The best restaurants serving British food in Bridgend South Wales

We went for a 21st birthday meal, what a beautiful place ! The meal was delicious, service was quick and the staff were lovely, we were looked after by Cerys who was very polite, helpful and a credit to the team! We had a window table overlooking the gorgeous countryside wirh amazing views! Would highly recommend and we would definately return !

Me and my partner came here for a Sunday roast, not realising they served carvery, which we were kindly surprised by. The prices were decent enough, as what you'd expect at a carvery on a Sunday. My only gripe was that we couldn't help ourselves to the roasties/new potatoes, just the other veg, but it's fine either way The food was lovely and tasty and we really enjoyed it. The service was amazing and very friendly. We will definitely come back here again in the future for another sunday roast and other meals

Lovely pub! Land ladies are really nice! Good atmosphere, they have live music and they run a cracking open mic night once a month!

Was informed that the Sunday dinner was amazing…. however, the food delivered can not possibly what is served in the pub. Frozen peas, carrots etc . Threw it away

Another lovely Friday lunch the gammon was perfect and the Katsu chicken topped chips were delicious. A huge thanks to the team and especially to Sian who always gives that extra touch, ensuring that your dining experience is perfect.

Online menu and Google says it's open till 11pm on a Saturday, however we tried to order a drink at 10.05 and were told they stopped serving at 10pm. Nobody in the premier Inn or the bar mentioned they were sitting even though we were there from 9.30

I had enjoyed celebrating lunch with friends here in the past so was quite confident recommending for a recent birthday. A lovely atmosphere, pleasant and efficient staff. The menu has something for every taste. Vegetarians and vegans well catered for. Any queries about certain ingredients are double checked with the kitchen. A good sign of attention to detail. I enjoyed the beetroot risotto and the chili, lasagne and salmon tagliatelle all looked good.

Have been to this restaurant quite a few times and have to say the food and service is exceptional! Special mention to Becky who honestly is absolutely amazing ! Nothing is too much trouble and she goes out of her way to ensure that everything is perfect. Will definitely be going back....Well done Becky and thank you for your help to always making us feel special ❤️

This was recommended to me by a friend a few months ago so we thought we’d try it. Most of the food was very nice and plenty of it. However some of the food was quite warm and was lots of fat on the meat. The staff were pleasant but the lady behind the bar was very loud and quite scary. So we’re disappointed.

Service in this place is very slow .we ordered two hot chocolates they tasted like dish water went to complain they did make me another but no difference awful won't return sad nice looking place.

I call in occasionally with family for a meal and I always find the food very hit and miss. This week it was good although last time not so. I actually asked if they had a different chef! The place itself is lovely with a lovely view over the golf course but you never know what standard of meal you’re going to have.
