Blaengarw Hotel in Bridgend

Here for family meal for mother's day treat party of 7 adults 2 children we were very disappointed. Booked for 12pm thinking it would be fresh hot carvery. The place was freezing. The food was cold and the meat was tough it was inedible when the waitress asked we said it wasn't good and she just laughed and didn't care. Even the warm choc fudge cake was cold. Have had a nice meal before and a good price but this was awful and price put up because its mother's day. The toilet floor was dirty and slippery. WILL NOT RETURN OR RECOMMEND.

Sunday dinners are amazing! Always plenty of meat and unlimited veg and potatoes and gravy. Staff are always pleasant.

Most welcoming pub in a small community in south wales ex mining valley!! Amazing entertainment and food. Very welcoming landlady Raynor and landlord simon! Beautiful food prepared fresh by Heidi and her staff! Recommend it highly!!

I have visited the Blaengarw hotel on several occasions for both nights out and food. The staff are very friendly & welcoming. They have a great selection of beers , ciders , spirits, wines and soft drinks at good prices. The food served here is brilliant! Homemade chips which you do not find in many places! Great selection of meals on the menu to suit everyone. Sunday lunch Carvery is delicious and great value for money. I have attended for the theme nights also, the Mexican and Chinese all you can eat were fab! I have also had an afternoon tea buffet served with prosecco here which was amazing- 10/10 for both presentation & taste! Heidi is a fab chef and so attentive and friendly! Give this hidden gem a try you will not be disappointed!

You will not get a better welcome in any pub from Raynor and Simon and their staff. Set in the centre of Blaengarw, a village north of Bridgend. This pub is the centre of the valley. The valley itself is a hidden gem with some of the best walking and mountain biking in Glamorgan. Great selection of beverages, the pub being mentioned in the Camra handbook. Also a selection of local ciders to be sampled. Best Sunday dinner..... Ever. Bar meals Tuesday and Thursday and bank holidays. All cooked to order and delicious. Speciality evenings are sold out really early. Can't recommend enough

Great food on Sundays - Carvery! Great hosts and the regulars are really friendly and welcoming. You can play pool, darts and snooker. They also have a beer garden. Love it 😀

A real Pub, something you do not come across very often. Good selection of ales, coders and lagers...Will have to go a long way to find a real Pub like this...The pub also does good food that enhances all other aspects of a " Real good Pub".....

Decent pub with ample outside seating and dining room. Food available most days, occasional live music.
