Kings Head Pub in Conwy

Quite civilised place for a drink. A bit localish but that is fine as they are all civilised here too!Only had a quick drink as I was waiting for my hotel to allow me in as it was not quite 3pm!! The locals and staff made me feel quite welcome.Worth a visit

Had an excellent roast at the kings head,staff where brilliant and all covid friendly,lets hope where back open after the 2 week lockdown.

We checked availability in the afternoon. We arrived at agreed time and were made welcome. Good was good and covid measures were in place . We would go there agajn.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our Lunch we had the Ploughman's and a pulled beef sandwich, both presented well and served by very friendly staff.

Went for Sunday lunch with my family of four. We had 3 lamb and 1 beef Sunday roast. The meat was dry and starting to curl You could have soled your walking boots with it, and the roast potatoes were Rock hard. Some of the younger staff were clueless when we asked to move to a sunnier table. They told us they would clean the table first, and then let other customers have the table. No explanation or apology. We definitely will not waste our money here again.

We’ve been twice now: 1st, for Sunday lunch - absolutely nom nom! Perfect. 2nd, for Monday evening tea - great burger. Highly recommended.

Excellent food and good staff who are very attentive and polite, nice atmosphere as well. Will be visiting again.

Not been since covid, but had no worries on that front as this place was really covid friendly. Before you set foot in the place they take your details and show you to a table. All tables and chairs disinfected after use. Plenty of staff to look after you, all smart and friendly. The stella was amazing, the food was the same, and if gets a bit chilli there are wall heaters to warm you up. Very, very well organised. Well done and thank you.

I'd been here several times before during previous visits to this town but not since COVID and the more formal arrangements having to be made. The venue had obviously taken trouble to devise appropriate procedures and I went there two nights running. The staff were lovely, appreciated more when going there on my own, especially Nina and Tania, who made sure I had a decent table both nights. Well done to everyone there for working so hard. Hope to come again on future visits.

What an absolute gem we found here , food was excellent, the service tremendous Tania and Jess serviced our table , they are a credit to your business . Professional, polite , great sense of humour ,highly recommended

Visited on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Managed to get a table outside. Plenty of staff around to take food and drink orders. The sandwiches we had (coronation chicken & pulled beef) were a good size and very tasty. The place was very well organised. Staff were attentive, and tables were cleaned between each guest.

Food was lovely couldn’t fault it bar staff worked their socks off very welcoming all properly social distancing was nice lovely 👍

Came to the kings head for our first meal out after lockdown, absolutely perfect in every way! Food was divine with a great selection to suit all tastes, great selection of Gins and beers. The best thing about this place is definitely the staff always came around checking on us never had a empty glass and all so happy and friendly. Plenty of tables all spaced out well and is the most perfect sun spot!! This place is not to be missed on your travels, well done kings head We will be back Very Very soon :)

Called for a drink on a sunny hot day and sat outside. Didn’t eat but the food looked great. Certainly the service from the ladies waiting on was top class and always with a smile. Very impressive and worthy of 5*

A disappointing visit for us.We went 6 of us for lunch at the kingshead. The menu was very limited, OK fair enough. A lot of places have a limited menu these days. My partner is pregnant and wasn't very hungry so we asked for the possibility for a sandwich. We were told no sorry we can't but we can have a bowl of chips. We even offered to pay full price of a main course for it!So anyway we order a kids fish a adult fish and two steak burger. We didn't wait to long for the food to arrive.The fish was OK, a lot of batter maybe a but to much and the fish was really greasyNow to the burger, the burger came and it was still pink, fair enough I don't mind a bit of pink. But my friend asked for a new one as it was not cooked enough. If you want to serve your burgers pink at least ask at point of order.Also in the UK you actually aren't allowed to serve pink burgers unless you cut and mince the meat for your burgers yourself and use the mince within 24 hours.So maybe have a look into that before your next eho visit?!

The Kings Head have got it right, especially during Covid. Service and staff were fantastic as was the food.

We spent a delightful weekend in Llandudno. Advised to visit Kings head for good food. Yes the food was superb, but all the staff were superb! Polite , attentive and courteous. Particularly Tanya, a very cheerful and friendly young lady, doing a great job! Well done to all. Thank you. X

What can I say!! The staff were amazing and attentive, polite, friendly the list could go on....especially a girl called Emma she kept an eye on us, to move us from the rain to better seats, took photos for us, kept us filled up with drink incredible girl asset to your business! Food was great perfect, absolutely perfect!

Walked up and down the great orme and found this pub at side of the closed tramway. Service was really friendly and quick. Observing Social distance really well. Definitely be back

We only went for quick drink the beer good and glass of Red Wine went down well. They staff are great they are doing good job in spite of this Corvid problem. Worth a visit

I attend the kings head fairly often and today was the first time I've been since lockdown. I must admit I was skeptical after visiting a few places in town earlier in the week. But the kings head was miles ahead of the rest without making it awkward at the same time. I felt very safe and thoroughly enjoyed my fish and chips (And a few pints). Very impressed with the staff and cleanliness of the place. Best place in llandudno!

Brilliant set up here with regard to Covid. Staff are pleasant and paying attention to hygiene. Track and trace on entering the pub garden. Tables are sanitised with spray after people leave. Felt so comfortable and safe. Would definitely come here again.

Visited early September on a Friday (party of 9 a 4 adults 5 children) called to book a table 30 mins before and was told to turn up and there should be availability. Greeted by staff and shown our table - great service, great staff and lovely food. Would defiantly visit again when in the area. Lots of things in place for COVID, hand sanitizers, contactless payment and table service.

Excellent service, very attentive staff, not overly. Good ale. Wonderful steak fir me and Steakburger for my wife. Will highly recommend

Unable to book a table here although reserve signs on some tables which was confusing but staff friendly and helpful We arrived around 6pm and got a table. food was Wholesome, tasty, well presented and generous portions. Hubby tried pravha beer for the first time here and it was a big hit. Would recommend you visit here I don’t think you will be disappointed

Was walk-ins only when we visited, the staff were welcoming and friendly and their attention to regulations regarding COVID-19 was second to none. The food was first class, so good that we went back the night after. The atmosphere in this place is is like no other, an utter joy just to be there. Cannot praise the place, the staff or the food highly enough.

Meal was generally very good, crab fish cakes as a starter was excellent but huge, share if you don't have a big appetite. Fish and chips was good but was not keen on the mushy peas. I prefer normal mushy peas to the "posh" mushy peas (blended garden peas) that was served here.

Came away to Llandudno for the bank holiday weekend. Had been recommended to come here for Sunday lunch so we came on Saturday to enquire about booking and were told by one of the extremely friendly staff that Sunday Lunch was walk-ins only.Came back on Sunday and had a fantastic Sunday Lunch.The COVID measures are 2nd to none and the food was excellent.The best thing about this place are the staff. Extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough to help, very efficient table service.Will definitely come back next time we visit Llandudno.

Came for food on a busy Saturday evening - eerything was very well-managed, with friendly staff setting expectations about wait times. We were actually seated really quickly, and I had ones of the best pies I've ever had - the pastry on the chicken pie is something else! Lovely selection of ales, and the staff were very kind and attentive to our greyhound, providing him with water and a blanket to lie on - he loved it as much as we did!

We were told that this pub had an excellent chef and we might be able to eat, if other places were booked(50% deal). We sat outside as the evening was tranquil.The food was excellent and the beer and wine was exceptional.We went back the night after, which we don’t normally do. Well worth payin full price!

Visited yesterday for the eat out scheme, but they didn't give us the offer on our soft drinks. I had the burger that came out with horse radish on it, which wasnt stated on the menu, and I couldn't tell anyone as no one came over to check on us, staff were bickering that they didn't know what was going on, and when we tried to order we were told they had to get someone else, who didn't turn up so a gentleman came and took our order after waiting for over 20 minutes. We won't be returning for food unfortunately

Was on holiday up from London visiting family, the owner managed to fit us in last minute and was so glad he did...the food is honestly to die for, one of the best meals we’ve had! The service was brilliant as well...will definitely be back again next time!

Visited today a family of 10, couldn’t do enough for us! Excellent food, excellent service, friendly atmosphere, only visiting for the day but we all could quite happily have stayed here all day/night!! Baffled by the poor review of ‘food bought by a van at restaurant prices’ really not sure this was the pub you visited?? Between us we had Fish & Chips, Sunday Lunch & Steak Burger .. everything bob on! Will definitely be calling again! Thank you!

Absolutely fantastic food and great service. Best pub Sunday dinner ever and would highly recommend. Went in as a family and everyone enjoyed the food and service. Made to feel very welcome. We visited here on a really sunny day. They have a great beer garden, so we sat outside and enjoyed a few drinks. We had to wait a little while for a seat as it was really busy. It was table service only which was a little slow but they were busy. We didn’t eat here but the food we saw going to other tables looked nice.

We headed to the Kings Head today after a long search to find somewhere that would accept 7 of us and our 5 (small) dogs. They couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating, and the pub itself is cozy and traditional. The food was absolutely delicious, I had the blade of beef which was amazing. The deserts were also generous and so tasty. We were so pleased we found this hidden gem and definitely recommend it if your looking for a decent meal and lovely customer service.

We were warmly welcome at the King's Head, along with our labrador. We had a large outdoor table with umbrella, well distanced from other guests. The staff were very friendly and very happy for our dog to join us.The food was lovely, the best coronation chicken I've had in ages. Lovely salad and chunky chips (with melted cheese on request from my 11 year old!).We would definitely go again. Xx

Want to complement the staff for exceptional customer service from the moment we arrived. Friendly greeting, felt very safe with regards to covid precautions and spacing, staff took our drinks order and had drinks on the table within minutes (after a very long wait at another pub this was exactly what we needed). One particular staff member had only started 2 weeks ago but couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful, keep up the good work, highly recommend

Called in by chance walking down the Orme because of the fantastic smell from half way up the street. It was one of those occasions where it was definitely worth stopping. The food was absolutely superb. The service was great (big shout out to the staff). My partner is a really fussy eater, but this place goes on the list of restaurants worthy of another visit!

Was really looking forward to eating at The King's Head as the feedback was amazing on Trip Advisor and the hotel recommended it.Alas it was slightly ruined by the rowdy group sat near us. Shouting and swearing. . . There were families with children eating there and your staff should have requested that they tone it down. It spoiled our visit and I'm sure that of others too.On a positive note the staff work very efficiently and the food was very good! Tasty and well presented.

Me my wife & pooch visited this pub on three occasions and the service during this awkward time was spot on , very friendly staff and we never sat around waiting for our drinks order. Excellent service .

Had a lovely meal with my son , kids sausage, mash and gravy and I had the steak burger with a soft drink and an alcoholic drink everything was £14. They also have a good selection of ales and they are dog friendly. Highly recommended.

Needed to quench our thirst after walking from West shore too Llandudno via the toll road. Warm friendly welcome and a great pint!

Walked past by chance & popped in.. spent the rest of the afternoon there in the sun, it was great! The staff were really conscious about social distancing, cleaning, track & trace. We felt really ‘safe’ in there. Definitely worth a visit :)

In the present circumstances, organisation is key. The King's Head has everything 100% sorted. Plenty of staff to ensure proper tracking details noted, quick table service and thorough cleaning. Staff are clearly well trained and very friendly. And food and beer great as ever!

What a brilliant pub looking up at The Orme, we had been for a drink earlier and seen how good the food looked so decided to try it out. Great choice of starters and mains and good value, I did not expect the quality or quantity it was beautiful, had to pass half of my starter and main to hubby who struggled NOT. Well worth a visit, excellent staff but please read the signs and don’t just walk in.

Great outdoor seating area well managed in the current Covid situation tables cleaned after every customer sign in or app login procedure.Plenty of helpful friendly staff. We dropped in a couple of times for drinks during our two day stay great sunny location for us.

Visited today for a light lunch. Efficient booking in for COVID. Staff friendly and helpful. Food excellent. Smoked salmon salad was lovely and the homemade soup was really tasty. Highly recommend

We headed to the Kings Head as they probably have the largest outdoor seating area in Llandudno. Service was good, efficient and friendly. Plenty of staff, plenty of cars machines. They had managed the situation well.

Me and my family went tonight for our last supper before the pub closes and the food and service couldn't of been any better. Tanya, was polite and helpful and always with a smile on her face. The gammon was very tasty and the home made chips were the best chips I've had in ages. I'll look forward to it reopening.

Food wasnt as good as it used to be ..I had fish and chips ..fish ok chips weren't up to much hubby had ham egg and chips and that was just ok we both left the chips ..weren't even asked were they ok ....overpriced too

We went with our dog on a Saturday night, nicely busy with atmosphere and warm on a cold blowy evening. Food was great, good amount of veg for a change, pie and nut roast just great. Cask beer in top nick. So good we went the next evening with same results. Probably better overall than the cottage loaf, which is also top drawer.

A great pub with a nice cosy atmosphere. Good choice of real ales and gins. There was so much choice on the menu, we went in for Sunday lunch and opted for the brisket, which in my opinion was the most beautiful meat I had ever tasted, and my partner agreed.

Went on a Thursday evening. It was very quiet. Lovely and warm inside. Ordered 2 Steaks and 1 Kings Burger... the food was spot on. We had to wait a tiny bit longer than I would have liked, but..... It was worth the wait!!!!!!! The Steaks were cooked to perfection. Onion Rings on the Burger were huge!!!!! It was a first visit and if I ever go to this part of Wales again I will happily come back. Staff were lovely. It was clean and friendly. Very impressed.

We have been coming to Llandudno for many years but tonight was the first visit to The Kings Head - and it will not be the last. A lovely, traditional pub, friendly and attentive service and the food was excellent. Great value too. Put this one on your list, definitely not to be missed.

Tucked away up a side street by the tram station, this is a traditional pub ( oldest in Llandudno!) with log fires, bar or restaurant meals. Very friendly staff and is obviously greatly used by locals which is always a good sign. I had a steak and ale pie, which was home made with proper pastry, none of that silly puffy lid stuff!! It was delicious and very filling. The waitress that served us was very pleasant and attentive and we had quite a long, pleasant chat with her. Made to feel very welcome and will be going back next month.

Every year we go here as our favourite Llandudno pub! Warm welcome and dogs are welcome which adds to the place. Bar staff are fab and the atmosphere is welcoming. Although I didn't est here the food served looked on the professional level.

we have come here several years and you always get a warm welcome from staff and customers They have a cheese evening every sunday and we get welcome to join them all the time They have amazing open fire wood wood blazing away to keep you warm the beer is well kept and the food very tasty would invite all my family and friends here

Booked the day before, table for five, dog friendly and baby friendly. Excellent choice. Friendly staff, gluten free options available with no hassle. The food was delicious, definately recommend the chicken Kiev. Lovely traditional pub.

Great food, quality and quantity were fantastic! The King's Head obviously has an excellent chef, all was cooked to perfection and was very tasty. Good value for money.

We visitors this pub today, on our way back to Liverpool from Bangor. We ordered red wine (which was excellent). I had chicken Kiev which was homemade, huge, and beautifully cooked. My husband ordered a roast dinner with welsh salted brisket beef. We have never seen a roast dinner like it. It was excellent, lots of it, and perfectly cooked! The service was impeccable, even to the point of being offered extra gravy to ‘finish our meal’. We were also very welcomed by the locals and basically didn’t want to leave. We will be back.

We loved the food in the Kings Head so much we ate there twice in a weekend.

We go to The Kings Head at least twice a week for a drink and love it, so we booked Christmas Day Dinner there. As one of our daughters is Vegetarian, she didn't like any of the meals available, So Nina brought Colin the Chef out to speak to us they were so helpful and agreed to do a Wellington with cheese instead of Beef. On the day we were shown to our table and was brought Canapes out, a very tasty start, the meal was superb, hot and good portions, the Chrismas puddings was by far the best I've ever tasted. What I love about the Kings Head is that it still has the feel of a Pub, not sanitized or made to look like something it's not, plus great staff, spot on cask Ale and a Pub serving restaurant quality food. We are lucky that its 5 minutes from where we live if you are coming to Llandudno this year take time out to go to the Kings Head....Tell them Sumbie sent you!!!!

We regularly call in here for a drink and a meal when in Llandudno. Ate on the 30th December for my birthday celebration and saw a menu for New Years Eve so booked.

Was driving around and saw this place so decided to pop in for a quick meal. I was greeted at the restaurant by two lovely waitress and showed me to my table. I was recommended the chicken burger- and wasn’t disappointed.

Second visit in a week whilst here on holiday for Christmas as Traditional home cooked food. Very friendly staff and good food. Lovely cosy pub

Having not been to the Kings Head for May years, we recently ate there and were most impressed. Good quality pub food, not ‘gastro pub’ just good quality tasty food. Good service from all the staff.

We decided to stop off for a drink after walking around The Great Orme. Lovely atmosphere and staff very friendly. We were that impressed we went back later in the evening for food and live entertainment. You have got to try the hot pot, it was mouth watering and the Moretti lager went down a treat. Dogs more than welcome. We'll definitely be returning

Came to landudno for the weekend had two meals at the king's head both were outstanding. Would highly recommend. Staff very friendly nothing to much trouble. 10 out of 10

Well as a group of 6 we come to llandudno with a larger group of dance friends for a weekender..usually 2 or 3 times a year. ..staying in one of the local hotels....

A while ago I reviewed The Kings Head with a 1 star! This was due to the website having stated that they were open for meals on a Sunday evening but they weren't, this caused us a problem when we took a taxi ride only to find them closed for food! Anyway, I /We decided to give The Kings Head a wide birth for a j as before the beer was well kept and our light snack of halloumi fries and homemade tomato ketchup was absolutely spot on, our service was quick and the staff were very pleasant.

Great pub serving a good selection of real ales. Visited several times and always worth stopping by for a drink. Menu options loom good but have not eaten here but it always seems busy. Highly recommended!

I came across the Kings Head whilst on my way down from the Big Orme, I had to take a look inside.

we were staying in LLanddudno for a weekend break. Met up with some friends and wanted somewhere to eat on the Saturday evening; the only issue being that it must be dog friendly. WOW! What a place. Big open fire burning, really friendly polite staff and the people in the pub were just really nice.Usually when i go somewhere with my dog i get the feeling that they want you there because you are spending money but aren't so keen on the dog. Couldn't be further from the truth. Great place, really attentive staff and the food was wonderful. We had a table for 4 people in the bar but just enough out of the way so we could eat in peace. If i lived in Llandudno this would be my local because it is that good.

We visited Llandudno in August 2019, for a long weekend, we were a party of 4 people staying in the Evans Hotel.

Came across this pub tonight. While just walking up towards tram

Definitely worth a visit, especially with the dog. Very friendly and welcoming. Invited us to the live music later but we couldn't stop... Menu was small but food was excellent and delicious - will definitely return again.

We really enjoyed the food here and the portions were hearty.

I call into the King’s head on a regular basis when working in North Wales.

My husband booked a table for us and our daughter in the pub area as we were taking our dog along ( dogs not allowed in the upper restaurant area)..but once we were seated, the live band who were going to perform later in the evening, began to practise on the drums. Our dog is very nervous of loud noises and became upset and agitated immediately. My husband told one of the waitresses who went away, came back to us and informed us she had asked if we could go and sit in the restaurant as it was further away from the music and quieter. This was an exception and worked a treat as our dog settled immediately. This kind gesture went a long way with us and the added bonus was that the staff and food were wonderful! I would recommend this pub to anyone.. we actually went back the next day for Sunday lunch which was beautiful!

We came Llandudno for a weekend away. 4 adults and a dog. We came to the Kings head on our first night as it was close by to our rented house. The staff were very friendly and always had a smile on the face. The food was very nice and allowed me (a picky eater) to make alterations with out pulling faces. My little Schnauzer was also welcome in the pub area, which was quite large not just a little area in a corner. We enjoyed it the first night so we came back the second and third night we were in Llandundno. Highly recommend

The beer tasted like vinegar I took it back and order another beer to be told that the beer that I took back had finished. Paid again for a another pint .The meal that we had was lovely and it did a little to compensate for the bad service with the beer

We popped in for a drink when we got off the tram ride. A couple of drinks later we ordered the small plates/tapas (I think we got all of them for 5 of us to share). The food was amazing. so enjoyable. Then just as we were about to walk back to our hotel a live singer came on. The music was so good we stayed for a few more drinks. What a lovely, chilled, enjoyable afternoon with friends. We came back in the evening to listen to another live music act. Would definitely return.

Only popped in as it was cold outside and dog friendly. We were met with warm welcome and friendly staff.

We ordered food which took for ever to arrive. The starters were good, my partner had a burger which was fine. However my pie was still frozen in the middle. When I brought this to the attention of the staff the waitress said she’s warm it up. We had waited over an hour and I said it wasn’t really safe to partially warm food and re serve. I asked for a refund. She gave me back the value of my purse. Very disappointing.

Popped in for drinks as saw that this is the oldest pub in Llandudno. Thought prices were a little higher that in the town.
