We were in Maesteg for a visit and thought we’d call into the market but found it had permanently closed 5 months previously. This cafe used to be in the market but is now in a precinct area just outside of it. We both went for the all day breakfast for £4 - great value - bacon, sausage, egg, hash brown, beans or tomatoes, mushrooms and toast as well as a mug of tea or coffee. For an extra £1 you could have had another egg, bacon, sausage, hash brown and a slice of black pudding. The place was clean and tidy and the staff friendly. If we ever return to Maesteg we’d be happy to return here.

Found this place "by accident" tucked away in Maesteg Market Hall. Everything looked lovely. We were initially just going to have a cuppa. But decided to ask if any of the desserts were gluten free as I'm diagnosed celiac (no gluten/wheat. Delighted to be told they had a gluten free knickerbocker glory. OMG it took me right back to my childhood, definitely a return visit is on the cards 💕😁

Don’t go here if you want fast food but definitely go if you want very good food. Everything is homemade and it’s tough to choose what to have. Make sure you save room for desert or even better just have lots of deserts 😂

El café es demasiado pequeña. La comida no estaba mal. Personal amable.

Hidden in the depths of Maesteg's covered market is this gem; all I can say is that I had a beautiful welcome and the breakfast is worth the trip alone. Think bacon, quality herb filled sausages and proper granary bread. Well done! (Shame I couldn't manage a cake to take with me)

A modest setting with limited seating, but worth a visit. The food is organic, home made. A simple menu which is always first class. Home made soups with hunks of buttered bread, tasty panini's, salads, breakfast specials. The dish of the day is always special. Lovely coffee and speciality teas available. Shhhhh it's a well kept secret.

Very popular café inside the indoor market in Maesteg in the Llynfi Valley north of Bridgend. Always busy with a warm welcome from the staff. Lovely home-cooked food, "doorstep" toast and delicious homemade cakes. Café only seats around twenty people and its often full!

The cafe in Maesteg Market is spotlessly clean and uses organic ingredients. As well as a slap up breakfast, it offers a variety of cakes and sandwiches. Soups and salads are available lunchtime. After breakfast, it is pleasant to wander around the stalls and new outlets in the outside market of the old parish.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in Bridgend; fine dining with excellent service, lovely and creative food options, good wine and at a reasonable price. Highly recommended!

This is an awful Pub. The images on here are old. The place looks grotty and tired now. The staff are not too alert either. An unwelcoming place with far better pubs within 100 yards of this.

Wonderful food from an adventurous menu in a wonderful setting - quiet and relaxed with an oldy world feeling.
