What has happened to Chutneys in Salisbury? Maybe the Mayor is too busy! Having had takeaways from Chutneys over the past 10 years they have always been excellent but a few weeks ago I ordered one and it was the worst I’d ever had not just from them anywhere!Tandoori chicken dry and no spices. Lamb madras 5 pieces of meat and watery hardly any spice. Special vegetable curry large chunks of potato carrots and onion nothing special again very watery. Spicy popadam burnt and not puffy the only thing that was good was the naan bread. I have been asked would I give them another try no way £30 down drain. Unfortunately I won’t be going back!

I used to love a chutneys curries but now it has a 1 star food rating I won't risk eating their food. Cone on guys you used to have a lot of supportive customers. Sort your act out

We ordered the meal at 6:30pm and it didn’t arrive at all they said they were on are road but there was no vehicle on it then in the end we when there a picked it up at 9pm the food was good but really bad delivery Sort your delivery Service out because we had little kids waiting and they were hungry not good 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽😠

Delivered on time and still hot. Very, very tasty. Great flavours and good sized portions. I'd recommend giving Chuntneys a try if you haven't before. First time for us, we will be getting again.

Hello. Yesterday I entered a fishing competition and came 67 out of 89, not the result I wanted but still a good effort I think. After a day of fishing I was hungry and I wasn’t going shopping until Thursday so thought I would treat myself to a curry with my prize money. I haven’t ordered a curry for a long time and wasn’t sure were to go but I remembered chutneys from when a few years ago and thought I would give it a go. It was very nice, and very tasty. Good portions and plenty of meat! Food was hot and the Indian man who dropped the food of was dressed very smartly and was very polite. I really had a nice meal. But I’m paying for it this morning, the spice has caused havoc with my belly and had a massive poo. All in a good way though 👍🏼 I will definitely order from here again. Thankyou chutney

Was always a firm favourite but now I’ve heard about the 2* hygiene rating I will be finding somewhere else to go. Hopefully they improve things and I will return.

Used to like the food until they got 2* hygiene rating. Probably wouldn't chance it, shame as it was really good.

Ordered for a family of five online. Food okay,but not amazing. Waited an additional thirty minutes on top of the estimated fifty minutes. Won't bother again.

Used to order “Butter Chicken” from here and it was the most incredible Yellow, almondy sauce ever... can’t find a dish like it from anywhere else as everywhere else seems to do a tomato based butter chicken? Maybe I was ordering something different but what ever it was the dish was amazing and I’d love to know the actual name of the dish

Can’t speak for some of the poor reviews on this site but just finished a excellent takeaway. Ordered online. Free delivery on time from the COVID-19 precautions compliant driver. Chef Specials were excellent. Will definitely recommend and use again. Happy customer 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

From someone who is from London and has been to many legit curry houses, this indian is frankly a joke. We ordered the murg mukani and it was so sweet it was practically a dessert, the poppadoms we're stale, the naan was old and flavourless and the samosas were stone cold in the middle (just like they came out the fridge) If you want an authentic experience, avoid this place.

Would like to highly recommend chutneys of Salisbury is simpley absolutely amazing taste in food have such a verity of plates to eat and staff owner are very thank u to all at chutneys

Also they are of the of the more reasonably priced Indian take away in Salisbury. The food it was very nice and plentiful. One of the meat dishes was Lamb which I asked to meek very spice and it was PLENTY . I've been using Chutneys for over 6 years now and I Have always had great meals. Last night I ordered the chikken tikka with pilau rice and naan bread and it was absolutely delicious.They prooved once again they are profesionals,by the was they deliverd it in this "pandemic "times(payed over the phone,and social distancing respected by the delivery driver). Would highly recommend!!

Collected my order, ready when they said (40 minutes). The food was excellent, the lamb was tasty and very tender and the chicken soft and delicious. Best Indian I’ve had for a long time. Recommended

When I get an Indian takeaway, my curry of choice would usually be a chicken Pathia or a chicken Bhuna. I decided to go for something different from my usual and was recommended by a friend to get a Chicken Dhansak. This was the best curry I have ever eaten. I would 100% recommend Chutney's to anyone if they are unsure where to go and get food on one of those nights where you don't want to cook and fancy something different.

PLEASE, PLEASE READ THIS. I had good service and food from the old Chutneys. However,Yesterday (14/04/2020) I placed an order at 5:15 pm with the new Chutneys to be deliverd at 7:45 pm the same day. I paid by plastic and donated an extra £ for charity. I received an e-mail confirming my order with correct address, etc. After that nothing. No food, no message saying why not delivered, no reply to their phone numbers given. So i am £20 out of pocket. This is not the first case reported. On my experience I strongly advise you never, never, never use them. If you must pay by cash not plastic. They are taking the piss and our money almost by fraud . They are dispicable and their adverts are untrue. They are a bad model for their profession.

We’ve always gone to Chutneys since it opened as I’ve always thought it’s one of the best takeaways around BUT not anymore sadly. Really tough cauliflower in the bhaji and my chicken tikka curry was definitely over cooked. I know this was the first weekend of the Coronavirus lockdown and everyone was ordering deliveries but our meals were way below par. I’ve only given three stars because I still feel a level of loyalty to our local takeaway.

Average Indian takeaway. Not bad, but nothing special. This used to be our regular, but we've found better in Salisbury.

Was the best Indian good in Salisbury, went most Saturdays, now after tonight never again! Food has been gradually deteriorating and very inconsistent. Now very bland poor presentation. My biggest gripe is you don’t get what you order, the last 3 times order wrong, tonight ordered pilou rice, and got disgusting veg I rice ruined whole meal went in the bin. My advice avoid go elsewhere

Whilst the food is good, they do not honour the delivery radius stated on their leaflets and refuse to deliver to my house and tell me I have to come and collect it instead. Unacceptable.

We have been getting our takeaways from here for years and have never had a bad meal. We have tried most of the menu but still have our favourites.

This is my regular Indian takeaway and the food In general is always great and well priced my only issue is that they are often closed on Mondays despite advertising that they are open 7 days a week.

Delivery was almost 2 hours from when I placed my order through their website (Which they didn’t see as it clearly doesn’t work efficiently) Was told I would get some discount for the inconvenience which I didn’t when the delivery driver came out. The food was actually really nice when it finally arrived. Shame about the poor service and lack of willingness to put right a problem

Last three takeaways we ordered were of poor quality and tasteless. Not sure if they have a new chef or standards are slipping. Such a disappointment as normally good.

Love Chutneys, food is excellent, never disappointed. Fish dishes are my favourite. Always helpful when I call as I am a coeliac. Would love them to put what is gluten free on their menu though. That would make them even better!

We ordered a few dishes from this takeaway last night. I had a veggy dish and a daal with rice. All were very tasty and not at all greasy. I would use again.

Chutneys is by far the best Indian takeaway in Salisbury. Their chicken madras is on point every time. Wouldn't order an Indian from anywhere else.

For us, this is Salisbury's best curry takeaway, being almost next door to the Wyndham Arms, a useful waiting room, while the curry is prepared.

Me & my husband tried chutneys for the first time as fancied a change, won't be trying it again, the curry was very watery & we couldn't eat our onion Bhajis as couldn't get your teeth into them & our nan bread was brick hard so had to throw that too!the chips were the best bit! Such a shame as we wanted a new venue to have our takeaways from but basically threw £22 worth of our money down the drain!

On Saturday we ordered a delivery for an early evening celebratory supper.It was the most delicious meal we have ever had.The whole family really enjoyed it.It arrived nicely packaged and piping hot and reasonably priced. Everything was cooked to perfection.Now we are all looking forward to the next time!!!

We ordered a take-away last week from Chutney's and it was excellent.We had a prawn and a chicken tikka masala, with pilau rice, garlic naam and poppadums, the total cost was £24.10.They told me to pick it up in 40 minutes, I arrived early and true to their word after 40 minutes it was ready.The food was excellent, everything you would hope for from a quality traditional Indian Restaurant, I can highly recommend.

We recently moved from London and panicked that there are no decent Indian take always here but oh my goodness how wrong! Chutneys is the best Indian takeaway we have ever had. So delicious and the best choice on the menu.

15 of us ordered a take-away on a Sat evening from their comprehensive menu. Food was ready on time when we arrived to collect it and was still nicely hot when we served it up. We all thought the prices were very reasonable.

Not used this place for a few years until now, they were always really good and I'm pleased to say they still are. Also they are one of the of the more reasonably priced indian take aways in Salisbury. This did not reflect in the food as it was very nice and plentyful. We went for the set menu for 2 (meat version) priced at £27.95. One of the meat dishes was Koria Lamb which I asked to change to chicken with no problem, they were however not willing to change the pilau rice to mushroom rice, which was a slight annoyance. I also asked if there was any discount if I picked it up, this was refused but the chap did give me 2 poppadoms and mango chutney for my efforts
