We have eaten at Anokaa regularly over the years I can honestly say it has excelled on every visit. It is a truly outstanding restaurant. The meals are very well presented and bursting with beautiful and exotic flavours. An evening at Anokaa is an opportunity to experience the true tastes and aromas of the best of Indian cuisine without leaving Salisbury! The servers are extremely smartly dressed in Indian attire and are attentive, efficient and friendly. The decor is modern, cosy and gives one the impression of being in a restaurant in South Asia. This restaurant is a ‘must visit’ for all Indian food aficionados - you will not be disappointed!

An Indian restaurant with something a little extra. We went for the early bird dinner menu and the choices were perfect for our tastes. We could not fault our meals and even squeezed in a dessert from the main menu. Reservations recommended.

The decor is high- end and provides a warm and sophisticated dining atmosphere. The chutneys were excellent. My starter of king Prawn with ginger was first rate. The lamb neck curry had a coconut infused sauce with chili. The naan bread - perfect. It was a plus they served zero alcohol Heineken beer. Finally the pitasschio ice cream was very special. I enjoyed the evening catching up on business with an old friend and business associate. Parking was a short walk away £3 for the evening. This wa the most outstanding Indian cuisine I have enjoyed in 30 years. A must to visit this social restaurant. The service is measured and very professional .

Anokaa now has a new, expanded, and very exciting menu. The quality of the food and value for money is truly outstanding. Superb service and decor. A ‘must visit’ for all true Indian food connoisseurs!

This is the best Indian restaurant I have ever had the privilege to eat in. We arrived as a group of 5 mates to enjoy a good curry, all the recommendations were excellent so we were looking forward to it. Greeted by the charming owner Mohamed we were sat in one of their nice round tables, it could easily have sat 8 but we were 5. All the dishes were amazing. We started with a fish and meet platter which consisted of chicken tikka pieces, onion Baji, spicy prawns and marinated lamb. It was amazing. After popadums with some wonderful accompaniments we then went onto the main courses. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food, I had a cod dish in old Delhi sauce which was amazing. Apparently the chicken madras was outstanding. We also had several naan’s which were great. The service throughout was first class, we had a mixture of cobra and kingfisher beer. I can highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you Mohamed and team.

From the initial welcome to the service to the food, our experience at Anokaa was outstanding. Really some of the best Indian food I've ever tasted, with options way beyond those found in most India restaurants. I can't speak highly enough of Anokaa and I'll return soon.

Service amazing, beautiful restaurant. Best popadoms ive had in a restaurant. I wouldn’t eat the Butter Chicken again though, it was very sweet, quite different from other butter chickens I’ve ordered from other places and wasn’t sure if I liked it. Everyone else went with loved their dishes though.

Stopped here en route to London from Minehead. I didn’t have particularly high expectations as it didn’t look anything special from the outside. However, I was very impressed. As I was pushed for time I only ordered one course (the lamb rogon josh with a pitta bread). I’ve ordered lamb many times before at Indian restaurants and it can often be fatty and tough. This was neither. There was hardly any fat in the meat and it was very tender. You didn’t need a knife to cut it you could simply use a fork. The sauce was very good as well and complemented the lamb well. My only slight disappointment was the rice portion which was a bit on the small size. Other than that I thought it was very good and can recommend visiting.

Beautiful contemporary Indian food with the service and ambience to match. I've been a few times now but last night's meal was truly special. We made the trip all the way from Bournemouth as I think it's totally worth it! I opted for the prawns to start and the lambs neck curry for my main and both were absolutely delicious and full of flavour, I could have anything from the menu as it's clear each dish has been carefully curated. The beautiful lamb in the curry just fell apart as soon as I touched it with my fork, it was cooked to perfection and very high quality. My fiancé had a korma and that was also delicious, very flavoursome and tender. The service and ambience is also excellent, the staff are all over it and always accommodating and polite if not a little quick to take your plate after you've finished a course but that's a very minor thing in an otherwise excellent experience! If you want to go for an Indian but want something a bit more special and unique Anokaa is an absolute must! Thank you for a memorable birthday meal!

Visited as a party of 6 (pre-booked). Found the food to be tasty, nicely presented and the service was really smooth and efficient. Clean plates all round! Loved the quirky water feature wall art. This was our first visit and won’t be our last. Highly recommend.

Best Indian restaurant ever. So good it’s worth the 52 mile round trip. The service food ambience and the gorgeous lamb neck curry is 100% worth it! The poppadoms and the sauces are delightful. The sharing starter platters are a family favourite especially the fish platter.

A welcoming restaurant service fast ( we three the only lunch diners).The two course menu was interesting,starters just the right size ,not too big,the mains choice was good which we enjoyed , puds,ice cream enough said,the coffee was outstanding,before we had finished a member of staff attempted to ask us to pay,one of our party on hearing how much I was enjoying my coffee asked for one which served in a surly manner,as soon as we had finished our coffee the bill was presented and paid,we were then asked to leave as they were closing,I would not recommend this restaurant , there is an authentic restaurant not to far from this one seek it out and enjoy a very different experience.

Anokaa has to be the go to restaurant for quality, tasty, well-presented Indian cuisine. It is a cut above the rest. Fabulous, imaginative, innovative food.

My top 3 restaurants I've ever been to in the UK. Go here. The variety of the foods they give you, the flavors and themes they manage to incorporate in every dish, their spectacular service, and their lunch prices are honestly phenomenal. If you are anywhere near here during lunch time, you owe it to yourself to visit. They give you a mint at the end of your meal so don't worry about garlic breath. Oh yeah, they know how to split a bill. It's honestly insane.

Great food as usual. Service is good and the atmosphere is good but just think about where you are seating a couple in relation to a table of loud chaps. Not offensive just loud. Perhaps we should have asked to move.

Unique and tasty twist on Indian cuisine. A cut above your average Indian restaurant with really great vegetarian alternatives, not just a few frozen beans and potatoes in a sauce. Been a few times when I’m town and always surprised and impressed.

We had a lovely meal for our anniversary. The food was delicious and very well presented, the staff were attentive and polite. We will definitely be going back in the future.

My friends raved about this restaurant. Modern made up dishes. I had king prawn and scallops starter dish was ok. Main I had lamb biryani. It was served on a steel platter food got cold quickly. Plenty of rice not much lamb. Not cooked as stated on the menu. My wife asked for a medium chicken curry. This arrived in a bowl with rice in the bowl. She said the gravy was pretty tasteless but very chilli hot . She couldn't eat it. The restaurant was very busy so I didn't complain about the food. To be honest I couldn't wait to get out. Certainly not worth the hour drive each way.

Really interesting and different menu although everything you would expect to see on an Indian menu is also on there. Fantastic prawns, large, succulent and delicious, plus very good service.

This is my favourite Indian restaurant ever. It’s worth the 52 mile round trip and consistently never fails to disappoint me. The service is great too. I went for my birthday. I have come here for my birthday for quite a few years.

A little noisy (we were in the middle and you are side by side with other couples separated by a screen, which was a bit distracting) but fantastic food. Loved the completely different menu from other indians. Its relatively expensive, but well worth it. Excellent and different vegetarian options!

Lovely decor. Food ok. Husband enjoyed his. Way too rushed. Hadn’t even sat down and menu handed to us. Over attentive. Felt watched with every mouthful. Constant stream of waiters and waitresses wandering past watching. I’d not even finished my mouthful and plate taken away and asked if I’d finished Way too over priced for a very rushed evening out

Absolutely love this restaurant. Food is amazing. My partner had a king prawn dish and I had a vegetarian option (even though I am not vegetarian) and both were delicious. I especially enjoyed the date and ginger naan bread. Service was good, efficient and discreet. Looking forward to my next visit!

Went for valentines night and it was Best Indian Meal Ever! The flavours were just incredible and the dishes really unusual. The “normals”’were there but you don’t need them when there was so much to choose from. Attentive service also. Genuinely not tasted Indian food like it before

We had a lovely dinner for two here, I love the low lighting and the attentive staff. The poppadoms were served with a selection of delicious sauces which we both very much enjoyed. Our mains were exquisitely cooked, melt-in-the-mouth and absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.

Another excellent evening at Annoka. We had mixed platters meat and fish which were outstanding, followed by 4 main course all amazing especially the lamb dishes - amazing. Staff were super attentive,,chatty and personal. THANKYOU FOR A WONDERFUL NIGHT 😊

If you want a top Indian Restaurant experience this is the place to go! Returned with my very significant other after way too long and the service, food and atmosphere is still top notch!

Anniversary dinner for two. No doubt the menu is excellent and the food was very good. Waiting staff were attentive and prompt. starters, mains and wine £77 so reasonable too. My wife wasnt overly impressed by her chicken main, my vegetarian main course was very good. We were happy when we left but not WOWED!

This has always been our fav restaurant in Salisbury! Food is always amazing but the service is getting worse on each visit! Our waiter who's the tall slim one was soooo miserable and unhelpful! Leaning over each of us whilst we were eating and asking us to pass him the plates of others! Surely that's his job? He was so miserable that it stopped us from ordering extra drinks as he treated us like we were a burden! Unfortunately this isn't the first time he's served us, we keep going back as we love the food but the staff really are quite rude! Not sure if it's changed hands as the service used to be impeccable! Out of our group of 8, only 1 said they'd return to the atmosphere from the staff!

Just superb. Menu is essentially a large selection of Chef's specials, with the option to cook you one of the standard repertoire dishes on request. Pricing is restaurant level rather than curry house level, but no higher than that, and strikingly reasonable in the premium dishes – and worth every penny. Actual food wonderful all round, from the more exotic dishes to the biriyani and poppadom pickles, the latter clearly made in-house. And absolutely no bad effects. The people are lovely and seemed actually interested in the fare they offer, especially the Maitre d' who I think must be the proprietor. *Highly* recommended.

This is a wonderful restaurant, with excellent food from a varied and original menu, attentive, friendly service and a comfortable ambience. Apart from the usual bow to British tastes which means that the tastier, moister cuts of chicken are sidelined in favour of the drier, blander breast meat (an extremely frustrating aspect of almost all Asian restaurants in the UK) the food was outstanding and I would certainly recommend Anokaa as one of the very best Indian restaurants it has ever been my pleasure to attend. The only reason I have given it four stars instead of five is the location. Salisbury is one of the worst cities I have ever encountered for parking and it took me 40 minutes to find somewhere for the car, which rather took the edge off the experience. Even the car park I used had single line traffic lights in and out, multiple and deep potholes, spaces that were too small for you to park the car and actually open the door, vans parked across two spaces and a huge queue to exit. I spent an hour in the restaurant and 75 minutes parking the car and then exiting the car park.

Authentic Indian food, absolutely delicious. A bit pricey but worth it!

This is a different type of Indian restaurant. There are traditional dishes but this place excels at some fusion dishes and mixing ingredients. Food and service was first class and a great evening was had by our party of 6

Really delicious and flavoursome food. Both our curries were fantastic and the pickle tray had some great dips in it. Service was efficient too

Early evening menu, 2 courses from a limited selection and a glass of wine. Pretty good deal at £17 and a bit. Spicing was light with nothing overwhelming, if anything it could be a bit more definite. Fish, duck, chicken and lamb selection all tender and sufficient. Add a pint of Hopback Summer Lightning, as the wife downed both glasses of wine, and you come to £40 for two.

Really nice place. Had a sheek kebab starter which was pleasantly spicy. Followed by chicken madras which was lovely and spicy with good flavours. Good service as well.

Wow, why can't all Indian cuisine be like this. A variety of alternatives to standard tikka / rogon /balti fare. Exemplary service and fantastic quality. Not cheap but worth it. Only slight criticism is that in an effort of style over functionality the menu is printed gray on gray making it hard to read in the low light. However being the great restaurant it is they provide a tray of reading glasses to assist. Lovely people, can't wait to go back

Birthday dinner on a Thursday. The birthday boy chose Anokaa for his dinner and so a table for six was booked. On arrival there were a number of diners, but plenty of staff to look after everyone. We had the compulsory popadoms and pickles only...

My 2nd time to eat here and i love this resto. I haven't tasted most of their food but the lamb that I ordered was really good and the portion is more than enough.

Easily the best curry I’ve ever had x3 All members of our party of three confirmed this was BY FAR the best curry of our lives. Highly recommend the pistachio chicken, lamb shank, the seafood platter.

Haven't been here for a few years now but it really hasn't changed still excellent quality food and service and who doesn't love a bit of close up magic from the in house entertainment! If you are staying in Salisbury go here for dinner you will not be disappointed!

This restaurant did not disappoint! Service was fantastic, food was amazing in presentation and taste. The only downside for me was having too much to choose from as no doubt everything on that menu will be delicious. Looking forward to going back!

Taken for a great lunch by friends in the area who really rated the restaurant. Did not disappoint. Excellent delicately flavoured food presented beautifully.

If you're vegan or hungry go somewhere else. No allowances for dairy free dishes only those few, rather dull options, listed on the menu. Even then portions are tiny, watery and hurriedly constructed. Clearly the sauces are pre-prepared, and, unlike every other indian i've visited, there is no offer of making a standard dish "dairy free". Hardly value for money either, an unimaginative combo of "curry" sauce and dull vegetables that barely covered the bottom of the bowl and a small cone of rice served in the dish (not seperate) does not constitute a good meal let alone a good price. Also zero side dishes were suitable for vegans apart from okra. A diappoining and costly experience. Two very basic meals and a two beers was £58. Never again.
