Brilliant food, massive naan breads!! Really great atmosphere, loved the purple neon lighting and flower walls. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious. I would definitely drop in if you are in the area!!

Nice looking restaurant with a lovely decor. It's changed its name now to East 360 or something. The food was okay, but hugely overpriced. The service was ridiculous. First we had to ask for our menus and were only given them after the drinks were served, then we had to try to fetch the waiters attention numerous times to get some drinks during the course of our evening. They never came and just asked whether we needed anything. The portion sizes are indeed very small and they don't have any hotplates or anything to keep the food dishes warm. We only had poppadoms and a standard main meal each plus six beers and 6 cokes plus water, that's for 3 adults and 3 kids and we paid £189.-. That's very expensive and overall we were left disappointed by our experiences. They used to be so much better the last time I was there a few years ago. Also the way they cleared the table after was a bit of a joke. Felt a bit like a canteen job. The waiters really need to seek some training on how to do the job properly. We won't go there again in a hurry.

Regardless of the food being spot on 👌....Customer service tonight was impeccable 😎..makes all the difference.....you put everyone else in Congleton to shame....really!..Keep up the good work guys....Big thanks and respect to all of you...wont be using anyone else now x

I have been to Purple Pakora a few times previously and have never been disappointed. We rang this evening hoping to get a table as it was my granddaughters 5th birthday. Was surprised when we arrived as it has been revamped and had a name change to East 360°. It looked amazing before and wow, it looks even more amazing now. Atmosphere and ambience with an amazing fire 🔥 theme. Granddaughters were comparing the decor to the Wicker Man ride at Alton Towers 😆 . Clean and inviting. The staff cannot accommodate more and are very friendly. The food is perfect, no grease in sight and very, very tasty. We are vegan and vegetarian and left with full bellies and clean plates. Probably the best we frequent and will be back very soon! Cannot believe our luck as it only reopened to eat in on Monday. Soon enough when word spreads it will be bookings only. Thank you for the experience x

They cancelled my daughter's 21st birthday party at the last minute! We've decided not to order anything from this company in the future because I don't trust them.

Great Indian food with very friendly team highly recommend

Booked meal for 16 people for an 80th birthday with people travelling from the other side of the country having made hotel bookings which cannot be cancelled and was informed by phone only 4 days before the event that they were unable to cater for us. Having phoned them they did not seem bothered that money had been paid for the accommodation and could not be returned. I consider this a very despicable way of conducting a business and very disappointed in the attitude of the management.

Due to the restaurant being refurbished 8 of us decided to stay in and order a takeaway which we picked up ourselves which was at 20% discount off the price.on getting the food home we tucked in,”fantastic”could not fault anything and dinner was sorted for next day with the bits we could not eat the night before,stuffed. Can’t wait to use again

Went to Purple Pakora New Years Eve, excellent service & food was amazing. Our waiter was Dave he was just coming up to 12 months working there, nothing was too much trouble, any questions about what the different types of curry were, he was very helpful & pleasant with a great personality. We all said what a great night it was and it makes all the difference if you have a lovely waiter, thanks Dave & Purple Pakora. Definitely would recommend 10/10 Christine Doorbar + 3

Ohh my god,!. What an absolute beautiful meal that was. I am so fussy with takeaways, I only order from places with 5 star food hygiene ratings, boy you can tell you have yours. That food was so fresh, coriander in the Indian salad. Wow fantastic. Curry blown my mind, so much flavor. I never finish a meal, but I did this one. Absolutely blown away by the quality and freshness from here. Would 1000 percent recommend, definitely worth the price and was delivered on time. We'll done to all your team, clearly working very hard and it shows. Will definitely be coming to dine in your restaurant next time.

Staff couldn't understand you properly, bad customer service skills. Not really a decent size portions

Random stop on the way home has found a fantastic Indian restaurant. The flavours in the curry were dot on, potentially (outside of my friends wife's cooking) one of the best butter chickens I have tasted. They even made it a bit spicier at my request. Nice atmosphere and fantastic attentive servers. Certainly be coming back again . Bill for two with drunks came in at 55 quid which was decent for decent food.

Food was amazing, shame the same can’t be said for the service. Never been to a restaurant where they scrape the left over food onto plates on your table and then leave it there whilst they take the plates away, drinks were left on the bar that long the ice had melted in the glass, really need to address the way they look after customers losing a lot of money . The service spoilt the night.

I was pleasantly surprised to find such inspiring and tasty Indian food in a sleepy town in Cheshire! Really tasty and authentic flavours, highly recommended.

It was against my better judgement to visit this place as the prices looked a bit steep in my opinion, but I was prepared to pay as apparently it is one of Congleton’s top Indian restaurants. How wrong were these people?! Upon arrival we were asked about drinks and then ordered our food. Now allow me to put some perspective on this. The place was around half full and we did not order starters, just popadoms, which did arrive very promptly and were nice. Thereupon we waited over a full hour for our food. That’s too long. When the food arrived I was very excited. I had ordered a vindaloo and was prepared to have my head blown off by the chilli and hot spices. What arrived was a bland curry which had all the spice of a Balti. I was so disappointed. The other half ordered a chicken shashlik, which I am told was tasteless, with chewy chicken and a lukewarm sauce. His daughter had a chicken masala which had no spice whatsoever, even for a 12 year old. The best things about the whole experience were the hot and spicy Bombay chips and the naan breads, which were tasty as well as massive. All in all, very bland food and extremely poor service. Such a disappointment!!

WOW!!! What an incredible experience, me and my friend went as a birthday treat and the staff were friendly, the starters were beautiful, and the atmosphere was so aesthetically pleasing! A special thank you to Bobby who made the entire experience better with a cheery character. The mains were spot on! i had the Tandoori butter chicken and my friend had the chicken tikka masala! The naan breads were exactly as described by the waiter who took our order in a respectful and professional manner. During the end of our meal the staff played happy birthday music and brought out a birthday sundae. We were not expecting that! Keep up the Good work Purple Pakora

Arranged a birthday party for my mother’s 60th . The restaurant , did a magnificent job. Set up was lovely , food was amazing and my mother enjoyed the surprise . My family have been coming here for years and the food is fabulous. Thank you Mr Bhakt and staff. Khalda

Beer on tap is disgusting and pipes never cleaned. Food gone downhill really bad. And we left without drinking or eating due to a rat running around in the restaurant and another party also cancelled their order and left because of the rats. Do not go there!.

We’ve been to the purple pakora 3 times in the last month , our favourite dishes are the butter chicken and korma , I’ve had curry In Restaurants across the country and I can honestly say without doubt Congleton purple pakora is the best I’ve ever had , it’s really is a 5 star dining experience The flavours are exceptional, the restaurant also looks great with the pink tree and the bubbling water display on the back wall The cheese naan and how it is presented a particular highlight A treasure Congleton should be proud !

It was busy but that in no way affected the food or service. Delicious food served by very pleasant, friendly staff. It was not our first visit here & can't wait to return again!

We decided to go here to celebrate a recent birthday and we had been a few years ago and had a great time When I rang to book I checked to see if they still had a wheelchair accessible toilet. Initially they said they didn't n to have one , but then changed their mind to that 'there should be one ' !?? We decided that there must have been a communication error and booked We arrived on time and were met by a waiter who showed us to our table. We were the only ones in. We ordered the set menu which included unlimited naan bread and rice The staff were hard to understand and he did not really explain if different nan breads were added as an extra cost which we found out later on the bill! The food was very tasty, but the portions were quite small and differed from one portion to another even when we order the same main course. So the unlimited nan bread and rice was useless as there was barely enough of the main course to use up with the initial nan bread. What we ate, was really nice but there was not much of it We all thought it was a bit overpriced The restaurant as a whole looked nice inside, the wall water feature was a good idea but maybe the glass could do with a clean to remove the green algae The wheelchair accessible toilet was accessible, as the person could enter the toile, but, not really useable due to the toilet seat being broken and if anyone sat on it they could fall off it!! Also the toilet needed a good clean and flush!! It was obvious from the pile of chairs outside the toilet, that they had emptied the toilet probably just for us. So, thanks to the staff for removing the chairs, but, maybe it should have been cleaned and checked out for operation before hand! Due to the above we will not be recommending The Purple Pakora. 3 out of 5 stars for everything but the lack of a 100% operational toilet reduces the stars to 1 out of 5 Why would anyone go to an eatery if the toilet was broken!!?!?!?! Answers appreciated!

Ordered a take away for a chicken biryani with a korma sauce. When I got the take away home I discovered I had a chicken biryani with a vegetable sauce. Very disappointed meal ruined as sauce was too hot and full of peppers. Probably won’t bother ordering a take away again from here.

I ordered a takeaway one weekend as I have done many times before, I’ve also dined in the restaurant and left many good reviews. My takeaway was not good first off I ordered a paneer tikka starter and received a main portion and was charged a main , the chicken in my tikka masala was dry as hell, my peshwari naan was just a plain naan . I sent a message twice on Instagram and was ignored. Probably won’t order again and will use another Indian restaurant.

We went for a birthday and we received free balloons on the table, a £5 voucher and also a free desert with everyone singing happy birthday to us. It was brilliant service. Would recommend.

We had a takeaway last night, and when we got home, we realised that there was 1 portion of rice missing from our order. We rang up to let them know immediately and the customer service was fantastic ! The lovely gentleman apologised and delivered a fresh hot rice within 5 minutes of us ringing. Our food was lovely and still hot, even though we had to wait for our rice. Thank you for your amazing customer service and rectifying a mistake with an immediate response. Worth every penny !

I went purple pakora on the 9 august 2023 for a meal out with a friend on arrival to start with the gentleman behind the bar was rude we found the rest of the staff very rude miserable and not friendly at all even service at the table when ordering you could tell the staff they didn’t want to be there . Although they have a good menu choice to choose from the food itself which was served to the table was overcooked bland with no taste whatsoever and the portions they served were very small we asked for a cheesy garlic Nan and a plain one was delivered to the table how can a plain nan taste so bland I have got cardboard in my recycling that would of tasted better never once were we asked if the meal was ok of would you like any more drinks etc and this was on a quite night I dread to think what it would be like when they are busy the meal cost over £75 for 2 people which we only had 2 glasses of wine and a pineapple juice and 2 meals which for a curry house I found very expensive I don’t mind paying money for a nice meal but it was not we won’t ever be visiting there again I strongly recommend people not to waste your money going !!!

Went to this place and it was ,clean and quick service, not many in as it was a Tuesday night ,friendly staff and bagged up uneaten food for us,reasonably priced, Food was really good too,naan breads cooked perfectly, balti was excellent. That was well worth the visit

We had friends that do a curry club every few weeks and the purple pakora was chosen. Soon as we arrived greeted with cant stand there we were by the bar not blocking anywhere. Dont think we seen one staff member smile .Ordered drinks plus water theres 6 of us 1 glass arrived asked for more glasses and jug of water smallest jug arrives not even asmall glass full.Food mediocre hanging naan was the most memorable thing as we all eat currys 2 to 3 times aweek 2 guests enjoyed theres .the other 4 was medium to poor .Think will give this a miss in future.

We had lovely food and great service from George! Very funny, kind and helpful member of staff that perked up our meal and made the experience memorable. We will definitely be back.

I travel a lot on business and enjoy a curry. I had one on Monday and was going to go for a Thai on Tuesday but it was closed so I ended up here. My bill for exactly the same meal was £9.60 more than Monday which is very poor value. The large G&T was £12.30 v £7.95, two poppadums and pickles were £1.90 more, jalfrezi was £2.40 more and the rice 95p more, all adding up to £32.40 v £22.80. I should have gone elsewhere but it was getting late and a lot of places were closed. There is no need for need for greedy profiteering, especially on drinks, service was pretty slow and there were only four tables. I wasn't offered a dessert or a coffee, the bill just appeared, eventually. The food was good but the portion was adequate but only just. I told the chap they need to be competitive or they will lose custom, they have lost mine.

The food was excellent, would definitely recommend.

This was my first time visiting the Purple Pakora in Congleton and I am sorry to say it will be my last. Everything was bad from the moment we stepped into the restaurant. We had to wait for our table whilst the front of house staff tried to find our booking. Once seated and after batting away two large flies that were on the window next to our table, the waiter came to take our drinks order. There were four of us and the three cokes he managed to get right, however he struggled to remember 'vodka, lime and lemonade' and just brought a lemonade. We then ordered our meals to include a garlic naan and a cheese naan. The two naan breads we were brought were plain, dry and tasteless. The chicken tikka was swimming in oil yet the meat was dry and overcooked. We asked for water for the table and the waiter brought one glass. We said that we had asked for a jug of water for the table so he brought a jug of water, but no glasses. One of our party couldn't eat her full meal so asked for it to be parcelled up to go. However, the waiter 'forgot' to tell the kitchen staff and they threw it in the bin. The whole experience was like something out of Fawlty Towers and was not something I would ever want to experience again. The service was absolutely terrible and the food was mediocre at best. The cleanliness of the restaurant and the fact that there were flies buzzing around us was not something you should have to experience when eating. We did complain to the manager before we left and he had the kitchen make up a replacement meal for the one that was binned. I would 100% NOT recommend the Purple Pakora.

Very nice meal and very nice staff - the member of the party who booked the meal just mentioned it was for her birthday and without our request they put balloons and brought out ice cream at the end with a candle in. A very nice touch and the birthday girl was very happy with it. Would recommend and would go back :)

Terrible experience the service was awful had to wait a hour ten minutes just to get one starter :: main meal came same time as starter I’d asked for a mild curry came way to hot really disappointing:, we have used this restaurant many times but tonight was so shocking I’ll be looking for a new Indian restaurant also very overpriced was not good value at all , to busy with takeaways that the restaurant customers suffered .. wasn’t even busy in the restaurant .. definitely won’t return

We went last night for dinner had booked a table the day before for 9pm for 5 of us. The food was good but the service was terrible. The male waiter was rude, and sarcastic and Zara (I think a lady) was even worse and clearly they were fighting with each other behind the bar. We have come here for years. Please sort it out.

I haven't visited Purple pakora for years and my memories were a place took a lot of beating. This time i was so disappointed the service was ok food not as good as in the past. There seemed to be no flavor with the meal. we all were disappointed and honestly wouldn't re book. Prices were very high for an average meal.

Went with a mate on Saturday. Food was excellent, service was shocking. Ordered our drinks, pint of Cobra and a Vodka & Coke, delivered to the next table minus the vodka! Food ordered and again delivered to the next table (a different next table) Asked for the bill and waited nearly 10 minutes for it before getting up to leave and going to the bar to settle up, our tab was still in the tray and hadn't been added up. As I say Food was spot on, service was awful.

Portions are smaller for same price the staff are young kids they have no idea about manners or what you are asking them I asked for several things 1 being extra garlic on naan bread it arrived this hadn’t happened I asked for a copy of the itemised bill they didn’t even know what I wanted the table next to us ordered a. Madras a korma arrived 1 of the so called management was adamant it was a madras. A madras isn’t yellow and takes of coconut very poor service and overpriced. The pickle tray for the starters. There’s minimum in the pots so you have to order a second tray and charged for it it was very unorganised will not be going again will try the new Indian. In the centre of. Congleton

We went into Purple Pakora with some friends on a Friday evening.... we didn't book so there was a 15 minute wait for a table which we didn't mind, so we ordered drinks. Got sat down, another 20 minutes later, no drinks, no attempt to...

Great restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was really good. Black pepper chicken was an absolute highlight.

Disappointing experience last night (29/12/22). Service was poor, food was okay. Plenty of staff working so no excuse for the service being so mediocre. Wouldn’t recommend.

wish it could be less than 1 ⭐️ took 90 mins for our meal, 4x times to ask for a drink and none of the waiters were looking after us. Order was partially wrong then they proceeded to try and blame us for their incompetency! Plus food has given many of our party a bad stomach ache and more so a sour taste. Shan’t be returning, we suggest you don’t either. Don’t visit if you’ve got other places to be cause if we hadn’t have asked repeatedly for our order we’d still be there. Massive shame as previously good.

Profoundly disappointing. 20 Dec 2022. We had a family meal there 2 weeks ago. Food good. Service rubbish. Drinks ordered were left on the bar undelivered. No restaurant management. We got up and fetched our drinks. Prior to that, I've had frequent take aways these last few months, post covid. Portion size decreased but price same as pre covid. Tolerable but irksome. Tonight's take away. I've got severe indigestion afterwards. Price has gone up. Portion size gone down again, quality gone down, chicken quantity down, gee gone up ten fold. I soaked up as much as possible of the oil slick with tissue paper before eating. Indigestion. That's me finished. I won't be going here anymore, to pay more for less x2, NO. You should do same and perhaps they'll get the message!

Could not fault the food one bit. Deliciois, and loved the huge naan breads. But went early on, on a Saturday evening, 5:30. For 2 of us, and service was extremely slow. I'd understand if the restaurant was full bit it wasn't.

Absolutely phenomenal restaurant, one of the best Indians I've ever been to. The sauces with poppadoms were superb, the naan was so big it was actually pretty funny, and the curries were excellent too. I couldn't recommend this place any higher.

My girlfriend and I thought it would be a nice idea to come here due to the outstanding reviews we’d heard before and right those reviews were. We we’re catered by a lovely waitress was (Nina I think) and when we went to the bar...

Absolutely shocking experience and we ended up walking out before we even ordered. Asked for poppadoms whilst we checked out the menu only to be told we weren't allowed to order those until we placed the full order - odd? Ordered a bottle of pinot grigio, they asked if we wanted rose (we didn’t), then served the wrong wine which was warm. We asked for a cold bottle of anything white but were told they had no cold white wine in the whole restaurant. At all. Staff completely uninterested so we left. No surprise that the restaurant is pretty much empty.

Arrived at 8.30pm, didn’t leave until 11pm and that was with food left over. Waited over half an hour before we had our drinks order taken, which arrived maybe 20 mins later. Waited way too long for our food order to be taken, and food took close to 1 1/2 hours to arrive. Shocking & ignorant service. By the time our food arrived, we were too tired to eat it and ended up taking it home. Which wasn’t even enjoyable anyway. We asked if we could have some more drinks due to waiting so long, we got ignored by the waiter. Bill come to £142, complete waste of money.

Went in without a booking on a Saturday evening and got a table for four. Fast service, friendly, efficient staff, tremendous food.

Food was average Toilets were shabby

Loved the Resturant. But don’t understand why the portions are now smaller. The price has increased, understandable . But a Tandoori mixed grill, needs a chicken breast not leg. Will return, but hope they return to normal size portions.

Best Indian restaurant for miles around.

After reading some reviews we nearly cancelled. However we went and we had a fantastic meal and the service was great. If there was any criticism there was greeting when you arrive just stood around waiting. Great food would definitely go again.

Went for a family birthday, food was bang average however the manager got really funny when we produced a meerkat meal discount coupon. Put a dampener on the night. He came out with an instruction manual that says you have to advise of the meerkat promotion when you book. Nowhere on the website did it say this. His attitude was horrendous. Not been back since he was that bad. Not sure if they still do that meerkat meal thing but if they do beware.....
