I recently visited TV, and I have to say, it was not a pleasant experience. While the food was okay—nothing memorable but decent enough—the service left a lot to be desired. Our waiter seemed uninterested and was rude from the start, which set a terrible tone for the entire meal. Basic manners were missing, and any question or request seemed like a huge inconvenience to him. The atmosphere didn’t help either; the place was dimly lit in a way that felt more unsettling than cozy. I didn't feel comfortable, and it wasn't an environment where you’d want to spend much time. Overall, the combination of mediocre food, unprofessional service, and an uncomfortable setting made this a place I won’t be returning to or recommending to others.

The most delicious and authentic curry in London. A true gem, tucked away from the eyes of the hordes. Go to Tandy V, and never go anywhere else for your curry ever again.

I had the take away menu deal, which included: a starter, main course, side dish and nan or rice for £13. Overall, the food was delicious and plentiful. Amazing value for money! Something you don't really get much in London these days...

I am of Indian origin and tandoori villa has always been my go to. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, it’s home cooking without any thrills. Yes I love my Aunties homemade sag however she is in a Canada so I order from the villa occasionally. The staff have been working there since I moved to Ealing in 1989, probably even before and although the place needs a make over I still like popping in for a take away.

The food was decent, but your stomach will instantly regret it (the less I detail the better). The price is reasonable, but the service and atmosphere whilst unique, is not in a good way. I would never recommend this place and will hopefully never go back.

Just bang average in every regard. Have been an Ealinger longer than time itself and never tried this place. It hasn’t got a licence and you can bring your own beer or wine at no corkage. The offie round the corner does 3 Cobra for £9 which is convenient (very convenient a cynic would say!) The food was unremarkable, which included a butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, along with a couple of rices and naans. It came to nearly £45 for two people, which was a bit steep considering no booze was bought. Staff seemed disinterested too. Wouldn’t hurry back. It was only a stopgap whilst Monty’s on South Ealing Road was closed. Hopefully it opens again soon 🙏🏻

Dined in for a special occasion recently. It felt like the food had changed from our last visit but we still enjoyed our meal. Fed many people for a good price given rising costs lately. The restaurant is small and so is the staff, so service tends to be on the slow side but it's a quaint little place with a warm atmosphere. Limited drinks menu so BYOB.

This is one of the worst Indian meals, I’ve had in a while. Given the tired interior, I thought the only way this place could survive would be with great food, however our curries, starters and naan bread were all bland, not fresh and oily. We ordered two of the “Chef’s Special” curry’s - but they tasted exactly the same, the veg was not fresh at all (the mushrooms probably came from a tin) and were spicy but not flavourful. To top the meal off, the next day we both came down with upset stomachs - safe to say would not recommend!

Went here based on positive reviews; bad move. Picked up a takeaway with quite a lot of dishes. This is the old style of Indian curry house where things like garlic naan are bought in ready prepared and heated up, no fresh garlic in sight, where one gravy is the base for all sauces, where no fresh spices are toasted then used to make a fresh and good quality curry. If you like Indian restaurants as most were in the 70’s and 80’s and you don’t care about fresh and flavoursome, this is for you. Otherwise use Patri, Papyaya, Kathmandu or Zayka. I will say it is cheap compared to others so if you just want a big feed then it may also work for you.

I have eaten once in there which the service was good though they don’t sell alcohol but you can bring your own. If I could give Tandoori Villa zero stars tonight then I would!!! We have had take away from them before and always been pleased with the food and service but tonight was completely different. After a crappy year we were looking forward to our NYE take away but when I gave them our address they told me they were ‘too busy’ to deliver to us!!! Our house is a 5 minute drive away!!! Terrible treatment of loyal customers on a special night of the year. I told them that that they’d lost a customer and they rang me back again to double check the address before confirming again that they were too busy tonight to deliver to us. What a joke. I have heard bad things about this place but always ignored them as our experiences had been good up until now. Never going back.

Not what it used to be. Received not fully cooked chicken tonight, rung them up to say, also sent them pictures of the chicken through Facebook messenger. They asked me if I wanted to bring it to the restaurant to show them and then have a replacement. I’d already finished so didn’t take that offer. Then he asked me what I wanted him to do about it, he then just offered me 1 free curry dish next time, if I remind them. He said well it should be cooked as it’s been cooked today, haven’t a clue what that means!! And no sorry! I don’t think that’s a good apology, but hey ho.More than one fully uncooked piece but won’t let me upload all.

The best takeaway Indian meal i have had for past 25 years in London. I am very fussy with my takeaways, foods they taste differently when served in restaurants but when it comes to Takeaway tastes and texture changes somehow. But Tandoori Villa has nailed it on the spot, i am not much of a takeaway person but been loving in on weekly basis for months now. In terms of price noone can beat them. When said so, he said only they insist this to ASIAN people... When told its racist , the argument went up and then he shouted get out to all of us including the kids. That's was too much , and we insisted an apology..Only saving grace was the other staff came later, apologised on his behalf, and came back without having dinner.. This is a restaurant in steep decline. I thought I’d treat myself to a takeaway from somewhere that once was good. So I ordered online at 8:15 for an 8:45 collection. I finally received my food at 21:20 as I was behind 2 other takeaways, both who had waited almost 2 hours. Together with the two other takeaway orders waiting , we numbered more than the number of tables seated, so there’s no excuse that they were busy. Given that we couldn’t have a beer while we waited either, the chip shop would have been a better idea. As I left one of the tables complained that they had been waiting for an age for their food. As a bring your own beer venue it’s quite nice, but probably best to eat before you visit! 0/10

Oh my god.......I am still in shock how bad the food was from this restaurant. I had never been there before so decided to order a take-away and will never make that same mistake again! We ordered 2 mains, 4 side dishes and some rice and nans. All dishes I ordered were vegetarian. The vegetable curry was weak and bland. It had no flavour and was disgusting. The 2nd main which we ordered was Korai Garlic Vegetables...they didn't even give us this dish but gave us a 2nd portion of the horrible vegetable curry. We were truly being punished. The dall was watery, the sag aloo was off (potatoes tasted bitter!) and the rest of the dishes were just dreadful. The paratha which I ordered for my dad was hard and cold! For my mum, I ordered the Vegetable Biriyani and that went straight into the bin. It was not how a biriyani should taste. And to make matters worse, it cost us a total of £48 for these few vegetables dishes. If they were a shop, I would have return it all for a full refund. My advice - choose another restaurant!

On my sunny travels down South and having worked up an appetite it was time to satisfy it. My girlfriend suggested Tandoori Villa in Stanway, Colchester. It was only a 15 minute stroll in the warm pleasant evening. The restaurant is tucked away so you need to know it to find it.The question was; would it be worth it? On entering we found the restaurant to fairly busy for a Sunday evening. Lots of families and couples. We were greeted with plenty of smiles from the staff and shown to some stylish private cubicles. It was spacious for two of us and probably nice and snug for four. Our drinks order was taken quickly. A small cobra for £2.50 (Southern prices) and Orange Juice £2.We where then told that the Buffett was available for £12.95 per person. There was a choice of two rices (Pillau and Vegetable Pillau), starters including chicken tikka masala and then 6 main courses including Korai Lamb and Vegetable Bhuna and Chicken Bhuna. There was poppadums, naan breads and dips as well as Bombay Potato. The food was excellent. Everything was tender, juicy and full of flavour. The potatoes were really soft and tasty.Needless to say we had 2 servings each and polished it off both realising we had eaten far too much. But that didn't stop us from ordering a Fantastico chocolate ice, to share I hasten to add, with two filter coffees. All in all it was a most enjoyable return to Colchester and to sample the delights the locals can enjoy everyday. Tandoori Villa is definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in that neck of the woods.

This has got to be one of the worst Indian Food I have ever had. The food was of poor quality, no authenticity in taste and received food which was not fresh and partially cold. There was inadequate service, thought the waiter was nice which was the only highlight of the night. Non existent atmosphere. This was a real put off, wasted my money and time. Came here randomly on a Sunday night as we fancied a curry, and were pleasantly surprised how great it was! Super quick food, staff were lovely and we had probably the best chicken tikka masala we’ve had in a long time. Will definitely be back! Thanks
