Excellent Sunday lunch, possibly the best we've had in South Wales so far. Need to come again to check it wasn't a fluke! Plenty of happy staff buzzing around and the service was top notch. Very well done and keep up the good work!

Our 2nd time to visit The Swan, very friendly staff, food was great, with an above average portion size, great for a family meal. We will most certainly be going back soon.

We went for a Christmas meal and it was outstanding. Plenty of meat, vegetables and gravy. Good size dessert. Don't have the cheese board if you are full, big portions and choice of cheeses. Great attention by the staff.

6/1/24: Seen lots of posts on Facebook of people saying it's a nice place, so thought we would try. Arrived just after 12 & it was busy, which is a good sign. Warmly greated by all the staff working & asked if we wanted to open a tab as we was going to order food. The good thing is that we could sit anywhere even though we had our dog, mist places stick you in the corner. We ordered jacket potato with prawns & a chicken tika wrap with a side of home cut chips. Took around 15 minutes for our food to arrive & by then there was no tables left, just seats at the bar. Food was amazing, not only in taste but value for money. Staff: 10/10: Welcoming, friendly & knowledgeable. Food: 10/10: Only the first time eating here but was amazing & looking at the other dishes coming out, my mouth was watering. Atmosphere: 10/10: Nearly everyone was talking to each other & not on their phones (except the kids). A genuine local pub. This is definitely a warm & welcoming village establishment & will highly recommend to family and friends.

Went with 7 friends on Friday for the Christmas 2/3 course meal. Absolutely fantastic service and the food was the best quality. All homemade and so tasty. Staff couldn’t do enough for you. Would highly recommend all their food.

Sunday lunch has to be the best in porthcawl. I honestly havent had such mouth watering beef like our incredible sunday lunch today before. It was 10/10 from our welcome to the service to the absolute insane meal. The size of the portions are incredible for the price. Great value for money. A real welsh traditional pub in the heart of village life. Thank you to the outstanding chef and the swan 🦢 staff.

Once again I’d like to congratulate the staff a the Swan Inn, Nottage. We booked Sunday lunch last weekend but it was so warm we asked if we could eat outside even though we’d reserved a table inside. The food was brought out within minutes by extremely pleasant staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The meal itself was delicious, beef so thick and tender ( cooked long and slow in Guinness I later found out). In fact there was so much I asked if would be possible to box up what was left, not for the dog but for me :) Theresa great beer selection with some cracking local brews and a good choice of wines. The staff were, as always, great. Always helpful and happy. So once again thanks to all the Swan gang both front of bar and in the kitchen for a great meal. Da iawn pawb, see you again soon. Cracking pub, lovely setting. We had a few drinks, good choice and we all had food, which was very nice, homemade steak& mushroom pie was cracking! The service was friendly and welcoming.

A great pub. We had Sunday lunch, the food was good, and the portions were generous plus reasonably priced. The staff were really lovely. My only criticism is the tables outside; although they look nice, it is very easy to knock over a drink due to the curved grooves. Will definitely return!

Birthday lunch for 5. Told that there would be a bit of a wait OK. Soda & lime with no trace of lime, when asked for more lime to be added was told he’d already squeezed 2 halves of lime into soda. Meals took ages to arrive very disappointed to find gammon,burgers undercooked, when we complained was told that a thermometer used was the right temp & cctv was in kitchen to prove it. On leaving a regular at the bar kept shouting CRACKING MEAL . Will not be returning !!! No SURPRISE THERE !!!

Food was great and good value for the money would go again.

It's a pity kids are allowed by their parents to use the outside seating area as an adventure playground running over the seats and climing the walls ,

I went to the swan with my son his partner and my 18 month old grandson, we arrived at about 5 pm and sat outside it was very quite, my son went and got some drinks and menus and the larger was excellent. we ordered some food about 15 minutes later Lucky for me I was not very hungry so ordered a jacket potato with chicken tikka masala and side salad, my son ordered ham egg and chips, his partner had chicken tikka skewers and chips and my grandson sausage cheesy mash and beans so not a difficult order. After waiting about 30 - 40 minutes our food arrived and I wished it had not, my jacket potato had loads of chicken in it but it was so dry and hard it was inedible it had been cooked and cooked and then cooked a bit more, I tried 2 pieces but could not chew through them and had to put them back on the plate so I had half a jacket potato and some curry sauce that was not worth what it cost, my sons ham and egg was okay but his partners chicken tikka skewers were the same as mine dry dry dry, the only good point of the meal was my grandsons sausage cheesy mash and beans which he did enjoy apart from the beans. Nobody likes to complain but believe me I would have if any of the staff had the good manners to come and ask if everything was okay or if we needed anything, But that is down to bad management and poor staff training.

I don’t know where to start! Our friends were back from Australia and were craving an amazing Sunday lunch. The swan went above and beyond. The staff are always super friendly and efficient. You always get a huge welcome. The food though is another level. Exceptional!! Really tasty and so much of it, we couldn’t move ! Adding to that although we went late and the kitchen had closed, one friend was craving a good home made desert ! And they opened it back up for her !! Outstanding! Definitely recommend

What a great place to eat. Had to drive around to find a parking space and quite a walk back to the Swan. However, it was well worth it! The .enu has a good choice that should suit everyone. It's not a bad price for the quality of the food. I would definitely recommend it. I had the pie and chips but it was hard to decide. We sat out in the beer garden my only criticism is the weight of the wooden chairs. So difficult to even move to sit down. I don't think it would be suitable for small children unless they just sit at table or you're willing to chase around after them as it goes straight out onto the road!!

Just had lunch and have nothing to complain about at all. As we entered, the front patio area was spotlessly clean. The inside of the pub was just as clean. It was fairly busy but we were quickly served by friendly staff. We selected a seat outside and didn't wait long for our food. We had a chicken tikka salad, prawns in Maryrose sauce sandwich and a side of sweet potato fries. The food was fresh and tasty and generous portion size. The prices were very reasonable and great value for money. All in all, a great experience and we will return and certainly recommend this place to others.

We have had a lovely warm welcome from Joe in the bar, he recommended the beef pie and chicken tikka kebabs. The food and service was lovely, the best kebabs I’ve ever had, made by Adam fresh every day, the chicken was succulent and beautifully spiced. My husband enjoyed the beef pie too. Dog friendly pub, wonderful people so friendly thank you very much

We have just moved into the Nottage area and have visited the Swan for drinks a number of times but this was our first visit for food. This is a friendly pub with real atmosphere. The food is tasty with portions big enough to defeat the heartiest eater. Proper home made pies. Customer Service is great too. We look forward to many more visits and being regulars!

Best place to Dine in Porthcawl Amazing Staff and the Food is to Die for

Returned again after a few months without coming to the swan! And what can I say! Apart from the fact that the food was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was amazing! And they had the rugby on! What more could a man ask for! (A family meal with tv for the boys) amazing beer selection! The girls had all the gin they could ask for! A flavour for everyone! Chris and the team absolutely smashing it as usual! What an amazing team and an amazing pub! The team cannot do enough for you will definitely return again! And Chris i hope you enjoyed the Guinness after your shift! Top man top team and top pub! Thanks guys!!

We had dinner with some friends at the Swan. Atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. Service was spot on for casual pub dining. Good choice of tasty food, ample portions at a decent price. Really enjoyed and look forward to visiting again.

Beautiful meal ,I would go there again but being elderly didn't see the signs and my Daughter with mentaL health issues didn't either ,yesterday she had a fine for 170 pounds because we were in the car park for The farmers arms ,so what was a 55pounds turned out to be a225 pound meal ,not on OAP Can't afford thT

If you are looking for an amazing meal, this is the place . On this occasion we had Sunday lunch! You may need to book but honestly the best lunch ever . It is a huge dinner, too much meat for me to eat (even for the men left food) and the cauliflower cheese is divine! Super quality, value for money. Highly recommend

The Swan is a lovely cosy village pub, we visited a few days ago for coffee and it was of very good quality, we also really like that they sell chocolate which I think is a great idea and more pubs should take a leaf out of their book. It has a lovely warm and cosy atmosphere and we will definitely return very soon.

We have had eaten 3 meals this week and they were all exceptionally good home cooked meals,very well presented and tasty food. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, even making us up a table when they were fully booked pub is fantastic

Nice pub with two or three real ales, typically Doombar, Pride or Bass. They're just kept a bit too cold.

First time there after many recommendations and wA not disappointed. The food was plentiful, well presented and delicious. We will return again and would thoroughly recommend to others . Enjoy

I have been here for drinks and found it very pleasant but on Friday I tried the food for the first time. I was very disappointed. We had a very long wait for food, I had to go and ask where it was. We ordered three baguettes and a chicken burger. My chicken burger was not nice, the bun was all dried up and the chicken itself was a very poor quality processed burger. They also initially did not get all our order correct. I hope this is just a blip as other people I have spoken to really enjoyed their food.

Food portions are large , excellent quality and freshly cooked . Best place to eat in the area .

Adorable village with cute skinny stone lanes. Friendly staff. Quaint interior and nice back garden. Gower gold was a delightful pint. Children and dogs allowed. Everyone enjoyed their pub fare from pies, to curries and top notch jacket potatoes!

Visited this pub twice whilst on holidays. Lovely village pub, friendly staff, good choice of drinks, nice large outdoor sunny seating area. Dog friendly inside & out which is fab. Had a few drinks here yesterday & also ordered food. Food was disappointing. I had the chicken tikka kebabs with chips & side salad. The Chicken was extremely dry & bland tasting, it was really hard to swallow. I asked if it came with a dip, they brought out a tiny portion of yoghurt & mint dip which was nice. The onions & peppers on the kebab were raw & had hardly been cooked on the grill to soften. I couldn't finish my meal as it was tasteless & dry. I had the prawn cocktail to start which was lovely. My Sister had the chicken madras curry, again her chicken was very dry & not at all tender. She said the curry had a nice taste to it but the chicken was tough to eat. So overall very disappointed with the food. However, it wouldn't put us off returning, we would just avoid the Chicken dishes! Lovely atmosphere & lovely feel overall. Its just nice sitting in the beer garden watching the world go by

Well called there last night, just before last orders for food, no problem order was taken. When served the food was first class home style cooking at a reasonable price. Service for food and drink was first class. DJ music outside and a good local atmosphere. Well done Zoe and Alum.

Great Atmosphere and Amazing Food

Absolutely love this pub. Only started popping in a few weeks ago and have been a number of times since. Once for Sunday lunch, which was sublime, and once for their home-made curry....stunning! Great ale selection and dog friendly too. Our new favourite pub.
