Si usted, como yo, les gusta la comida caliente picante szechuan, podrá disfrutar de una comida en amigos locales. El banco rojo reats American Diner evocan un y el ambiente es casi tipo cantina, con familias locales para disfrutar de la comida. El personal es amable y eficiente, guía a través de el menú grande con respecto a los niveles de las Especias y el tamaño de las porciones (que satisfacen a un grupo de 4 mejor que un grupo de 2). Teníamos dos entrantes, tres platos principales, fideos y un plato de verdura, que era un montón de comida para 4 - es una pena que sólo había 2 de nosotros!

No te dejes llevar por las apariencias, por favor. El exterior de este restaurante Golders Green puede desanimarte, pero no entra.

He vivido en China durante unos años, este es uno de un puñado de China restaurantes donde puedes conseguir comida adecuada chiense en Londres y donde también se puede disfrutar de una habitación en el estilo chino de KTV.

Tenía algunas bolas en este pequeño restaurante chino, pero muy acogedor cerca de la estación de Golders Green. Yo no tengo mucho tiempo porque estaba esperando un autobús National Express. Las bolas eran rápidas y muy buen gusto. La salsa tenía ingredientes frescos, todo estaba bien. La camarera joven no fue demasiado amable.

Tuvimos un cumpleaños ayer para llevar. Teníamos 3 entradas y 3 platos principales, que cuesta 45 libras. Los platos estaban bien. Me hicieron mezclado carne fideos que no estaba en el menú. No hacer mi hacerlo con fideos crujientes, que yo prefiero. Había un montón de carne aquí, y seguirá a frecuentar.

El sabor puede ser atraído a la gente occidental, pero no nacionales chinos. Los baños son muy estrechas y la puerta no puede ser cerrada.

Food are always lovely there and the traditional chinese cuisine never let u down. if u look for spicy food. here is the place.

Visitamos amigos locales después de muchos años. La buena noticia sigue siendo coherente como un buen local chino y lo recomendaría para esa experiencia. Pedimos carne frita, pollo en salsa de frijol negro y Nai Bai. También un par de sopas. Toda la comida era razonable calidad y ofrece buena relación calidad-precio.

Estábamos anhelando comida china, pero tenía problemas para encontrar un buen lugar que entregar a Finchley. Un amigo que vivía en el barrio recomendado amigos locales. No solo entregar rápidamente, pero la comida era muy buena. En particular, el pato crujiente con especias y pepinos szechuan para empezar eran excelentes, y un jengibre pollo con arroz frito. Gran experiencia!

This place is defiantly worth a visit, friendly staff with good service.. The food was extremely tasty, I will be back there again!

We had a great family meal here. This place specialises in food from Hunan province in the evening, which is a bit spicier than the usual Cantonese fare served in most Chinese restaurants in the UK. On the menu is the face of the province's most famous son - Chairman Mao. If you want a standard chicken fried noodles they'll do that too though.At lunchtime they do dim sum.It's always been a mystery to me why this place is not busier. The food is as good as the Water Margin further down the road, prices are similar, and the staff are much friendlier.

Down to earth local Chinese with a touch of spice serving food from Hu Nan region in China.It was recommended to me by a Chinese friend of mine who is very particular about food and a great cook himself. Tan, who seemed to be the head waiter was great fun and made our lunch a lovely memory. Staff were all ears to listen to what your tastes and allergies are and suggested items from their menu accordingly. They did a great job!

The dim sum here is frozen not fresh, so not very good. The rest of the food is better. Service is extremely slow but they are nice enough. Good jasmine tea.

Would say about 70% of the food was good and 30% had some problems. The service could be improved. The staff don't seem to be that concerned about providing great customer service. But I would order from here again, perhaps a takeaway though.

Enjoyed won ton soup and chicken and sweetcorn soup - both served piping hot, flavoursome and not gloopy, as is sometimes the case.Then moved on to fried tofu with chillies, scallions and salt - again nice and hot and not overcooked so quite light and fluffy while crisped on the outside. Not much finesse about the slicing of the scallions or chillies but nevertheless still a good dish.The lobster and ginger was very tasty. Meanwhile, the chicken and black bean sauce came as advertised though it was hardly better than average except for having plenty of the tasty sauce.The ambience was so-so, it being a rather quiet night. Service though was alright though they ought to try harder to serve both main courses at the same time.Overall then, a slightly generous Very Good

We went as a family of 10 for lunch. This was with a group of fussy eaters who know their chinese food! We all thought the food was excellent, even one of our party who is very ready to say when she feels it isn't ip to scratch! Well done local friends for providing really good quality chinese food in Golders Green!

Local Friends a high quality restaurant situated in Golders Green north-west-London directly situated opposite the tube/bus station in a busy thoroughfare and the old Hippodrome theatre, now a teaching centre, there is street parking.The decor is in red very soft seating that can accommodate six persons, and some tables too, the walls have Chinese writing on, and very bright, the menu is in a book form with sample photographs of many of the dishes.The food is excellent, I do not live far away, and this restaurant deserves a very good appraisal, I have eaten here on many a occasion, and they do a fine takeaway selection for this cosmopolitan area.I went with a family member, had numerous dishes, it can be expensive on what you order, you pay for fine quality, portions are very large, very tasty also. Staff helpful and friendly.

Guaranteed delicious authentic Chinese food Hunan style.I have travelled all over China in the last 14 years and usually Chinese restaurants in the UK do not serve authentic Chinese food.Local Friends (or in Chinese it is called Hunan Ren) is a wonderful restaurant serving authentic Chinese dishes.I have been there 3 times so far and finally decided to write this review. I would recommend to anyone who really wants to sample authentic food.

Having ordered the Prawn Fried noodles and simultaneously pointing at the photograph on the menu, i was brought a completely different type of fried noodles. As soon as it was brought to me, i mentioned right a way that it was not the correct dish, to which, the waitress responded that is what fried noodles look like. Being from Macau and fluent in Cantonese, i found that to be offensive, but since the obnoxiousness was so high and i was hungry, i found no point in arguing, as One should not argue with a costumer in the first place. Unfortunately besides getting the wrong dish, it was extremely salty and oily and the won ton soup tasted like it was full of MSG. I would definitely not recommend anybody going there looking for authentic chinese, because IT IS NOT and if One chooses to go, be very carefull ordering!!!! Will not be returning there.

im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants, war es unserer Meinung nach zu teuer. Das Essen war gut, aber nicht aussergewöhnlich.

Went here for the first time with my wife and was not impressed with the styling of the furniture but decided to stay. The restaurant was clean and the staff helpful but I did not find the seating very comfortable. Now to the food which was good quality and plentiful. We had a set menu believing on a first visit this was the best thing to do. We were not disappointed everything was freshly cooked and tasty and I ate too much because it was there.Well worth a try.

We come to Local Friends fairly frequently (about once a month) and get takeaway from them too. On this occasion we visited as a group of 8 for dinner on a Saturday night. Staff was very patient as some of us turned up late (fortunately for us the restaurant was not too busy). We got some spicy Szechuan dishes as well as some Cantonese dishes. Loved the pig ears, mouth-watering spicy chicken, fatty pork belly, and the steamed seabass. We had a great meal and even got a discount at the end! Very happy.

This is the first time I am writing a review on TripAdvisor and the reason is because I am seriously disappointed by this place. I ordered vegetable rice and the Cantonese duck for delivery, and while the rice was ok if only a little bland, the duck was a wobbly piece of meat on some white cabbage in a boring broth. I am aware that the cabbage is part of the Cantonese style but I would have expected at least some kind of seasoning on the duck. To make things worth the delivery guy could not even give me change on a small note, so I had to tip more than I would have otherwise. Really disappointed and will never order from there again. Every other delivery I have had has been better if not cheaper.

My wife and I had left Cambridge early on our way down to Gatwick airport to make a stop at this restaurant for lunch. This being our second and certainly not last visit to this authentic Chinese eatery. This food is authentic Hunan province fare, and if you're not a fan of authentic Chinese food this is not for you. If you don't like it too spicy; it's not for you either. For the rest of us this is gorgeous.At both times we've been there the food has been perfect and the service has been friendly and attentative. The interior decor is really nice and the sofa booths are very comfortable to sit in.This time we got the Lamb "Paper Wok" dish and Chairman Mao's favourite pork belly dish. If it was good enough for the Chairman, it's certainly good enough for me! The "Paper Wok" is something that I haven't seen before; the dish is served in a sort-of-like wok shaped holder lined with a sheet of paper with an open flame below it. Very cool.We'll be back!

The seaweed was too salty. The rice overboiled. the food not tasty. Service mediocre. Loud muzak drowned out our conversation. The service not particularly fast. The servers ended up eating their own meal, ignoring our needs.

Recently updated inside, now with formal banquettes which give you a cosy personal space all to yourself. Stunning food with more imaginative and off beat choices from the usual Chinese fare. Highly recommended. I was the only Caucasian diner with the rest of the room happily filled with chatty oriental couples, families and children. Excellent service, somewhat inclined to help alcoholics indulge themselves but unfussy aside from that.

Have been going to Local Friends on and off for several years, so both before and after the change of ownership a couple of years ago.The menu, service and food quality are predictable and unexceptional, though dependable.If you manage to find the member of staff whose English is better then you have a good opportunity to have some customisation of your order and these bespoke arrangements work well as the kitchen is then attentive.

This restaurant serves both Cantonese and Hunanese dishes. The dim sum was not done very well at all. My wife and I felt that the food must either be made off the premises and acquired by them frozen, or the dim sum chef was not actually fully trained. We did however, give them the benefit of the doubt and consoled ourselves when we were waiting for the main courses as they were Hunan-ese/Sichuan dishes, which were their speciality. How wrong were we!! Not only did the dishes bear very little resemblance to the photographs in the menu, the dishes were poorly executed. The only saving grace is that the service was not also below average.

I have been going to this restaurant for many years and always found it to be reliable and not too expensive.Recently it has been taken over so that there has been a change in the staff,the decor and the menu.I think it is improved bu this.the menu is very helpfully in colour with photos of many dishes both familiar and unfamiliar.I have never had a bad experience here.I certainly think that it is the best chinese restaurant in Golders green.
