We tried this place today as our usual restaurant over the road was busy and had 30 minute wait time. We have our one year old with us so waiting isn’t really an option. So as we sat down, nobody came to take our order until I called a waitress over. As I started my order I then ordered chicken satay skewers but asked if I could have no satay sauce and swap it for any other option as I can’t have a peanut sauce she said no, I said I’m happy to pay any extra charge, she shouted the manager over and she just said no lol! I explained as a family of 5 I would be spending at least £75 (in a restaurant that was empty on a Sunday afternoon) she again said no change of sauce I said fair enough.. walked out went back to my normal restaurant (lucky Chinese) there was a table now available. I spent £85 and had the nicest meal as per usual. So thanks for refusing to change a sauce to all of you! I will gladly say I will never be back and will continue to use possibly the best Chinese restaurant you can find locally! Oh and from what I remember the last time I ate at magic taste house the food was average and cold!!

Very good quality food and the service is great, I've been going there for a few months now and would highly recommend going there.

Decent food at a good price, What's not to like?

Ordered food from here, food was cold and unfresh, seemed as if it was leftovers from the night before. Meat was not nice at all and some dishes were so salty or didn’t have any taste.

The best Chinese food we (2 people) have ever had. The restaurant is plain and quite dated, but the food was delicious, the green beans in special sauce, with meat were a revelation! and the prices were very reasonable. Will definitely go back

Brilliant value for money! Only £6.80 and you can get soup/soft drink with a very large portion of rice or noodles (spicy or not you should ask). Anywhere else it might have costed from £25-50. All in all 4 people ate £28 and there was like 50% leftover. Great service.

I think the secret is to order the more authentically Chinese food on the menu. If you order the standard British 'Cantonese' dishes, then it's OK but unremarkable.

A great place that does both the popular Chinese dishes and more rare regional specialities that are very tasty.

The foods are extremely unfresh, me and my friends went there for dinner but unfortunately almost all of us felt uncomfortable after the dinner. Some of us vomited while some of us felt dizzy. Unbelievably harmful to our health

The ingredients are very unfresh. Six of us went for dinner and one of our friends vomited twice during the night after eating, me and another friend felt dizzy and had a very upset stomach.

Went as a group twice before,service poor but as we were chatting we didn't mind too much. 3rd and definitely last time yesterday,the service was very poor,waited 10mins for initial drinks order.starters took forever to come, my chicken satay was not cooked properly, i sent it back only to get attitude from the young server saying it WAS cooked thecsame as the other 2 satays my friend had(turns out half theirs were inedible too), i waited a good 15mins for my remaining starter to arrive back(what was 6 skewers came back as 4,sauce salter than the original).mains took an age and came out very spaced out.foid was nice actually and presented nicely. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL

Did not enjoy this meal,I don’t complain about much but this was poor, I live near this restaurant and thought I would give it a go. Will not go back.

Completely inedible, tasted incredibly weird. Have had to bin the entire lot. Curry sauce is water and the crispy chicken not cooked correctly. Soggy and tiny portion of salt and pepper fries. Absolute waste of money

We ordered a takeaway from this restaurant and Unfortunately it was the worst curry we have had.Tasteless and a film of oil covering the top of the food.

Chinese Sichuan cuisine tastes good but can be greasy. It's special to have to sing karaoke.

Reasonable price and quality of food

Do not eat at this place !! The food was way too greasy and tasteless and the service was really bad. I think it was microwaved, as it only took two minutes for our meal to be served. Overall the worst experience at a Chinese restaurant I’ve had so far!

Overall the food was tasty. We did have to wait an hour for the food from the lunch menu to be delivered, and had to remind them that 2 of the 4 of us hadn't got food after 50 minutes. Decor needs a bit of work - it was modernized, but it's getting tattered in places, and not being maintained.

Lvce this place, please try the crispy spicy chicken (mild spice)

Not a great selection of vegan products available, a few veggie options. Won't accept card payments for eating in or takeaway and not stated on window or door so make sure you take cash!!

Where do I start. Walk in, few people eating, eventually a waitress acknowledges our presence, get a table next to a baby buggy and an infants seating thing on the table next to ours. The usual Chinese inscrutable welcome. Order food, very average, but cheap. Paid bill and left. Overall experience 1/10, food 3/10. Would I go back, never.

The price is not high, the portion is large and the taste is good, but the lack of fire path may be due to the equipment.

We ordered lemon chicken and portion of fried rice, when we got it home the portion of lemon chicken was tiny and was not edible! There was pieces that was just batter and the pieces that did have a very very thin bits of chicken that it was stringy and difficult to eat, it was tasteless and the rice also very bland! I’m not sure why anyone would ever return to this restaurant! I will never return it was the worse meal that we have ever had to try and eat! Anyway three quarters of it went into the bin! Please don’t waste your money

They don't do the all you can eat anymore - even though it is still advertised on their menu online and in their window. Just writing this to give people a heads up.

I used to go to the Lucky Star which is roughly opposite on the same road, as that restaurant used to be excellent. But felt that we would try this Magic Taste House for a change, and we all enjoyed the food. Will go back.

Great food but a word of warning - Do Not Pay by card when eating in. Potential scam. I've been a couple of times and had just noticed (as the shop keeper refused to show me) through my account that the restaurant charged me the £3 everytime for using their machine. Absolute extortion and no warning

Took my mum and daughter for Christmas .loved food was really good and fantastic value..we will be back

Salt and pepper chips were not what I expected, prawn crackers were soft not crunchy but the sauces tasted OK

The Chinese delivery man doesn't speak English and doesn't try phoning you id he can't get to your property. We have a code on our gate and despite giving clear instructions that there a gate with a code and they should phone me the guy spent 2 seconds trying the gate and walked off. I managed to catch him just as he was driving away. When I asked him why he was driving off without phoning m he just smiled at me saying 'yes, yes' over and over. The food was great but it could have been a nightmare for me to have to prove that there was no fault on my part (I had CCTV recorded of the incident)

Visited with friends for a quick meal I enjoyed some delicious food, offered at a very reasonable price, and with great flexibility. None can fault the portions. I will certainly visit again.

Wonderful food. When picking up I needed to wait an extra five minutes so they gave me a large bottle of coke on the house! Great quality and big portions for the price. Definitely coming here again!

Rip off merchants. We went here because my friend wanted to support a local Chinese business after hearing that many were being avoided due to Coronavirus. We had the buffet each as we didn't really know what we fancied. When the bill came we were billed for 3 people so it ultimately cost us the same amount that a decent steak would have cost and the food wasn't particularly great.

Delicious food at reasonable prices and good portion sizes. The staff are lovely and the restaurant also offers a selection of beers, albeit quite small. But anyways enough of that and let's get onto why you are really here reading this review... The karaoke! The karaoke here is first of all incredibly cheap, instead of charging per person it is just per hour, irrespective of the party size, which means when you split the bill it won't break the bank account. The rooms are clean, well designed with comfortable seats and are relatively sound proof. So you don't need to worry about others hearing you screeching like a cat is being strangled. The karaoke software has American, British, Chinese and Korean artists and it is also possible to download more songs onto the software. So come down today and sing your heart out!

The food is made fresh to order. Lots of options including vegatrian.

Myself husband and daughter visit regular for there all you can eat menu, the food is great and cooked fresh which is why we like to go. Always great with our daughter, and make us feel very welcome!

Had to return the half duck as was expecting so much better for a £15 dish, it was correctly cut, but very few meat and the skin was like goo, when it should be crispy. I also don't understand why some items are discounted only if they are to take away. Toilets need attention. Management problems.

Been here a few times and it’s been okay.. they seem to struggle when more then a couple of people are in. Brought the family for my birthday meal.. poor service and awful quality. Long waits between dishes arriving and things coming at different times. Rice came last a good 15 mins after the dishes. Everyone had gave up by then. Not a single ounce of customer service.. no one asking if everything’s ok. Just come to the table and say “yes” when they want you to order. Won’t be returning. Plates hot but food cold! Seem to be possibly microwaved. What a shame!

Thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The food was delicious. Nothing is too much trouble. The atmosphere was inviting & relaxing. Definitely the best flavours I have tasted. Loved it & would recommend this place . Wonderful with children too

I had a takeaway a couple of months ago. It was very good. Today during the lunchtime I saw that they do a buffet, I thought I'll give it ago. I wish I didn't bother as the 1st dish they brought to the table was off. They have tried to cover it with lots of vinegar, but the food tasted way off. It stunk and tasted rotten. I haven't tasted anything like that before. It made me very ill immediately (I was throwing up in their toilet). Hopefully no food poisoning later. No apology or reduction to the bill. I won't have Chinese for a while after that and I will never come back here.

Quick service, very very warm room! Staff friendly and pleasant but there were done miscommunications within our meal experience. I would NOT recommend eating here if you are a vegetarian, nothing is labelled on the menu and things I was told we vegetarian did not seem to be! But the non veggies in our group had a great time devouring the buffet!

Excellent food which seemed freshly cooked, so don't go there in a hurry. If you're prepared to wait just a little while you'll not regret it.

I ordered food from Hungry Panda, but I didn’t receive a call at first. Their food delivery staff had a very bad attitude and yelled at people. They hung up the phone and left immediately. I suggest you not order food from this place. The food delivery staff have violent tendencies, so as not to cause any trouble. Experience, I don’t know what the attitude of the waiters is like when I go to the store.

Cheap and large in size But still different to the original roasted duck and pork rice I always ate in Hong Kong

Wonderful staff and amazing mapo tofu!

We went on a Monday around 5:30pm and the place was quite empty. We decided to have the hot pot and so we got a table in a room. The hot pot is all inclusive but they don’t have a menu what food you can order. They will first give you a platter of Vegetables and a platter of seafood/assorter fishballs fish sticks then a plate of beef and a plate of lamb. You could order more food but we didn’t order anymore as it was so much and because of the unlimited drinks option we can’t even finish our first platter... There is a sauce satiation aswell so you can mixed your own sauce. The only think I didn’t like was too cold in the room... i has never felt so cold after hot pot 😂 Will definitely return

4 adults and one child, we are 4 buffet's . Excelled section all fresh and served quickly. Child picked at our selection. Nice looking decor and well furnished. Bar had good selection of drinks on Yahoo and bottle. Food and service excellent.

Starters were nice enough on the "buffet menu" but every main course was just deep fried with some sweet and sour sauce thrown on top. Egg fried rice was just boiled rice. Really dissapointed

My wife is Chinese, we know where to go for the best chinese food in Beeston and Nottingham after years of trying. This is one of the best by far, food and service and if hygiene is important it's also very good unlike other Chineses.

Superb meal on Saturday. Seven of us enjoyed really tasty dishes and good service without breaking the bank. Thanks to the staff and will certainly come back.

This is a terrible restaurant, exactly like being in the poorest parts of South China. Also the toilet facilities are decusting.

An unusual "buffet". Rather than tureens of food to help yourself from, you order what you want and they cook it fresh for you. You can order as much as you like from an extensive menu of starters, soups, main dishes, rices, etc. They were occasionally slow, inattentive and forgetful, but for "all you can eat" at the price, cannot complain. The quality of the food was good. The aubergine with black bean sauce was particularly tasty.
