We arrived at 6.00pm for a Sunday roast and the restaurant was very quiet so we decided to sit in the bar. It took a while to get someone to take the order and we informed the server that my wife was gluten free and that was not a problem. The roast dinner arrived and we looked at the roast potatoes which were well over cooked and tasted like they had been in the oven or under a hot lamp for far to long, the Yorkshire pudding was also dry and crusty. The dinner at best was Luke warm and my wife sent hers back to be heated up in a microwave. For the price of £17.95 it should of all been fresh and hot. We had been traveling most of the day so we were hungry and ate most of the dinner but we were very disappointed. The bar prices were also high £5.80 for a pint of cider. We have eaten here in the past and always found the food very good but will not be visiting again.

The service was excellent along with fantastic food and drink. Josh our server was very attentive throughout. He made sure the kids were happy and even cleaned our bowls which had the baby food in which was nice as we didn’t have to take home the dirty bowls. The food was really tasty and well presented. We had the picnic lunch and the pie. Josh deserves recognition as I could see he was giving excellent service to all of the tables. Will be back soon after not coming for some time.

What a find - parked up and headed for the entrance - when you get inside we where greeted by Josh who is super calm and knowledgable showed us to the table - i can’t believe I drive past all the time and never popped in - anyway Josh is a breath of fresh air - multi tasking and entertaining - what a place - can’t wait to come back - great work. My son says - love it here great great place.

Arrived mid afternoon (3.30). No one else in restaurant. Ignored at first. Then given menus. Ignored as a pre booked child’s birthday party group arrived. Ordered 2 simple mains and two drinks. Another long wait. Of 2 meals one was good, the other dreadful. Wholes thing took an hour and quarter. Couldn’t wait to pay and escape

This hotel is great value for money for a stay in Llandudno. It is well located with its own car park and is easy to get to the centre of town as well as out in to the mountains. The hotel is well run with very servisory staff who cannot do enough for you. The rooms are well proportioned with modern decor. The bar has a friendly atmosphere and the restaurant has a fabulous dining area for guests to enjoy the Gwesty’s culinary delights. There is also a super outdoor seating area to enjoy a drink whilst viewing the scenery.

The attitude of one of the particular bar staff is disgusting. We only go there out of tradition but twice now this particular person has been rude so I personally will not be visiting again. Its not like its worth it anyway. The Guinness is awful and way overpriced.

Came last night for dinner I had fish & chips my wife had liver, it was a little over cooked for her but straight away it was replaced within minutes and was amazing, thanks to the chef who replaced it, definitely have it again.

A perfect place to eat, the food was delicious, staff are fantastic, the whole place is spotless and comfy. We are returning in December and have recommended it to lots of family and friends

Went for a couple of drinks with friends. The place was quite busy for 'early doors' but the barstaff were friendly, quick and efficient. The JW Lees Cask Bitter was one of the best I have tasted in a very long time. Although we did'nt eat , the plates of food being carried from the kitchen looked well presented and very tempting.

Was here after work, the place was really busy especially in the bar area, looked like darts were being played. Had the calfs liver, which was to die for. My husband had the cheese & onion pie, mash, beans & cheese & chive sauce. Because it was Tuesday it was a pie & a pint well worth the money. Lovely candle tea lights on the table. The staff were extremely friendly was a young girl there Milly I think who worked really hard & was such a lovely worker, well worth the visit we will be back.

Great food, really enjoyed the pie of the day. Super flavourful and arrived promptly. Great portion sizes for the price of getting 2 courses, it’s a bargain. I highly recommend the cosy lunch menu, the atmosphere is also super relaxed with candlelit tables in the evening to just enhance the nice cosy vibe of the restaurant during the dark cold evenings in north wales. Our server was called Gaz, very friendly and efficient always ensuring we had everything we needed. Even managed to get me onto ordering a dessert to upgrade to the 3 courses! Great experience, amazing food and I will definitely be back.

Called in today for lunch with my wife on our day out shopping in Llandudno. Our last visit was a memory of excellent and good value food, alas this was not what we received today. The waiter/ waitress were very pleasant and very helpful during our visit but sorry to say the food didn’t hit the mark. My wife had the ‘famous’ triple cheese and onion pie, she commented that it was like a bought in flan case with a very eggy/cheese filling with a completely different pastry top. I had the calves liver and when it was served couldn’t believe the portion size. I received four tiny morsels of liver, a piece of bacon,about twelve chips, three small pieces of tenderstem broccoli, three strips of cabbage and a dribble of gravy!. My roast onion had been forgotten about and after reminding the waitress was served at the end of my meal. I commented on the portion size and the waitress checked with the kitchen and reported back that was the size of the meal, the pieces of liver were not as big as a chicken nugget!. I commented to the waitress that the portion size was disgraceful and an absolute rip off, she commented’ I know, I agree’. The whole meal for two cost £42.50 and judging by your portions nearly all profit. Liver is possibly the cheapest form of meat you can buy!. One to give a miss from

Popped in just the other day with 3 good mates as we were recommended by a family member as soon as we entered the doors greeted by a lovely young lady with very short hair (never got her name) but she really looked after us all evening and provided us with excellent service! The food was 10/10 and the cosy atmosphere was enjoyed. We will be back😀

Very slow service. Told there was a half-hour wait so fair enough we agreed to that. We didn’t agree to 45 min wait ! The main meal was nice enough but small portion for the price. Then waited about same time for the desert, which was completely tasteless. Mentioned to the server she said I will pass on to the chef , I doubt that will make much difference as think it had been in the freezer far too long!! . Don’t think we will be going back anytime soon. Such a shame as used to be a really nice place to eat

While we were visiting in Llandudno we wanted somewhere to eat & this met our requirements. There is a good size car park that you enter just before the property. We had booked a table in the restaurant & we were the only ones there which was ok, our drinks order was taken, there is an extensive menu to choose from. There is full waitress service which is good I was going for gammon however they had sold out so went for the 3 cheese pie Lancaster, cheddar & Red Leicester I believe. The food took a while to arrive but you have to wait for good food. The food was well presented with 2 large slices of pie. The other meals also look ample in size, the food was very good but a little on the large size. If you are in the area it is well worth looking up this establishment for a meal.

10 of us went forva retirement meal. Every dish was superb. Not one complaint from anyone in our group. Highly recommend. Lovely attentive staff. I will definitely visit again very soon. If you cam keep this up Gwesty Links you will soon be the best place to visit. Thank you.

An amazing visit on our way out of llandudno and called in as passing. Didn’t know what to expect, to be honest the outside isn’t that inviting but once inside was very good. Friendly welcome and good efficient service. I had pie of the day and my wife had the fish, both off the light bites lunch menu and both delicious. Good value for money. Clean spacious dining area, toilets immaculate. Will definitely return next time visiting llandudno.

Visited on the off chance and were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. All the signs were good with a lot of attention being paid to Covid cleanliness. Service was prompt and polite. We both ordered the house meat pie, chips, peas and gravy. This meal was so bad! The meat pie was literally dry around the sliced edges as though they had been warmed in an oven for hours. The peas were dry and lukewarm. The chips looked and tasted powdery and I assume they were very low quality oven chips. The gravy was absolutely disgusting with more lumps than liquid. Had we not been tired and hungry it would all have been sent straight back! It was a wasted £32 although that did include a pint of cold and half a lager which were both fine. I certainly will never return and advise others not to bother.

Stopped by on the off chance we could get a table though wish we hadn't bothered. Service staff were rude, disorganised and food took an age to arrive. When the food did arrive it looked and tasted like it had been sitting on the pass for a week. Don't waste your money.

We came here a few days later after passing going to Llandudno and thought we would book for dinner. There were 3 adults and 1 child. Ordered the ham and chips for the little one which wasn't bad. 2 of us ordered the Thai curry which was very watery and lacking very much in flavour and 1 had the haddock risotto which was disgusting and also lacking in flavour. If visited Llandudno again I wouldn't be visiting the restaurant again and would rather go somewhere else. The only think good about the experience was the rose wine.

Having not visited Llandudno for well over 40 years I chose to meet up with old friends at the Links. From the doorman who politely took me through the signing in procedures to paying the bill was an absolute delight. The staff were excellent, the service first class so I decided to return on the sunday for a drink and a bite to eat with a friend. Again the service was first class and the food wonderful ( Hats off to the chefs) I have eaten in some of the top restaurants in europe but I must say my visits to the Links are on par with anywhere I have been in the world. In a few words The staff made for a visit I will not forget. Huge thanks for everyone from the doorman to the cleaners for making it a memory I will treasure..Oh Btw I did have one query ..I thought I had been undercharged and when I asked a member of the staff my bill was checked and it was right. We were staying in the hotel for two nights and was advised by the staff member checking us in that we could visit the restaurant before 9pm. I asked if we needed to reserve a table and they said we wouldn’t need to, as we had considered trying to find something to eat further out. The staff were all wearing masks and social distancing measures were in place, with hand sanitiser available at the main door of the restaurant. We came to the restaurant at 8:20pm, was quickly seated and offered menus. There was a variety of options, including vg/gf. My partner had a burger (with brisket, two patties etc) and chips; I had the battered banana blossom and chips, with garden peas. It arrived quite quickly, was hot and I particularly enjoyed mine, my partner said their meal was tasty. The staff were particularly busy as there was a large party of people on the patio outside, but we didn’t feel like we were waiting a long time for anything. The staff were polite and friendly, the prices were reasonable and we felt comfortable in the surroundings. There were steps from the car park to the main door of the restaurant, there is access with a ramp at the side of the building to the bar but this is the exit door to accommodate the one way system so if you need alternative access, maybe ring ahead for advice. Also the restaurant is child friendly but I personally didn’t see any high chairs or any bottle/baby food warming facilities so perhaps ring ahead if this applies to you.

We have been to the Links a few times for lunch,& always the food & service have been fine .We had family staying so decided to book a meal for dinner for the Bank holiday weekend .What a mistake that was ,bad service,rude staff & very poor food,I don't know if they have changed their chef & staff but was very disappointed & doubt that we will ever visit again .

First visit here for us as a family with two young children, gave our order at 6pm our meal never arrived until after 7pm!! Not acceptable! Order was submitted wrong by staff , staff not helpful and showed no concern. Spoilt a nice meal out. Food was nice just a shame about the table service. Challenged the bill due to service and was able to get a discount, would have paid the full price if it wasn't for the delay in getting our meals.

Went for a family meal. Booked 6 weeks in advance. Was expensive for what it was and only one choice of beer on offer no pale ales or any light coloured beer apart from lager. Could be great as building lovely and big car park and plenty outside space but don’t bother save your money

My partner booked here for the early Bank Holiday in May and I was very sceptical with it being a pub.What I got was a great place that was immaculately cleaned, had great covid safety in place and every single member of the staff were friendly and helpful.The food we ordered was great and the staff were very attentive.Andy & Shirley the landlords are passionate about the service they offer. In fact they pride themselves.I couldn't have been proven more wrong about staying here and as a result we are booking back in!

Amazing hotel and restaurant. The rooms and restaurant/bar are spotlessly clean so well done to housekeeping. I booked a table at lunchtime and was hoping to have an enjoyable meal for my dad's 78th birthday.When I booked I stated that we would like to try the lunchtime set menu; however on arrival we were told that the menu was limited. By that I mean they only had 2 out of the 14 dishes! The waitress was rude and not coherent when confronted why I wasn't notified before and she was pressuring us into ordering drinks before we even looked at what meals they actually had.The other meals were quite pricey, also limited choice and they weren't prepared to honour the lunchtime menu price. On leaving the restaurant I spoke to the manager who was just as unprofessional, unfriendly and unsympathetic as the waitress. All in all the birthday meal was spoilt, the children were hungry and am saddened at the manager's response. I later e - mailed the manager wanting to take this further requesting a telephone number of his manager and still have had no reply!

New towels and more tea and coffee every day. Bed sheets unchanged although this was told before stay due to the covid guidelines and regulations a which we clearly understood and appreciated. Track and trace in place in addition to hand sanitizers.

Thank you Links staff. The food was great. We were well impressed with the safety procedures in place, and we felt really confident to eat in your restaurant.My husband thought the gammon was the best he had eaten anywhere. Sometimes in other restaurants the gammon comes very dry and leathery!The staff were very efficient, and are obviously finding their feet with the new constraints.

Well, where do I start..... Food was good. Our waitress was Emma and she excelled at her job. Emma was the smiliest, most helpful member of staff I have ever come across. Such a good sense of humour and is a real credit to the team! We will definitely be going back and hope that Emma will once again serve us!

Visited this place a couple of times whilst on holiday. The food and the staff are lovely but the portions on some meals, like the pies are very small. For the price they charge would have expected a little bit more. We left with a few hungry diners.

Great staff, very welcoming. Food delicious. We had lunch here and a couple of drinks. We sat outside and it was lovely and sunny. The food was gorgeous and the service from Emma our waitress was amazing, a real asset to the pub.
