Coriander is hands down one of the best places to get curry! Their curry is absolutely amazing, bursting with flavors that will make your taste buds dance. And let me tell you, the atmosphere there is on another level. It's cozy, inviting, and just adds to the overall dining experience. If you're a fan of delicious curry, Coriander is a must-visit. Trust me, you won't regret it!

very nice place, foods are amazing, corianda mixed platter, mixed grill, bengal fish, sag paneer , garlic naan are mostly recommended dishes. staffs behavior are amazing and very friendly. highly recommended for family dinner and party 🎉👍

Every lover of Indian sub-continent food should ave a favourite restaurant that delivers consistent quality every time. The Corriander, Amersham is my go-to restaurant for any and every occasion, in fact, who needs an occasion, just any day will do. The food is always excellent whether dining in or taking away. The table service is prompt without being pushy. At busy times the takeaway service can be a little slower than estimated, but it is always worth the wait, as the food never disappoints.

Its becoming increasingly difficult to find good quality traditional Indian restaurants these days so I decided to hop on the train to Amersham and try the Coriander. I visited with my daughter for an early lunch (a Thursday), and we had the place to ourselves which was nice! The restaurant was spotless and the tables nicely presented. Service was prompt, courteous and friendly. We ordered Popadoms, the Mixed Grill, Chicken Madras, Aloo Gobi and Naan bread. The popadoms were perfect and the accompanying chutneys fresh and vibrant. The Mixed Grill was nicely spiced as was the Aloo Gobi, however the Madras although very fresh and the chicken beautifully cooked, was heavy with lime juice and very different to the traditional madras I was expecting to the extent it didn't taste like an Indian curry. Portion sizes were generous and everything was perfectly cooked. In general the flavours were a little more subtle than I'm used to (apart from the lime Madras!) but this isn't necessarily a bad thing. We will definitely go back as we enjoyed our experience - it's a smart well kept restaurant with excellent service, high quality food at a reasonable price, and I really want to give it 5 stars !

We use The Coriander regularly, and have never had a bad experience, and today (Valentines Day) was no different !!! The Coriander is always my go to Indian restaurant around Amersham . The restaurant is contemporary and laid out beautifully, the staff are excellent, friendly and attentive but the food takes this brilliant restaurant to another level !! I’ve tried many different curries, but always try and have something different when I can . More recently I’ve favoured their incredible Tandoori Sea Bass or fabulous Lamb Chops Massala , but this evening decided to try a different curry , and went for their Jingha Balchou which is a medium hot , sweet and sour curry with the most sumptuous Butterfly King Prawns and fresh mushrooms ……Simply one of the best curries I have ever had !! My wife who is vegetarian had the Paneer Korai which she said was equally as good, full of flavour and beautifully presented Add in the Mushroom Bhaji , which is not a traditional bhaji, but the most flavourful mushrooms in a stunning sauce , wonderful garlic naan and a couple of decent drinks , and it all made for an absolutely fabulous experience once again !! Being Valentine's Day , the tables were covered in faux rose petals , but unlike the majority of restaurants they don’t take advantage of the day and bump up their prices , yet still presented my wife with a lovely wrapped single rose at the end !!! The only surprising thing, is that given all the above, the restaurant was not packed to the hilt , which was a shame , as they deserve all the accolades they get ! I cannot recommend The Coriander any higher…simply brilliant !!!

Good food ,staff really busy. Good buzz as a Saturday night. We all enjoyed our meals. Excellent .only problem we had was the noise level was too loud so it was very hard to have a conversation on our table so we left as soon as we finished eating and had drinks at the local Boot n Slipper.

This is my local curry house, and I can't believed I haven't reviewed it before. There's always a nice welcoming atmosphere, the service is by and large excellent and finally the food is consistently good. When we go away on holiday it is always the 1st restaurant/takeaway we gravitate to on our return. The Dhansak is the best we've eaten anywhere and basically I would recommend anything on the menu. As a starter the Jhal or Prawn Puri's are both amazing. I could go on and on, but I should let you be the judge next time your in Amersham. Its also conveniently located right by the station.

Only place for a really decent curry in the area. Great atmosphere and service.

This has become our go-to place in Amersham after living here for many years and trying all options. Clean, modern, spacious setting, and consistently high quality and tasty food which doesn’t shake up the stomach the next day. Thoroughly recommended for groups of friends or any other similar social setting.

Always come here for either a take out or eat in curry. Choices are plentiful, staff attentive and can't do enough.

A group of 10 of us met for dinner. Everyone enjoyed it : we all ate well and appreciated the excellent service. They were all pleasantly surprised by the size of the bill. Good value for money. People who had not been before said they would definitely be coming back.

Delivery. Took 2hrs. Prawns small, chicken dry. I knew it was poor but needs must on this occasion. Glad I wasn't paying.

This is an outstanding, quality Indian Restaurant with excellent food. Every time I visit the area, I always make a point of dining at "The Coriander". Along with the Lamb Chop starter, the "Adha Diya" and "Noorjahani" dishes are my favorites. Every dish I have has here has been tasty, flavorsome and to the perfect level of spice. This is a one of my favorite Indian restaurants and beats anything I've had in London's West End. This restaurant does give the option to tip, when paying the bill.

Wife and I visited for our first month anniversary and it was great. We shared a Chicken Mitaas which was succulent, before I had the Chicken 65 and she had the Hariali Chicken. It was cooked perfectly, not a long wait time, and the portions were very good. Garlic naan was great as well. Highly recommended.

The best lamb bhuna curry I’ve had in years! I always order this from restaurants as it’s been a favourite of mine for over 20 years, and I’m always disappointed, but wow! Perfect! The lamb is so tender and the curry is spot on. Decent sized portions and good waiting time. Thank you for making my birthday! 🥰 happy to have found our new regular curry house! Looking forward to eating in one day!

Good Bangladeshi quality food. Greats service and great flavours. Seek kebabs maybe were a bit dry and minimal, felt like they have been microwaved. Somosas were pre made filo pastry. Main curries were really good. Quality and fresh.

Went there with thirteen friends. The staff were great and everyone got what they ordered first time. The food was very nice. A very accommodating place and an enjoyable evening.

Family of 5 adults went for a curry on a Sunday lunch. The service was excellent and 4 of us had the buffet and said how excellent the food was. Fresh and tasty! Will definitely return.

Me and my husband visited for my birthday, and will definitely go back! The food was delicious, big portions, and the service amazing, everyone was so friendly and attentive. Really enjoyable evening.

Just a caveat that the take away delivery is normally good. Unfortunately tonight the saag baji had the consistency of rabbit droppings and the taste of cardboard. Phoned to make them aware and they said will give you a free saag Baji next time. On tonight’s experience I wouldn’t eat it if it was free. Main dishes were ok and they assured me it’s the same chef but he either forgot to add oil / butter or both or it was his first night as a chef. Very disappointing and normally an 8-9/10

Always good food and good value here. Some of the chefs speciality dishes are especially good with lovely spicing and freshly cooked. All four of us really enjoyed our meals here.

Picked up a takeaway for the first time having eaten on the Vauxhall restaurant previously. Wife and daughter told me what I already knew. Best curry ever. Take away wise - nice and hot when collected and on time for a busy Christmas Eve. Highly recommended, by the whole family!

My friends and I had the best night here on Saturday. The food was delicious and the staff were super friendly and attentive, in a really busy restaurant. I had the tandoori mixed grill which was amazing. Delicious, tender and full of flavour. Thank you guys.

There was absolutely zero flavour to any of the food I had. I am Indian myself and this is a bad example of the Indian cuisine. Although this may be to the taste of those who are not accustomed to real Indian food, if you are from the Indian diaspora, avoid this place at all costs. I genuinely wonder if the owners/chef/staff eat this kind of food at home.

I have always used the Coriander in Amersham (some 10years) for takeaways, in general the food, service and value have been very good. However over the last few takeaway meals it has all gone wrong. The food has been dry, tasteless and very mean on meat content and portion size. Example—Tarka daal main £8 about 10mm deep daal in the container (not enough for four people). Sorry Coriander do you want me to order two. Can’t afford it. This has gone on about three/four times so enough is enough I cannot trust you for a good takeaway every time. Very embarrassing when you have people around and it’s a very poor meal. I really hope you sort your problems out.

Such a friendly atmosphere. Great food. If you are not sure what to eat the waiter's are thrilled to reccomend.

One of the worst Indian food I have ever tested. Chicken curry was not as per the menu description and chicken was not cooked properly. One of the veg curry has uncooked potatoes. If Amersham has any other good Indian restaurants then this would be definitely closed.

Great food but the service was rather slow. No excuses as we went early and they were not busy.

My son and I went for Mother’s Day and had the Buffet. The staff were so lovely to us and always checking in on us. I was surprised there was nothing on the buffet I had heard of but my son loved his butter chicken and the chicken dish I had was amazing. I see previous criticism of the fixed starter , you get a regular sized onion bhajee, a lamb piece I did not try and a chicken wing with salad. Seemed great value to me. The bread …… urg what can I say, I could have eaten basket after basket lol , sooooo good I had a French coffee for desert that was done properly, no whipped cream from a can in sight ! My only slight complaint was the popadoms were £1 each , these should be complimentary in my opinion. I’ll be back in April for sons 11th birthday and look forward to trying the wider menu. Really lovely place and they looked after everyone when I was there.

We have been coming back to this restaurant for years (check my previous review in Oct 2019 for proof!) it’s still just as beautiful as I explained before. I constantly compare curry to the curry served to me in the coriander. It’s to die for. Couldn’t recommend it more!

Spacious, fresh and modern interior, pleasant staff. Food was tasty, a rather extensive menu with plenty of choice and portions were generous. Highly recommended.

Dined in this evening for valentines. First time visiting and we shall definitely be back. Set menu for the occasion, was a great deal. Got my main mixed up but very quickly resolved and very apologetic. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Food was very very tasty, we will definitely be back and will definitely order take away some time to. Only downside is only room for a few cars on the small front, we were late due to struggling to find parking on the streets around and about.

First time trying, was recommended by a friend. Best curry I've had, so flavourful and authentic taste. Very reasonable priced too. Beautiful decor, free parking was a bonus.

Was on business trip in Amersham, and fancied a curry after eating burgers last few weeks. Turned up at The coriander, what a stunning place. Very friendly atmosphere floor manager was amazing from the moment we walked in. I can’t praise this place enough. When ordering we asked for every dish to be spiced up slightly more than usual, it came out just perfect. Food and plates came out piping hot. Manager sorted us out a floater coffee on the house which was a nice touch. Food was top notch, defo worth a visit if anyone is in Amersham or nearby. Highly recommended.

Disapointed that i went to pick up my takeaway to find staff not wearing facemasks. I wear one to protect myself and to respect and protect staff... just shows little respect or regard for customers. Two of the dishes ordered were way below the usual standard... not a good experience. I'll give a poor over a terrible because the standards and the food are usually much higher than this, I think the management may need to find out whats happening.

We have had several takeaways from Coriander and they used to be so good but while the service remains great and it is good value locally the food is just really poor quality and you would be better paying a bit more to get something far better. The madras was watery and the daal was so greasy it was inedible. The only high points were the rice and bread..

Tasty food with a personal touch- they gave out chocolates to their loyal customers at the end of 2020, which was lovely. We wouldn't go to anyone else in terms of quality of food and service. Would thoroughly recommend. (Written from takeout experience)

So sad that we couldn’t dine in because of lockdown but the food was excellent as usual.Poppadoms with plenty of sauces, then tandoori mixed grill, king prawn korai, chicken tikka and chicken passanda for mains with naan bread. The peshwari naan is particularly good.This is our go-to curry house and we have never been disappointed.I can’t wait to see the restaurant buzzing again.

Without a doubt the best curry in the area. Food is fresh and full of flavour. Service is friendly and it’s reasonably priced, can’t ask for more than that :-)

We ordered a takeaway online and it was a simple process, delivery was prompt. Sadly the food was uninspiring. The onion bhaji's were fresh and crispy and the free poppadum's were a nice touch. However, the chicken tikka masala and the the chicken tikka Balti were disappointing. The chicken was overcooked so a little tough and the sauce lacked genuine flavour. The naan breads were fresh and flavoursome,

Just had 2 mains and various side dishes delivered and I’m very disappointed!! The madras was watery just as if they had only used the gravy and no other spice . The naans soggy and under cooked . I will not be ordering from them again !!!!

Haven't visited the Corriander for at least 2 years or more!! A very very warm welcome, staff remembered us and were absolutely brilliant!! Fantastic service and as remembered beautiful beautiful food!! We shan't leave it so long next time, had forgotten how good it is plus always a great atmosphere!! Staff are great too!! A fantastic evening.

Used the Kukd strive to order food. Timed collection of 8:15 but actual handover of food was 8:50 with barely an apology. Priority seemed to be given to their delivery service. The food is good but not great. On the basis of tonight’s performance, I won’t be rushing back.

We ordered takeaway, against my better judgement (previous food was cold and lamb tough)at 730pm and told that it would be with us at 835pm. We rang at 925pm and told it would be 10 more minutes (935pm latest). Rang again at 945pm. One excuse after another. It finally arrived COLD at 959pm. Enjoy that £53.00. You'll never see another cent from us. Avoid this place like the plague. Awful customer service and below average food.

We have been enjoying this restaurant for many years but the quality of the food has deteriorated sharply over the last 12 months. I know a lot of places are suffering from Covid and have to cut costs but today’s dinner included 2 nan breads that were well past their best and had been simply reheated - felt at least 2 days old. Flavours of mains were a also lacking. We used to look forward to eating here but we won’t be back.

Don't know why this restaurant isn't more popular. We went a couple of times during our visit last winter and each time there were very few customers (pre-COVID). Our server was very attentive, friendly and helpful. The food was well presented and delicious, and reasonably priced. All in all, we will definitely go back on our next visit to Amersham.

Went back to the Coriander Indian restaurant on Saturday which was my first meal out since lockdown was lifted. Everything was organised well with tables taken out to ensure correct distancing, sanitizer on every table and all staff wore masks. Food was amazing and staff very friendly. Rapidly becoming my Indian restaurant of choice.

This is one of the worst Indian restaurants I have had food from, honestly it is shockingly poor food. The starters looked like they were cooked with no salt or seasoning, the mains, the sauces were runny and had zero flavour. I have never left a bad review for a takeaway/Resturant but actually felt obligated to write one for these guys. Nothing against the workers because the service wasn’t bad, but the food was disgusting. Highly recommend eating anywhere else but here

Dishes are Indian , taste is not. Very unfortunate. We were with kids and we were told to mandatorily order full dishes for each one of the kids ....there is some arithmetic beyond my comprehension . Overall , I won't go back .

The food at The Coriander is very recommended. They do take away as well so if you're ever stuck for ideas then please have a look at this place.

I used to love this place the food was great and the staff were always polite..l the last couple of time we have ordered a takeaway I have been very disappointed with the food and the staff. My latest take away order the person taking the call was less than polite and the food ordered was not to a good standard at all. The poppadoms could not be eaten as they tasted of stale oil. ......on the whole a second disappointing meal. Such a shame.

This is our one of many local Indian takeaways/restaurants and it is rare we will go to any of the others because The Coriander is the best food and value for money by a mile. Today we decided to give the Sunday buffet a go. It is only available 12-5pm and costs £12.50. We were shocked that for this price we received 4 mini starters each, naan bread, rice and then a choice of 5 mains (all you can eat on the mains and rice of course.) The mains today were: Veggie Chefs special, Chana Masala, Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb of some sort and Chicken 65 (Chef’s special.) Not only was the buffet hot, tasty and good quality but the selection of dishes cater to most people and are what I would deem “fan favourites.” We will 100% go back again on a Sunday and yes that’s ahead of the traditional Sunday Roast!

Visited the restaurant last night with a couple of friends. Lovely atmosphere, great table service and best of all the food was AMAZING. I had picked a dish that meant that the lamb was seared and therefore had tougher pieces of meat than my friend's dish which is what I thought mine would be like. When I said this to them, with no issue they changed it to the softer, I guess slower cooked lamb. It was absolute food heaven, to the point that it was hard to keep the conversation going whilst eating! I really appreciated their no quibble or fuss change of dish despite it being no fault of their own. Gorgeous food and such good value for money. We will be going back again, cannot wait. Thank you to the staff if you are reading, we had a wonderful evening. You are now my go to place for this type of food.

Good service & food, we as a family like spicy food so was disappointed there was no spicy dishes to choose from. Quite bland.

Amazing food! Lovely staff! Extremely helpful with allergen information and were very patient with us during the process. They even called back to check an allergy on one of the dishes! When the food cake they had separated the gluten free food for us and went through the order to ensure it was correct. Will 100% be coming back.

Interesting fusion Asian cuisine. A lively atmosphere, usually quite busy.

Best curry house in Amersham. Not authentic Indian (or Bangladeshi) but not many are in the UK. Staff aren't always the most receptive especially if eating with an Asian female... However it's the best the town has to offer!

Food was so bad. When I booked the restaurant I ask for a time and then was told to come 15 minutes later. Not impressed.

Ate here last night. Pre-ordered the lamb special, which was overpriced and underwhelming and has left me suffering for the last 24 hours. Very costly food and appalling service from surly waiting staff. Even had to go and get our own water,and cutlery when couldn't get service. Worst evening in a restaurant in years.. Will not be going back.

A very expensive evening with very poor service and disappointing food. Why is the service so slow and indifferent? Avoid.

Nothing to write home about, but fairly a decent place. Not a Indian but seems to be a Bangladeshi place. Did not enjoy the sweet tikka masala. However enjoyed the Jhinga (prawn) green jhul and the meat platter. Being a costal country I presume all the fish dishes would be good. Has potential. Would recommend to stay away from the regular (Bhuna, jalphrazi, tikka , madras, ..) and try the non regular ones you just might be surprised.
