Fabulous food, a really tasty and filling meal. The service was friendly and prompt. Highly recommended. The honey korma went down well with my daughter and the prawn poori starter was delicious.

Been coming here for years, recently been taken under new management and it's got even better. The honey korma is my new favourite, and the quality of the meat is better. I will miss being able to bring your own drinks but can't complain as the drinks prices are reasonable. Staff are always lovely and quick service.

Food is always excellent and full of flavour. Even the kids love the tikka, it's not spicy, it's rather sweet tasting. It's the perfect take away for the kids and us. Would definitely recommend. Service is always polite and friendly and really welcoming. Delivery is always quick and food is always nice and hot.

Really sorry - we’ve always enjoyed dining here - but were so disappointed tonight, we ordered the dishes we usually order but it seemed that there was an addition of cream to all the sauces and it just spoiled it. Appreciate you have changed the menu and now have a bar but you really didn’t need to change the food it was always good. Spent best part of £100 on a meal for two but I’m afraid we won’t be coming back in a hurry, didn’t enjoy like we have before.

we had a fantastic meal from the mint rooms tonight for my dad's birthday. we ordered food for 7 people and collected within 20 mins. extremely friendly service when I arrived. the food was delicious and hot, couldn't fault one thing. thank you very much

I have visited the mint rooms a few times and it’s always been enjoyable. Not this time ! My first issue was the newly added bar as was somewhere we would go as u could take ur own drinks which would make it a cheap meal out , and the bar wasn’t cheap ! Secondly we waited well over an hour for our food to come and it felt like the waiters didn’t really know what they was doing , definitely needed a charger as they was on go slow ! Didn’t offer us any poppadoms Either :( ! Although the food itself was extremely tasty and big portions I don’t think I’ll go back unfortunately!

We used to visit this restaurant a lot before it changed hands and a Bar being put in place. The food was of the same high standard and I can't fault the service but the bar is a draw back. I think many previous regular customers will think twice as will we, we used to enjoy a bottle of wine with our meal that we took ourselves but now the price of the wine on offer is not for the regular person and I think that is or will be a drawback in the future, you even have to pay for a bottle of water. Food was amazing and hot and presented well, just a let down to have to pay for a drink after being used to taking your own.

Be very very careful about booking online. We reserved a table for 5 people, received a confirmation email to say the table had been accepted and drove 30 minutes to the restaurant for them to refuse us. They said they declined the reservation on their end, but I received a confirmation email. Incredibly poor show. This was for a 7pm booking.

Me and my mates visit this restaurant for the first time and we where amazed by the customer service we received , especially the manager there he was amazing came and checked if everything was to our liking and even asked for our feed back which was good to see Loved the fact that they had a Madri tap which you don’t see often in India restaurants Overall 10/10 for the service and food Will be going back again for sure

Really disappointed it was the worst curry I have ever had it was just like having tomato paste with a bit of spice and the meat was so tough it was disgusting. Would I go there again I don't think so and I definitely wouldn't recommend it after tonight's meal

Brilliant restaurant and brilliant atmosphere. Staff very friendly and quick to make you feel comfortable. Can’t fault the food, quick and tasty. And lots of new varieties of alcohol in the new bar. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to visit again.

I am not a lover of Asian foods but our meal here at the Mint Room could not have been better. Everyone enjoyed the food the service was friendly and efficient. Our table was ready for our arrival.

Good Quality Food We booked for a party for 6, the food was beautiful, good quality and everything tasted amazing. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Would highly recommend this restaurant, had a fussy eater in the group who enjoyed all of it. Was pleasantly surprised when we received the bill. Have had dozens of really good meals here, but the latest visit was not good. The curry's were really bland and just spicy - out of 10 of us 4 people left more than half their food. I think there is a new chef as the dishes just don't taste as they used to - no depth of flavour at all. Poppadom's/chips/rice/Nan Breads were all ok, the curry's themselves were the problem. Won't be returning until I can see some better reviews.

What an absolute breath of fresh air! A thick creamy curry sauce with plentiful paneer! The service was impeccable and the food was absolutely beautiful from start to finish! There are lots of vegetarian choices! I didn't get the young ladies name who was serving us, but she made my evening!

If you have a sit down I've never had a problem. Unfortunately don't have a delivery especially on a rugby weekend .food 4/10 Onion barriers straight down the toilet burnt to a sinder. Such a shame

This was a very nice place to eat. It was very clean and comfortable. Both waiters and service were impeccable, and the food was the best I've experienced in Barry.

Meal wasn't very hot when it arrived. Lost a star for that and the service as we told the waiter 3 times what rice and they still brought the wrong one. However the food is very good and if you want something different with lots of amazing flavours this is the place to go to

They rushed our food and rushed us out, the curries was way to sweet, and onion bahji, meat somasa and chicken tikka way to spicy like they had chilli flakes in them, egg fried rice was lovely thou

Got a takeaway from here last week. Collection was only 20 minutes! And when I called to delay the connection the staff were more than helpful and happily did it. Food was lovely, chicken biryiani with added mushrooms was no trouble. Would definitely order again

Mint Room was a delightful find! The warm atmosphere and friendly service immediately made me feel at home. The Chicken Tikka Masala was incredibly tasty, and the Garlic Naan was simply perfect. The staff was attentive and made sure I had a wonderful time. I can't wait to visit again!

First impressions were of unfriendly staff ..blown lights on the walls and ceiling giving an impression of a couldn't care less... Whilst waiting for our food ..I went to the toilet...on approaching the rest rooms...the toilet door to the gents was missing allowing diners sitting opposite the gents toilet to view gentlemen urinating.. The food was decidedly uninspiring..my my chicken madras was overly bitter and overdosed on very hot spices..more suited for a Vindaloo..others in my group were unimpressed by the quality of their food ,not only in the way it was cooked ,but also in the way it was presented to them..will not be visiting this establishment again.

I ordered a takeaway from mint rooms (as I have for the past 4 years without any issues) and my curry was saturated in oil. I phoned up to resolve this issue and they delivered a new curry within 15 minutes, however upon arrival, this curry was even worse than the first! Spent £25 and did not eat any of the food! Very disappointing! See pics attached

The Wednesday night banquet is superb value for money. Friendly staff, great food and you can take your own alcohol.

I have to say, I'm absolutely blown away by the taste of every curry we ordered! Literally 7 different dishes and each was ridiculously good. Out of everywhere I've tried in Cardiff, Swansea, and Barry, plus others, Mint is a million miles past every other curry house!

I can't thank enough my friend who recommended me about this Indian restaurant. Very spacious, suitable for parties. booked a table for 4, all The food were amazing. We ordered starters, two lamb and two chicken dishes,The meat was tender,soft and juicy. The starter,naga wings in the skewers was fabulous.The portion was too big!All my friends loved the food and they will visit the restaurant definitely. The service was spot on!If You can't make your mind about dishes, the lad Alan is there to help you. He explained and recommended me the dish exactly what i want. He is smiley, polite,friendly guy. All other staffs are also friendly and polite. They all took a great care of us asking anything they could help us with. Definitely recommend my friends.

I was pleasantry surprised coming here, I have heard all the reputation this establishment gets so I thought I would see it first hand, I can easily say this is the best Indian restaurant in Barry! From the service to the food to the atmosphere it was all world class and I will definitely be coming down again when I am back in Barry.

Really well set out spacious restaurant in Barry, the menu is great, had mint room sizzler for starters, came on a hanger looking design dish with the kebabs lamb and chicken on the skewer. Mains had a nice Lamb Rajastani Curry with a rice. Over all great food and service. Definitely worth visiting. See you soon

Ordered for delivery. Restaurant regularly forget they advertise 20% off, so you need to ask for it. They will not take card payments over phone. Will only accept cash for delivery in order to get your 20% off. Their online order will not give you discount. Food was average

Home delivery ordered - came 45 minutes late following a telephone call to the restaurant. Food was cold and one main meal was nothing like what had been ordered.

We came out on a Friday to celebrate our Valentine’s Day, all the staff were amazing also available whenever we needed them. Food was amazing 5* service all around. Friendly lovely atmosphere we will definitely be back.

Hope it was an off night. It has been better on previous visits. Weird, damp, mouldy smell. Food Luke warm and average. Took around an hour between sitting down and eating. Soft poppadoms. £150 for 7 people. Uncomfortable, dreadful acoustics, loud.
