Popped in here after a quick bit of local research following a visit to Hughenden Manor a few miles away. Turned out to be a good choice. Very nice Chicken Naga and Veggie Jalfrezi. Reasonable prices and a complimentary drink at the end. We were quite early, so it was a bit quiet.

I booked a table for 8.30 and arrived at this time. I was told there were no spare tables and there was a 45 minute wait if I wanted a table! The employee was not particularly apologetic, did not seem overly bothered. Really unacceptable. I won't be going there ever again. If it was my restaurant, I'd be horrified, hugely apologetic, offering free drinks and bar snacks etc until a table was available.

The food was very mixed. The chicken tikka main bright read ans wet! It was not chargrilled ffrom the tandoor. It had lots of wet onions served with it. Not much flavour. The aubergine was in small cubes and not strips as described. The Tarkha Dahl was fresh but tasteless. The rice was ok but the raita had brown liquid floating on top and cucumber dumped in the middle. There was no onion. The dishes were not as per the menu. It was disappointing.

Food was hot on delivery which was good, but the quality and taste was pretty poor. Have eaten from here before and has been 100 x better. Tonight was in adequate

This is our local Indians and tonight’s food was awesome as ever.

A nice place but the food had just a lot more sugar added than expected, the first mouthful is great but it can start to get a little tiresome. Suppose we are used to North Indian food which is spicy not sweet.

Delicious curries, well priced and friendly service. Great flavours and good portion size, lovely atmosphere.

Possibly the worst Indian food I have ever had. The chicken dishes all tasted the same. Halim is not cooked this way. Lamb lentils all separate! The food is full of artificial colour. Do not waste money.

I've been a regular customer for years, Shahins remains my 'go to' Indian restaurant. A definite step up above the competition. Particular favourite dish is the KP Balti - vindaloo hot. They are more than happy to bespoke a dish to your needs, service is fab. Deliveries exemplary. Why go anywhere else ??

Thoroughly enjoyed the night, waiters attentive, food great and atmos the best ! A great find in Little Chalfont, been going here a while. The balti dishes are simply the best.

I highly recommend this restaurant, the menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouthwatering starters and main courses. For appetisers we tried the shahin’s special, badami murgh, chicken tikka and sheek kebab. For main course we had butter chicken, korai kebab, khyber, lamb biriyani, lamb jalfrezi, chicken tikka with garlic and plain naan, they were all exquisite. Everything we ate was freshly prepared using best quality ingredients to produce dishes that are simply delightful. Me and my family look forward to dine in soon.

The tastiest Indian around. The lamb korma was amazing, the lamb was so tender it just melted in the mouth. Most definitely our favourite Saturday night takeaway

The meal was ok! The restaurant gave us a keema naan instead of peshwari, and delivered later than promised, but all in all it was an ok experience.

I was disappointed with my meal, the pathia was extremely sweet and the lamb was fatty and unfortunately the whole meal was cold. I will not be ordering anything from here again.

Had to phone twice and was told each time to wait 10mins

Six to nine months ago this was the by far the best local place, freshly cooked and full of flavour but has been in steady decline - perhaps new chef or management slipping. Apathy or too busy? Food seems to be increasing bland and lack of fresh herbs. Not convinced on the freshly cooked or differential on sauces!!!! Is coriander out of season? Can be a long wait for collecting a takeaway. Hope Shahin's can up their game.........

My first visit to Shahins tonight. Picked up a takeaway, the special banquet deal for two. The quality of the food was amazing and plentiful, will do us for two nights. Great value and service, would highly recommend.

I love the lentil soup, the vegetable biryani and sag and mushroom bhaji. My husband always orders the lamb passanda and peshwari naan. The food is always, fresh and tasty and not oily or full of sugar.

Greasy,desperately needed salt,fatty meat,the keema nann only had meat in 1 half,,I did not eat any of it,a couple of mouthfulls and the grease was awful,very disappointed especially as this is the first time I have not been satisfied with your food,I am surprised as it is normally lovely

Usually my go to place but tonight I placed an online order. They accepted it and then 30 mins later cancelled it. I called and they said they were too busy and didn't have drivers. Then hung up on me. Why accept the order then take 30 mins to cancel it. And then be so rude as to hang up on a regular customer.

We hadn’t used Shahin’s in quite a while but gave it a go on takeaway. What a pleasant surprise. The menu has some really unusual options when compared to the bog standard, it’s not cheap but pricing is reasonable for what you get. Will definitely use again soon.

Shahins butter chicken is the best I have ever had and I would never go there without ordering it, even if only to take it away. They also have some different starters and vegetable dishes. I particularly like the aubergine and courgette vegetable side dishes. As usual we had a really enjoyable dinner last night.

Rice, poppadoms and naan good, but the mushroom bhaji flavour killed by too much coriander on top, and the butter chicken really disappointing, with a sweet sickly sauce which made my teeth itch. Have you changed the recipe?

I don’t usually write reviews but I was actually disgusted with the food from here. I spent about 70£ and everything was awful. Got a long hair in so called pulao rice as free .Totally west of money.
