I just wanted to review The Chatgaon in Chesham. The food at the Chatgaon was absolutely amazing. I have not had such high quality indian food in Chesham before. I had the chicken dhansak which was absolutely sublime. The keema nan and alloo nan were some of the best I have had in the country. Thank you for making this bank holiday Monday very special. The kids loved the poppadoms and sauces.

Food from the Chatgaon has always been superb every time I order. Service from the staff and owner is excellent!! Compliments to the Chef.

really nice food, the lamb chops are expensive as you only get 2! but very tasty, king prawn dansak lovely but could do with more prawns and lentils cooked a bit more as some were hard

I had a chicken korma, rice and roti. Whilst the korma sauce was lovely and rice and roti very good, sadly most of the chicken was chewy and inedible. Delivery came early which was a plus!

Summer 2023 I have had deliveries from the Chatgaon regularly over the last year and they never disappoint. The Adadia remains a particular favourite. There are good vegetarian options and milder dishes which are really tasty. Summer 2022 I've used the Chatgaon a couple of times this summer and they're back to their normal excellence :-). February 2022 Previously I gave Chatgaon 5 stars - see review below. I'm sorry to say that the quality has dropped the last couple of times. The mushroom pakoras were fairly nasty with thick solid batter. The naans were quite charred in places, though otherwise fine. The cheddar mushrooms were in a very runny sauce which used to be thicker. On the positive side my shashlik masala was good and the rice and omelette were up to the usual standard. It's sad to find an exceptional restaurant has become average. Summer 2020 Reopened today with new Covid19 precautions. Delivered on time and with good handling and distancing. Great food, better than ever! We'll definitely be ordering again.

Naan and onion bhaji were good. Ordered lamb rogan josh (lamb was tender and nice), Chicken Korai and chicken tikka dopiaza. Chicken was tough and chewy and the sauces were bad. All tasted the same and they were indistinguishable

I have been using this take away for years but recently the food hasn’t been at it usual standard. Yesterday I ordered a takeaway and the main course wasn’t what I ordered very disappointed because it’s a treat if and wen I can afford it . 🙁 tried again because I am stupid,starter fine no rice was delivered and the chicken main tasted sour 🫤 hope I am not ill tonight, gave them the benefit of doubt but the food is terrible. What a shame , and the prices have gone up

This is the third time now that I have ordered from this restaurant and the second and the most recent third time has left me with a little bitterness in my mouth, the first time I ordered from them I was given a decent portion with enough chicken so a good ratio to sauce, well the second and third time there was hardly any chicken, tonight I counted 5 small pieces which is not acceptable considering the cost of take outs these days, the food itself is nice and like the verity but this is not acceptable to deliver food that only has a small amount of protein

I adore this place. The food never disappoints. Every dish is delicious, and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. The green chicken tikka masala is out of this world. Highly recommended.

Chicken Curry was bland and a bit undercooked

First time ordering from Chatagon. Food was delivered on time by a friendly driver and was hot. Dishes were nice but they were quite watery. We were also missing a rice dish. Overall we would probably order from here again.

Food is lovely, BUT both times we have ordered for delivery, they have forgotten something. 1st time was the free Naan you're supposed to get with the Tandoori Mixed Grill, second time it was the salad & dip you're also supposed to get with the Tandoori mixed grill. Other than that, top notch food & service, highly recommend.

We’ve ordered from Chatgaon before and it was brilliant but this time it was just ok, not the quality we are used to from them. The bread is normally amazing but just not up to standard this time unfortunately

We have found the korma to be very watery this time but overall nice

Very very long wait for food despite asap being selected. Uncooked veg in shaslick. Shaslick tasted like tikka. Food was tepid. Missing bombay also side dish which was suppose to be complimentary. No commentary poppadoms despite bring well Iver an hour kate.

Food was good, although on Just Eat it states you get a Naan bread with the tandoori mixed grill and we never got one, but everything else was great. Would definitely recommend & will be ordering again.

Curry was a bit watery and the korma was a bit more spiced then usual. One of the curry’s had also spilt a little in the bag. Apart from that it was nice food

We always usually order from Chesham Tandoori (who I believe my be a related company to Chatgaon), and we have ALWAYS had a perfect service; whether take-away, or sit in. Tonight, for a birthday occasion we decided that we would try Chatgaon bearing in mind the believed business situation mentioned above, and whilst the food itself was perfectly lovely, it was disappointingly cold. We had to reheat it before eating which we have never had to do.

Easily the best Indian food in Chesham. Always delivered bang on time; food always piping hot and so well cooked, with excellent use of spices and high quality ingredients. Absolutely nothing negative to say about The Chatgoan. Brilliant!

Tandoori roti is too hard to chew..

Last time we used them they were extremely late with awful communication and rude reception on the phone when questioned. Gave them another chance tonight and just as bad. Do yourself a favour and stick with Chesham Tandoori - their food is much better and they are a pleasure to deal with.

Hate to say this but I found the tikka masala wvery watery and bland. The chicken was over cooked and a bit rubbery.

Always really good although less chicken in the korma which was disappointing. Also bag delivery and service charge was added.

Extremely diasppointed with the service and 'quality' of my food. Ended up having to throw it away. When I called to explain - no-one was willing to admit fault, have ordered from here before and the consistently make errors with the food. Big waste of time and money - would rather starve than eat from there. Poor Poor Poor. Save your time and money.

Disgusting food! Staff are smoking near the kitchen, hardly anyone speaks decent English. Order was completely wrong, very unhappy with overall service. Will NOT be going back. Would show pictures, but may make people feel sick!

For the main courses (tikka masala & Korma) , chicken looked under cooked as well as the sauces being very runny. In general they both lacked flavour. The pilau rice was also below standard. The food is so always delicious - I have never had a bad meal from here, and I keep coming back for more! The restaurant and delivery staff are really friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended.

Have ordered from here many times, but today a slightly larger than normal order, due to family round, and I had 2 rice's missing from my order. Then had to wait over 30 mins for rice. Then had 1 arrive. Not happy

The chicken tikka masala portion was poor - small pieces of chicken, but not many, and the sauce was watery. The mushroom pakora were revolting - like rubber. The naan was nice. But overall the food was really poor quality.

First time ordering from this restaurant and I have to say the food was really good and tasty with plenty of flavour. My only issue was that they missed out one of the side dishes of Bombay Aloo but having spoken to them they have agreed to add that for free to my next order and because we enjoyed the rest of the meal so much I will be ordering again this coming weekend. So we’ll see if it comes up to the same standard, and with no missed items.

What a shame!!! Used Chatagon for over 10 years...but unfortunately have used them twice recently and second time, for a second chance. Nearly 2 hours after ordering, having to ring and ring to chase....not great service for long standing custom.

Ordered onion bhaji, chicken shashlik, saag Dhal, prawn dhansak, pilau rice and a papadum. Order arrived a bit late, but no problem, it was just 15 mins. Food was delicious as always, but the prawn dhansak arrived as a lamb dhansak. It was still tasty and the lamb was soft and tender. We were looking forward to the prawn though. Bonus 5 papadums instead of 1.

My prawn on purée was a disappointment. There was very little sauce and my rice was very hard and dry. Very unusual and disappointing
