Food was very greasy and bland, tasted disgusting and was not worth my money.

Before ordering this I ordered from another place but they rejected my order. I don't why but I'm glad they did because I enjoyed my meal from New China Well very much! ... I was delivered quickly, the food was fresh, hot and very tasty. You made my night guys, thanks! :)

I enjoyed the food but the Kung Po Chicken I received was different from what I expected. However the King Prawn Rice was great with lost of juicy prawns. WIll order again.

Pad Thai was utterly disgusting and appeared to have been made with out of date ingredients- whole household agreed that it was inedible. The restaurant were rude and dismissive when I called to complain and told me I was 'wrong'. Will never order from this place again.

The food did not taste good. The chicken and sweetcorn soup had a horrible burnt Taste to it and was inedible. Unfortunately everything else was quite poor in taste and quality. However the the takeaway arrived within the hour. I would not recommend this takeaway or order from the again

Waited 1 hours and a half, good arrived cold and was awful. Beef curry had more onions than beef and tasted awful. Fried rice was the only thing that tasted ok after I heated it up. Couldn't even eat the curry.

Extremely slow delivery, I have ordered at 18:05 now is 19:55 and the food is still not here, I have called the restaurant and the lady who picked up the phone sounded very disinterested, she was not polite at all and she couldn't speak English either. No apologie or being sorry about it. If you want quick food do not order from this restaurant.

Fish cakes were vile! Small deep fried things with a rubbery solid sponge filling. So inedible and with such a strange flavour that we were too repulsed to eat the unbelievably greasy rice!

Food took 1 hour + 50 minutes to arrive, basically cold.

Delivery was shocking. Ordered food at 8pm, with an original delivery time of 8:40pm. This was pushed back to 9:05pm - I didn't necessarily mind this as it was New Year's Day and I knew they would be busy. However, at 9:15pm the app said that our food had been delivered when it hadn't. Phoned the place to find out what was going on and they said our food hadn't been sent for delivery yet; and that it should be with us in the next delivery round. By 10pm still no food. Phoned the place again and the lady on the phone said that she wasn't sure which driver had taken the food. After a couple of minutes on hold she said that the driver was outside our house; I went to check and no one was there. 5 minutes later a car pulls up and the finally our food arrived. If you're actually hungry, avoid this takeway as it would be quicker to cook yourself a 5 course meal by the time they arrive.

Reheated hard chewy food and when I spoke to them about it they just said oh ok.

Waited 1and a half hours, called them , they said its in the way , called back half an hour later! Still no sign !!!

Food itself was plentiful and tasty. The deliverer seemed to have to problems finding my flat, which didn't delay the delivery as it still arrived within the predicted time and wasn't cold at all, but perhaps the deliverers need a better system to find their customers' houses.

Order took over an hour and 15 mins to arrive even tho it is 10 minutes away and when it got here the order was wrong. lucky the food is decent enough.

Took an hour and 20 mins to deliver and two of the items were wrong. I had to phone 3 times to find out about my order and then another hour for the correct items. Never again

Really tasty food. The only thing that let it down was the chinese style pork, it was a bit chewy. The prawn toast was amazing! Would order again.

The only reason this is getting 1 star is because there's no option to leave zero stars! I ordered a takeaway at about 8.25pm. At 9.30pm, over an hour later, I called them, as the food had not been delivered yet. I was told it was on its way. Fifteen minutes later I called back, and was told it had been delivered half an hour earlier. Clearly it had been delivered to the wrong address. It's not like I haven't had food delivered from here before, and my address isn't difficult to find, so why it was delivered elsewhere, I don't know. After having to convince the person on the phone that the driver hadn't actually delivered it to the correct address, as I'm still sitting there hungry after over an hour of waiting, I was told another order would be sent out. So 45 minutes later, I had to call back, as this also had yet to be delivered. Again I was told it was on its way. Fifteen minutes later I had to call back, as it was still not delivered. This time, they stopped answering the phone! The food eventually arrived after a further 15 minutes. That's 11pm, 2 1/2 hours after I originally ordered. Totally unacceptable! And to make things worse, obviously because the driver must have decided to take the scenic route to my address, the food was lukewarm, tasteless and the sauce had congealed. I should have gone to bed hungry. I will never order from here again.

generally love their food but lately they have been messing up. think they are refurbishing so it's delivery only, but it's not stated on the website

After an hour I called to check where my food was and the lady said anther 10-15 mins I then called back again 30mins later to check and was told it was on its way. The driver could not find my flat even though I have orderd from them before. So I had to then go out in the street to flag him down. After we finaly sat down to our meal it was almost 10pm. This was a mid week day not a Friday or Saturday night. Looking at the other reviews bad delivery seems to be a theme with this place.

Didn't get my prawn crackers while spending over £12. I live right next to the takeaway and the driver could not for the life of him find me... And when he did he ran off with my £15!! When I was owed a couple quid change.. Not at all happy and I usually love this place

I got the Mongolian lamb. This was delish.

I've been a loyal China Well customer for 2 yeas but I'm ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED with the food and service I received today. Not only was it 45 mins late and arrived luke warm, my veggie soup I had ordered arrived containing meat. I've been a strict veggie for 15 years and was very upset after a few mouthfuls when I realised I was eating chicken. When I called the take away to complain I was met with terrible customer service when the girl asked me 'well what do u want from us?' I explained that an apology might be a good start considering I was so upset. She gave me an insincere apology and told me her manager said 'he'd give us a refund if we don't write a bad review'. I'm disgusted by the service and will obviously never eat here again. IF YOU'RE VEGETARIAN, I WOULD ADVISE YOU DO THE SAME AND STEER CLEAR.

The vegetable curry was very watery and not as good as previous times, very disappointed with that, the other dishes were as nice as ever but we really didn't enjoy the vegetable curry at all...

The delivery was very fast but the food was terrible, in fact one of the worst chinesse i have ever tried,the chow main was so salty that it was uneatable the spring rolls had burned vegetables and the kung po wasn't even a kung po

Absolutely horrible, my wife is pregnant and there was insects in my food. Then was told would refund and since bugs where only in my wife's food the expected me to eat mine... EHO will be hearing about this

Was super hungry so was thrilled that my food came so quickly however I had ordered my 2 favorite things from the chinese and both were not as satisfactory as I would have liked it to be, both tasted weird, were not terrible however for someone who was extremely hungry it was a meal that did not satisfy very much.

Food was just 'meh', and it took closer to 2 hours delivery time. When I finally called after an hour + was told '10 minutes' and still took closer to 40. Not impressed

1st time ordering - good delivery time, polite driver. I left instructions for certain changes to the soup which they done leaving my fussy friend delighted. Myself and another friend really enjoyed ours too. defo ordering again from here

The order was 20 minutes late. I called to enquire about where it was and got an incredibly rude response off a lady on the other end of the phone. She hung up on me to top it off too. No apology from the delivery guy about it being late. The food was mediocre.

This is the last time i order from New China Well. I ordered at 20:30 and the food arrived at 22:30. By this time the food was spoilt and cold. This is not the first time they have delivered very late and when you call to find out what the hold up is they can be rude and even hang up on you! Very slow,bad service that ensures you won't enjoy your meal.

Accidentally ordered from this restaurant again as I wanted quick order and didn't realised I picked this place. Took 2 hours to get food, no one was answering when calling the restaurant and when finally got through I was told 10-15 minutes..this then turned into an hour.. Saturday dinner turned to disaster.. This is the last time we order from here. We all got sick after eating from here. Order arrived half an hour late, cold and swimming in oil. We didn't eat very much of it as it was horrible and a good job too as it upset everyone's stomachs. Not nice. The one dish we all had a bit of was the rice so I think it must have been reheated over and over to cause the reaction it did. Not going back - grim.

Delivery guy put me off the food! Food looked ok, smelt ok, but tasted awful. The 1/4 duck was all fat, crispy beef was way too sweet, the chicken in the Thai green curry was uncooked and bitter. Made myself sick just to get it out of my stomach, stomach still feeling dodgy!

Used to order from this restaurant frequently but last two times The delivery took longer the expected, once over an hour delay and the second time I am still waiting for my food. I called the restaurant 3! Times and each time was told that the food its on his way... Half hour later I was still waiting. Last call I made, i was given the drivers number to find out where he was... I wont be ordering from this restaurant ever again.

Got the food in less than half an hour, and everything was really fresh, hot, and delicious. The free prawn crackers and a bottle of drink are also a very nice touch. Will definitely order again!

I waited two hours from the time that I placed the order through this website for the meal to arrive. I called after one hour and got told that the order had only just been received and so needed to wait an additional 45 minutes. The food, when it arrived was of an acceptable standard, but won't return due to the terrible service.

The food was good, not amazing. My main complaint is with the service. I know ordering on a friday means it will probably take longer but if it's going to take over 2 hours then don't except the order. I had to ring up 4 times to find out where my food was, they didn't pick up twice Next time I order I will play on delivery, so if this happens again I can cancel and just cook myself. There are better, friendlier take away places. Go there.

The food arrived promptly, way before the estimated delivery time and the delivery guy was very friendly. The food was tasty and hot but the sweet and sour chicken cantonese style was quiet watery which took away some of the flavour. Apart from that, I was very pleased.

Usually really good but the roast duck Chinese style's quality has got really bad lately, it used to be breast meat but now it's half the size and looks and tastes like overcooked leg meat, very disappointed...

Awful on all counts! Do not order from here. The food arrived after 2 hours. In this time I began to think they hadn´t received my order so myself and an operator from Just eat tried to contact them but no one picked up. I ordered my dinner from a different takeaway and then the original one turned up. I told the delivery guy I had now ordered from somewhere else and he told me I was baldy behaved for not accepting the food and that he wouldn´t leave till he was paid! He also told me that i would have been called by someone and told that my meal would take over 2 hours, which was a lie. I paid just so he´d leave but to add insult to injury the late food that I didn´t even want any more tasted horrible, was obviously cold and the soup that I has specifically asked be vegetarian had meat in it! Lucky thing that the second takeaway turned up as the one from here was inedible!!!

Hour late in delivery. Didnt offer anything in compensation! Very disappointed. Will never use again.
