We wanted a takeaway. Balti Kitchen was a little less convenient for location than the last Indian restaurant/takeaway we had visited, but we were disappointed with the food last time around. Balti Kitchen is in a different class altogether. Generous portions of tasty food. We are vegetarian - there were nice big chunks of obviously fresh vegetable in the food. We are both looking forward to a return visit. Balti Kitchen highly recommended!

Our favourite Indian restaurant in Macclesfield. Been going here for 22 years. Last night there had been a mix up unusually (they were super busy!) with my doggy bag and they went above and beyond to replace it. I didn't realise till I got home what they had given me. Very generous. Thank you!

Debated whether 9.15pm was too late for a home delivery. I phoned on the off chance and was surprised that the restaurant were more than happy to accept my phone order. Fantastic service, quick delivery and the owner himself brought it!! Piping hot food and free poppadoms too. I highly recommend, food was absolutely delicious and authentic genuine cuisine. Definitely our number one restaurant in Macclesfield (and we have tried many) 😁

One of the best currys we have had in a long time, bring your own booze, so keeps the cost down, and really friendly staff . We will most definitely be back!

Warm welcome as always, ordered poppadoms rather than a starter, 2 main meals and sides with a portion of onion bhaji's . A bottle of wine and 2 soft drinks. The food was amazing, the service attentive.They were busy (you could see how much food was leaving the restaurant and a.party in the lower room) For over 20 yrs I have lived in Macclesfield and intermittently visited Balti kitchen. We are always welcomed and the staff absolutely do remember each and every person. Thank you 😊

Not been in for many years but was still great

We eat here regularly and always have been happy with the food and service. Last nights visit was particularly good. The quality of the food was great and they have invested in new dishes and the service seemed calmer and more relaxed. Lots of competition among Indian Restaurants in Macclesfield but for me the Balti Kitchen wins hands down.

I don't usually review-reviews at 5 star, I am bad at reviews really, the salad with the rice taste was very nice, and the curry ( korma) with the tomatoes was nice, not amazing food but some of the goodest (good) food I've ever had, I wanted to taste a maccliesfield korma and what a taste it was!🙂 I've never cooked ready meals (that good my self) or cooked that good. P.s. the delivery has a look of a normal people and looks like one of the best people you could ever meet👍

I note it's been a year since my last visit and that we had a few issues last time. Well they had a problem with the gas so takeaways only on this occasion. Fortunately they were able to introduce us to their friends and neighbours and colleagues at Paprika, just across the road. For this I will give them a very good rating!

Went for our works “xmas do” Not impressed. Portions were small and the food was tasteless. Chicken Bhuna had 4 pieces of chicken, the peshwari naan had no flavour whatsoever, although in the interest of fairness the mushroom rice was very nice. Probably wont bother going again

Welcoming, friendly and polite staff, who are also great with recommendations and advice about allergies. Food was fresh, very tasty and arrived with a smile. Highly recommend the onion bhajis for starter, and the Tandoori chicken was the best I’ve had for some time!

Ordered balti kitchen tonight as a delivery to the house, we ordered the chicken chilli starter, mixed kebab starter, keema rice and donner kebab, the food was outstanding, everything fresh and all meat cooked tender, we enjoyed it that much I rang to let the manager know, best takeout iv ever had in Macclesfield, thanks team

Had a take-away last night, the naan bread was cold, and the chicken was dry. Not the best experience I'm afraid. Very disappointed

Ordered a delivery waited 1 hour 30 and was told it would be 55 mins, had to drive down to find out as the phone line was dead, driver got lost and my food is now cold. Not good service at all after driving down and didn't even offer money back or anything. Awful

We went with our friends after a couple of months to dine we must say the food and service has gone up another level excellent recommend this place Very high

I ordered food at Balti Kitchen and it was delivered at the wrong time. As we were not at home, We suspect the SAME food was redelivered 2 hours later. Then we had 4 cups of mint sauce, no Lamb massala. The food looked and tasted reheated and was poor of taste. Very bad experience

Turn up tonight visiting town on my own restaurant less than half full asked for table for one and.was turned away and told no tables for single person !!! People waiting on takeaways were shaking there heads and laughing

Visiting town on my own for first time was recommended the balti kitchen . Arrived at 6 o'clock restaurant less than half full and got turned away because you not allowed a table for one . Book a group table, on arrival it was busy always a good sign especially after a 2 hr drive to get there. Shown to our table upstairs lovely setting, soft drinks ordered you can take your own beer. Food was well presented and hot I had paneer pakora starter very nice followed by chicken madras hot very tasty with boiled rice and and a peshwari naan, wife had chicken pakora followed by chicken tikka biryani. Both meals were up there with the best we have had. Well done guys and thank you

Whilst this is my go-to Indian, it's not the absolute best I've ever had, that title is held by Namaste in Köln. Regardless, it's still a damn good curry. We only order takeaway, but they usually add extra poppadoms, chutney, mint sauce and those tasty onions in with our orders for free. The chicken pakoras are to die for! My only wish is that I had more. Portions are a good size, enough to have some the next day if you pair the curry with a starter. Inside the restaurant is very cramped, difficult to sit down due to a stupidly large coffee table. They are however quick to serve you, super quick! Give them your name and in a few minutes, somebody will be out with your food. Parking can be quite difficult as there is paid parking right outside that is usually already crowded.

4 circles for the food, the evening could have been a disaster. We were here as ELAF couldn't honour a booking (again). I had got used to the idea of BYO as there were 6 of us and it's the same arrangement here. Booked for 6.30 but they had written down 8.30. Fortunately, despite there being little space, they had a table opposite the bar. Also fortunately, we were close to where the staff were generally located so we were able to attract their attention when required. Service was okay, food was good and they were happy to bag up the leftovers for my friend and his wife when our taxi arrived. I think the problem here is that unfortunately they bite off more than they can chew. I must add, Fayekur G might as well call himself Faker. Three badly written reviews, all of this place, all 5 circles, all basically saying this place is the best in every way!

I would rate it 0 stars if I could. The people I was attending this meal with booked in with Balti Kitchen weeks prior for 8pm, they are regular customers at this restaurant. We anticipated a bit more of a wait as it was New Year’s Eve and would be busier than usual, however, we were instantly put off when we got talking to the long queue of people waiting for their takeaway orders and their tables. Not one staff member was available to talk to, they were all literally hiding away in the kitchen to avoid a sea of angry customers. Not one person in the queue had been given a wait time. We sat and waited for an hour and not one staff member approached us until we had to repeatedly ask for some form of communication. A staff member actually laughed in our faces as we complained. The people who were sat at their tables had not been brought any food while we sat waiting all of that time. After our long wait we left and went to another local curry house called Lazeez which I would highly recommend, luckily the staff there were attentive and lovely and made our evening enjoyable. The staff at Balti Kitchen are extremely rude and unprofessional. We wouldn’t have been able to eat there even if they’d sat us as we were about to leave, we were all angry. A very poorly run restaurant that none of us will be returning to.

No stars really, Disappointed, hour and a half to deliver stone cold food when it arrived absolute waste of time, don't mind waiting as long as food it hot shouldn't be doing take out if you can't cope shame won't bother again

Amazing staff and food, plenty of seating and great cuisine

Delicious food, reasonable prices and great service. The only downside was when paying - I don't like being asked how much i'm going to tip! Surely that's up to each individual it made us feel very uncomfortable.

I've been getting food (take away) from Balti Kitchen for almost 20 years. The food historically has always been great... you know if you order from there, you'll get a good meal. However, over this past few months, they changed their nan recipe. The original garlic nans were exceptional. Really moist and tasty. Now the nans are very dry, and burnt. Supermarket nans are better (and that's saying something!). This is a real shame. As previously, their nan bread was superb. To add to this, the last time we got our meal, unfortunately there was a black (straight) hair in the onion rice. I couldn't stomach eating my meal once I found that. I do have to be fair and say out of about 500+ meals I've had from there over the years, it's the only time there's ever been a hair in the food. The boss is nice, polite and always says hello, there's an older bloke who's a bit abrupt. Would I recommend Balti Kitchen? Yes. And I have to many people. However, I do think they need to reassess their nan breads and put them back to their original recipe where they were moist and doughy, and watch they aren't burnt. Also, perhaps hair nets for the chefs to prevent hair going into the food. A year ago I'd have given the place 5/5 no question, but because of the new recipe for the nans, and them being burnt, and the hair in our food, I've had to mark it down.

We have been ordering for years from here, tonight was abysmal, order late again as was last weeks order had to ring and check where it was, food was a main bit was no more then a starter size... driver/ demivery person skoppy and flippant, food cold, co tacted balti kitchen by pho e said it ahould have arrived before now!!! Very very poor

There are many curry houses to choose from in the immediate vicinity but Balti Kitchen has become my go to place. Always swift service and beautiful food dining in or take away. Best paneer I've had! Always busy, and the staff have always been fantastic.

The food was tailor made, very tasty and nicely presented. Good value for money. But i accidentally forgot my take away and came back to collect it not less than 5min. The main gentleman in charge could have been more reassuring that it would have been kept inside instead of just giving a shrug. Afterall i did leave a tip of 25%.

Best curry host in Macclesfield

Turned up late, Stone cold, very oily and not much flavour plus the chips were over fried and rock hard. Very disappointed as this was once one of the best Indians in Macclesfield.

Not one for reviews but the food took nearly 2 hours after phoning 3 times and was Luke warm when we received it. They also have a cheek to stick on a service charge and delivery charge. Won't be back

Not that impressed.... I dont like leaving bad reviews but feel I need to pre warn other customers.....to start with the food took over 1.5 hours to be delivered....rang them after 1 hour ...wait time was allegedly 50 mins ....was told our food had left 10 mins previously....waited another 20 mins and rang again.... can't understand why they dont just say really sorry busy evening please bear with us ....people do understand...when we eventually got the food part of our order was missing and the food was just ok.....tried to call so they could ring the driver to see if she had it in her car but for the next 20 minutes the line was busy..I've had better food and to be honest they definitely won't be my first pick when I next want a curry ...if the food had been amazing I might have understood ....not quite sure lemon in a tikka masala works but im not a curry chef along with mediocre food with bits missing and appalling delivery service means I will be swerving in future

1st time ordering from here & delivered in about 1/2 hr.So impressed with our meal that I phoned them to say it was gorgeous.Everything from the chicken tikka starter,lovely fresh poppadoms,peshwari Nan,chicken tikka masala & chicken korma was hot & lovely.Will deffo be ordering from them again as can’t fault them.

Perfect place for family and friends get together. Always treated well. The staff recognise you and even remember who your partner is and other people you have been with. They are so accommodating with dietary restrictions and will also spice up or down a dish to order. I love the vegetable Kahri and usually ask for extra chilli. They will also parcel your left overs so you can take home for later. Food is very tasty. They have an early dine saver menu as well. Lots of beautiful tasting dishes going from the very mild spice to the narga hot. Take a trip to the Balti Kitchen you will not be disappointed especially as a curry lover. English dishes are available too. Thank you all at The Balti Kitchen for looking after us

I have been here many times with family and it is one of the best restaurants I have been to. The service is amazing and the food is delicious. I would definitely recommend.

I think the restaurant is a bit tired at the moment. It stunk of cigarettes as we walked in. They've stopped serving alcohol and it just seemed like it needed a good clean. Food was mediocre.

It is now 19:10 on Saturday 15th and we booked a delivery for 18:25 and still nothing! It is my wife’s special birthday and we have no food. Totally ruined evening!Do not take the orders AND my money if you cannot fulfill Stay clear of these!!!

Balti Kitchen is my favourite Indian in Macclesfield, the food is always delicious, full of flavour and great portion sizes. Before COVID we would visit regularly and sit in the restaurant - their early bird menu is a steal - and more recently we have had takeaways. The quality is still the same, it's just a shame we have to eat at home without the restaurant atmosphere. This is a great family-run business, keep doing what you're doing you are amazing.

Since the covid we have been having some dilevery and some collection some times the dilevery gets a bit late some time a bit early wrong don't mind because we know how extremely busy they are but I have to tell you one thing the food is milels better this any other reasturant in Macclesfield so lads carry-on doing what you Sree good at don't take any negetive reports good luck for the future

I will never use the Balti Kitchen again. They completely ruined our night. I ordered a curry online for my family and the estimated delivery time was an hour. After 1 hour and 20 minutes we tried to call but the phone was always engaged. I tried the online chat but that's just some random people paid to fob you off. We eventually got through on the phone to see if it was in transit and whether we could collect instead, we were told, "it will be there in 10 minutes". Lo and behold a further 30 minutes and no curry. Managed to get through on the phone again and we got "the boss is delivering it, he'll be a few more minutes". I haven't experienced this type of rubbish service since the 1980's. All they need to do is have an approx delivery estimate on their website rather than a fixed "one hour". This is not difficult and we've been in lockdown since MARCH.

Good food, poor service waited over 2 hours for our food to be delivered, twice told its minutes away

Ordered at 6pm for delivery asap, we waited until 7pm as it was a Saturday, so could have been busy. Decided to follow up with a phone call to find out their phone lines were turned off, and they obviously couldnt have been bothered to call the customer to update on the delivery time. Decided to drive there at 7.45 and found the delivery driver just getting in his car. Absolutely terrible service for takeaway.

The best curry i have had in years. Great food and great service. Covid safe environment and very friendly. Bring your own beer and wine with no corkage fee. Large menu with lots of variety and lots of new dishes I have not experienced before. Fantastic and a big recommend. They were busy and even busier with their take out service.

My partner and I visited on Saturday evening, we had been previously, but it was some time ago. From the moment we were shown to our table the service was absolutely faultless. The food arrived piping hot and was absolutely delicious. A delightful waitress took time to chat with us and even gave my husband a complimentary pot of his favourite lime relish, extra filter coffees too! The whole dining experience was very nice indeed, we couldn’t have been more impressed and will be sure to return very soon.

Me and the mrs came for the first time on a recommendation from our friend on friday first we were sat down by the lovely waiter which we found out was the big boss very friendly then he himself came to take the order he recommended a chicken dish called bullet handi for me then for the mrs. Dall ghost a lamb and lentil dish boath of the dishes were absolutely fabulous I have to say the best we've had in a long time the place was very busy considering its covid but I can understand why it was very covid safe the waiter's had masks on the distancing was good paper menus for disposal ones nothing on table after we were sat down then they put everything on which was very good and finally you have to bring your own alcohol in they provide all the corkage glass free which was great I think it the new trend in lot of places so you just pay for your starters and main course which was very cheap for the quality of food and service we would recommend this restaurant to anyone to give it a try you won't be disappointed

Food is always top notch. The staff are fantastic. They are very attentive and are one of the reasons why we always go back. This is the best curry house in town (in my opinion).

I have been to the balti kichen few times with the family before it had been excellent went in on Friday night with the family again the food and the service seems to have gotten better and better the place was quite busy for covid but you can understand that because the food is the best and fresh the onley change they have made is you have to take your own alcohol they stopped serving alcohol we thought it was better that way we took couple of bottle of wine and bear they provided the glasses corkage operners and coolers all free and it was much cheaper than usual and better we will always come to this place all the time won't go anywhere I urge you all try this place dont forget get your own alcohol they provide soft driks

First visit for me and the friendliness was infectious. The service was great and the food was exceptional. Great atmosphere, great food and great service. A definite place to go and enjoy great food.

I am sympathetic with the pressures of takeaways provided A service but I pre ordered at 17.10pm before it opened at 17.30pm and the order still arrived an hour late at 21.00pm. Our order came minus the poppudums but the chutneys were delivered and the rest of our food was cold.So disappointed with the food and services

By far the best Indian restaurant in Macclesfield, the food is amazing every time and the prices are great. The staff are all so friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant will make your night.

Due to corona virus we found out they are doing Dilevery we were glad at least we can get some decent food from a proper place so we ordered through there's on line we were told it was going to be 1hour we ordered 4 sterters 5 mains 3 rice 3nans we must say the food was absolutely fabulous it was one of the best we've had even though it was 35 minutes late wich we can understand because it was Friday witch must have been a very busy knight and it's all new to them thank you very much for dilevering our food and don't take any negative reports from others they should appreciate that the balti kitchen in this difficult time are dilevering whitch they never have done before get behind the lads everyone through the difficult time

Visiting from London & heard good reviews about the food but delivery was delayed so long, it would’ve been quicker to go back to London and cook our own.

Miserable old waiter and terrible food ! The lamb was so tough ! Avoid ! Go to The Tiffin Kitchen in Prestbury for fresh gorgeous food ! No microwaved defrosted lamb tikka there ! Very poor wine selection by the glass( resorted to a beer)
