Absolutely terrible, waited over 1 hour and 50 minutes for delivery. No call to say there was a delay, had to call after 1 hour and 15 minutes to see where the order was. For a place that charges for delivery (£3) and 75p for processing fees using card is diabolical. For 4 items including delivery and processing fee for paying by card it came upto £38.25. Complete rip off and the food was mediocre. Definitely not worth waiting nearly 2 hours for and definitely not worth the price. I don't mind paying for good tasting food and service but this was neither. I would advise to give this a miss and spend your money elsewhere.

I like to be pampered by my surroundings when I go out for a special meal, which I always hope a two Michelin star restaurant is going to provide. In this occasion you walk into a noisy room and are immediately taken downstairs for the start of your ‘journey’ to, as has been described previously, a shabby bar, where you are offered a range of champagnes. There was no ‘would you like a drink in the bar first, or shall we take you straight to your table?’ and no choice of aperitif offered. This felt like unnecessary pressure (given the cost is already £220 per head) to spend more money. I also suspect that our table wasn’t ready as we then waited some time in the bar perched on uncomfortable bar stools. When we were taken to our table, our ‘journey’ was explained to us and the meal began to arrive. Everything was described in detail - what order to eat things in, which cutlery to use, and we were corrected if we were seen to be doing it ‘wrong’. The presentation of the food was exquisite and the work which went into its preparation and the staff required to maintain this standard is evident. The ingredients are undoubtedly of high quality. Each of the six ‘courses’ comprise an number individual mouthfuls, all beautifully explained, the region, the composition, spices, etc. At the end of the day, did I enjoy the food ? It was certainly interesting and I enjoyed some components more than others and, as I have already said, the work which goes into such beautiful food and presentation is clear. However, for me, I would rather have a few more substantial dishes, where I can really taste and appreciate the flavours, than 30 mouthfuls, each a lovely bite in itself but quickly forgotten as the next morsel is presented. Was it worth the money ? For the food - probably; the ambiance - no. It was an interesting experience but I wouldn’t return.
