Was leaving when a male singer called Euan Butterworth took to the stage knew him at YJB school Llandudno when he was a student there. He's a blood sweat and tears performer with a lovely nature great voice and your entertainment is key. Cayley Arms will entertain you CBugs ukelele band and other entertainment awaits you. Happy Faces is a local charity sometimes supported by entertainers. Food available check website or Facebook for details and serving times. Best vegi lasagna, friendly staff. Dog friendly. A good view.

Friendly staff. We had the gammon and the seafood linguine on Monday. The meals were so good we had the same on Thursday. Absolutely loved the dishes, generous portions and perfectly cooked and well presented. The chips are amazing. No doubt we'll be back.

Visited on the 16th April 2024 for my birthday Sat in the window watching the world go by .Lovely room with seats set well apart .Staff were great and very friendly .I had the steak&ale pie with mash &mushy peas .It was lovely and a reasonable price too .Came back saturday with my husband and had their offer of cheese burger &fries and a drink for only £10 IT was fine .Now the weather is getting better I can see us visiting this delightfull pub more often .Well done to the whole staff.

called in on our way home after a weekend in Llandudno, dogs allowed inside which was great as it was chilly outside we both had the beef sunday roast and it was delicious the yorkshire puds were huge and tasty the roast potatoes were spot on and the gravy and carrot and swede mash was so tasty we ate the lot and the dogs got the pigs in blankets , the waitress who served us was lovely and chatty we had a good laugh with her about us being BWFC fans and her Man Utd , thank you for making our lunch a lovely experience we have been in the pub before a year or so ago but never eaten so glad we did today , A very busy pub with lots in eating so obviously they are doing it right , we definitely recommend and will be back

Really lovely staff. Bent over backwards to make a veggie burger for our daughter and then accommodated our son with a burger of his own so he didn't feel left out. And all done with a smile! Really amazing experience - thanks to the team!

We popped in to ask a question about food as one of the party had gluten and dairy allergies. The staff, who went and prepared special batter, couldn't have been more helpful, or attentive, and I could not speak highly enough of them. Thanks guys.

My family of 5 and a baby visited and the food took over an hour to come and the pub was not that busy. It took that long we had to go and move the cars. No bacon for 2 of the orders, chicken was dry and rubbery for 3 of the orders. We visited as read such positive reviews recently but will not be returning. Also toilets could do with a clean.

Really bad service. Came in for two lots of fish and chips. We were told it would be 30 mins before we could order. After a 40 min wait we managed to place our order, only to be told a few minutes later they had run out of fish and chips. No care or thought for us at all

We just wanted a pub meal. The pub is on the sea front with a nice view. It was clean and friendly. We had Cayley Chicken and Lasagne. There were loads of it and both enjoyable. It was the start of a new menu. I would recommend the food. It's cheaper than some other places. The food finishes at 6 pm during the week, which is a shame. It's well worth a visit.

Came here for a pint this afternoon and decided to get some food. I love a good home made lasagne so selected that from the menu. The lasagne came piping hot in a dish sat on a plate of mixed leaf salad and finely diced cucumber and onion with some salad dressing over the top. Also on the plate was a ciabatta roll horizontally halved and made into garlic bread and it had a lovely kick to it. The lasagne was very meaty, flavoursome and cheesy. Everything i want in a lasagne. The staff were very pleasant, served with sparkly eyes and a pretty smile. Definitely recommend and will definitely be eating here again.

Ordered the cheese and onion pie. Very small strange shaped pie served with chips and peas. I cut into the pie. A lot of mush surrounding a frozen lump of what appeared to be chicken inside. Pointed this out to the server who apologised and offered to get it heated. I declined, refused the food and asked for a refund which I was given. Lovely girls running the bar with good customer service but awful meal. Very disappointed and spoiled my evening out. Won't be visiting again.

£8.95 for a 200ml of prosecco? No wonder it was empty. I know it's tough keeping up with the ridiculous costs of running a pub but really! Won't be back, unless I win the lottery.

We had a very lovely meal at this place. It was a quiet January Monday It was definitely quiet in the pub but what a lovely warm friendly welcome we received and definitely home cooked food. Home made cheese and onion pie with real home cooked chips - absolutely delicious. We will be back for sure

4.30pm on a bitterly cold Monday in January. We were looking for food, but really didn’t think it would be easy finding somewhere at that time of day. We had walked to Llandudno and the bus back dropped us right outside this pub. It was warm and welcoming inside (including the dog). We had a really lovely meal - 2 of us had scampi and chips, one had sausage and chips and the other pie and chips. All the food was very good, and the hand cut chips were amazing! Thank you!

Was stranded with car broken down and needed toilet. Sea front toilets shut and asked inside the Cayley Arms. The gentleman was so helpful. It was lovely and clean and a very inviting place. Would have stayed for a meal but had to get back to car as RAC on way to us. Thank you so much !

Good location with bus stop outside right on the sea front. Decent amount of beers on tap and plenty of seating.

Just had a really nice meal here with my husband. Great service too. Highly recommend the pie of the day, i had steak and ale and the meat and pastry were excellent quality.

Great pub showing live football, has a good pool table and darts board. Great choice of beers! Worth the trip for a visit

Food was awful tuna looked like cat food was unediable. Mac n cheese on a burger vile salad cream was off and lumpy was definitely not worth the money will not venture there again need to sort the chef out also I saw inside the kitchen briefly and food was scattered on the floor very unhygienic

Been here a few times now for nibbles and today had a lovely steak and ale pie and friend had the chicken and ham pie we cut the pie in half and and shared it pie was home made and was delicious and hot home cooked chips peas and gravy was lovely to 👍👍👍

Chilli had a taste of cigarettes in it and smelled of cigarettes it was absolutely disgusting i don’t know whether someone was cooking it and dropped a cigarette in it or the dish used to be used as an ash tray but we made all of my family try it and they all said the same absolutely disgusting

Just been for Sunday lunch and it was terrible. We did wonder why a table had just left without touching their dinner, and now we know. Roast potatoes was not even roasted. Veg was watery and cook from a frozen bag. Gravy was like dish water. We ordered the extra cauliflower cheese to the tune of £3.95 each and four lots. It was literally a couple of bits of cauliflower with a tiny amount of tasteless cheese on top bunged under a grill. Not in a sauce dry and tasteless. Only three of our so called cauliflowers came out, when questioned the waitress she said oh you have to share the three, even though we paid 16 pound extra for it. Sorry Cayley the food was awful.

Had a good experience here and I would return next time I’m in this area. We were a family of 5 looking for somewhere to sit down and eat in after a day spent on the beach. The dining area is clean and modern. The staff were friendly and polite. The food was presented nicely. The food was delicious, home cooked and fresh. Everything wax hot on arrival but not ridiculous that your mouth burned off everything was just right. We had drinks that didn’t cost much compared to other places. I had Sauvignon Blanc and that is usually expensive in other pubs/restaurants but I paid only £5 for a large glass. It might not be an expensive brand of wine to be fair but that doesn’t stop other places from capitalising on the wines even so. We all enjoyed our meal and overall experience. We actually enjoyed the food more than a more expensive restaurant the night before although to be fair the other place was better aesthetically in every way but that not to put this place down at all because it’s lovely considering it’s a pub on a seafront. The customer service was better there than the more expensive restaurant though so I would recommend this place to anyone staying in the Rhos on Sea area.

Pleasantly surprised actually and I’m glad we took a chance in this place. I would definitely be returning here next time we come to Rhos on sea. After a day on the beach and knowing we’d be heading back home to the GM region we just wanted somewhere to sit inside and have a decent meal to put us on our way. We went to a place up the road initially that had previously told me that day they serve till 8pm but was actually 6:30. As we knew we would be going home we just wanted to spend as long as we could on the beach as we had to get back home for work commitments so didn’t head out for dinner till gone 6pm. This was the first hot sunny day we had seen in weeks though so we was making the most of it come what may. I had looked here earlier when having a mooch around the shops with my daughter but turned my nose up at it a bit tbh as I assumed it’s just a sports bar with pub food that wouldn’t have much choice or good quality and wanted something a bit better for my family. Yet when we was let down by the other place because they were a bit rude due to being very busy and only having 5 minutes left in which to order our food anyway we decided to leave that place but the last thing we wanted was to be driving around eith 3 hungry tired children looking for a place to eat. We called in at the pizza place, which is lovely but was fully booked and the other place across the road stopped serving food at 6:30. What is it with these places only serving food till 6:30 these days? It’s weird! Anyway, we called in to here doubtful they’d still be serving anyway but luckily they was. We was so happy to find a place still serving that we was willing to compromise on the overall experience but how wrong was I? There is actually a nice dining area to the back. Very clean and modern. Yes it is pub grub but the t was very delicious and home made.. The food quality was way better than I had ever expected. The drinks are lovely and a very good price considering it’s on the seafront. It’s little things for me that impress like the cutlery being pristine clean wrapped in a napkin and the presentation of the food which was really nice. The lady serving us was exceptional. Her manners were excellent. Very good customer service skills. Very polite. The food took only about 25 minutes to half an hour to arrive after ordering at the bar but it was well worth waiting for. I had lasagne, it was delicious and the ciabatta garlic bread was yummy too. The salad was delicious and fresh too. Everyone in my family really enjoyed our experience and the food here to the point that we all said we preferred it over the restaurant we’d paid nearly 3 times as much for the previous night at a restaurant out in the sticks. At the end of the day, I really appreciate good honest simple food that doesn’t try to be clever or arty farty with all kinds of flavours that don’t necessarily go, it’s just so nice to have a decent, well cooked, delicious homemade meal with expected flavours in the kinds of meals you actually want to eat with your family. The whole experience was 5*. I will definitely recommend this place to others and definitely will be returning.

Great food, great service. Decent honest pub with a good menu, 8 of us ate here including kids and a vegetarian. Couldn't be friendlier, couldn't have done more for us. Recommend!

It was very quiet when we went as there was a storm blowing in, and it is right on the sea front, but it is a nice place with friendly staff.

We walked into this place twice and both times we were ignored by staff in an nearly empty restaurant. They did not seem to think a greeting or any form of communication was a necessity for interaction with paying customers. So my advice avoid this...

Clean and tidy. Not sure how they manage to stay open as it's always been quiet when I've been. Average prices for alcohol. Decent pool table. Toilets not the best.

Shocking food places. ORDERED 2 Mix Grills £ 50 for Both Which thought Pricey. Then they Turned up the peas wasn't Cooked then We realised they wasn't Pineapple on the plate Which Said on Menu .then was Eating it then Noticed they wasn't even Chicken on the plate .When we Asked the girl who was on front of house She Said they Run out Chicken. WHich is fine but they New it but didn't mention it. Hoping we wouldn't get on to it .when we pulled her she said I'm gonna ring the Boss and let him know . Which OK luv but we still are Down Chicken on our plate that we've payed for. Any one with half Brain would or manager Skills would give a percent off the Bill or free Drink or extra gammon . Thought she was gonna come back but she Didn't. Will not be returning. Place was dead Which we should of got on to that the Food wasn't gonna be great. Very bad experience! Ordered drinks, the diet coke out of the draft machine tasted nothing like diet coke, it tasted of just syrup! I complained about it, so this was swapped for bottled diet coke at no extra charge (which I was happy with). We ordered 2 mixed grills, when they arrived it had no pineapple on it, and no chicken. I mentioned it to the waitress, she went back in the kitchen but didn't communicate very well. We carried on eating and a while later she came out with pineapple on a plate. So I asked where the chicken was, I was told that they had run out of chicken!! Surely they should have told us that before hand! The barmaid said that she would contact the manager, but she never came back to us. We ate what we got and left. Definitely would not recommend this place at all, very disappointed. No communication, no apology and no refund or discount really poor service and food

We sadly didn't have a good experience. We ordered food, and waited over 30 minutes. It wasn't busy, so when we asked what had happened we found out the kitchen hadn't received the food order. Mistakes happen, but we were upset, as it was not because the staff were run off their feet serving customers. They were very apologetic. Hope you have a better experience than we did.

The place was empty on a sunny sunday afternoon. Paid premium price for a average meal. A family came in looked at the menu and walked back out heard them comment on how expensive it was. This is probably why the place was empty. Roast dinner was 13.95 and 3.95 extra for cauliflower cheese so 17.95 so would expect a nice steak for that. Sorry i not be returning.

Ordered the curry and I have to say, VERY unhappy. Horrible meal !!. Was advised it was a home made curry with a tomatoey sauce, I thought ok, I can do that but what it was, was minced up tomato with I guess tomato puree and the slightest taste of curry powder, way over cooked chicken, overall, little to no taste, rice that was ok'ish, under cooked chips and a popadom. We weren't asked if the food was ok, it was delivered and that's it. That was £14.95 totally wasted, it was over priced even if it wasn't as bad as it was. I cannot stress enough just how poor that meal was. I left more than 90% of it, I disliked it so much. Just read the bad reviews and it seems there have been other complaints about the curry, and those people complained and the staff didn't seem to care.

Very overpriced nearly £16 for fish chips peas .fish was OK but the chips were dry hard inedible sent them back for not being cooked came back over cooked I think it was the boss who took are plates and she must of seen that the chips that we had sent back once were still on the plate very unprofessional .The highlights were that the young lady who served us was lovely and very helpful Don't waste your money here.

Unhygienic and very expensive for pub food. £20 for sausage and mash very extortionate. Table we sat at was cleaned with something that made the varnish on the table come off on to my t shirt. Definitely will not be making another visit anytime soon.

We called at The Cayley Flyer for a late lunch. Fantastic choice. Great service food and price. Chicken and mushroom pie. Beef curry Gammon egg chips and pineapple. Met the new owner. All great would definitely recommend. 5 Star plus. Thanks Dickie 😀

Had 3 small plates for £12 and a lasagne and a kids sausage and chips. Chips were perfect. All of the food was really tasty. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely go again if we're in the area.

The pub will be refurbished at time of visit, so not so many choices of drinks nor cocktails. Even something to eat has gone already. Will review again after refurbishment.

Went today wife had battered haddock in a toasted bun with a few peas and a few lettuce leaves ,served on a piece of Slate no bigger than 6 inches by 3 inches and a basket of Frozen chips , I had supposedly was thy red vegetable curry which turned out to be a few sliced Boiled potato in a Wishy Washy sauce / soup , when asked by the waiter did we enjoy our meal I said it was Bland and tasteless , certainly not Curry ,he just took our crockery away NO APPOLOGY !! Never again 😠😠

This place is nothing short of a dump. The toilets are minging and look like they never get cleaned. God knows what the kitchen is like.

Lovely traditional pub with a huge warm welcome. Great music and delicious food which was reasonably priced. Toilets a bit messy but it was late in the day. Definitely worth a visit, and we will certainly go back.

Huge portions of roast dinner! Beef was lovely, the lamb was tender. Had small portions and we were all full. Glad we found it right at the end.

My Wife and I arrived late on Sunday afternoon with our Two lads,one of there girlfriends and there Son of 18 months old. Oh and our dog Roxy the Saffie. The wife and I had a beautiful beef roast. Lovely vegetables and chips too,with lovely meat. The lads are like usual teenages; fussy! The Chef at the Cayley Flyer made up Chicken burgers and chips for them including girlfriend and the grandson had chicken nuggets,which he loved. We had Cider,Copperberg and Cokes, Late' and a Hot chocolate which were all lovely. It's our second time here whilst Staying in Rhos on Sea The staff who served us were lovely too The food and drinks were excellent. This is the second time we have been here whilst Staying at Rhos on Sea and we know we know we will come here again. Thank you very much.

The worst meal we have ever had. We went with 2 kids.They weren't even busy and we waited for food for ages. The food well it was horrendous clearly smelt un fresh and was under cooked we had chicken burger and beef burger. All the fries were full of fat as if they been cooked twice. Don't waste your money.

The pub was dead not many customers in the pub at all.Staff constantly on their phones Both me and my husband ordered some food Steak and chips which was awful the presentation was disgusting and the steak had been cooked in microwave .The fish tasted old .The food was awful .Told member of staff about this and they didn't respond or even offer money back or another meal . Would not recommend this place to anyone in the future.
