★★★★★ Exceptional Dine-In Experience at Appayon, Poynton Appayon Indian Restaurant is a standout culinary gem in Poynton. The dine-in experience dazzles with its warm, inviting ambiance—think elegant decor, soft lighting, and a welcoming vibe. The menu is a triumph of authentic Indian flavors. Highlights include the lamb rogan josh (rich and aromatic) and the butter chicken (creamy, perfectly spiced). The garlic naan is freshly baked, and vegetarian options like paneer tikka shine. Service is impeccable—attentive, friendly, and passionate. Every detail, from spice balance to presentation, reflects quality. A flawless 5-star experience—worth every penny!

There were 11 of us together for my birthday celebration. The staff were excellent in every respect. The food was amazing quality and the portions were a good size . Drinks are reasonably priced and a good selection. I would not hesitate to recommend this venue and I will be returning soon .

Had many many curries here over the years, but had a 7 year gap due to living away. Went back the other night with friends, and shocked to find zero customers at 9 on a Friday night. Immediately had panicking thoughts that the food must now be dire. Wrong! 6 of us with starters and mains, and not a bad serving among them. Good to see at least one staff member of old, still providing great service, but where are all the customers!? You were guaranteed a wait at the front at this time on a Friday last time we were there. Haworth was busy enough, but just not in here. Shame.

This has to be the worst dining out experience me and my partner has ever had. We turned up as the restaurant opened, we was the first couple to sit down and the starters took 2 hours to come out while take away orders was flying out the door. Food was great but then we had to wait for our mains which was another 40 minutes? When the mains arrived, there was a black beard hair on my missus's plate and a huge long black hair in my meal, food was undercooked. It was an absolute joke. Would not recommend anyone dining here. Joke of a resteraunt. Definitely will never be returning. There was a couple that sat next to us for their 50th anniversary and they left before we did because of the ridiculous wait times. We sent them to a different Indian restaurant that we know of so we can only hope that they had a better experience there than they did here. Joke!

I recently visited Monsoon Indian Restaurant in Tettenhall, Wolverhampton, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience. From the moment we walked in, Fred and the team made us feel incredibly welcome, offering warm hospitality that set the tone for the evening. The food was absolutely delicious—flavorful, well-seasoned, and fresh, showcasing the true essence of Indian cuisine. As it was my first visit, I was thoroughly impressed and will definitely be returning. The value for money was also excellent, making it an even more enjoyable experience. I highly recommend Monsoon to anyone in the area—it's a must-visit!

I completely love this place so much. Prithi down the road is far inferior. Their curries are watery, flavourless, and their naan was soggy like moss near a lake. Agra uses delicious spices and aromas, which is nice and makes me happy like Christmas or buying discounted mayonnaise. The waiters' petite frames allow rapid nimble maneuvers, ensuring all tables are aptly catered for and orders are delivered promptly. The naga chill is hot and balanced and the rice yummy and scrumptious... always on point. The decor is quite breathtaking in some respects, with proper authentic curry house designs inside and out. Prices are highly competitive, so all in all, this place is hard to beat. If you live nearby, it's close to you which makes it easy to get to which is nice, like back scratches and waterproof plasters. 11/10 love it lots and lots ❤️

Uninspiring yet ok food. Prawn puri starter was the highlight - packed with flavour and prawns and the puri was light and fresh. Chicken was on the dry side in the Pathia which also lacked richness. Avoid the house red. It's the only one available by the glass and is approaching undrinkable. Ideal for a post pub curry, but it is not the 'amazing' food that some of the reviews suggest. I cannot comment on the chef specials and is only one visit, so I may be underselling this place..or not!
