nice meal and friendly staff, really enjoyed our meal we really enjoyed our meal the best in Trowbridge. My partner and I had different dishes but both were lovely.

Whilst the food tasted good, the vegetable curry and the vegetable masala were really disappointing because they consisted of mainly peas,diced carrot, green beans and cabbage, which made the dish very runny and without proper substance. (I suspected packet frozen veg?) This was particularly disappointing when you know there are other lovely vegetables such as potatoes, cauliflower, okra, aubergine etc on the menu. Come on Tale of Spice you can do better.

Can't fault the food at all. Be warned however, delivery is VERY hit and miss.

Incredible, delicious and prompt delivery. The lamb naga and the chicken akbori massala were absolutely delicious, naan light and crunchy and pilau fragrant.

Good food. The stuffed Partha was replaced when we complained about its flavour with out any problems. Nice people.

My favourite curry house bar none. The naga rice is out of this world, as is the chicken naga. I’ve just moved back to Trowbridge from BoA and their sister restaurant, river spice, is equally as fantastic!

chicken tikka pathia... the best curry ever and from this place, it's the best version of that curry that I have ever had.

Small dining room so was noisy during our visit with a couple of celebrations going on but excellent food and although it was my first time, it certainly won't be my last!

Great butter chicken and perfect rice. Very old design but the food is very tasty and staff are really nice!

My wife and I visited Tale of India Trowbridge and had a great curry totally stuffed when we left. staff very attentive and ended the night with a complementary whisky and a Bailey's for my wife. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, We came for the weekend and stayed at the premier Inn and the tale of India is approx 100 yards from the hotel.

Ignore the 1☆ rating. I have ate in and have had many takeaways for many years. I consider this establishment to be the best Indian in Trowbridge. Never any problems with the orders and definitely never experienced Delhi belly! Keep up the good work guys. John R

Do you actually make your own naan fresh or was it bought pre made? Since the food arrived early I would have expected the naans to have been hot. And those naan weren't cheap for the size and quality.

The food was good as usual. I also ordered an Appletizer 250ml and did not receive it. Very disappointed as I was looking forward to having this drink.

Heerlijke gerechten. Goede toelichting bij het maken van menukeuze. Van zoet tot zeer pittig. Ik raad dit restaurant aan.

We collected takeaway and got home to find our naan bread was missing. We phoned up to let them know and they sent a new one out (plus an extra one) immediately- it was delivered less than 10 mins after we phoned. Excellent service and the food was delicious.

Eat in meal. All the staff were polite, helpful and friendly. We had the veggie set meal for two. Very tasty, especially the masala (though could have had a few more veggies in it. ) We had enough left overs to take some home. No room for dessert.

Best Indian I’ve ever had!! Ordered for collection, ready in 20 mins. Friendly staff and clean and welcoming environment. Travelled 10 mins home and was still hot when opening. The best vegetable Biryani I’ve ever had. Won’t go anywhere else now.

Me and my friends had a take away from them tonight and ordered some chips when we received the order and payed over 50 pounds for it we went to plate it up, only to discover the chips were stone cold. We rang the restaurant and asked for the full meal to be sent out as the chips were the main part as we didn't have rice and since we had already plated half the order we couldn't give the food back that they had sent out already. When the delivery women turned up I answered the door and she was very rude and disrespectful towards me and put the food back in the car and rang the restaurant saying I couldn't have the food as she wanted the previous order back, she then went on to tell me after her phone call to the restaurant that we were never to use there take away again even after they had told us on the phone that they didn't want the food back!! I'm absolutely appalled with the women delivery driver and her attitude. I hope no one else receives the shocking attitude from her as it will destroy the business quickly and she shouldn't be in a customer service roll if she can not communicate properly with customers!! The food was lovely when we had it although the chips were cold again after arguing with her so ruined the whole evening.

A reliable British Indian restaurant with all your favourites on the menu We had chicken tikka masala (very coconutty), chicken saag (great spinach dish) and chicken dopiaza (unfortunately the blandest and really missing that deep onion flavour). The service is good and very friendly.

Food was good and arrived on time. They did forget 2 items but this was fixed very quick and didn’t really impact our meal too much.

Excellent…..I’m my opinion the best in the region. The restaurant is also open during lunch times, which again seems to be rare these days.

best korma sauce ive had, nan was spot on too. mango chutney was not to my liking bit to runny.

The last 3 orders from this restaurant our main meal has been wrong. Tonight I ordered Bombay chicken - only to be delivered just the potatoes. I have run out of chase to follow up with the restaurant as, by the time you get your food, you just want to eat whatever is delivered

Cold onion bhaji missing nan bread absolutely disgusting food rang them up rude on phone got nan bread delivered and more onion bhaji and that was cold will never order from here again and I recommend you don't

As good as ever! Despite the surprising Food Standards Agency low score I have never ever suffered with Delhi belly and would never consider going elsewhere! Have patronised Tale of Spice for many years and will continue to do so.

Amazing food, speedy delivery!

We have been coming to Tale of Spice for several years and it remains our favourite Indian restaurant in Trowbridge. We have never been disappointed with a meal here. Their Ostrich Pathia and Chicken Dupiaza are delcious and portions are always v generous. Added to that is the warm, personal service from the owners and staff, which makes our evenings here so enjoyable.

Great as ever! Wouldn't go anywhere else. First time I've tried the King Prawn Biryani and it contained the best prawns I have ever eaten! Def order that again.

Delicious, The chicken was so tender I had to check that it was chicken. The chicken curry was mild with a great taste. Everything I ordered was eaten and yes I would recommend this restaurant.

Food I have not eat there yet. But the staff are amazing. I seen the restaurant. It looks amazing. I missed my chance to eat there. Don't miss your chance. I give 10 out of 10 stars. Great place to have a party and a great place to take your other half for a date. You can also takaway.

Had a takeaway from here - have used them before but not for some time and generally good. However after placing my order I noticed their food hygiene rating is now 1 !!! Something is very wrong at this restaurant my food was not fresh so I binned it - complete waste of money - avoid at all costs.

The delivery was 15 minutes late and some items were not very hot.

We always have a takeaway and its delivered within 20 minutes, speedy service delicious food and decent size portion. We wouldn't go anywhere else for Indian food 10/10

Rang for a takeaway and they said it'll be ready in 20mins, got there and it was ready with friendly staff, took it home and it was delicious !! Very good Indian and I'll definitely be using them again.

Food was tasty and good however not very welcoming by staff.

3 out of the 4 items ordered were delicious I would have given 5 stars if I had been given the right naan bread.

My go to fit an Indian take away. The food is always first class and of a high quality. Please, though, under no circumstances, don't reduce the amount of meat/chicken in each dish. I have felt that's been done twice.

Whether you are eating in or ordering take out, the service and the standard has always been a cut above the rest in Trowbridge !

Restaurant wasn't busy when we arrived so it was nice and relaxed. I ordered a King Prawn Majadar which was absolutely delicious and my friend ordered a Special Roshoni Chicken Hawaii. We both had peshwari naan. All was cooked to perfection. I asked for mine less hot with extra sauce which was what I received. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. The food is amazing.

Very tasty but noticed recently that you get less and less chicken in main dishes each time. Also the cheese Naan barely tasted of cheese.

We popped in without a reservation and, thankfully, they were kind enough to serve us! I had the best Chicken Tikka Masala I have ever had, here, and I try it everywhere I go from California to London. Naim was so kind and served us the best! The Chana Masala, Aloo Gobi, and Naan we had were also super tasty! I highly recommend Tale of Spice!

Usually get a delivery but decided to dine in for the first time . The food was good as expected but the service was somewhat lacking. The main waiter to our table had no conversation with us at all and cleared the table before I had even finished eating. Felt as if we were being rushed along even though restaurant had only 3 tables occupied. We were back home within an hour and 15mins. Won't be going back .

Can't fault Tale of Spice - excellent service, food was hot and of a very high quality. Will be ordering from them again very soon (or will be visiting their restaurant!)

Amazing quality food arrived early but delivery driver wasn’t friendly

I love Indian food and usually its great. Today it was nice but the chicken did have a tinge of pink which i know can be normal but did taste alittle different which did put me off abit.

We decided to go to this restaurant as the reviews were ok and we weren't disappointed. The food was lovely we had poppadoms with spicy chutney, onion's and dips, chilli chicken, chicken jalfrezi, vegetable rice and garlic naan. It wasn't hot just a warm. The staff were nice but we worked hard to make some of them smile as they seemed a bit fed up, they work hard and we appreciate that very much. Thank you 🙂
