We are not from the area , i googled fish & chips,which found the chippy across the road. So we parked in your car park but so glad we changed and went in this pub the food was delicious and very friendly service. Next time we are in the area, we will dine again, highly recommend 👌

This place gives of local pub vibes. The food was very nice. I had the Greek burger and it was amazing! The decoration could do with an uplift as it's very dull.

Went here for food got no steak no gammon no ribs no rice head.man and female staff extremely rude left without eating and sarcastic remarks from staff not happy

Placed an order for food. After waiting over 30 minutes, asked where the food was. Was told" were you not told it's about an hour for food..." Which we weren't They then said it would be about 10 minutes. 15 minutes later we asked again what was happening as still no food. Was told it was being played up. 20 minutes later. Still no food. Told us they were going to chase as it was well over an hour. The staff made feel we were in the wrong for asking where your food was they were moody and quite rude with customers.Especially the young female server. When the food finally arrived. My burger was Luke warm, the brioche bun was crispy on top as though it had been sat under the keep warm tray for quite a while, chips were very greasy and cold. Wife's steak was so grisly that she could not eat it. And her chips were cold and greasy too . This has to be the worst Sizzling restaurant we have ever eaten at (we have eaten at a few around the UK)

the toy machines don’t work they take your money but give u no toy and don’t do anybring about it

Arrived at this venue on 21st March on arrival host wasn't welcoming ordered food it wasn't good wasn't asked if it was OK beer was dead overall poor experience previous time visited 10 years previous good experience place gone down hill won't be visiting again

FOOD: Starters: We had the shared platter for starters it was a bit dry and the chicken fries were overcooked but the rest was ok Main: We both had the Tandori skewer with chips (i doubled up on the chips and im glad i did as small portion) but the chicken was absolutely gorgeous, full of flavours and juicy. Veg was cooked nice. STAFF: 2 Female staff behind bar, both very chatty and welcoming, had a laugh and banter with us. HYGIENE: Glass had bit of mark on it but it wiped off, apart from that ok. Cutlery had watermarks but you get that anyway. All in all a nice afternoon meal whilst kids in school, I will definitely visit again. Definately recommend the Tandori Skewer!

Excellent food for a really good price. Very generous portions and flexible on modifying your chosen dish to suit. Ability to book online and order food at the table or the bar. Bar area for adults and restaurant area for those under 18. Recommend!

Honestly food was OK except 1 was quite greasy and sweet potato fries ordered but not received - chips not the best. Worst was waiting almost an hour for our food. Lovely staff xx better chips please xx

Went on Tuesday for tea with the family, the food was amazing I had the jerk chicken skewers and they were very tasteful Dave behind the bar was also fantastic helped us out when we needed and nothing was too much

We have recently moved to the area and wanted to try the closest restaurant to us. We were not disappointed! I had the smothered chicken and my husband had the all day breakfast. I asked for the chips to be swapped to sweet potato which was great. We liked the food and experience so much we have even ordered online and everything was just as great. The staff are so friendly, helpful and make you feel very welcome. Keep up the good work David & Kirsty

We had lasagne and a drink, it was awful, but made even worse by the attitude of the bar staff. To sum up it was so bad we or our friends will not go back.

We went there and we was waited an hour and a half we waited for we had 3 meal mine came first them 10 min later the other 2 came why did it not come toghther the chicken was burnt and they cover it on bbq sauce

Walked into the foyer met with a sign that said wait to be seated, so I wait and wait about ten minutes in the bar person shouts across to us find yourself somewhere. Anyway starters great, mains no complaints either but desserts very poor I had an after 8 Sunday which arrived as 1 scoop of mint ice cream and the rest made up of squirty cream with a slight bit of chocolate drizzle on top but no after 8s in site. I would return but avoid the desserts and just seat myself straight away

First 3 items ordered of menu not available so husband settled for ham and eggs myself just a bowl of dirty chips as i couldn't be bothered looking through menu a third time. Husbands meal was served 43 mins after order mine didn't arrive 🤬. So had to ask for refund. Was not impressed at all and we eat out a lot in pubs. First time at Fryth as just moved to area

We booked a table for dinner (tea) online and on arrival we were initially ignored by the host until my daughter got his attention, we were pointed towards a table that had our name on but wasn't informed whether we ordered at the bar, online or if it was table service so we helped ourselves to the menu which we all agreed seemed a little limited. Once we decided what to have we attempted to order online but it wasn't working so we headed to the bar, the man at the bar was polite and took our order and applied a £5 voucher that I had for being on their mailing list and we headed back to our table to await our food. My wife ordered the large plate gammon which was undercooked but probably just personal preference so let it slide. My daughter ordered Mac and cheese with bacon which was quite small for the price and my son had scampi chips and peas which he said was ok. I ordered the large plate chicken tikka which came with poppadoms and onion bhajis however the bhajis were cold and uncooked and went to sloppy mush when I removed them from my plate, we spoke to a waitress who offered to replace them but I was put off so I decided to carry on and eat the rest. The curry itself wasn't piping hot although the rice was nice, I also had a side of chips which were overcooked. For dessert the kids each had a sundae, I had brownie and my wife had waffle, all were fine apart from one of the sundaes which had a piece of plastic approximately 3 inches long and curved in it which my son had scooped into his mouth and nearly choked on it, my wife immediately went to the bar to complain and initially spoke to our original barman who then passed it to another employee and we was informed it was part of the ice cream tub, she apologised and asked if he was ok and that was that. During our visit we weren't the only table with issues, the table behind were missing part of their order, the table to our left had to send his chicken back as it wasn't cooked and a table in the corner still hadn't received their starters after we'd finished 2 courses, I also had to inform a man that a waiter had dropped a steak knife behind his foot that he would have stood on if he left his seat, dropped by the guy who initially ignored us, who was rude to others and rushed about like an headless chicken. We came here 3 times during a visit to Rhyl during Covid and that experience was so much better than today's and the 2 stars we're giving it is very generous.

Had dinner there ,it was awful, won't not go again .hubby had steak which was all grisle I had dry over and cooked chips .the chichen burger was burnt. .no never again

We ordered food had to wait over an hour for it to arrive when it did I ordered the boneless chicken for 2 for £7.99 while my boyfriend got the mega mixed grill he asked for it to be cooked medium to well done. The steak was served rare to medium he sent it back to the kitchen to be cooked the way he ordered it medium to well done. My boneless for 2 was 6x small chicken bites & I was not given the 2 sauces that should of come with it last night was a joke whoever is cooking in the kitchen needs retraining or hire a chef that actually reads the orders not just sends out food not cooked how it was ordered or sends out food with things missing from it we won't be returning until that pub has a real chef

The place has gone downhill! No steak no gammon noticed grill and no chicken jerk. Very slow and not cooked brilliantly. Chips and onion rings undercooked. Slow service at the bar.

Have to give the service a 2 the manager and the young girl and lad who were on were great, DAN however was swearing in front of customers and questioning me when food was missing off the plate. Very poor from him. Brought this to the managers attention who was very apoplectic.

Just popped in as we are waiting to get into our holiday let, and the welcome from the staff and locals was excellent, lovely and clean. Also welcomed my dog with a drink. Will be using it while i am here.

The place is dirty with cobwebs at the windows we have been 8 times In 2 years the food is cold the staff are ignorant and not very polite

We had read a few reviews and some not so good, our experience was fantastic, bar staff friendly, food came within 30 minutes, which is what we expected, food was hot and delicious, very reasonably priced, and you can also use your bluelight card for discount off your food. We will be definitely returning when we visit Ffrith Beach campsite again

Food was gorgeous! Busy when we arrived but they found us a seat. Staff are friendly despite a couple finding everything wrong with the place the staff handled it very well. Definitely recommend going.

Booked a table online for 6pm on Monday travelled 45mins to be told when got there that the kitchen is closed. I understand things happen but a phone call would have curtious to say kitchen was closed

Got there 5 mins before my booking to be told they have to shut the kitchen went to one of there other places told nothing for around 2 hours ended up with a Chinese which was also rubbish

The Ffrith is back like it was a few years ago, good food / Staff, if the it’s a new manager keep them there doing a great job.that was then go in now can’t get a table if you don’t book went the other day sorry we’re fully booked the place was empty!! They can’t cope come on M & B not good this is now

Understaffed, with a long wait to be seated (even after booking) due to queue at the bar, with 1 person serving the whole room at Sunday lunchtime, and food was quite average.

Not great. But not terrible. All the food is served on sizzling skillets, witch is fine but they need to be cleaned better. All the food on the skillet tasted the same and was over cooked., But it was still ok.

Short staffed and limited menu. No walk ins on16th August I would say lost at least £800 that evening. Spoke to local taxi driver he said it has bad reputation. If I was the owner of sizzling pubs I would possibly close this one down.

We have been here a few times and always been ok. This time, the food wasn't the best, especially the kids meals. We ordered a big kids pizza which was just a small Chicago town style pizza that was so overcooked that my child couldn't eat the edges as they were too hard. The big kids build your own chicken wrap came as half a small chicken breast with a full size wrap. The chicken didn't even fill a quarter of the wrap. There was more salad than main meal on both. The chips on all of our meals were overcooked and tasteless. My chicken burger was lovely though and my husband's pork belly and ribs were nice he said. The puddings were also good. The staff were friendly and we were told beforehand that there was a wait for the food as a big table had just come in before us which was fair enough. We aren't ones to complain as we waited a while already and we're hungry, as we're the kids, so didn't want to wait any longer for chips that would probably come back out the same. And the kids meals were what the menu said, I just expected a bit more than half a chicken breast and a tiny pizza for bigger appetites portions.

Just returned home from a meal at The Ffrith. Thursday 3rd Aug 2023. While the bar staff were friendly and helpful my meal was dreadful. It wasn’t cooked as requested and the steak was like being served rubber. Try as best I could to swallow the meat I had to leave my steak complete, except for being cut up into bite size pieces. This was the worst steak I have ever being served. I brought my complaint to the staff member who served me and while she apologised and offered a free sweet, I declined. While the bar staff were very friendly this couldn’t ease my disappointment at a wasted meal and being out of pocket. Hoping this review will be acknowledged and the necessary remedial action taken Regards

The waiting time was terribly on booking we had to give an arrive and leave time we arrived at 5.40 for 5.45 booking no issues we ordered food there were 4 at our table 3 adults one child. It was 7.15 before great grandsons food arrived then by the time ours arrived he was finished, we would of all liked to be served at sane time and over an hour waiting for food was unacceptable

A few issues with our food order which the manager didn't deal with very well. I'll make a full report to head office, but other Sizzling pubs I've been to seem much better organized.

Waited 35 mins to get food although people who come in after wad served there food after, spite us ordering long before, food was vile and cold when served, staff where rude and allow people to sit in eating area with a huge dog!! Barking slavering all over! Travel all over and this sizzler in Wales in the worst ever in thr full United Kingdom!! Avoid if ya want a hot meal served in a timely manner!!

Got there told couldnt sit down then lad shouts us over . Food arrives and had to ask for sauce to go with steaks as it was missing . Deserts I said no sauce but ignored. The atmosphere was fine until a group of loud mouths came in and sat next to us . Constantly swearing very loud. Manager must have known them so totally ignored it all. Totally disgusted in being treated this way . Will never go in for food agsin.

The staff were friendly, the drinks were good and reasonably priced, one of our meals was very nice (chicken fajitas) and one was really not very good (belly pork and cold yet over cooked chips?!). We have a dog and so had to sit in the bar area which would have been fine except for a large group of lads who were swearing constantly and really loudly (and it was only early evening). That ruined the experience unfortunately so we ate very quickly and left.

Staff were lazy slobs. They pointed at the table we were to sit at. We then had to ask someone to wipe the table. The girl who did it just moaned about how busy they were, even though the place was only half full and they still had time for their phones. When we attempted to order most things were missing off the menu. We left without eating.

My steak was about 70% fat/gristle. I told the server and she disappeared out to the back and I didn't see her again.

We've-(me & GF) have been here quite a few times over the last few years, and it's well worth heading/searching for, as the food is always very good, and well priced. I would say though, from observations & sadly my own experience once, don't just turn up here on a Friday or Saturday without pre-booking, as the place is very popular during peak evening times. I'd also recommended booking through the app/website, as on my most recent trip, I phoned in my booking, and when I arrived they had nothing down for me, and I was then very lucky to get a table, I was told that the tablets that staff use for booking tables are sometimes difficult to use,...anyway something went wrong on this occasion. Well worth it overall though. Highly recommended.

We took residents from our care home here for a meal, the staff were really helpful and friendly. The food was great and the prices were amazingly cheap. Particularly for a sea-side resort where most people hike the prices right up. Good sized portions and food was tasty. Will definitely go again!! If you have a family this is great value for money and there is plenty of choice in the menu. Tasted home cooked too!!

Was kept waiting to be seated, bar staff kept looking at us, but said nothing, eventually told we could sit anywhere, went to order and was told the grill was broken! They could have told us this before we sat down! Will not be returning here.
