From stepping into the red dragon our experience was top notch! It was clearly a busy lunchtime but everyone made us feel welcome and important to them! My friend and our two granddaughters aged 12 visited and we all had a lovely time! The food was served within a perfect time with friendly smiles and nice attention. The meals themselves were amazing! As a diabetic vegetarian I usually have the house salad with bbq cauliflower wings in marstons restaurants and I can honestly say the red dragons was by far the best I have had ! Well done everyone we will be back soon !

Booking was really easy online, There was 10 of us for my son's 21st birthday. When we got there the table was ready, staff very friendly and efficient. Food was absolutely stunning, good portions and came out hot. I will definitely be returning. Thank you all.

Asked for a round table for 6 away from children which we were given. Waiters were attentive but not intrusive. Food was well cooked, piping hot and presented well. We did feel towards the end of our visit that we had out stayed our welcome!

A group of 16 adults and 4 children just had food from the Sunday menu. The food was excellent. The service was first class. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was great. A good time had by all.

The best pub dinners in town. And always piping hot, Staff behind the bar and the girls bringing food to the table are amazing, Always checking you have everything you need. You can't get better value than the red dragon with those portions. Will be back

Staff lovely, only given an hour for the table and eat our food from when we sat down which was disappointing. Food ok but nothing special, what you would expect form pub meal. very busy and loud, wouldn't recommend young children in the evenings.

I'm a wheelchair user and I booked a table for myself and 2 friends, asking for accessible seating. I couldn't fault the service and helpfulness of all the staff. The food was lovely - boiling hot and really tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will definitely be returning in the near future.

Really good food and attentive staff members,lovely choice of meals and drinks and even better an 8pm quiz to join in with, we had a birthday cake for one of our family and such a wonderful moment for her when the lit cake was brought out...well done Red Dragon we will defiantly keep returning, a local pub atmosphere with top notch food and drinks, whats not to love 🙌

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Tables were cleared regularly even as they were busy. We ordered food and drink which was serve promptly and hot. The food was delicious and served with a smile. The only slight downside was my husband asked for no peas with his mixed grill but they were on the plate. We didn’t complain he smothered them in brown sauce and ate them lol.

Hade Sunday dinner veg was frozen not fresh dinner halfed cooked worse I have hade really disappointed never going for Sunday dinner again but staff amazing excellent service and fast

A lovely welcoming atmosphere, staff were friendly and very helpful. For a mid week the place was pretty busy, and there was a steady flow of customers. After placing our orders there wasn't a long wait from payment to table. They were very prompt. The meals served were hot and well presented, on hot plates. I didn't actually want anything from the menu, but was able to request something entirely different (all from the extras menu) we weren't made to feel hurried at all, even after our meal had finished, and the drinks flowed.

Called in today on the off chance for lunch, lovely atmosphere, all the staff very friendly, Gareth was really friendly when I ordered our meal, food was really nice and the sausage and mash was very filling, really enjoyed and will be returning

Omg never booking or going here ever again!!! After a bad experience last time thought we would give it a go a few years after!! No deffo never never again!! Got told when we arrived that they had sent an email to cancel our table! I have had my phone on me all day and not a sausage! What has ever happened to picking up the phone and talking to people! Ever since this place has been taken over it has gone to the dogs!! No thank you and happy for our business to go somewhere else!!

It was super busy with it being a Friday evening. The music was so loud, just didn't feel like the right atmosphere to be eating a family meal unlike other local brain restaurants. The food was standard pub food. Some of the chips were really nice, but some were undercooked and hard. Myself and partners Steak was dry, and although we asked for the medium, it was more well done, and the peas were overcooked. Children really enjoyed their burgers. The battered fish looked fabulous. Unfortunately, one of my sons was put off with the many bones he had, so it was wasted.

I haven't been to the Red Dragon for a while, and I realised the other day that that was my loss. I always enjoyed going there and I think the place has gotten even better, the service is great relaxed but professional. My granddaughter was treated like the queen with pens and something to draw on as we sat down. The food was lovely my veggie chilli was really nice and filling, the steak and ale pie chips and peas disappeared quickly across the table and the little one enjoyed her fish fingers chips and peas. A place I haven't been for a while but I will now be rectifying that mistake when I'm in Bridgend again.

Turned up tonight to realise i had booked for tomorrow night .luckily they were great and fitted us in for food . Food was lovely quick service and staff were polite and happy . Bar staff also great polite and happy so thank you to all the staff.

The battered fish was small and tasteless. Dessert was nice, jam sponge. Staff were friendly.

Booked a table of 13 for my husbands 30th birthday after being let down elsewhere and I was so thankful you guys could fit us in at a days notice. Arrived at the pub and it was busy and there was other tables around us that seemed irritated we were there and were such a large party which is how the staff would also treat us for the evening. When ordering food at the bar spending over £130 the chef was moaning loudly about such a large order infront of us which was awkward and inappropriate and just plain rude. The food was a mixture of good and bad. Some people enjoyed their meals others didn't, the hunters chicken had no BBQ sauce? and was bland and the chicken was hard. The children complained their chicken nuggets were also hard and dry and cold. The portions overall were very small. I had a stork from a vegetable in my curry about 2 inches long and I almost choked on it. When I brought this to the attention of the supervisor/manager (lady with dark hair in a bun) she offered me another meal, totally pointless as it took ages for anyone to come over, I removed the item obviously and ate my food because it was actually nice. She never apologised or offered to refund for that meal given that there was an object in it that shouldn't have been. She said thanks for that and walked away! I waited for ages for the mango chutney which should have been with the meal my husband asked twice if I could have it, when it arrived it was smaller than a teaspoon worth. The plates were all left on our table when deserts arrived rather annoying so we took them up to the bar ourselves. I asked the same women to confirm my desert was vegan as that desert comes vegan and non vegan she had no idea and said "if you ordered it vegan it should be vegan". I have allergies and just wanted to confirm. Having worked as a waitress before I would confirm that before bringing it out to the customer so I could reassure them! The staff seemed really busy and it was busy but there also seemed to be alot of them so not sure why the service was so slow. Overall I was really disappointed with the rude attitude of the chef and the lady with the brunette bun specifically. I understand working in hospitality is hard work and busy but there is no excuse for treating your customers badly and generally being rude, unhelpful and treated like an inconvenience. I did appreciate the two staff members bringing over my husband's cake and singing happy birthday. Shout out to the blonde staff member who was very friendly.

Service is an always good. Food always hot. Pub is clean and staff are attentive. Fairly priced. Plenty of parking. Sunday dinners are also great although we went for a pub meal this time

We had the festive three course meal, which was delicious. The service was excellent and the staff were attentive and courteous, couldn't ask for more. We often go to the Red Dragon for Sunday lunch and the food is always tasty, with plenty of it. Highly recommend a visit.

I booked the table for 15 people, I rang the pub and asked if it was possible to book for the whole day as we were intending to stay there, however before 5pm we were asked to move as the table had been booked for some other party. I was very disappointed and when I told the lady I had rang to reserve the table all day, she told me no I couldn't have its impossible making out im a liar. I was very upset with her and decided at 6ish to leave for another pub

Its the only pub I've been to in over the years locally that made us feel so relaxed and wasn't asked over and over if everything was fine with food it was the nicest Sunday lunch ive had in a long time apart from My own, staff were 100% friendly especially the main man Gareth fare play ur doing a cracking job keep at it guys

I had organised a get together for 23 people, early evening with a buffet. The whole experience was amazing, from liasing directly with the manager, to the staff, food and table layout. We will definitely come again, just perfect.

The food was lovely and all arrived within half hour of ordering and it was a fairly busy evening. The staff are always lovely and very helpful. Definitely recommend here plenty of choice and always cooked beautifully

Great service, good atmosphere, lovely food.

The whole experience was lovely. There was 11 of us all together so that's a lot of mouths to feed in one go, all our food came out within minutes of each other, all hot and there were no complaints on the table about any of the meals. They also do a blue light saving which was greatly appreciated as we were all NHS workers, the prices of food are good anyway but it's always nice to save a little. The staff were great and couldn't do anymore for us. Thank you for a lovely evening, We are looking forward to our next visit to the pub.

Lovely atmosphere and friendly wait staff. Food was delivered quickly and was lovely. Was seated promptly, and you order and pay at the bar. Was able to reserve online with no issues and was very quick. Clean and tidy. This is now our go to place to eat out. Was able to park my 8 seater van with no issues. Will definitely be back soon. My daughter Laura went to the pub today. She is disabled and in a large wheelchair reclining because she can’t sit upright. I spoke to her tonight and she told me that she had a fab time, and that Gareth was there, he sat with her and her carers for sometime chatting making her feel totally accepted. Often when my daughter and I (I am also disabled) go to pubs or restaurants, we don’t feel welcome because of the room that our chairs take up, but at this pub Laura has always been made to feel completely comfortable and genuinely wanted. The food has always been fabulous and the service (often by Gareth himself) was great. I want to say a personal Thankyou to Gareth and his staff for making disabled people feel accepted. I can’t wait to go there myself!!
