Lovely food friendly staff & nice atmosphere in the restaurant

Definitely doesn't deserve a 3.4 (as of May 27th 2024). Food was excellent, and plated decently. Service was a little heavy handed, and ambience was lacking - but to be fair we were dining on Bank Holiday Monday; we were the only ones eating in. Our server was a young person - likely helping the family who owned the restaurant - we were received efficiently and there were no issues at all with our order. Food was tasty and served piping hot, and our drinks were well chilled but served without ice. The glassware could do with updating, as they showed signs of wear.

The delivery driver was prompt and polite.

They have a relatively low rating but I swear this is the best sushi I have had in ages (ordered by Deliveroo). I will be going to the restaurant with friends asap.

Really lovely Takeaway place. You would think that Sushi and Chinese don't go together- but this place really breaks the pattern - and its wonderful. They used to have really small portions of Sushi- which i am delighted that they have increased after presumably some negative feedback. Their regular staples such as Sweet and Sour chicken, and various soups are all reasonably good and the price is also fair. Most importantly their delivery times have all been really reasonable with the food arriving hot in less than an hour. Overall a great local place and lovely addition to the high street.

Always enjoyed their food and service. Definitely the only family business in Mill Hill I’ll give money to.

I’ve place very big order for four people spending a lot of money. Huge variety of food and every single dish was absolutely delicious! Sushi super fresh, meat dender and each dish had its own flavour! Highly recommended to all.

Ordered on Uber - sent us the wrong food. Eventually got through on the phone to the restaurant, staff were extremely rude and hostile nd put the phone down on me twice. A real shame as the good is usually good. Will never order from there again. A disgrace.

Cold food plus chicken smelled bad

Food wasn't great unfortunately :( didn't like the noodles, thought it would be the fried tofu but was silken.

Oh dear - flavours not good. Curry sauce very odd indeed. Thick gloop which is really rather tasteless. Most just gone in the bin.

The sushi is excellent, and the service is very good

Wrong order delivered first, then had to wait for the wrong order to be collected and the right order delivered, food only warm, had to re-heat. Will not order again.

I went to eat in a couple of months ago and it was amazing. I ordered the same thing today and it was so disappointing. Food did not taste the same. Duck was barely crispy, noodles were so dry.

The chow mein was so bland and the chicken didn’t taste like chicken

I just placed and order of just five items and it was screwed up because “the person who entered the order, forgot to add the rest”. Only had ONE item delivered out of FIVE! Poor service. Poor customer interaction. No help whatsoever. Would think twice before ordering from here again

Bit of a mixed bag on this order. The main food order was very good, the smokey chicken was amazing but the Singapore noodles were mildly warm. Not at all impressed with the sushi though, the crab meat hosomaki is infact sea food sticks. Also in the eel and cucumber roll is mostly sea food stick too. Won't order sushi again but will order from the main food options.

Missing food from order, restaurant refused to help when phoned

Not happy with paying a service charge for a delivery service as well as a delivery fee. Service charge is for the service you receive at the table, there is no waiter at my table. Great food though

Delicious food. But, peanuts found in the Sauteed sliced beef with chilli dish. Someone is allergic to peanuts in our household, so it could've become a big issue.

The sweet and sour tofu and salt pepper tofu were very nice

The duck was good, but the meat dish seemed a little scrappy with tiny bits of meat.

Unfortunately it was all far too salty. Disappointing because it is usually quite good. We couldn't eat most of it. New chef perhaps but wont risk it again I don't think.

Unfortunately the food portions have been halved and the food was cold. Very disappointing it used to be so good.

Terrible service. Have coffee machine but refuse to sell us coffee. Waitress came across as she was doing us a favour by serving us. We where the only ones in the restaurant. We should have known.

Food was good but the service was appalling the girl who served us was no more than 16 years old and didn't smile. Then it took ages for her to come over and ask us if we wanted a drink or to order food it felt like we had to get her attention as she was on a computer or phone behind the counter all evening. Even when clearing the starters away didn't even ask if we enjoyed the starters and told me I need to keep my dirty plate for the next course. Didn't ask if we needed another drink even when glass was empty. Wouldn't visit again as comes across as a very unfriendly atmosphere.

Atrocious service. Ordered food and something was missing. Rang the restaurant and they said it "wasn't their problem as they'd checked the bag". Could not believe it. For the sake of one meal that's such bad customer service.

Very rude, so future customers are best staying away!

Food poisoning!!! Do not go there. The food came out too quickly and felt soft inside. This was the sweet and sour chicken. A few people I know also had food poisoning after other dishes. Please dont go

The choice is great, and having tried lots of different items from the menu, the taste and quality is very good. Good sized portions. Excellent value for money.

I am disabled and this restaurant refused to deliver to me forgetting the simple mantra that the customer is always right. What is terrifying is they persisted in calling my personal mobile they texted me and they refused to deliver to me. Clearly they can easily afford to lose a £90 order bonkers in today’s climate. Whatever you do do not order from this restaurant I took my business to a very nice Chinese in Kingsbury. Surely if they were not sure of the order they could have checked the app or simply delivered it to the address on the just eats order no need to contact me at all they terrified me frankly and it was very stressful

I tried to order through just eats and I did a £90 order on my phone. Then my phone kept ringing and ringing so I diverted it as I didn’t know the number I am disabled. Then I get a text despite me saying on just eat to simply leave the food in a cupboard next to my front door and text me that it’s there don’t ring the bell as I have a scary dog so they basically told me disabled people were not a priority and refused to deliver to me. All I would say is I thought the customer was always right . The whole experience terrified me why contact me at all I was trying to support my local Chinese in these difficult times with COVID etc and they refused to deliver to me. I took my £90 order to a lovely Chinese in Kingsbury instead. I told them I would call 999 and tell the police I felt threatened and they still refused to deliver an order to outside my door I am literally lost for further words

Rice was hard and chicken was tough. It tasted reheated.

Happy to have found this restaurant. Highly impressive with its delivery service. From order to delivery only 30mins. Food portion was good and tasty. Not greasy and pipping hot. Will come back for sure.

No greeting from the waitress. The Japanese Maki was tasty. But the chicken udon was just awful. It was not Japanese style at all neighter Chinese style. The noodle was so dry and put too much sesame oil. They shouldn't have mix Japanese and Chinese together. I would not go back there again.

Not cheap I ordered 2 sushi dishes and 2 chinese dishes. I wax pleased to get very large portions.the 2 chinese dishes were heavily flavoured but very high quality indeed,everything was individually flavoured and textured. I like my food lightly flavoured so not my style but 9/10 for quality. Now on to the sushi,this really shows up the chefs standard.! Absolutely superb,10/10. This says it all,fresh,delicious and superbly made. I will not be ,looking anywhere else for my sushi.

Lovely food, great flavours. The veggie fried rice was terrific, nice fresh veg and not at all greasy.

Timely delivery but not too impressed with the food. My beef teriyaki was really oily and flavourless, whereas my boyfriend’s barbecue duck was overly sweet. Nonetheless, the duck was definitely the better dish of the two and we were grateful it was so prompt.

Food never actually arrived at all so driver must have dropped it off at the wrong address which is absolutely shocking. I'm so disappointed with this. Hungry and completely angry about it.

I called to ask a question a couple times but no one was answering. The sweet & sour sauce for the chicken balls was purely just sour. I usually order from here & it’s usually good, however today it was just okay.

The food was incredibly salty - to the point that we couldn’t eat finish our meals. I can still taste the salt 18 hours later - really surprised with the poor quality as we have purchased food from this restaurant before which has been tasty

I loved this restaurants food for years and was happy when they Just Eat roster. This delivery was earlier than expected and the food is great as always.

Food was very bland. Noodles were flavourless, the egg fried rice looked like it was coloured with yellow food colouring and the mock chicken cashews was sweet and soggy.

I placed my order at 19:10. A delivery driver came to my apartment building at 19:57 to deliver my order And I buzzed them in. I waited in my apartment for them to come and deliver the food. after five minutes there was still no sign of them so I went to the reception area - the delivery driver also wasn't there. My online account stated that my order was delivered, yet I had not received it. I waited over half an hour on the live chat to be told that in 24 to 48 hours I will be sent a complaints form via email. they did not try to a facilitate my order or tell me what had happend. I also could not get through to the restaurant via telephone. It is now 21:14 and I still have not received my food. Will not be using this service again.

I've used Koi many times and it undramatic but dependable. It is a bog standard Chinerse menu. In fairnerss I only tend to use the Chinese menu and so I cannot atest to their Japanese dishes.

Food was delicious snd quality was generous the only thing noodles were too spicy.

Anyway love Koi, food was lovely and fresh only issue was the Gyoza was quite greasy

Ordered online, and picked up. Quality of the food is ok, service was ok.

We are Chinese both 76 years of age. Before Covid19 we ate at proper Chinese restaurants and would not dream of eating Chinese food from any Chinese takeaways. Of the takeaway Chinese foods we have ordered from Just Eats (so far) Koi Japanese and Jun Peaking have been the 2 worst tasting Chinese takeaway foods we have ever tasted. The prawn on the sesame prawn toast tasted off of which we had to bin. I would be grateful if you could refund me the amount of £10.00. as a gesture of goodwill for such bad and tasteless foods. Thank you.

I want a refund , food was late , nearly 40minutes late , called restaurant several times , no answer, food due at 5.20 food arrived at 6pm !!! I want a refund , boiled rice cold , rest of food Luke warm

This restaurant must have changed hands or chef. Food flavour not distributed well so all of a sudden your mouth is full of curry powder.. Food was clearly thrown together with little thought. I ordered vegetarian noodles and the little veg in it namely chunky broccoli and onions was not great. Brocolli was not fresh. Meal delivered late... if you are going to put food on the floor perhaps double up the bags I won’t be ordering again any time soon it wasn’t worth the wait.
