon.

First visit and a Friday night; quiet at first, but became busy. Excellent food served at just the right pace. Staff seemed very capable and unflustered, even when the restaurant was getting busy. An excellent first visit and highly recommended.

I love this place for food. It’s always a really lovely night out. It’s one of my favourites and I’m fussy about my Indian food! It adds to the wonderful place that Leighton Buzzard is. Fab service. Always.

Eating curry is like making love to a beautiful woman. Poppadums are the foreplay, essential and not to be rushed. At the Spice Lounge the poppadums kept coming, and so did we. By the time the main course came we were in a state of ecstasy. The main course was pleasant but over too soon. Dessert consisted of a Brandy-Pernod, apparently the local specialty, YUM DELICIOUS! All in all, the best Indian experience I’ve had since I read Salman Rushdie

Had a takeaway tonight main course to die for Inc rice but veggies curry very small portion and potato/spinach could be better. Over all good experience

So disappointed yet again last takeaway hour late this one missing a dish then when it arrived totally tasteless and watery had meals in there one great one waited an hour to order before we left . Wouldn’t recommend.

Excellent Vindaloo very tender lamb! I really like the lemon and nutty rice. Food arrive hot with all containers sealed, they even gave me a free beer 👍 top guys!

Really poor experience and service. Placed an order at 5:15, called restaurant 5 times and each time they said the delivery driver is on his way. At 8pm called for the 5th time and they said they are still cooking. Staff were very rude on the phone and didn’t apologise once. Had to cancel order at 8pm as had no faith it would arrive. I wouldn’t use the restaurant again. The whole experience was very upsetting and ruined a nice day with my family visiting.
