The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

My husband and I had a beautiful meal here last night. First time visiting for us, we love our Indian food and like our food spicy they were very helpful with this. I would 100% recommend this Indian very very tasty food and good service! We will come again - thank you !

Booked in for a table of 7 on Friday evening as a Christmas do with friends, and when we entered, our table, squished between 40 lads on a rugby social and another table of 6, would’ve been too small for 4 six-year-old children, never mind 7 adults. The waiter then said when the table next to us were finished (said to be soon), we could have their table. They hadn’t even received their mains yet, so we’d probably have been waiting about three hours given the amount of food going to the table of 40. We decided to leave, and when we asked for our deposit back on the table, the waiter initially refused, ‘shooing’ us away like you would to an annoying dog on Christmas Day. We persisted with this, then the waiter asked why were complaining, as other tables were forced to ‘cram around’ their tables too. Given that our table was more compact than the Northern Line at 5pm, the waiter’s whataboutery was baffling. We left, deposit finally repaid, wading through a horde of rugby lads on their social, with our Christmas Do in tatters. Nice one Curry Leaf, son’s crying.

What a surprise, an anamazing spice master, the quality of the food is exceptional. Really enjoyed the meal my son‘s 37th birthday party. If you want a bloody good quality curry and a nice beer then highly recommend this hidden gem . First class

10 of us visited on the 2nd November for our daughters 30th Birthday. The first red flag was their insistence on a cash deposit of £100 which they said would be forfeit if anyone didn’t turn up. We arrived at 7 but found the service was incredibly slow. Requests for drinks were ignored, waiters took drinks orders for just half the group and were not at all attentive. It took an hour and a half from ordering mains for the food to arrive. Thanks goodness we didn’t order starters! To be fair the food was excellent, when it finally arrived, but the wait was unacceptable. The waiters were often missing, we were in the part of the restaurant with larger groups, there were four tables of around 10 per table, but there were often no waiters to be seen. When we did see waiters they often ignored us, ignored requests and were generally unhelpful. Considering the very long wait for food this was appalling. I notice a number of other reviews have commented on service being slow. We were given just £15 off our bill for the very long wait for food, less than the cost of one main. The service was so dreadful that we will not come back again despite the great food.

The quality of food is too good. We ordered chilli squid, malai tikka, butter chicken, butter nan, masala dosa, beef roast and 2 kind of lassi...first visit and best impression.

Really sad that the bombay brew has closed, always liked eating there, hopefully will find a new venue, again Really sad

Sorry, but the food was tasteless slop. We were excited to try it out as our family are new to the area. But we won't be going again. It just seemed like they microwaved the same curry sauce and added some onion to one of them. Veg biryani was bad

Had a take away. first time here. Absolutely lovely 😍 will be back soon. Staff our lovely. Not oily fabulous value and taste. Parking is easy

Went tonight with a Groupon voucher which was a gift. We went from bolton and in my opinion it was well worth the drive. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The food was amazing. The way the Groupon menu works is a great idea. Can't wait to go back.

Originally called up for an early table, but understandably none available NYE at short notice. When my husband arrived to collect he said the restaurant was empty and there were more people waiting for takeaways than eating in the restaurant. Husband arrived home very quickly after with the food, daughter’s main missing along with a missing naan bread. Everything else Luke warm. Called up to advise food was missing and I was told driving was heading our way and they would drop it in. Did try to tell the guy on the phone the rest of it was already cold but he was clearly preoccupied within the restaurant. Stood around like lemons waiting for the rest of our food, remainder turned up also cold. So had to microwave the lot. 👍👍 First time ordering from here after moving to the area, unfortunately I doubt we will rush back.
