Lovely little pub with a great quiz on a Tuesday

We had a brilliant afternoon tea for 7, the food was excellent as were the service and cakes especially. Nothing too much trouble.

Great fun on a Friday night - ukulele duo so, so good! Great covers of a range of songs and so talented! Great evening! The Rock rocks!

I have been twice in two weeks, we went for evening meal and was blown away with the quality of food quantity is really big and I had small eater. The price was really red noble. Decided to re book for Sunday lunch and it was amazing, did not need to add any salt or pepper to the food as the taste was perfect. Would highly recommend

Second time here visiting family in the lovely town of Pencoed. Had the small breakfast, which filled me & coffee. Well cooked and great service from very nice young staff. All for 7 pounds, worth a visit, would recommend.

We were in Maesteg for a visit and thought we’d call into the market but found it had permanently closed 5 months previously. This cafe used to be in the market but is now in a precinct area just outside of it. We both went for the all day breakfast for £4 - great value - bacon, sausage, egg, hash brown, beans or tomatoes, mushrooms and toast as well as a mug of tea or coffee. For an extra £1 you could have had another egg, bacon, sausage, hash brown and a slice of black pudding. The place was clean and tidy and the staff friendly. If we ever return to Maesteg we’d be happy to return here.

The food took us all by surprise! It was really really nice! Though the interior was a surprise to say the least, being very modern and minimal compared to the classic British pub we were expecting from the outside, the food was great! I had chicken with a cream sauce and potato cake which was divine, and all the other meals got high praise - a steak sarnie, steak and chips, and cauliflower fritters too. All lovely. The staff went above and beyond for us, and despite a lengthy wait, it was so worth it! Thanks so much, and if you’re looking for a well-priced quality meal in the area, I don’t think there’s much better!

I am not afraid to say it, I basically have 4 daddies... As up and coming member of the daddy club (even with my poor excuse of facial hair) this ticks all the boxes you would want as a dad. Beers, plentiful of food, great portions and fantastic drinks. People might say I have daddy issues but let's change that mindset. I only have daddy solutions and this restaurant should solve all your problems, daddy recommends.

Beautiful grounds. Great area for kids to play in. Cafe is nice but service is usually slow.

My family and I went for a birthday meal this evening. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. I absolutely could not fault the place! It's both clean and bright, would definitely recommend!
