We didn't stay here,we were staying at other accommodation but we called in 3 times for food, drinks and breakfast on one of the mornings.Nice place, good food, great staff.Lovely views at the back of the hotel overlooking the valley.Nice seating areas.Plenty of parking which you do need to pay for,not expensive.Food and drink very well priced as you expect from a Weatherspoons. We found it clean and so we're the toilet facilities.Well worth popping in if your in the area.We would definitely go back.

We arrived at 6.00pm for a Sunday roast and the restaurant was very quiet so we decided to sit in the bar. It took a while to get someone to take the order and we informed the server that my wife was gluten free and that was not a problem. The roast dinner arrived and we looked at the roast potatoes which were well over cooked and tasted like they had been in the oven or under a hot lamp for far to long, the Yorkshire pudding was also dry and crusty. The dinner at best was Luke warm and my wife sent hers back to be heated up in a microwave. For the price of £17.95 it should of all been fresh and hot. We had been traveling most of the day so we were hungry and ate most of the dinner but we were very disappointed. The bar prices were also high £5.80 for a pint of cider. We have eaten here in the past and always found the food very good but will not be visiting again.

Visited this pub while on a solo break away with my dog a couple of weeks ago and it was a fantastic atmosphere, great service, lovely food and I have to give the highest praise to the lady (who I think was a manager or supervisor) (gutted I didn’t catch her name) but she was so friendly and welcoming, she made a fuss of my dog even giving her some doggie treats which went down (a treat) 😆would definitely recommend this place and will be sure to visit again next time I’m passing!!

Arrived and the place was quite empty, lovely old pub was told to take a seat anywhere, looked at the menu which had good choice, I asked for lasagne with chips, hubby had burger, son had chicken chilli baguette, and a serving of garlic bread with cheese. Waited a while which is to be expected the food was awful, portion size like a.childs meal, frozen and not fresh, not as described on the menu. Baguette was a ciabatta, my garlic bread had no cheese but the chips did which is not what we asked for, but the girl said the till got it wrong ..... Then we paid our bill and thought it was expensive, they gave us the wrong table bill, which we questioned then they said they couldn't give us the difference back and said they would refund it, I asked for a receipt as I knew the whole thing was going to be mistaken. They couldn't give me a receipt. The manager came and his attitude was disgraceful....he was rude and never ONCE did he apologise, he wanted us to be out of pocket and pay again and he would refund our card which could take 3 to 5 days....that's not acceptable at all when your on holiday. He argued with me and eventually he gave me the difference in cash as he knew I was not leaving paying 3 times what what our bill should of cost. Absolutely appalling management skills, no apology and it was as if it was OUR FAULT they overcharged us. I will never go back again and I would avoid overpriced frozen meals..not a lovely country pub as I expected

Great place that relies on tourism and local drinkers, statements like “social club” what do people want, it’s a good pint less than £5 it’s a massive plate of food for £12/13 it’s in a beautiful area, the staff are spot on, the owner is spot on, of course everything in life could do with a spruce up blah blah blah, this is real people a proper run family business paying local people’s wages, I think it’s brilliant and so close to do snowdon, I’ll be back with more of us 👏✅✅✅👏

Lovely independent coffee shop in the heart of Mold. Staff are friendly and welcoming to all. Ignore the false hate campaign against this great establishment by far-right racist Ian Davies (aka Shaggerada). Someone confronted him on his vile views and he is calling for a Boycott and accusing staff wrongfully of Islamophobia. I love popping here for a coffee with my dog, staff are always very friendly to all.

First and last time that I use this place. Over inflated price for two bottles of pop. Can only assume that the extra £1.60 charged , was for the sponsored silence that every customer before and after us was greeted with by the member of staff serving.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good the evening meal and breakfast was after reading poor reviews. There were 6 of us including two under 6s. One of our grandchildren celebrated his 4th birthday and the staff made a big fuss over him by presenting him with a cake and singing happy birthday. All 6 meals were of a good quality and breakfast had plenty of choice to please everyone. Well done the staff.

We have just had a 4 night stay in Abergele and we called into Jakes a couple of times for drinks and once for food. We found the staff very friendly and polite, the interior was very clean and well set out, although a little on the dark side due to windows only on 1 side. The drinks were reasonably priced for the area and the food was very tasty, well cooked and presented, daily deals are very reasonable priced and worth the money.

2nd time here in 3 months. Service is like julie waters in acorn antiques!! It's like the blind leading the blind. No organisation or communication. Someone actually walked out & left their order. They were so sick of waiting. Cake cam only be described as old & stale. Like eating cardboard!
