Terrible house rice gave me food poisoning

We have had delivery and picked up a take away from here multiple times and never disappoints! Noodles are yummy, Crispy lamb is our favourite! All food is full to the brim and very tasty! Doesn't all taste the same like a lot of Chinese places! Is and will be our go to!

Ordered via deliveroo, only 5 items but they still managed to forget one. Called the restaurant straight away to let them know and the manager accused me of lying! After a while she said she would send one out but it would take around 30 mins for another driver to be available! I said shall I wait whilst my other food gets cold and she said yes! Very very rude manager! Refused a refund too. Absolutely appalling customer service and after alll that. The 4 dishes we did have and eat the food was average at best! Chicken balls were mainly batter and the crispy chilli beef was terrible again, just batter and was cold! I would avoid at all costs!

Use this place occasionally, ordered takeout about £60 and massively disappointed! Noodles taste burnt chips manky , taste over cooked and reheated . Normally it’s ok to average but today I’m pretty annoyed due the expense and rubbish quality of food . Sorry guys your gonna have to do better ( even prawn crackers taste old )

Food very greasy sweet-and-sour chicken very little sauce so quite dry The spring roll it was battered and very greasy filling especially the beansprouts overcooked on the whole I don’t think I’d use them again

Me and son spent 30 pounds and waited 15 mins this was our first time coming here as our usual Chinese was closed. The spring rolls were horrid didn't even look like a spring roll in a pancake roll more like in batter. No flavour beansprouts over cooked and soggy. Pawn toast very tough. Noodles lacking in flavour. If the Chicken curry was home made I would be surprised as reminded me of bookers curry sauce mix. Was very disappointed

The food below average.Pork was tough. Unfortunately, it's not somewhere I'd rush back to for food. As for the toilets. It's in a very poor state of repair. And water leaks from the roof. 10% service charge added on top of the bill. That's just disgusting. it should be optional. It's just another way of scamming genuine people out of more money.

Absolutely disgusting how the staff spoke and treated us! shouldn’t get a job if you don’t know how to treat paying customers so rude would not recommend if you want to feel comfortable. Food was under cooked with an attitude when asked politely to take it back. Disgusting

One of best Chinese Restaurant's/takeaways in my area food won't disappoint

I've only been there a couple of times due to not living in the area but I have to say that both times I have found the food to be out of this world, the staff are very attentive and very friendly, loved the overall experience, I would definitely recommend trying out this restaurant

Waited over 1.5 hours for a delivery that was only a 10 min drive.Can’t fault the food,lots of it however it was a set meal for 2 and all seemed to taste the same.Maybe just a bad choice on my part.

Food was good, portions on the small side but they were more than happy to bring more.

Just poor all round, (salt and pepper) chips were undercooked and in the box with veg makes them soggy, no sprice and very plain. Garlic chicken was very watery and flavourless. Low effort, which perfectly described the fortune cookie.

Excellent food for delivery one of my favorites.

Will not be using this takeaway again! The delivery was longer than we where told 45-50 mins - was 1hr 10min which we didn’t mind being a Friday obviously busy! However the food was cold the chips were rock hard and cold ! The whole lot went in the bin ! I called Wing Tai and got a negative response to my request for a refund We don’t do refunds !!! I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered Defo will not use them again - avoid this place at all costs !

This is now Wing Tai Chinese Restaurant and six of us went there friday, we had a Great meal, service was brilliant, staff wonderful and the food was great, highly recommend this place as it is now under near owners and its called Wing Tai Chinese Restaurant

Nice friendly staff. It can be a bit of a waiting game as the manager seems to be running everything. Food though plenty of it wasn't the best.

Quick delivery, great quality food, all meat was really tender and we couldn't fault it. Very impressed, we shall be ordering again.

During lockdown we had many takeaways. We live just a few doors away so we got great service. Eating in is the best experience now. Yes it's dated but we love going in a group. Starters are served on a large plate, you can keep ordering as much as you like. Garlic mushrooms are great. We tried a few others the waitress suggested. The hot and sour soup is my favourite. Main dishes are OK, we're usually too full when we get there. Never had a pudding for the same reason. The only criticism was no draft beer, just bottles, so I drink wine in their now.

Food was nice but took its time to reach the table. Decor needs to be improved as well as the heater / air con.

Ordered 2.5 hours late, blamed us for not answering phone when driver didn’t knock on door at all!!!! Driver didn’t know which gate when I told him and restaurant stated he knocked on door when he didn’t!!! Nearly 3 hours later to get the same food cold and sat in vechile and not cooked fresh! Sea weed was drowning in sugar and not what we normally ordered! Been going here for 4 years and no care, consideration or refund or customer service for what we received! Woman on phone rude and dismissive like she was with the driver who tried to and failed to deliver, I spoke to driver on two occasions and he didn’t know what gate or house so didn’t knock as protested but the woman on the phone! Do not order here they have either changed hands or gone down hill! Originally said 50 mins delivery which we understood as Saturday but ordered at 5.55pm and received at 8.20pm not acceptable at all. Disgraceful customer service and blaming the customer. Now they blocked my calls I know it’s not much money £18.00 but it’s not the point and to be spoken to in that way as if I had done something wrong isn’t right at all. Disgrace and to tell me your sea weed normally looks like that you can’t change the receipy, well it’s not looked like that for that last 4 years and shouldn’t be covered in sugar! Do not order get a mcdonalds!

Ordered through just eat for 6pm, was amazed by the real low price for a set menu for one person as was sweet n sour balls, chix chop suey and egg rice for under a tenner! food arrived exactly 6pm, portions were massive! But the pork balls all were the driest , darkest cuts of meat, luckily i could drown then in sauce but still like chewing leather. The chop suey was better, the chicken was nice but it just didn't have much flavour tasted like watered down sweet n sour. The rice was hard, it was also very dry, when I decided I could not possibly eat anymore I had to rinse my mouth out multiple times to get out all the dry sticky mess between my gums and mouth walls. I am giving 2 stars because delivery driver was on time, the order was correct, the price was good and the portions are very generous just let down by the quality of my order. I hope this was a one off, as my parents tell me this is the only takeaway they use.

Lovely little restaurant and will do orders for vegatairian if asked and not in the menu as vegatairian.

Appalling service, delivery didn't turn up and we were told "English driver he is useless he dosnt turn up" "it's not my fault" oh and my fave "what do you want me to do about it" plus being hung up on 4 times and waiting for 3 hours for food to arrive witch never did. Rudrest person i have ever encountered. Can't mark lower then 1 star!!!!

VERY POOR !!! Not even worth a star. Definitely the worst Chinese I’ve ever had. I ordered a takeaway for a Friday treat and how disappointed I was when it turned up. Everything tasted of dirty dishwater and ended up in the bin. I phoned the restaurant to request a refund and was told money off next time, trust me there won’t be a next time. So please if your thinking of getting a Chinese from this place don’t bother you’ll be wasting your money just like I did.

I have loved this place for so long and normally really good with authentic food but tonight after 6 months their food was not great, veg browning, dumpling and the wonton soup was really poor. Best thing was the mushrooms, sorry to say I won't be going b

took over an hour to get our starters and when they finally came they mixed both meat and vegetarian starters on one plate when we had told them that one of us was vegetarian. when we told them they didn’t seem to care and acted as if it didn’t matter. we ended up leaving without eating. aswell as this a table that arrived after us had already eaten both of their courses whilst we were still waiting for our first.

Waited an hour and a half to be served starters which was then brought with both meat and vegetarian dishes on one plate. When we told the staff they didn't seem to care and kept telling us two minutes. Meanwhile another table that arrived after us had already been served both courses and were ready to pay. we eventually left without eating.

Nice clean restaurant, if a bit dated in terms of interior. Street parking which is nice. Food is really tasty and is very quick out, service is polite if a bit distant.

Great service, very friendly. Good quality food with interesting range of dishes. Very busy tonight so will reserve next time.

Very poor food we had a selection of minuscule starters served on cold plates followed by cold crispy duck on a cold plate followed by our mains small portions again on cold plates not very tasty the tables are covered in plastic which reminded me of the old transport cafes looks good on the outside but that’s where the good ends.Compared to its previous owners these leave a huge amount to be desired

To tell the truth, we were all very disappointed! If you remember when this was the Beijing, the food was freshly cooked, and plenty of it! Not so anymore!!! Everything was bland, tasteless, and not at all good on the eye! We ordered 4/5 initial starters, and asked for enough for 4 people. Whereas the old Beijing would bring out individual dishes, ours was all served up on one dinner plate!! The garlic mushrooms was a tiny little portion on the side of the plate, sprinkled with a few onions, and a couple of chillies! Not a steaming bowl of mushrooms swimming in chilli/garlic, as they used to be! I did ask the question.....to be told they don't do that anymore! But it's in the menu!!! Weird! The capital ribs....2 inch long bones!!! Someone forgot the meat! Salt and pepper squid,....3 or 4 pieces or what can only be described as 'old calamari'. Ugh! Spicy prawns,...straight out of a freezer bag, and dropped in a cauldron of fat! Let's not forget, all this on one normal sized dinner plate. We laughed!!!! The other 3 ordered a main meal,...not me though. I'd seen enough! One had a chow mein. (Boiled noodles) more like spaghetti. Covered in tomato sauce stuff! Ugh! One had prawn thai curry. Boiled prawns swimming in some coloured water! Shall I go on.....! What i should of mentioned right from the start, was as soon as we got our ,'starters', (so we were now committed to staying,...), we were told the kitchen would shut in 30 mins. Chop chop, hurry up!! Anyhoo....all said and done, cost us over £100, for the experience. Not going again. So save your money, and get a 'take in'. Yuk,... and double yuk. Your welcome.

The customer service we received tonight was appalling. The worst I have experienced in my life the young girl needs to go on a course to teach her some simple manners, made my whole family feel uncomfortable from the moment we got in there! Shame behind the food is lovely

Now known as Wang Tai, used to go regularly when Beijing and always enjoyed it. Now however... fancy new sign outside but same old inside. Prices increased and not worth it for those with a small/normal appetite @ £18 per person plus drinks talking of which they charged us £5.40 for a small pot of Chinese tea 😱 Service was very slow and it looked as though they’d just dragged the first person in of the street to come and help out for the night.. We ordered salt baked mushrooms they brought us the squid 🤮which although we have no known allergies to fish the smell of it does turn us non fish eaters off, they then left it there for what felt like an eternity as it came on the same plate as the other starters. Otherwise the food was ok but not worth the money or the long wait endured throughout the evening.

We had sweet & sour chicken balls the chicken was not cooked inside we returned to get a refund the girl was rude and didnt want to refund us for the whole meal till we mentioned environmental health will not be returning !

It's fair to say this isn't a great nor a bad restaurant, it's mediocre. Similarly, it's not terrific value but not bad value either. If you arrive early enough you can order many dishes and improve the value. Be prepared to wake up thirsty the following day thanks to the MSG...

I have to say that every time I have visited this restaurant the service has been great and the food tasty. I have vistied as both a vegetarian and now a vegan and the staff are helpful in providing us with food we can eat. My meat eating companions have also enjoyed their meals. Yes the decor is dated but surely its who you are eating with that matters not your surroundings? Will continue to visit!! When a seperate vegan menu is provided I will give 5 stars :)

If you want to go out and eat its worth trying this chinese restaurant. We went a few Sundays ago and everyone since. The menu and food is very good, tasty and reasonably priced. Its an all you can eat one or take away.Have been there a few times now and the service is great, food great and actual restaurant is nice to be in. So worth trying out.

This place has been renamed Wing tai :::: and is not on trip adviser and I wonder why ?? We went on a Friday Eve , place had a few in there including a table of the undesirables with there kids screaming lovely language which you hear at a football match or people getting high Rated over Brexit !! Anyway have not been for a few years but from the bridge had seen the new signs saying WING TAI Restaurant so I thought it had been taken over , we will give it a try .... Ordered the food it started to come out and seemed OK ... Got to the curry :: well I think they forgot to put the curry in with the SALT 🧂 never had any food so salty , that repeated on me for the next 2 days ... and lots of salt is only used for one Reason ??? They have spent enough on the signs but like normal with these people who just change the name they don’t spend a penny inside ... To anyone going in there PLEASE wear wellies because the so called Carpet which has been down since the place was built in the 60d is so thick with Sh-t and that’s no joke you take five mins to get to the toilet because you have to prise your feet off the sticky carpet , Sadly the sort of place you wipe your feet on the way out .... To the Management !! Spend some money on the inside and if you can’t remove the Carpet because it has taken root , re-concrete over and use wooden flooring you only have to shovel the food off that .... and if the dinning side is like that what are the Kitchens like as I gather you only have a 2 rating on the scores on the doors .... You really have to improve the inside or there will another name above the door but of course all with the same staff as normal .. Will I be back ( Not a Chance )

Very disappointed with the food I had delivered this evening . All of it was cold apart from the rice and the batter on the chicken balls, the spring rolls were soggy and the crispy chilli beef was just chewy and not crispy at all!!

We decided to go the night before my sons Birthday as we've had takeaways from there before and they've always been really good. The service was poor and we had to keep asking for things like a menu and if someone could actually take our order! Other people were getting served before us even though they came in after, they had their kids eating in the restaurant, walking around, coughing over everyone! There was no atmosphere in there, no music, the carpet was disgusting. The food itself not too bad, we got our bill and didn't realise it was a buffet price as we just ordered the duck and some dishes afterwards, they didn't say anything at the time of ordering and we didn't see anything on the menu although looking the next day there is a big sign on the window lol. Anyway I complained about the pricing and he changed the bill so we only paid for what we ate. It was £10 cheaper! Sorry but won't be going back, wish we'd gone to Rice in Yateley instead!!!

This is a great restaurant to go to, the service is outstanding and the food is incredible. I am definitely going to return as it was a pleasing experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Ordered takeaway last night (06/02/19) for 1. 3 items, expected delivery was 40-60 mins. After waiting the full hour, I called the restaurant and was told that the "driver was slow because she's a woman". What an excuse! All while giggling and laughing, followed by "I'll call you back in a minute OK OK thank you OK". 15 minutes later, still nada. I called back and told them to "can the order, I'm now beyond hungry and can't be bothered. Just refund me please I give up". To which the response was "so you want to cancel?" Obviously, this made me even more fed up and pee'd off. I demanded a refund and was informed that he will refund the money, this time with a more serious demeanour. I will never attempt this restaurant again, ever. The review below mine has a striking resemblance to my experience too. On another note, I'm sure the delivery driver will be delighted to know that she's rubbish at her job because she's a woman, great stuff. Oh, I forgot to mention the conclusion to the story! I put the phone down after demanding a refund and the food showed up. I answered the door, took the food and put it straight in the bin as it was ice cold! Now, where is that refund...?

2 hours waiting. When called the staff were ignorant and rude. We never received the food. We placed an order through just eat, the delivery time was extended. After waiting for 30mins after this time. we decided to call the restaurant to find out how much longer it would be. we were told it was out for delivery. Waited a further 45 minutes before calling back, then was told they would call the driver and call me back. 15mins later I have to call them, they ask to call me back again. Not once did I receive an apology untill I mentioned this. When I said I would like a refund. The staff member laughed asking if i would like to cancel the order. This is the second experience we've had. Neither was good. Avoid as much as possible.

We’ve eaten at Wing Tai many times since it changed from Beijing, always had very good service and lovely food. However, we visited on Friday the 30th of November 2018 for my sons 18th along with family and friends who had never been before. As soon as we arrived we found the staff to be abrupt. The restaurant was busy with only two members of waiting staff so maybe that’s why? The food was nice and everyone was having a good time until our friend pulled a black hair at least six inches long out of his duck pancake! We pointed it out to the waiter in a very polite and discreet way, he took the duck away but didn’t even apologise. I asked to speak to the manager who implied it was one of our hairs..... all ladies in our party were blonde so definitely wasn’t. He then refused to serve us anymore food and gave us the bill. £159 for 8 starters and our drinks. More than happy to pay for the drinks we had but not the meal after the disgusting level of service we received. Tried to reason with him but didn’t want to cause a scene or embarrass my son on his birthday so paid. No apology or concern shown about the hair by manager of this restaurant. We will not eat here again.

Myself, my husband, my sister and her partner, my in-laws and some very good friends of ours have visited here on many an occasion and we have never been disappointed! The food is delicious and the gentleman who serves us (I believe he is the owner) is always so lovely.
