I visit this cafe regularly with friends. The coffee is always hot and tasty. The staff are always very polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend this cafe for coffee and food. Ifan Hughes

I ordered the food at 2 o clock in the afternoon. We went as a family. After half hour the food was not delivered at all and I went back to the counter and the girls over the counter are extremely bad and didn’t give proper response treated like a unwanted customer no respect at all. All the other tables served and they all came after us. After an hour I went back to them and checked with them as my son was really really hungry and started crying. They didn’t start preparing our order even after one hour. That clearly shows they don’t want to serve an Indian family. I cancelled the order. Very worst.

Wanted to try this place for a while so sorry to be coming away disappointed. Alarm bells should have rung when the girl behind the counter spotted me and said “just a minute” instead of I’ll be with you in a minute” - it makes all the difference. The young girl behind the counter didn’t know what the soup of the day was, nor what could be offered gluten free. We had just received our drinks when she brought over a second tray of lattes and cakes, destined for the next table - one hand clearly didn’t know what the other one was doing. My latte came and it was very nice except that it wasn’t hot enough. When I informed her she told me that the coffee machine wasn’t working properly! Good to know! My panini was delivered on a dirty plate (dried egg in the corner) and my son-in-laws soup had a hair in it. Needles to say, it put us off somewhat. Otherwise, the food was “OK”, nothing special, but we might have enjoyed it more without the niggles.

We visited this lovely cafe today. Only had drinks (excellent coffee) but everything coming out of the kitchen looked wonderful so we’ll definitely be back. Gorgeous location and lovely friendly staff. Unfortunately we witnessed them having to deal with a deeply unpleasant family who appeared to have completely missed the National restrictions resulting from the COVID pandemic and were horribly rude when the staff (very politely) explained them. Their loud verbal abuse - in front of a lot of other customers - was completely unacceptable and there was a general sigh of relief when they left. The staff, though understandably upset, handled the whole situation with utmost professionalism. Lovely cafe, lovely setting and lovely staff. We will definitely come again.

Really going down hill, service is abysmal, waiters sullen, no customer skills, hit and miss table arrangement, long winded service at the bar, food ranges from undercooked to burnt, breakfast, if they don't give it to the wrong table can take anything upto 30 to 40 minutes, tables sticky and slow to be cleared.

We arrived at 6.00pm for a Sunday roast and the restaurant was very quiet so we decided to sit in the bar. It took a while to get someone to take the order and we informed the server that my wife was gluten free and that was not a problem. The roast dinner arrived and we looked at the roast potatoes which were well over cooked and tasted like they had been in the oven or under a hot lamp for far to long, the Yorkshire pudding was also dry and crusty. The dinner at best was Luke warm and my wife sent hers back to be heated up in a microwave. For the price of £17.95 it should of all been fresh and hot. We had been traveling most of the day so we were hungry and ate most of the dinner but we were very disappointed. The bar prices were also high £5.80 for a pint of cider. We have eaten here in the past and always found the food very good but will not be visiting again.
