Really love this place 5 star for the food everytime the staff are always very pleasant even with my 2yr old grandson highly recommended 👍

Good food but i found out the owner doesn’t like Jewish people so I don’t feel so welcome going back anymore. If you don’t mind going somewhere where the owner doesn’t want Jewish people then this is a great option as the food is tasty and the service is good.

Been going here on and off for over 20 years. Forgot how good it was - Delicious food, great service, competitively priced.

Lovely food as always and a very kind delivery driver. I accidentally used my home address for the order instead of the house I was visiting, and the driver kindly brought the food around to us.

Place needs some updating, not very nice decor and just very dimly lit. Service from staff good and food was nice..not won any recent awards..think last one was back I'm the 90s. Wouldn't return

Another great night at Rowley Village with friends. Not a bad thing to say about the place!! As always, excellent service, friendly staff and amazing food. Always order takeaways from here too, never a problem! Best in the area!!! Will be back soon!

**UPDATE OCTOBER 2023** I've not been here for a few years but went back there this evening to order a takeaway, and as always very welcoming and friendly staff, Prices are slightly higher than any other Indian restaurant around the area but food was very nice. Next time I will be making a visit to eat in. ************************ Great food, reasonable prices, a good week day offer of 3 courses for £10.95 very friendly and polite staff, never had any complaints with the food, either with delivery or dining in. personally I think it's the best Indian restaurant in the area. Staff are always willing to go out of their way for you and nothing never seems to be too much bother. they don't keep pestering you either while you're eating. I come over a couple of minutes after your food has arrived at the table just to make sure everything is ok then they leave you to it they come back every now and again to see if you need anymore drinks. I've used this place for years, dining in and takeaways. I'll be using this place for many years to come.

The korma was sweet and the madras was extremely hot. Neither tasted of much accept korma of sugar and madras of chilli. The smell was so promising so we were quite disappointed.

Waited 2 hours to get food delivered! Even with a message saying it was on the way it took 45 minutes to arrive. Food was cold Normally great service but was terrible last night

We're not fussy eaters by any means but both me and the Mrs were disappointed unfortunately. Fast and friendly delivery, chips, naan and tandoori meat platter were spot on but curries and rice were pretty bland and saturated in oil. The chicken itself is nice though, curry sauce and rice went in the bin.

I had the chicken tawa which was really nice and lots of chicken. Rice was just about warm and the naan bread had gone a bit tough. Partner had madras, there were only 4-5 small pieces of chicken in it. Probably won’t rush back here.

Ordered some food earlier tonight and arrived cold. I then rang them to inform them of my stone cold cold meal and was shouted at for it! The restaurant then insulated me calling me “horrible” and “disgusting” The cold food has happened more than once now. This place is a joke. If you want a warm, full belly I would highly advise you stay away from this place at all costs. There’s multiple other restaurants near this one.

We’ve ordered from here for the past 12 years and always recommend to others. So when they recently changed the chicken tikka masala it was very bland, watery, no taste and a different colour. So when I called to ask I spoke to a very helpfully gentleman who knew what I meant and for the next 3 orders he requested to chef it was cooked the old way which is far better. So when I called today someone else answered who didn’t understand what I meant put me on the phone to someone with broken English and basically told me to order from somewhere else. They were extremely rude and after 12 years of using this Indian it’s a very poor service. I understand ingredients/ recipes change and if they didn’t want to do it the old way there is a way of explaining. Definitely won’t be ordering or recommending anymore, I just hope the helpful gentleman reads this review

Average food no extras like every other curry house.

Made an order, asked for a REAL time delivery, ???? Told maximum time 1 hour 20 mins..... called to be told would be "about " another 20 minutes... Tried several times to explain that I had been told as above. To be hung up on. Then 10 mins later receive a call from Rowley village to be told "they had now cancelled my order!!!!!! Unbelievable how rude they were. I have used this place for many years. Spent minimum of £40 a time. Change of address... and they have now lost a regular customer. Unbelievable..... My recommendations of the past are now withdrawn....... Out of 10 are now below 0 zero......

Food was really nice apart from the fries were stone cold

Iv read the reviews and see that the restaurant tries to say that people want fee things or don’t appreciate quality which I’m neither. I ordered a lamb vindaloo which the sauce was like dishwater and no potato which it should have as that’s what makes a vindaloo what it is. No thickness to the sauce what so ever and only six pieces of meat which I think is poor the starter a nargis kebab was decent also the rice. The naan was poor cheese and garlic where the cheese was just unmelted clumps on top I will not order again due to the poor quality of the main vindaloo dish

This is our go to place, great food and great friendly staff. Take away, dine in or delivery always high standard and quality.

We visited on the spur of the moment and was the best decision 🙂 Fantastic flavoursome food , my partner had the mackerel sag chilli, garlic rice & peshwari naan , I had the village special curry with mushroom rice & keema naan all excellent, attentive service the whole time and very reasonable priced. Will definetly come here again

First time I’d ordered from the Rowley village for a long time, food was really nice and will be back to ordered for often. Only thing that would of made it better would of been popadoms and dips (usually free) otherwise I would of ordered them, at least I know for next time.

When I lived in the area used this place all the time and never disappointed. Beautiful Currys, naan breads and starters and the portions are huge, unlike most curry houses that bulk their curries out with onions, veg, tomatoes etc these curries are loaded with meat. I'm yet too finish a full curry so make sure your hungry when you go, not too mention their naan breads are bigger than anywhere else I've eaten. Occasionally I drive all the way from Bromsgrove for a takeaway from this place, as no curries houses round Bromsgrove come even close. Keep up the good work Rowley Village. Years of service to the local community and I know why. Good food, huge portions and good prices.

Chicken tikka Masala wasn’t the usual quality tonight watery a d a different colour

Tonight was our first visit. We went at 5pm, so it was nice and quiet. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food was cooked to perfection, though we could not eat it all. We really recommend this restaurant and will be returning.

Food came quick enough however was tasteless, swimming in water and wrong.

Food was tasty but there wasn’t a lot of meat in the lamb rogan josh or the jalfrezi. Heavily bulked out with vegetables. I counted four pieces of lamb in the jalfrezi. The rice was okay, not that flavoursome. But it arrived hot. And the flavour was there.

great food as always, ordered online and arrived so much quicker than i thought it would do bearing in mind was a friday night, slight mix up on the order which was because of just eat not the rowley's fault but was immeadiately recified via a phonecall from the restaurant if only customer service was this excellent elsewhere.

When we lived in Throne rd we used this restaurant for the past 30 years Lovely food and friendly service. First time having food at the rowley and dined in and we were impressed with the quality of food. My partner does not really enjoy Indian food as he is fussy with vegetables so he ordered a balti with no veg. The food came out as requested and he enjoyed every bit of it. The lamb tikka and chicken tikka starter were amazing. Not chewy compared to other restraints. Naan breads were so delicious also not too crispy like precious restraints. Service was friendly and attentive. Thank you for a great evening.

As always the food was excellent however we were gobsmacked when we got the bill. 6 of us had 2 soft drinks each, a starter and a curry plus a Naan each and the bill came to £172!! We were charged £9.80 for 6 poppadoms!!! £27 for 6 soft drinks is ridiculous! Really disappointed as the service was good and the staff were friendly but no way was the meal and drinks worth £172. We probably won’t be going back because of the cost alone which is a shame as we have always enjoyed the food from there. EDIT - I just want to reply to the extremely rude, offensive and downright lies posted by the restaurant in reply to my honest assessment of my visit last night. We were asked if we wanted poppadoms once we sat down and we asked for 1 each. The poppadoms are listed on the menu at 0.70 pence each. We DID NOT ask for a chutney tray or any special dips but these were put on the table when our poppadoms were bought out. So we were obviously charged £4.20 for the poppadoms and then £5.60 for chutney and dips that we did not ask for or use all of. With regards to drinks - we had 4 cokes (pints) and 2 lemonades (pints)(the lemonade was as flat as a pancake but that is irrelevant). To charge £4.50 for a pint of any soft drink is scandalous. That is nearly double what I would expect to pay in any similar establishment or any pub. In the first round of drinks we did have 2 1/2 pints of Cobra and expect to pay a higher price for those but not so for soft drinks. drinks added up to £63.30 and we only had 2 each. None of us had 'special dishes' or 'special sides' as the restaurant has commented, we had 2x prawn puree starters, 2 Veg Pakora starters, 1 Veg samosa starter and 1 sheesh kebab starter. starters added up to £30.50 Main meals were 2 chicken tikka masala, 1 Chicken Tikka Mattar, 1 Chicken Pasanda, 1 chicken Korma and 1 sirloin steak English meal. We all had Naan 1 Naan bread each and a portion of chips between us. We didn't have any rice - let alone 'special' rice as the restaurant has commented. main meals added up to £60.00 and sides added up to £18.50. Nothing 'Special' about any of that. I have commented that the food and service was excellent and if you have money to burn then this is the place for you as you will get a good meal. However, if like us, you are looking for somewhere to go to celebrate a birthday then you can get the same standard of 'luxury' any any other local establishment for a lot less money. This is my 'honest' assessment and sorry if the restaurant doesn't agree with it.

Considering the history of this place they need to obtain new awards or remove the old ones as not winning one since 1998. Service good, nice pleasant people. My choice was a ginger special lamb curry with lemon rice, lamb was very good, other than that quite average. More stars? When you quote a special fusion as a special it should stick out as one of those meals but again quite average, not any taste of ginger or much else to be honest

Ordered a delivery chicken tikka pathia and garlic chilli chicken it was the worst pathia I've ever tasted. it and the garlic chilli chicken ended up in the bin half eaten

Fast delivery. Forgot rice rang up and it was delivered extremely fast to be fair. Good quality was really bad. Curry really greasy and runny no real taste. Expansive and no popadoms or onion salad won’t try again

Perfectly cooked and large portions

Overall it was a really good. Grade A chips were frozen oven chips which were cold and soggy but other than that I would recommend. I would 100% change the description on just eat from grade A chips to French Fries to be honest with customers.

First time ordering here and I definitely won’t be ordering again spent over 30 pound I didn’t get no poppadoms! The missus tikka masala was very grainy and my chicken tikka Bhuna was very bland and looked like dish water, it looked like it had come straight from the freezer to the microwave, my cheese keema nann was vile no keema what so ever but had a block of melted cheese on it. Very overpriced and won’t be going here again. Avoid like the plague

Ordered for the first time today. Placed the order and was already an hour wait so I waited, then I had a notification to say my food was on the way, I’m only 10 mins away from restaurant still hadn’t came then I clicked on just eat and asked where my order was they put 10 mins delay time on and still didn’t come in the 10 mins. And then when it came 15 mins after that it was cold! Not again

Really enjoyed my curry big sized helpings and the naan was larger than most resturants and cooked how I asked for it to be cooked. The lads working there were really friendly and I'll definitely be going back soon. Well i returned 2nd time the place was empty only a couple of take aways being delivered. Food was again good but the bill was around £5 dearer than what it normally is at most curry houses i eat at. i looked at the bill and been charged £4.50 for a glass of flat coke ??? disgrace now i know why the place is deserted and i will eat elsewhere in future

Curry was watery like gravy horrible, french fries were described on menu as grade A chips when they were greasy frozen french fries no salad or mint with popodom which was not free ,first and last meal from here never again most of it went straight in the bin .

Lovely delivery driver and delivered fast. Sadly everything was greasy or had pools of oil on. Barely edible. The underlying seasoning seemed good, just was difficult to eat as so oily/greasy
